I might be a little premature writing this review since I just got my full set applied a couple hours ago, but this is not my first rodeo. I started getting lash extensions in the spring of 2012 and maintained them until the same time in 2019, I just wanted a break (it did feel good that first eye rub after getting them removed haha). I was loyal to Rose at Myano downtown Seattle the entire time and because of that I expect high quality. Little did I know there are a lot of options these days, even when being super particular and wanting to go to a place within walking distance. I read lots of reviews and considering the location started with Lashes by Minh. From the moment Minh responded to my text (within 3 hours) I knew that I was going to be in good hands. She asked all the expected questions to ensure she knew what I was looking for, unfortunately that is not a given these days. While she was not able to accommodate my initial request for an appointment she quickly offered me some options. I was still looking around to see if I could find a place that would get me in on the weekend but felt pulled towards taking her up on her offer. Today I saw Leo, her assistant. There is not really any signage but upon arrival I called to make sure I was in the right place and he let me in. Took off my shoes and he brought be back to the room where there was another artist waiting for her client. Simple and basic set up, groovy jams and I got a relaxing rest for 2 hours. Leo was gentle yet clearly intent on perfect placement. Finished right on time. Reviews speak highly of Minh and it seems she ensures that those who work with her deliver the same. So I am going to start off with an earned 5 star review and come back in a couple months if needed to modify. Before I rave about her work, just FYI that she is cash only or Venmo! I contacted Minh for a fill as I have a photo shoot coming up. I had gotten my lashes done at another place and a lot have fallen off. Some background on my lashes - I have thin Asian lashes, and they're not that long. She said that the other place I went to used too heavy of volume lashes on me, and that they should have recommended me something else. Minh recommended her classic fill but with lashes that are hollow inside (more lightweight), so that my real eyelashes won't fall off from holding the extension. I think she has many type of lashes, but this is what she recommended for me! It look a little less than an hour to go from having some uneven crazy looking lashes to being nicely filled! Also, when I brush them, none fall off the day after compared to previous lash artists. Pricing is amazing too! I cannot spend 60-80 per 3-4 weeks OR 175+ for full sets on extensions, which is what most other places charge. Minh charges 40+ for her fills ($40 being for classic & $60 for volume), and $80 for classic full sets/$120 for volume full sets. Don't be fooled by the price - her work is amazing! I'm soooo happy I found Minh! I'm not a newbie to lash extension. I usually went for a more natural look but recently wanted to get longer and thicker lashes for more pronounced look. I wasn't able to find anyone who could achieve the look that I wanted due to my thin but long, straight lashes combined with my small asian eyes. Minh to the rescue. She's actually been doing lashes for a while now and built her client-base through word of mouth before and now she's opening her door to new clients. I tried to book an appointment with her before but she was booked for a month in advance at the time. Tried the second time and happy I finally could get in! She's so hard working and offers extended service hour and even available on the weekend which is the most ideal for me as I do have difficulty leaving work to go to an appointment frequently during work hours on weekdays. Parking is street but super easy, there's always parking available everytime I come. You ring the doorbell and she'll promptly greet you at the door. The sessions are held in her workspace at her house but it's very clean. The space is a bit snug and shared with her assistant. The bed is so comfortable and Minh provides a heating blanket that feels great against my achy lower back lol. Minh is so professional and wonderful. She has a great bedside manner. I'm not a really talkative person and usually hate small talks but Minh is so personable that I feel super comfortable around her and the conversations feel genuine and unpretentious. She's very talented, her extension lasts a long time. During my first appointment, she studied carefully of my natural lashes and learned about my history and made recommendation but remains open to listening to what I want. I do request fora little longer length than her recommendation and she makes sure I understand how it will work with my thin natural lashes. She cares about her clients' lashes, always keeps track on the overall health and growth of the natural lashes too. She recommends me to start using lash serum to help my natural lashes grow stronger. She's not selling products so you know it's not a marketing gimmick or some kind. She gave me a lot of tips on how to take care of my natural lashes and my extension, some of them were new pointers that really impressed me. On top of it all, she also keeps her prices low and affordable. I do wish that there's an online scheduling option for returning clients. But it's nothing major since scheduling is easy and convenient through text messages. She gets back to your message promptly during her downtime, and after your appointment, she usually knows your preference day and time for the next fills and is already well-prepared to propose that time to you. I've had extensions for a long time. But Minh's work truly shows. I've been getting compliments from everyone since I started going to Minh. I am a very lazy, but busy woman. I've been getting my eyelashes done for about 4 years now, (I've been seeing Mihn for a little over a year now) and I don't know if I can ever go back to my non-existant eyelash ways. I have short, straight black eyelashes that don't hold a curl very well and aren't very visible even with a couple coats of mascara. I used to mess around with daily glue on eyelashes, but they take too much time and look obviously fake. Getting eyelash extensions has been life changing. When you wake up and feel pretty, you feel more confident and happy and ready to destroy anyone who gets in your way. Before coming to Mihn, I had gotten my lashes done at a few other places in Seattle and in my home town in Eastern Oregon. I hope Mihn doesn't stop doing lashes anytime soon because I seriously might cry if she does, and I'm not a super emotional person. Mihn consistently does a fabulous job. I've been to 4 different lash places now, and nothing can compare to the long lasting and care that Minh give you.
