This last visit was my final straw. My visit was for a pedi and full set acrylic (my usual). Everything was great at first but what really ticked me off was when the female nail tech moved me to the regular desk and chair for hands, the man that had just finished my pedi followed and wanted me to pay for my services before I was even finished??? Was he concerned I was not going to pay?? He openly discussed wanting to charge me $115 for my services and the woman said "no, 105 she's okay." They we're literally making up their own prices right in my face and I thought the man would have charged me the $105 as the woman told him. I'm still in the middle of service but I'm not confrontational so I gave him my card for payment and I assumed it was $105. He then proceeded to ask me for a tip (I did like my pedi and how my set was looking so I added a $15 tip). Turns out the man charged me $115 and I ended up pay $130 total. He laughed and then proudly showed the woman doing my hands the little pay device that he deceived me. She shook her head and said nothing. I guess she was embarrassed on my behalf. This is not my first time being overcharged. I've been having Vanessa do my sets for my visits since she is amazing at what she does but for a fill on a previous set and a pedi, the salon charged me $110. These past two visits and the huge discrepancies in prices are insane. I would have got a new set if that is what they were going to charge me for. Unfortunately I won't be returning unless this salon's management gets their shit together and provides honest and transparent prices. Ripping off your customers isn't cute and it's going to cost you regulars and new comers. read more

Maybe if I wanted to spend a lot of money having gels or fake nails applied, my business would have been more appreciated. But I just needed a regular manicure, and my technician could not have been less interested. First he cleared his station by shaking off dead skin and nails from the last customer onto the floor, then flipping the towel upside down. Ew. Then he turned my fingers white with nail polish remover. Then he put some water in a bowl with nothing else. No cuticle softener, nothing. Just soaked in water. He spent about 4 seconds per nail pushing the cuticles back. A little more effort in cutting the cuticles. 3 seconds per nail to file. 02 oz of moisturizer and a 15 second hand massage. Luxe nails? Just like the majority of the reviews, STAY AWAY!! They destroyed my nails and the skin surrounding them. I had photos of what I wanted and was told after the fact that all their powders contain glitter....if the photo doesn't have glitter don't tell me you can replicate the look. I also had acrylic over my natural nails, but he drilled them down to nothing and the right corners have collapsed on everything nail. my thumbs did need tips but they are so large they are digging into my skin. I also asked for my cuticles to be cleaned, he used a drill, and also brought the acrylic OVER my cuticles, now there's a lip. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE Honestly I never write reviews but visiting this nail salon was an absolute nightmare. I went to get a full set and i didn't like the way my nail shape looked considering the fact the guy doing my nails did not even look while he was shaping them he was too busy watching videos with his co worker. I sadly have to update my review. I've been coming here for years and these last couple of times I went weren't up to par. This is why I'm never coming back... I wish I knew her name but my nail tech needed tons of more training. It took her 2hrs to do a full set gel manicure. She cut me 2 times and I had to correct her multiple times about how crooked my nails were and uneven. My pinky finger is completely crooked and I kept telling her over and over. I added jewels to two fingers and she had no idea how to help me with the design and it looks quite atrocious. Before she put them on she decided to cover my whole nail with the jewel glue. Mind me I've never seen that. As she got the jewels on my two nails were no where near dried and when I touched them they made a imprint and were sticky. So after sitting there annoyed for 2 long hours I had to get her back to fix them. This place is busy but the quality is slacking majorly. read more

Came in as a first time customer about a month ago, the man who was doing my nails seemed like he was in a rush and finished my full set super quick. they looked okay at first, but then they popped off one by one within a week. Decided to come back and give them a second chance and it was even worse. The lady couldn't (or didn't want to) do a basic french tip, cut me on 3 different fingers, and again, they are coming off within less than 2 weeks. And now my natural nails are green. Disgusting. Please read the one stars. I visited this place after moving near by. It was so pretty walking in and I even notice more than a couple men inside getting serviced and feeling comfortable. When I finally got my seat a man came to service me. It was CLEAR to me he was new and maybe not licensed. I have never had a service so painful. He cut multiple times with the electric file. He burned me harshly by filing back and forth on my nails to the point I screamed and snatched my hand back. It BURNED like a MF. At this point I showed him to file in one direction and he took the advice. (Thank god) He was good at colors but that's it. This service took way longer than I am used to for gel. After telling him these were my real nails I took a whole pregnancy to grow. He convinced me to try this "new harder and more expensive" gel. My nails were flying off within 48 hours. one flew off while putting on a sock!! A sock! My nails were so bendy. By day 4, 5 out of 10 nails were ripping in the middle. Extremely painful. I went back to have them fixed and the ladies were irritated with me. The one who fixed rushed through the service which was painful over cracked nails but it was Valentine's/Super Bowl and I had work. So I suffered. I'm writing another review because I came here 2 months ago and got a HORRIBLE pedicure and got a toe infection from it. My toe nail COMPLETELY FELL OFF a few days ago from the toe infection they gave me. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! I was surprisingly impressed by this place. Sometimes, I just don't trust nail places that have all the fancy lighting in the super fancy chairs but they're not always super busy. I walked in around lunchtime on a weekday expecting to wait 30 minutes. However, I got right in sat down started my pedicure and another woman came over and started on my nails. I don't find it comfortable to have my nails done at the same time as having my toes done but they kind of figured out a good way to do this. The chairs are comfortable enough to where they add a pillow underneath your elbows and stay on one side of you while they're working on your nails. It was nice because I was done in an hour and 10 minutes for both feet and hands. I was having my SNS nails removed and putting just gel polish on them and I'm very impressed with how they applied the gel polish to my fingernails. The polish actually goes all the way to the edge on both sides and her attention to detail was on point! read more

Johnathon was AMAZING with my nails went above and beyond and was cracking me up the entire time. Darren did a beautiful flower on a yellow nail and was also a hilarious. Ivy did the rainbow nails for my coworker- which was a difficult job but my co worker left feeling 100% satisfied. LOVE THIS PLACE This place is my favorite in the area, worth every penny! I get the SNS nails every-time and $45 selection for my toes, with paint. The people here are so friendly and welcoming, they really care about doing a good job, and make sure you leave happy. If you're reading all the bad reviews and thinking that folks are exaggerating, we are not! Look at all the pictures and peep the similarities in the stories!!!!! I thought that I'd give them another try and I regret it. I'm really big on clean finishes and techs that are passionate about their artistry. When I tried to explain to buddy that he made my nails bulky, he just told me that I was wrong. I wanted a clean, short overlay. If he didn't use so much liquid, maybe he could have created an even foundation for the whole set. Third strike for me. I forgot to mention that the station that they sat me down at was dirty a f. I asked him to wipe off the table bc I didn't want someone else's nasty nail removal hitting my arm. He told me to just keep my arms on the towel so I had to take the towel and wipe the station myself. Unfortunate experience. I went in for dip and the gentleman that did my nails ignored me over and over and did gel promising they would last longer than dip. I get dip each time each lasting 3-4 weeks and typically don't chip, really it's just my nails growing out. Here we are three days later my nails chipping from gel. I'll be going back in to ask for a correction. When you go here, make sure to make an appointment with ample time because they continuously run 20-30 minutes behind. read more

The worst. I was there a week and a half ago but I forgot to write a review. I'm tired of these nail shops over charging people and doing mediocre jobs. I paid my over priced bill and gave them tip. I don't mind paying high prices for services, and I tip very well, but you better at least try to get the job done right. First off they rushed the service. When women go to the nail salon, they are there to get pampered not hurried and pushed around. The older gentleman that was doing my nails was horrible. He got me three times on my cuticles with the rotary tool that he had set on super high. He was squeezing my fingers like he was pissed to be working. He was leaving huge gaps at the edge where the acrylics met the cuticle. I even showed them to him and he didn't fix them the first two times. He said" it's ok I'll just file down. " Then the third time I let him know they had holes and gaps he tried to fix one after he took a closer look but made it worse and didn't go back to fix the others. Now when I try to run my fingers through my hair, my hair gets caught in between the gap and pulls some out. I've been dealing with that for a week. Even though it was convenient to go there, I won't ever return. Not even to try another tech. I'm looking for good quality work and he did not provide that. Im now taking time from my weekend to take the nails off so I don't have to look at or deal with them anymore. 100% do not recommend going there. Went today for a full set and pedicure and was so excited. Unfortunately I was cut on not only my cuticles but my toes as well. I spent wayyyyy too much money to be cut up like this. I loved the pedicure (aside from getting cut it was actually a really cool jelly pedicure) and would love to go back with friends but I don't think i will since I was cut by two different people not just one. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Worst pedicure I've ever gotten. I actually walked out before the polish and went across the street to get my toes redone. The guy was beyond rude, didn't ask what I wanted, and rushed through everything in 15 mins. My cuticles looked uncut, nails were filed crooked, did two swipes with the buffer, and rubbed lotion on my legs then wiped off with a towel for a "massage". On top- they couldn't get the color that I wanted right so I told them to leave it off. When leaving, they had the audacity to still try to charge me. I came in on 8/21/22 for a fill & polish change on my toes. I requested for a gold color on my toes and nails, The lady who did my feet provided low quality paint; for my fill I was provided with quality gold product. I paid 118$ for a fill and a polish change only to be told I would need to pay more money for a polish change replacement. If this isn't the most money hungry business I've ever been to. Never again. While I complained about the replacement of color, SOMONE else came in complaining about a allergic reaction and was given there money right away. I used to love coming here, but after my last visit I will no longer be a client of Luxe. I like going to one specific person there, because she's the only one who understands what I want there. I like to call ahead and make sure she's working and try to make an appointment with her for the same day. I called on a Tuesday to try and come in that day but they told me not to come in because they were busy and to come another day. So then I called again on Thursday to make an appointment for Friday at 3pm. I came in at 2:45 that Friday and I was there for TWO hours for a FILL. (Usually that service is an hour tops) There was absolutely no point in making an appointment because while she started doing my nails, she was also finishing off two other client's. I understand if your busy, but what was the point in making an appointment? Long story short, if they are busy, don't even bother going in for any kind of service, appointment or not.
