I feel horrible writing this review as I've been to Taylor for my first and second last experience that resulted in gorgeous, comfortable lashes around 2 years ago. Taylor was recommended to me by a good friend. I am giving 2 stars because I know the ability and responsibility is here at this business. But, I am disappointed in my lashes I had done with Mimi on 12/13. I reread the reviews here with one customer saying that Mimi took a lot of breaks and rushed through lashes but did not take this seriously. My experience was the same even though Mimi was really sweet. One can take breaks all they want but I remember that when I went to Taylor, she took over an hour and did not take any phone breaks. That said, I want to be fair and say that this glue Mimi used caused an allergic reaction. I powered through and took Benadryl and religiously cleaned my lashes 2-3 times a day. I texted Mimi and she said to take allergy meds and put a warm tea bag on my eyes. Well, who wants to ruin a $275 lash job so I did not immediately rip them off myself. I woke up with swollen, crusty eyes which I spent money get Visine Allergy eye drops and Systane lid scrub wipes to attempt to keep the lashes. I went on travel to SoCal and dealt with taking Bendaryl, cleaning my lids, cleaning my lids, itching, and burning lids until 12/24. I desperately made an appointment at another lash place to get them professionally removed. I walked into H & K beauty in Mission Viejo and the lash tech there removed them for me meticulously and carefully. She did not charge me for this removal as she felt bad and wondered why I wasn't given instructions to remove them myself or why I wasn't invited back into to remove them when clearly there was an allergic reaction that led to severe redness. It is by luck I did not go blind or end up in urgent care. The lash tech showed me the amount of glue that ended up on my lids which essentially burned them. As of today, my lids not still flakey and dry but managable/hidden by the work Ha had to redo. The last tech there redid my lashes just to save my vanity and I can say that at at the time of this review, I still have extensions that look good weeks later. (3rd picture). I messaged Mimi and while she was sorry, she just told me her lids were also itchy too and instructed me get a prescription from my doctor. It was sweet she commiserated with me, but it's not about her eye lids and I don't want to spend more money to take care of my eyes at this point. The redo in SoCal was $315 and the last tech there carefully worked on my lashes for a solid 90 minutes no breaks and I had no glue residue from her work. Ha followed up every few days with me and said if my swelling did not go down, she would remove them free of charge. In all, this was a $600 ordeal for just extensions. In the future, I would not NOT go here but I would go back to Taylor. Sorry this was an honest review and Mimi is sweet but I don't think her abilities and patience are quite to up to par as Taylor and that's why in all these reviews, everyone is talking about Taylor. read more

Ok so I kind of consider myself a lash pro (in that I'm a pro in getting them lol) and know what I want down to the length, curl, and map. I took a break from lashes and decided to try a new place in town. Taylor is amazing. She followed my map from previous work I had done, and got it right on the first try. She's fast BUT meticulous and was able to work with my schedule to get me in the day before engagement pics. Then a week later (yesterday) she was able to fit a 45 min mini fill before my birthday to get them a little bit fuller. The photo of me looking down is after the mini fill. It's technically only been a week since my first set, so I'll update after a few more sessions to get a sense of my retention (super important) and how they hold up with my natural lash cycle. So far I haven't lost any fans that I know of, and aside from my shoot, I don't typically wear daily makeup or use oil products. I brush everyday and use an oil free cleanser. After your first set, they should be able to tell you if you can be a 2 week girl or a 3 week girl depending on where you are in your natural lash growth cycle (important to know, and not just a tactic to get you in more frequently). Pro tip: book 2-3 sessions in advance at the end of each appt so you don't forget and scramble later to try to get in. These two gorgeous sisters are badass WOC small business owners with a really cute salon, and I'm excited to come back and make this a regular routine. read more

I love this place so much! The atmosphere is really calm and quiet. I have gotten my eyebrows done by Taylor both for a tint and also ombré brow + a touch up about 2 weeks ago (they held up amazing for a year we just went a little darker). I have been so impressed with the amount of precision and care Taylor has put in to the service she is providing me. I've never felt as if she was rushing. if I didn't know the business, I would think she only had me as a client that day just because of how much time she put into her work. I've been getting my lashes done from Taylor for the past two years +. I went to Taylor since she worked for somewhere elseto the business she runs now! It's very inspiring and motivating to see how self driven and passionate she is about her art and creation! Her work is amazing, she works well with different eye shapes and makes sure that the style, fluff, length of the lashes compliments my eyes and face which I love because most lash stylist does the same style on every eyes. I have been seeing Taylor for over 6 months for lash fills and I will never go anywhere else! I've had lash extensions for almost two years and was so thankful to find The Sisters Beauty Bar through a friend last summer. My lashes have NEVER looked better. I do the volume fill every two weeks (B curl, 16 length) and they are incredible. Taylor is meticulous and incredibly focused on getting your lashes to look how you want them to. She gives honest advice about what looks best and what is realistic for your extensions, given your natural lash characteristics. I have sensitive eyes and she rinses the eyelid with water after my application, which is SO helpful. No other place I'd been too even offered that. It cuts down the redness and puffiness to only a day. If you want to chat, she is so easy to talk to, but if you prefer to snooze or stay quiet, it's very comfortable as well. I book my next appointments before I leave and appreciate the text reminders. It's easy to reschedule via text as well. Taylor has also done brow waxing and brow tinting for me -she's even more particular and precise with brows! (She loves doing them. Let her help you!) I love the location right on Alki. Be prepared to hear the patron next to you snoring or napping also. During summer it's hard to find parking so plan accordingly. I trust her with my lashes which I think is the most important thing when looking for someone to do your lashes. I have been to other lash bars and they do not come close to the experience that you get from Sisters Beauty Bar. They are so gentle that I almost thought they weren't doing anything. My lashes last sooooo much longer than when I used to go to others. I get my lashes done every 2 weeks but with Sisters Beauty Bar I could get away with going every month....but I won't because I love them so much I don't want to skip on seeing them every two weeks. When I first started going to The Sisters Bar, a couple months ago I really liked my lash extensions. As I continued to go, 4 appointments, I started to realize I was getting fewer lashes, and the ones I did get were falling out rapidly between 2-week fills. Today I went to my final appointment. I have large gaps between lashes and I look as if I am due for a fill! They do not change the blanket on the table and they use the same hand towel to lay your head on for multiple customers (possibly the same one all day). During every appointment the tape has been roughly stripped off of my eyelids without warning, I have been jabbed in the eyes, cheeks, and nose with tools numerous times, and did I mention no parking? I absolutely Do Not recommend The Sisters Bar. read more

They have lots of different options and walk you through it all! My first lash experience was very traumatizing so finding them was a relief. Very small but cute space they have to work in. The work done went smoothly. Twice she tried to overcharge - as they are very strict on time between visits and associated costs. Both times I was correct - but it was very uncomfortable and without apology. Communication was difficult with Mimi and I would default to just letting her do what she felt was best. I made appointments twice and twice I received a Cancellation Text. No explanation, No phone call explaining why I just reserved online but then was told - Cancelled. The second time I called a person picked up and basically said sorry, those spots are taken. I found a new place after two visits that does the same quality work, communication is easy and fun, fees are amazingly refreshingly fair comparatively. I've been getting lash extensions for a very long time and I'll say that Mimi is the best. My lashes are full and curly and they last for a long time especially considering I exercise for a living and am constantly sweating. The place is cute and Mimi and Taylor do their best to make sure that clients are happy and taken care of. Sometimes they run a few minutes late but I know that it's because they are taking extra care to make sure that everyone leaves with a full eye of lashes and a smile. I went to Mimi 3 times for my lashes. I will say she does do a very good job. However during every appointment I had with her she would stop and text several times on her phone for several minutes. I understand everyone has to take a call at some point, but this was constant and I'm paying you for a service?. Not only was it rude and unprofessional but a health hazardous. Your phone is full of bacteria and if your not washing your hands in between each use you are at risk of transmitting bacteria into someone's eyes. I did send her a private message regarding being on her phone during my appointment, the hazards etc. I received no response. I was told to book and appointment with Taylor instead. I booked with Taylor and My appointment was cancelled 10 mins after I booked with her. Enough said. read more

I went to 3 different lash places in Seattle before finding and sticking with Taylor. I was beyond happy with our first appointment and have been with her ever since (about a year and a half now!). I'm totally addicted to my lashes, and there's no one else I trust in the area to do them. In fact, I drive about 35 minutes to get my lashes done because she's that good. She consistently does my lashes exactly how I like them. I get my eyelashes done by Taylor, and have been going to her for almost a year now. Let me tell you, I've had my lashes done by 3 other extension specialists and absolutely no one can beat her work; I will never stray. The first time I went she immediately noticed that my lashes that were filled previously were not full, voluminous, or had enough curl. I got up and looked in the mirror and couldn't believe how much better my lashes looked! I decided from then on I wouldn't go to anyone else. Not only did I notice the difference, everyone I knew commented on how beautiful and full my lashes were.
