I've recently moved to the Seattle area and have been looking for a new stylist. Although I've had a couple haircuts since I've moved, I didn't feel the stylists were a good fit. After checking a few reviews I booked an appointment at Beehive in West Seattle. My friends! Do yourself a favor and schedule your next appointment here. Cierra is amazing! Super professional, kind and makes you feel comfortable. Cute Aveda salon. Moving is hard but finding a great stylist in my neighborhood has been such a relief. read more

Beehive Salon is also an Aveda salon, so their products are all-natural, and not animal tested. It always smells so good in there! I love this place. It's always clean, well lit, and playing great music. The staff is always smiling and offering you some of their wonderful, addictive tea. Seriously, it's like crack. It's minty and warm and delicious. But the tea is just a perk as the work they do is really phenomenal. I see Kelly every 4-7 weeks and she does an amazing job on my hair. I've been going to her for over a year now and have complete trust in her recommendations. read more

Really attentive and communicative hairdresser. Chill atmosphere. Great prices and friendly service, will go back.

I just moved to Seattle was a bit anxious in finding a new stylist. After a lot of reseach, I booked an appt at Beehive Salon. Clarize took the time before and during my appointment to really see what I wanted. She asked thorough questions and made sure we were on the same page, walking me through the process, which I appreciated. She so wonderful and I enjoyed getting to know her. The time honestly flew! I loved the final results and can't remember the last time I was this excited about my hair! Thanks Clarize! read more

Beehive Salon West Seattle - Balayage by Clarize! So happy! - Skin Care Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I've gone to this salon for about two years and until recently had good experiences. However, their frequent last minute cancellations due to untrained stylists has gotten bad. The place has bad energy and the stylists can't seem to be bothered to have friendly basic customer service skills, either - even for Seattle standards! I would avoid. There are other Aveda salons in Seattle! read more

This is an amazing salon! Very experienced stylists and aesthetician's. I was able to achieve my hair goals with Amy as my stylist for a balayage! She was very kind and thorough in her work! Reasonable prices as well! read more

Definitely will be back. The stylists here are fun, nice, and really know how to work with all types of hair. They are equally great with cuts and color which is hard to find at one salon! read more

Izzy is an amazing artist as well as wonderful to talk to! She gave my hair such a beautiful, rich color with unbelievable highlights! She also cut my hair to absolute perfection-I am so happy with it! I am so happy I have found such a wonderful stylist and salon--it has been a year since I have had my hair colored or cut and I am beyond stunned! Thank you again, Izzy! read more

I usually get my hair cut twice a year and just walking in the door makes me feel pampered. They ask if I would like tea or coffee (the tea is amazing) and are super kind. Kassy is super great but they are all excellent. One thing I really dislike about hair salons is when they push their product and make me feel uncomfortable about not buying anything. Beehive doesn't do this at all and they give me great styling tips without saying "...and our XX cream really helps with that available at checkout". Love them, highly recommend! read more

Jill is an eyebrow artist! My visits to Beehive are a triple threat 1) eyebrow tint 2) eyebrow wax 3) hanging out with Jill Also, the front desk staff are always so nice and helpful and just pretty wonderful. read more

Brought my 9 yr old daughter in for a haircut. Meg did an amazing job, and was so kind. Great salon and stylists! The vibe is so cool and most importantly everyone had smiles on their faces and seemed happy to be there. Excited for my upcoming hair appointment! Thanks for making my girl feel great! read more

First time here and will continue to get my hair foiled and cut by Lisa! She is an amazing human being and very skilled at her job/career.

I recently had a cut and color done be Lisa. I loved, loved, loved how Lisa cut my hair. She is friendly and very competent. My one criticism is not with Lisa but the cost of the services. I found it very expensive... $220. Yikes. I probably would not have had my hair done at that place had I known. Of course, I should have asked. If you don't mind the cost, I highly recommend Lisa Camus. read more

Love the salon and decor! And love my hair even more! Wendy nail the red tone and front highlights!! My hair felt amazing too, I definitely will be coming back. read more

first off the salon is ultra cute and parking is easy to find! Clarize is AMAZING! you never leave her without feeling like your hair is anything less than perfect. she communicates with you the entire time to make sure every strand is cut/colored how you like. she asks you throughout the service what you think so there's never an awkward moment when you feel bad for speaking up. (we've all been there lol!) but attention to detail, contouring color to your face, cutting for your face shape, everything is just fantastic. THANK YOU CLARIZE! read more

Beehive Salon West Seattle - theeee best - Skin Care Near Me - Seattle, Washington

After moving to West Seattle, I decided to switch salons. When I called, I asked for a stylist who could color and one who could cut short hair. One was recommended, and I booked an appointment. Once there, the stylist took 15 minutes to discuss what I wanted, and she also made some very helpful suggestions. I was completely comfortable with the stylist and her level of knowledge. I am so pleased with the result. The color is awesome, and the cut is perfect--not an easy feat for short hair. I highly recommend this salon. read more

Another wonderful experience here with Jill. I tried waxing this time and was so happy to see purple colored wax, I guess it's lavender wax. Arms waxing includes hand which is so hard to find in Seattle. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Clarize. I went in with only a general idea of what I wanted, but she was able to ask all the right questions and she created a fabulous result. She steered me away from a foil and instead encouraged me to do a balayage, knowing I wanted a natural, lower-maintenance color. It turned out absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier! read more

Beehive Salon West Seattle - Incredible balayage by Clarize. I couldn't be happier! - Skin Care Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Recently I had a partial foil service done at Beehive West Seattle. Unfortunately, the front portion of my hair turned out brassy, the foils were too streaky for my liking and the foil looked like it had about a month's worth of grow out right off the bat. The hairstylist said that I could call to come back if I didn't like the color. Well, I did call back and was not able to get in to be seen for another two weeks. I went in last night to have it corrected. After toning my hair, the stylist was surprised at the color that came out which was pumpkin orange. She again tried to correct the orange. After her attempt at correcting the orange, I asked if she'd like to help her other customer and then come back to finish my hair (dry and style my hair). She asked if I would just be okay to go home with wet hair. Yes, wet hair. I was shocked. Not only did she not fix what she had previously done, after over two hours there, I left with the front and only the front of my hair a bizarre yellow/orange and then she sent me home with WET HAIR! She did give me some samples for my trouble, apologized and did offer to have me come back if I didn't like my color. I almost wanted to laugh. I will never step foot in that salon again. Guess that's why people go to Gene Juarez. I never should have ventured away from there. read more

I got a haircut by Shelley and had a great experience! She spent about an hour and a half on my haircut and gave a great scalp massage while she was washing my hair. I'd definitely recommend! read more

I've visited this salon before when I lived in West Seattle and had the best haircut as well as waxing services. The most recent experience was just very confusing and awkward. I made an appointment online and that was probably my first mistake. I should have waited until Clarize was available, because she cut my hair last time and did an amazing job. I got my hair done by Kelly and although showing her a photo of the style that I wanted she gave me a short bob. Now in fairness she asked numerous times that it was going to be a short cut from the long hair that I had and I am not worried that it won't grow into the cut I want. However, it just seems like two different experiences. I guess the next day when you actually need to style it yourself you realize how different the haircut really is. The first time I asked for this haircut by Clarize she set me up with all the tools and supplies to create the look at home, which was a great experience and I left not feeling bad about purchasing all the products. This time Kelly didn't seem very interested in doing the cut, I even asked if she could style it after and she told me that it was an additional cost which I didn't mind but the way she asked me was off-putting. I ended up needing to leave so she didn't need to take the additional time to do my hair(she seemed relieved). Lesson learned - my hair will grow but I wish it was a better customer experience and that my haircut looked like the photo. I will say that this was the first time that happened to me at this salon so the two star rating is purely for this one-off visit. read more

I had an appointment with Lisa, who cancelled the appointment one hour before the scheduled time of the appointment. I had my hair cut by Anna. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted and we discussed the cut in depth. When she was finished cutting my hair I had a completely different cut. My hair was 4 inches shorter then the picture and not even close to the same style! I'm completely baffled as to why Anna cut my hair in the style I now have ??? Every time I look at my self in the mirror I feel like crying !!!! Beware .......... Lauren read more

Shelly was a life saver. Went in for haircut only I had colored my hair the night before went bad. She fixed my hair color which she didn't have to do. Got a very good haircut. Hair color looks great. Very very nice person read more

This place has excellent customer service. I booked an appointment online specifying I'd like an experienced hairstylist who can handle thick hair; I ended up with Kelly. Maybe it was the fact that her puppy kept her up all night, but her passive demeanor went about telling me that I couldn't have hair like Selena Gomez because she has mostly hair extensions and that she could give me a shaved head for Halloween. I wrote it off as sarcasm. When I did tell her what I wanted, side swept bangs, layers and thinned out hair, she seemed to know what she was doing. After an hour of messing with my hair, I received choppy flat bangs, no layers, and an uneven attempt at thinning my hair. I asked her if she liked the cut afterward, she told me of course, it's a low-maintenance haircut. I may have looked it at the appointment, but I am not a low maintenance girl. Do not get your hair cut from Kelly. The only nice thing about Beehive is their excellent customer service. I called to leave a review after getting home and realizing how awful my hair looked. They offered a return of payment on services. Needless to say I will not be going back. read more

Definitely a good time with Clarize. She took me from a blotchy orange ombré/balyage to a nice subtle fall color. She works with what you want without damaging your hair, very efficient in time and does an amazing job with a slight massage and shampoo. I love talking to her cause she's very easy going and is very understandable. All in all she's amazing and does wonders! I left with refreshing hair and a new look. read more

This place is a great fit for me. I was happy to find a colorist who really understood how to blend colors and match. They were very professional, and the atmosphere was spa-like and relaxing. I will go back again and again. Very convenient location too. read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. Go see Kassy! She only works Fri&Sat but is so worth it. All the ladies here are very friendly and give you so much attention. Kassy sits with you at the beginning of the appointment and asks what you are thinking for hair and actually listens! I love the way she cuts and how I feel every single time I leave there. I would drive hours to see her! read more

I've been in the market for a new salon in West Seattle after my favorite stylists abandoned me for Southern California, this salon did not disappoint! As per Yelp reviews (shout out to Yelp) I schedule my appointment online and left detailed notes about my haircut expectations. Beehive got back to me immediately confirming my appointment with Lisa, who was amazing! She was so informative, friendly and helped me develop a "hair plan" for growing out my pixie which, let's be honest, is a real pain. The cut was fast, easy and she explained the products she as using and even asked if I wanted to use them rather then just dumping them on my hair. I even got the new client $20 off deal! Most importantly, my haircut is cute and exactly what I wanted! Definitely excited about future appointments with this salon! read more

My first experience at beehive Salon and I was impressed with Lisa C's work! I came in looking for a haircut but she was able to accommodate a color/foil for me last minute. I feel as though she had great suggestions and great knowledge behind the aveda product line. Great convo, not to mention beautiful results! I love my cut and color. Thanks Lisa C. read more

This salon was a marvelous experience!! It was my first time there and I enjoyed it so much that I will go back and recommend others to go there as well! Great design and set up! Friendly service! Gave me exactly what I wanted! Shelley and Jill were wonderful! Shelley did my hair and Jill is the esthetician that came over and introduced herself and gave me a hand massage! What a treat! Keep up the lovely service and thank you! :) read more

Hands down, Jill gives the BEST facial massage I have ever had in my life! Usually during a facial I ask the technician to skip the facial massage because I generally don't enjoy them and they give me a headache, but once Jill started rubbing my face, I melted. Pure heaven! She is professional and knowledgeable about the products, I would highly recommend her! read more

My first issue with this salon after going to them for service three times is they couldn't even put my name correctly in the system. It was a completely different last name. This made it impossible to find my information. I paid $180 for a full highlight and was sent home with my hair half way dry. After spending that much money, time to style it or even fully dry it is expected. I requested a small trim due to growing out my hair during this same visit. The stylist cut 2 inches higher on one side from the other. From the back people comment how uneven my hair cut is daily. Stay away from this salon. Over priced and under qualified staff! read more

I have been here several times and it just keeps getting better. I cannot remember who first cut my hair, but she did an okay job. It wasn't bad but it was anything special. Then I came in for a bang trim and I got Clarize and I could tell even from the bang trim that she knew what I like so I have been with her since! She is one of the first stylists I have had who can understand what I want and actually make it happen. I finally have the cut I want after so many years of being disappointed! She's always been open to me offering my opinion to make sure I love the cut & coming back to make small changes as well. I love this salon and I find that it is very reasonably priced and I highly recommend Clarize! She does a great job and is just always awesome to talk to! read more
