I went yesterday for a manicure and pedicure, like always they did a wonderful job. I didn't have an appointment and most of the time they're able to fit me right in. They're able to be flexible by allowing additional services while you are there. They provide amazing brow waxes. Not sure if many know about their brow services when they go in for nails! Brow specialist in West Seattle typically charge high fees. This place offers affordable and quality brow waxes that look great. I have sensitive skin so I do say no lotions or anything on the brows after the waxing. I've been getting my brows done here for years now. Prior to this place, I went to a hair salon that would charge three times as much for my brows and it wouldn't look too good. Every time I get my nails done I try a new place and this one did not disappoint. I came here for some acrylics and left impressed. Overall good place, nice and skilled staff. My nails turned out pretty good. The shape of the nail turned out good, my only complaint is that they aren't all symmetrical with the other hand. Otherwise I would come here again. I decided to give this place a try because I live close by and have been looking for a new salon. When I walked in, the place was packed, but they were able to get me in for a gel manicure within 15 minutes. It is a bit hot in there, as though the don't have AC, so be forewarned especially on a hot day when the place is busy. First, they have a HUGE selection of gel polish colors; I've actually never seen such a big selection and I've been to hundreds of salons in various states. The woman who did my nails appeared to take her time. I like how my nails look, but I did notice polish on the skin of several of my fingers that she just left on. The massage was super sort, lasting maybe 8 seconds on each hand; to stay that it was a massage may be a stretch. The prices aren't the highest or the lowest in the area, but the middle of the road. It was $27 for a gel manicure. What I didn't like and what will cause me to not return is that once my manicure was over, the woman put all of the utensils that she just used on me back into her desk drawer, i.e. she uses them on multiple customers WITHOUT sanitizing them. I'm a stickler for cleanliness because I don't want nail fungus, warts, infections, etc., so this was a red flag. I then reflected on where she pulled out the utensils when she started, and it was from her drawer, so, again, no cleaning of utensils. read more

The women who did my nails is really nice BUT this is the first time I have gotten my nails done and they keep falling off. (Acrylics ) First was 3 days after I got them done. They fixed it, no cost. That night another one was coming off. I went and they glued it. I go on vacation and I had 2 almost off. I had to buy super glue to keep them on. Then two fell off. This is less than 2 weeks. I'm on my honeymoon so I ended up just taking the rest off. They came off easy. Might as well had press on nails and not spent as much as I did. I would NOT recommend for acrylics. Called today to ask about a pedicure, as my regular spot is closed on Sundays. The lady on the phone said to come now, and when I arrived 15 minutes later I was seated right away in a chair. The woman who did my nails was efficient, friendly, and attentive to my comfort and preferences. No pressure to upgrade the pedicure but there were signs on the wall about that option. It's a relatively small place (4 pedicure chairs) so I'll probably call again in the future to make sure they have availability, as I imagine it might get backed up at peak hours. Only downside was that the credit card receipt wouldn't let me add a tip- I'll bring cash for that next time. read more

I really hope that the day I came in just happened to be a bad day for my manicurist, and that this is not normal, but either way, I had the worst experience with a manicure I've ever had. :/ When I walked in everything seemed fine, they greeted me and said I could pick my color and sit down, so I did. Right away my artist stuck my fingers in a dish of soapy water and got her cuticle tools out. In my experience with manicures, they always trim your nails before starting your cuticles, but she hadn't even asked. I waited a while longer just in case she was going to, but she didn't. So before it got too late and she started putting color on, I asked if we could maybe trim them to be shorter. She was very irritated at this idea, which surprised me because I feel like it's normal to ask that your nails be made a little shorter as part of the manicure. From that point on, the whole appointment sucked. She didn't ask how short I wanted or what shape, so I just decided to leave that up to her and not further irritate her. But she only did one singular clip per nail, and didn't look at the nails to make sure they were even. I ended up with some super-short nails, some longer nails, and multiple nails cut diagonally instead of straight. She essentially attacked my cuticles with the clippers, stabbing and ripping them with strong force. She drew blood on two fingers doing this, and didn't even bother to clean it up. Her color job was super messy, leaving little blotches of color along the sides of my nails and even on the skin of over half of my fingertips. Also, I got this manicure only a few days ago, and the Shellac has already started peeling off. I was so excited to find a salon so close to my house, but there's zero chance I will ever come back. read more

They didn't know how to do a "fade" design (ombré) so I couldn't give 5 stars, but overall this place gets the job done. The prices were pretty average for shellac ($27 for basic) but spa pedicures were a bit higher than I'm used to ($27). $5 more for callous treatment. read more

So the decor and stuff in here is not great. It's a pretty dingy salon. But the prices are good and they do an awesome job. So don't go here for a spa experience; go because your last mani/pedi is chipping badly and you want to get a quick new one. Ok so the first time I we there to get a manicure, it was REALLY good. They gave me a deluxe manicure that included a hot stone massage and everything for $25. Totally worth it to me. I recently just went again for a mani pedi and they honestly did a great job. I got a gel mani and I can tell that it's done really well and it'll last long. Downsides: they didn't massage really at all, which always bugs me, that's part of the package! And this is pretty bad: so they used tools on my toes and then passed them off to another person to do someone else. Without cleaning. Which is a huge no no, especially in front of the customer!! Luckily I haven't had any kind of infection, but if you're prone to getting them easily, I wouldn't go here. I give three stars because the mani/pedi was done really well and the women are sweet. I'm very happy with the service I got today! Yes, this place is small and is no frills but the shape I got and application of the shellac will keep me coming back. They also have tons of beautiful shellac colors to choose from but it would be nice if they had more dip colors. What I really appreciated was that the nail tech gave me all of her attention. I had to go here for New Years because I needed to go was booked out for the day. The lady that did my nails was nice but she applied the acrylic by applying a base then dipping my nails in powder instead of directly apply it on the nail. I questioned her about it but reassured me that it's strong and will hold the nail for longer. But sure enough, New Year's Eve and one nail fell, I went back the next day and the lady that did it, applied it the same way and this time the nail didn't match the rest of the shapes. Two days after two nails fell, I wasn't doing anything at the time to cause it to fall. But I honestly didn't want to go back because the last time I went the lady was doing it quickly getting to get me out of the way. So I wasn't pleased with the service at all. Keep in mind I paid $60 dollars plus $10 tip for the nails. This was beyond upsetting to start the new year with nails already falling off on the first week. If you want quality nails don't go here, there's a better place in west Seattle that I went to that had my nails looking perfect for three weeks. I'm now sure they were applying base coat instead of mixing it properly with the powder because it's cheeper for them but what I don't understand is why overcharge people for such low quality work and service! read more

I went in with my sister for mani/pedis. The ladies were nice, but the one working on me made a lot of mistakes. Before putting on my nail polish for the second time, the manicurist took a squirt bottle of clear liquid and squirted a bunch in the nail polish, shook it around, and then started painting my nails. I thought it was odd, but she didn't speak good English, so I thought I'd ask my sis later. Well, I forgot, until a week later, and my polish is more chipped than usual. Not only is every nail chipped beyond a touch up, but they are breaking. I have rock-hard nails. The kind that takes effort to bend, and this week, I'm just finding them with chunks falling off. I asked my sis about what I saw, and she said that cheap nail salons will put nail polish remover in their polish to make it last longer. She also said that explains why after only 1 week, she needs to redo her nails as well. So I don't recommend this place for nails, unless you don't mind spending $40 to look good for a few days. read more
