I bought a gift certificate for Christmas - 4 days later, went to the store and asked for a refund, they said no, but they lost it and had to write me a new one, then claimed that it said "no refunds" on the certificate, which was a lie, then said "we have a sign that says no refunds", but they never mentioned it, then said we will give me a partial refund, then offered to "direct you to the Washington State Attorney General Website", and, now accuse me of "threatening and harassing behavior". Jury's still out. Seemed clean, smelled nice, and decent pricing. Front desk staff and tech were not overtly mean but certainly not kind, friendly, or customer service driven. To be honest, I felt like my presence was a burden and that made me pretty uncomfortable for the duration of my time there. I couldn't fully relax which was disappointing since I really needed to and came there to do so. The space where the service took place was comfortable. The service itself was mediocre which I chalk up to the tech who seemed to hate being there. I'll give the spa another chance because I was really excited to make it my new place to relax and unwind and hope that I still can. I like the numerous service options and the pricing. Next time, I'll ask for a different tech and avoid conversing with the front desk as much as possible. Fingers crossed! I had not heard about this place until my mom got a certificate for me! I wasn't busy today and figured I'd call them to see if there's availability for a facial-- and there was! Calling to book was very easy and I was able to have an appointment scheduled in a few hours. If it is your first time, you'll need to arrive 5ish minutes prior to your time to fill out paperwork and it is only street parking here so plan accordingly. I walked in and it it's a pretty small lobby with someone in the back at the front desk. There was a small bench which is where I waited until I was called in. I was greeted by Reina who was my facial it's and I completely recommend her! She was so friendly, making sure I was comfortable the whole time, was very knowledgeable with all the questions I had and really took her time with my skin. I got a mini facial which included cleanser, a massage, a mask, extractions and she added on light therapy to benefit my concerns. We were able to have a conversation the whole time and it was great getting to know her! With all my questions, she gave me advice and recommendations without being too pushy. I had an incredible shea butter body treatment today with a refresh facial. Madison was WONDERFUL and I will absolutely request her again in the future! She made me feel so calm and comfortable so I could thoroughly enjoy my time there. She explained each step/process and discussed some ways to improve my skin. The worst experience of my life! I would never go back to this place. On my birthday, my husband organized a surprise for me with this spa. He made two appointments for me. One that included a facial and the second one for manicure and pedicure service. The day my husband made the reservation they did not give him information about their "policies and conditions." My birthday came, I went on my first appointment and I was 10 minutes late. The receptionist told me that I missed the appointment that she was calling me to confirm but I never answered. I didn't have any missed calls, neither did my husband. When the receptionist checked our information, it was all incorrect , so they obviously never called. This spa did nothing for me on my first appointment. I sat and waited for 30 minutes to go to another appointment I had and I would come back for my manicure and pedicure later. The receptionist informed me that I would have to pay $40 as a fee for missing an appointment. I agreed. When I returned for my manicure appointment they informed me about their new policies and they asked me to sign a document. I signed it innocently. During my manicure, I asked to speak to several people about my first appointment I missed and insisted if there was a solution. They told me that it was possible to reschedule my appointment for the following Wednesday. At the time of paying my mani and pedi, he charged my card $166 plus taxes. I thought they had charged the manicure and pedicure service, the $40 fine for missing an appointment, and that they had successfully rescheduled my facial for Wednesday. I paid, walked to my car and realized they had not told me the date of the new appointment. I walked back to the place to ask them about the new appointment. I was completely astonished when these people told me that they had charged almost 200 dollars just for the mani and pedi service and that they were charging me IN FULL FOR A FACIAL SERVICE I didn't receive. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! I asked to speak to the manager and she told me that unfortunately those were their policies. I called my husband because I felt that I could no longer handle the situation. I am Hispanic and my English wasn't good enough to communicate clearly. My husband arrived a few minutes later and asked to speak to the manager. They were all immediately very rude towards him. The manager told him that she felt that the problem was that their spa wasn't a place for "YOU PEOPLE!" They told us to leave or they were going to call the police. THIS PLACE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME AND ARE ALSO DISCRIMINATORY. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They completely ruined my birthday. It is completely abusive to charge a full service when someone is 10 minutes late for an appointment. Not to mention my mani and pedi was horrible the next day. Although our nail technician did a nice job with the foot/hand scrub and paraffin treatments, I was not happy with how my nails turned out. Had I done them myself (having little practice at painting nails) I would have been pleased, but it's pretty shocking a professional did this. My French manicure is uneven and it looks as though some of the red tips hadn't dried before she added the clear top coat, making the rest of my nail look slightly pink. From far away they're ok, but this cost a lot of money for it to look this way. She also seemed impatient for us to leave, and my friend ruined her own nails as she was putting her shoes back on. I hate to leave bad reviews, and of course the technician asked what we thought, but what was I going to say? If I said I didn't like it, was she going to make it look any better? Surely she could not think she did a good job. If she was going to fix it, she would have without my asking for her to do so. I wouldn't return here. read more

I want to start out by saying I had a very relaxing experience here but I can't help but be very disappointed in the service I received. A spa mani/pedi is not cheap here by any means, therefore I would expect quality work done. The woman who did mine (who I can't name because she never told me her name) was very sweet and redid one of my finger nails I was not satisfied with. After I took a closer look at my toenails when I got home I noticed they weren't even painted all the way to the edges, the coat is very uneven, brush marks everywhere, just all around not done well. My sister thought I did my own nails and when I told her they were done at Head to Toe she was shocked how bad they looked. I did add a 15 min extra foot massage to my appt which was amazing and if I was to go back I would definitely stick to massage services only. I got a pedicure and gel manicure here as a little treat myself gift. The good Pedicure: 5 star fantastic. Everything was very clean, my feet are smooth and the polish is lovely. Loved the salt scrub and the hot stones! Would 100% get a pedicure here again. My husband got a men's pedicure and was so happy with it that he wants to go again. Win win! Edit! Changing my review: I contacted the spa about my chipping manicure and they wanted to make it right so they gave me a gift certificate worth the amount of the manicure for a future service and did a gel polish change at no charge. I think the color I had picked was faulty which caused it to cure incorrectly, since my second color seems much better! Still wish they had an actual table to do nails at, seems awkward in recliners but not the worst. The bad Gel Manicure: 2.5 stars. First off the color selection for the gel manicures isn't the best, not as many options as other places. The led machine was sort of broken and not working the best. Okay fine no big deal we worked around it. Everything else was just okay, nothing outstanding or particularly pampering. There's bumps in my polish, and I got a metallic shade and you can see the weird brush lines on my nails. The thing I'm most bummed about is that literally 3 days later my gel is peeling off and chipping around the edges. I've had other gel manicures that lasted well into 3 weeks without a single chip so I'm really disappointed that I paid extra for a shoddy gel manicure. Allison is the best eyelash girl (I know she has many other talents as well tho!) I have ever been to! She tinted my super blonde eyelashes for my wedding/honeymoon and I was very satisfied with the results. She really knows what she's doing and is very knowledgeable about skin too, and all things beauty. My lashes looked beautiful and natural. She also has such a sweet personality, is hilarious, and made me really comfortable. I will always go to her anytime I want eyelash or brow care. I really really REALLY love body exfoliation. I have travelled far to find THE best exfoliation. Yes, I have been known to go to beaches while vacationing to get my exfoliation on. For you that also REALLY love your exfoliation, you might enjoy the exfoliation here for these reasons: -very thorough 1hr exfoliation with great pressure -exfoliation w/o technician using gloves -fluid motion while exfoliating -combination of oil and scrub -did I mention thorough? Like other spas, they do have a shower in the exfoliation room that makes it easy for the transition for other services or exit. I'm a first time Mama, and my husband got me a gift card for Christmas. I finally scheduled some time for myself, and decided to go all in. I started off with a 1 hr-Massage, then a shea wrap, and a mini facial. I've gotten facials and massages before, but this was the most relaxing experience I've ever had. I saw Rachel for my massage, she was great, was checking in with the pressure and just let me relax. For my wrap and facial I was with Reina, she is so nice and knowledgeable. I was given some samples of her recommendations based on my needs. In the past places have tried to chat too much , or sell so hard that I didn't get to enjoy my experience. That was not the case here. I'm feeling incredible, and grateful to have spent half of my Saturday at Head to Toe. I look forward to coming back. read more

I've had some pretty bad spa experiences (robe too small, "slippers" provided don't fit my large feet - I'd expect an upscale spa to be able to accommodate for this) and Head to Toe restored my faith in spas. My first visit was a simple brow wax, and let me tell you, Betty is fantastic! I won't trust my brows to anyone else - EVER! Betty really took the time to listen to my experiences (both good and bad) as well as what I want - we even tried growing my brows out for a period of time, which didn't work, but she worked with me to at least try. The next time I returned for a brow wax and manicure. The manicures and pedicures are done in a wonderfully relaxing environment - you sit in Poang chairs and are completely pampered. I felt odd not sitting in a stiff chair at a table, but enjoyed being able to fully relax. When I returned a third time, I had Betty do a facial - I never wanted to leave the bed she tucked me into. I had booked one facial, but Betty decided I that I needed another. I had complete faith that she wouldn't ruin my skin (or cause my sensitive, eczema prone skin to completely break-out or burn) and found that my skin was sooo much better after she'd worked her magic. I've also had the experience of having my legs waxed, for the first time ever at Head to Toe and although Betty didn't have any availability, Kim was a complete gem. She talked me through it, and I felt so comfortable with her that I let her do my brows (ssshhh, don't tell Betty!). The front desk staff are always super friendly, always offering a beverage, and they're extremely knowledge about the different services and products they sell. read more

After multiple visits here, I can finally write a review that'll help others. I started going to Head to Toe back in late 2011. Since then, I have received many 5-star worthy services from the spa. This place truly has a wonderful team of workers. Each employee is extremely friendly and overly knowledgeable. In my opinion, I have really problematic skin - I constantly get breakouts that I can't seem to control on my own, so I started getting facials at the spa. Within a couple of days after each facial, I feel like I have been given new skin! Extractions can leave me looking a little scary afterwards, but they do a wonderful job of getting all of the oil build-up out and giving my skin a good, deep cleaning. I like that the facials are specifically designed for my skin too. Usually when I go some where, they use the same products and same routine for every clients face. I like that my facial is designed for my skin and that the products being used are specifically for my skin type. Like I said previously, I think I have bad skin, but it's not as bad as I think (so I've been told) and using too harsh of a product could make it worse, so I'm glad I have these helpful professionals here to let me know what's best to use for the best results. I admit, it does seem a little pricey when you look at their menu. I love a good deal and normally wouldn't spend as much as I do here, but after multiple bad cheap Groupon experiences, I've learned that you really do get what you pay for. Your skin is nothing to be cheap with! ;) I've gotten a massage once or twice, as well. I like that the massage therapist know how to keep quiet during my massage. There's been too many times where my massage therapists at other places want to tell me their life story and hear mine in return. Errr.. So, thank you H2T! I appreciate the relaxation and the silence, lol. I will continue to be a loyal customer of H2T as long as they continue to work their magic and give me the amazing results I'm looking for when I get a facial, which I know they will! :) read more

Recently received a brow tint and lash curl from Joni. While I was there, she convinced me to get a lash tint as well. The only question I have is why the heck didn't I do this before!?! I absolutely love the results - no mascara or curling my lashes? Yes, please! I adored Joni. She is personable, skilled and knowledgeable about current trends and processes. The salon itself is clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The staff has been extremely punctual each time I've had an appointment, which seems to be rare these days. This place is worth every single penny you pay. I feel myself relax just walking by the building. When you walk in, you're greeted by calming music and very friendly staff. (I almost feel the stress whoosh away from me when I cross the threshold into the place...it's really incredible.) I've enjoyed massages and the pedicures here. Next on my list is the steam room, which I noticed on the "menu" of services the last time I was getting a pedicure. (Definitely will do the steam room this winter when I've had it with the cold, clammy, crappy weather around here.) I just can't think of anything I haven't loved here. I'm always being plied with a beverage or offered a toasty, heavenly-scented neck pillow. They way that they anticipate what you need before you even realize what you want is amazing. It's all of the little things (the plate of oranges and chocolates, for instance, that is waiting for you after a massage) that really add up here and make you feel warm, relaxed, and totally at peace with the world. read more

I don't know much about spas - that being said, this is the second time I've visited this joint. The first time was many moons ago (many moons - though I'm not quite sure how long a moon is). I can't remember too much of that visit except I was there to try the steam shower, which was pretty cool and I would definitely do that again, but for my most recent visit (a couple weeks ago) I opted for a 60 minute massage. I should have got the 90 minute version. What can I tell you about this place? The waiting room or lobby is quite small. In fact, I think the entire place is pretty small, but I think that adds to the cozy-ness of it. When I arrived the receptionist asked if I would like tea or water, I opted for the water (not that it matters). After a short wait the masseuse introduced herself and brought me in the back; she showed me around and then she washed my feet. I like having my feet washed. You even get to pick the flavor or scent or soap or whatever it is. After that it was on for the massage, which I needed in the worst way. The massage was good. Again, I should have opted for the 90 minute session. I don't know what else to say about it, I felt better than when I went into the place (and isn't that the point of a spa - to FEEL better). Oh and after the massage I was given a couple of orange slices and a chocolate. :) All in all, it was another good Head to Toe experience and I would recommend trying this place out if you haven't already. I could of went down the street and gotten a lot better pedicure for a heck of a lot cheaper. I was supposed to get a call from the manager but it never happened. I had an appointment at 5:15pm Sunday evening. Well, 5:15 came and went. I didn't get into my appointment until 5:38pm. They also charged me the full $35, which I think was poor business, they should have given a discounted price, for what sounded like their scheduling error. (I only know that because I heard customer before me come out and pay for her treatment and mention it). I went into the actual service already upset because no one told me it would be nearly 30 minutes and gave a very non convincing apology. I don't like that the error really wasn't addressed. Plus the receptionist went MIA for 10 minutes so I was completely left in the dark. I almost left. I think that experience made the manicure not very impressive either. I won't be back for any service. Pretty disappointed to spend that kind of money on that kind of service. read more

Occasionally, I'll be at work at out of the blue, all I can think about is how badly I want to go to the spa. When this happens, I'll start searching for an available appointment. On one particular day, I wanted to try this spa in my new neighborhood. So I checked out the website and called for a massage. There was same day availability! Yes! I wanted to make sure I got a good massage, so I asked the receptionist about the LMP's education and they were able to answer my questions. I asked about add on services and added a 20 minute steam. They suggested the team after the massage, but if I'm coming straight from work, I like to have that opportunity to get cleaned up and refreshed before any kind of bodywork. Soooo.... one of my best spa experiences yet. My steam was in a private room, with towels, shower gel and bottled water waiting for me. It's a little dark, but helped me relax after a long day. Loved the steam and shower combo. 20 minutes is plenty of time to enjoy, relax and don the robe. They offer a zippered garment bag that will fit everything, including shoes and a purse so you can take your personal items into your massage room. My massage therapist was a little late finishing up her last massage, but I was so relaxed already that I didn't care. Plus she made up for it by going over in my massage. The massage was great. Fabulous pressure and technique. She listened to what I needed and was intuitive enough to figure out what needed to be done. As a massage therapist myself, I'm pretty picky about my massages, and I really enjoyed this one. Once I find out who it was, I'll post her name. Anyway, the room was cozy and warm, smelled great. The table was comfy and the LMP used head packs regularly. OMG I want to go back! After the massage, a glass of water, sliced oranges and a peppermint patty was waiting for me to enjoy as I got dressed. Loved it! read more

I recently discovered this spa in my neighborhood and I'm so glad I did! My first experience was a spa package that included their signature steam, a 60 minute massage, facial and pedicure (as well as a light lunch!). For $250, this package is a STEAL! I've paid upwards of $400 for similar packages and been happy, so this is a tremendous find. The massage was the best pro massage I've ever had, and I'm kind of a spa junkie. I wish I could recall her name. My 2nd visit was on par, although simply for a massage (different therapist, whose name is Shauna). I've got another future massage appointment on the calendar with the same therapist for next week! The experience (decor, employees, refreshments, robes, etc) are stellar considering their small space. The foot bath prior to my massage, as well as the refreshments following (a peppermint chocolate candy, orange slices and a large cool glass of water) are the kind of special and decadent touches I expect from a luxe spa experience. If I could give it 2.5, I would. I went recently with my friend for little girl's overnight (we live in Portland). We booked 1 1/2 massages and for $120 bucks; and based on the reviews of this place, I was expecting more. Upon arriving we were quickly ushered back to a foot soak. The foot soak is a nice touch, but we were both wearing boots and jeans so it was a bit like showing up for a $25 dollar spa pedicure... We should have been asked if we would like to use the restroom, changed into our robes, then the foot soak and then onto the massage... The actual massage didn't feel hurried, but my therapist seemed fresh out of school. Not bad, but again- this is premium pricing for non-premium space and services. read more
