It is owned and operated by the incredibly talented artist, Tina. I was able to walk in for a much-needed manicure and pedicure, and from the moment I sat down, I could feel the love and care she puts into her work. Tina is kind, gentle, patient, and truly passionate about what she does. She accepts appointments online or by phone, and if you're lucky, you might even be able to walk in like I did. I have officially found my new nail spot in Seattle! As you relax and get pampered, you're treated to one of the most beautiful views in the city. Looking out over Alki, you can watch the peaceful water, ferries, sailboats, and other boats come and go. It doesn't get much better than that. Going out for a vacay so I decided to get a shellac manicure. After paying $45, what I got was uneven cut of nails, nails that were not filled properly and skin breaking out. I got there early at 11.30 am and no one was there. They asked me if I had an appointment to which I said no. But still they got me in. As the last started the manicure, two other ladies got in and she asked them the same question. These ladies said they called a few mins back for two pedicures. And then it went downhill. The second aestheticisan started doing the pedicure but was constantly looking at the primary aestheticisan to see the progress of my manicure. She would constantly interrupt her and ask her to hurry up on me so she could take care of the other two ladies. Rushing my manicure resulted in this disappointing experience. The primary aestheticisan was massaging my hands after the gel was applied. But the second last came and asked her to stop and go and do the pedicures She just hurried it up and didn't care about the experience. While paying she kept insisting that I pay cash. I asked her if she takes card or venmo (a venmo QR code is displayed on the walls). She said venmo is ok but again insisted on cash and when I was looking in my purse, she was looking inside. I paid 40 dollars for possibly one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. They barely scrubbed my feet and the polish is even more of a disaster. I would have been better off doing my own pedicure at home. Do not go here-- not worth the cost, at least for a pedicure. read more

I love coming to this place because it's such an intimate little shop. I'm not someone who indulges in self care very much, but as a new intention to myself, I am giving myself permission to get my pedi done every month. Thuy, the owner is so sweet and welcoming all the time. Their happy hour prices are amazing deals, but make sure to ask if they have happy hour. During busy season and holidays, they don't offer it (and they don't have it Fridays anymore either). Thuy is so incredibly meticulous and detail-oriented. I don't think i've ever had someone so detailed with my nails before. I've also had Anna do my manicure when Thuy was sick. She is just as detail oriented and i LOVE her strong massages. She was so patient even when I requested for something and it ended up messing up the nail and she had to start all over. Thanks Anna! She also let me hang out in the shop for an hour while my nails dried because I had to hop on a conference call. Not once did she rush me out :) I appreciate it so much! The window says walk ins welcome, but I recommend calling to make a reservation. It's a small shop and during winter, usually only one of them is in the shop at a time. Parking can be a bit gnarly during lunch, so I park before I reach Marination (by the dentist). It's about 1.5 blocks away. read more

I had my first ever manicure at Angel Nails. The only experience I'd ever had with a nail shop was the one time I got gel nails when I was younger. It wasn't a great experience, and they ruined my nails so I was a little nervous going in. The ladies were sweet, accommodating and efficient! Even as it started to get busier and they had to swap between customers, neither my friend nor I felt rushed or neglected. We got the deluxe package and the paraffin felt oh so good. They put the warm wax into a bag that's then tied around your hands. It's a great way to do it, and to keep everything hygienic. The only concern I had was the polish in the end. I had wanted an ombré but they couldn't find the tool. I'd said to just do a solid but they were insistent on providing me what I had asked for. I can't fault them for that - and part of the blame was probably on me since I'm not sure I mentioned that's what I wanted at the beginning (before they got slamming busy). However, the end result was sloppy and I ended up removing the polish and painting my nails myself when I got home. Regardless of that, my hands felt like heaven and my friend's paint came out amazing so I still rate these ladies 5 stars because the staff, their knowledge and the location make it well worth the trek. read more

I walked in yesterday at about ten past three and Thuy was able to fit me in for a manicure (well needed after a season of bitting my nails - I was so happy that they were finally long enough for a manicure). Thuy did an awesome job and gave me a fantastic hand massage. She took her time prepping my nails and did an awesome job applying colour (I just got a simple manicure with "Not Really a Waitress" polish). She had me sit with my hands under the UV lamp for two cycles, then applied some drops, had me sit for another cycle and finally sprayed my nails and allowed me to leave - they were completely dry (I usually mess up a nail or two putting my seatbelt on, but not this time). The shop is small, with only two nail stations, two pedicure tubs/massaging chairs and a small seating area (maybe seats three) but Thuy and her other employee are fantastic with customers. They have a great selection of services at highly affordable prices (I think it was $35 for a mani/pedi - miles away from the prices you'd pay at other salons or in big cities such as D.C.). read more

I called a little before 2:00 on a Friday afternoon and there was a 2:30 available. I killed a little too much time because I forgot how bad parking is around this area on a sunny day in the summer, but I eventually found some curb space less than a block away and was only a couple minutes late. The two women working were both understanding and I never felt rushed because I was late or because I was a last minute booking. Thau provided my mani/pedi service. She was very friendly and nice. She took great care in everything she did and was so meticulous. No little, painful close cuts or overly aggressive exfoliation. Due to the close quarters I also got to hear Thuy with her customer and she also took great care and was very knowledgable about nail health and care. My mani/pedi isn't even a day old yet so I can't speak to endurance of the polish work, but I can say it looks beautiful! It was a very pleasant experience start to finish and from my personal experience with Thau and what I observed with Thuy, their customers is the center of their attention not just something going on while they have their own conversations with one another unlike other locations I've been to around West Seatlle. Great treatment, great customer service, great value for the level of service and care, parking can be challenging depending on the day of week, time and weather - no surprise, of course, after all, the location is on Alki. read more
