But the idea of (semi)permanently changing your face was something I daydreamed for several years before finally making the plunge. When I found Lindsey via her instagram account, it was a no brainer. Her skill, quality of work, and taste is extremely clear. So I decided it was finally the time and booked an appointment - after weeks of waiting to finally get a slot in one of her coveted bimonthly booking sessions. Again, though it felt a bit like booking a Coachella ticket, I luckily got an appointment on my first round of attempts. The fact that she can pull off this way of scheduling is legit #goals. The day of the appointment was also fabulous. Her spot is clean, fresh and lovely. The appointment started with a consult for the process of microblading - reviewing the styles of "blading," how the treatment would go, healing process, etc. We then drew on shape before she started the official process. I have had my brows tattooed several times over the years. This was my first experience with micro blading and it was a fantastic experience! They look so natural. Lindsey is so talented and she has a really good eye. My first session we decided to give micro blading a try. I loved it!! However on my touch up session I decided to ombré; micro blading leading the way followed by powder filled for the rest of the brow just for the maintenance factor. I hate giving bad reviews, but after thinking about it after a year, I believe my experience should be used by the microblading artist with future clients. I came to Lindsay after having 2 tattoos done over the course of 4 years. The last one had left me with a weird squared shape and also some white marks of what she tried to erase. I had told Lindsay that I wanted to cover all of that up. Everything seemed fine, I had my first session and I thought that by the 2nd session she would do what I had asked for, but no. I left her place and in my car immediately noticed my 2 eyebrows were not the same, so I went back inside and told her this. She looked uncomfortable with my request, maybe embarrassed, but I just wanted them to look perfect. After weeks I kept noticing that I could no longer see any strokes and that the shape was still the same. So I emailed Lindsay and her response was to recommend laser removal after the fact. Not before she did anything, but after. And to me it just felt like she was making sure I didn't hold her responsible, but to me this was just plain lazy. I had asked if there was something else we could do, but it seemed she just didn't want me as a client. I paid over $600 for basically just some color correction, without any shape correction or even a proper follow-up. During this year I've seen other microblading artists and was told beforehand to get laser removal, which is what I did. It makes all the difference to have people advise you on what to do before they charge you for a service they know will not be good. I wish Lindsay all the success in the world, I just wish I hadn't wasted so much money before knowing exactly what to do. My friend recommended Lindsey for micro-blading. She said Lindsey is the only person I should consider and to follow her IG page. I followed for a few months and was lucky enough to get an appointment in June for combo brows and touch-up in July. I love, love my brows! 10 minutes saved in the a.m.! My brows healed nicely. I had a little bit of flakey but I was able to go about my day with no hesitation. I also felt like I didn't need the touch-up appointment because my brows already looked so good.
