Last year went to this place, one of my toes was bleeding from the cleaning. The blood spot stayed on my toe for a whole year until it finally grows out. I gave it a pass. I like their pedicures but my last manicure was really disappointing. The person carved ridges into my nail with a sanding tool. Cleaning the cuticle? I'd never seen that done and should have asked about it. These lines are going to be visible until the nail grows out. I have short, unpolished nails. Working hands. The first time I got a manicure it was excellent and the buffing (which I prefer) lasted for weeks! A great shine. Not this time. Barely lasted a few days. This was my first time in! They only had one type of manicure, I was hoping to get a spa manicure. I know sometimes places only have one type, but I don't normally go to those types, so it threw me off. I got a shellac manicure. She really took her time and paid attention to detail! I know we can all appreciate a nail tech like that I got the squoval shape and it looks accurate to me, although I wish I got square, so I'll be getting that next time. I don't get manicures very often. I'm happy with the polish because I love teal, but it did look less green on the fake nail since it's white underneath :( My few complaints that I have is that she did make me bleed a little bit with the file which hurt. They were also talking a lot, and I don't mind a little bit of talking, but I really prefer it to be minimal and listen to the music most of the time for a more relaxing experience. I probably won't be back just because I prefer to have more of the luxury spa experience, but on the bright side, she did massage jasmine lavender lotion onto my hands, which made me happy. All in all, I think it was worth the price ($35) and I was satisfied with her work. read more

I dislike writing negative reviews, but this is the review I would have appreciated reading before going here. I'm sure they will continue to have loyal and satisfied customers, and I'm sad I won't be one. My first visit for a basic, regular mani-pedi was great--friendly, welcoming, cheerful vibe, no harsh smells, quality work, good value. On my second visit I wanted a simple, plain French manicure. For some reason, she pushed me to get Tap Nails instead. I'd never had them, but after being reassured it wouldn't damage my nails, I said okay. The tech did one or two nails and accidentally let a glob harden on the next nail. She began clipping off the glob to start over and the tool pierced the middle of my nail. I yelped in pain (and again later as she worked). There was no way I wanted to have anything molded onto that damaged nail, and I no longer trusted the process, so I asked to stop, remove the nail that had been done, and simply clean up the situation with no polish at all. I presumed that they would apologize and not charge me for the botched nail job, but to my surprise she wanted to charge me for a basic manicure. (I still had to evenly trim and care for my weakened, naked nails when I got home) I stated "there is a hole in my nail, I don't think I should have to pay." She protested it was nothing and seemed offended. The manager didn't seem interested in looking at the hole in my nail, even though I offered. Everyone makes mistakes, even pros, and I might have given a different tech another chance had they acknowledged what happened. But to not appear concerned or take responsibility for a nail injury they caused or offer to make things right, is the reason I won't be back. read more

I walked In to have a nail tech remove the hard gel on my nails. Seeing as there were only two techs and zero clients, they were able to take me right away. The energy was weird. The tech not doing my nails kept pointing at me throughout the service while rubbing the shoulders of the tech doing my nails. Energy was very uncomfortable. They didn't speak to me at all. It is now my second time going to this salon, and I'm still fairly happy with the service. My toenails are not all the same shape or length, and the pedicure wasn't really much. Another thing that I found inconsistent (which I mentioned) was the price list on the wall. It is very different from the price I actually paid. Finally, a nail salon in west seattle that does a fantastic dip manicure. I made a same day appointment for 1p on a Saturday and my appointment started on time. I wanted a natural look and after showing a photo of how I wanted my nails, my tech got to work. She was meticulous and took her time, which I appreciated. It took about an hour, so make sure you carve out enough time. The salon itself isn't anything to rave about as it's quite small. The final job was excellent but reason this is a 4 star experience not 5 stars is because it's a bit pricy. My nails came out to $50 which seemed steep.
