I have never been inside a lululemon before. I had walked passed this location and other locations many times but had never thought to go in prior to this particular day. I actually was walking by the store and saw a coat in the window that looked like something I've been looking for. Ever since moving to socal I barely look into buying jackets or warm down coats just because it hardly ever gets THAT cold here... like ever. But given I still make my way back to San Francisco during the winter, I do need one regardless how warm it is down here. In the window I liked how the coat shaped around the manquin so I decided to walk inside and have a look. Most down jackets look really nice online or on manquins but once you try it on it may be different. Walking in the employees were very welcoming. Asked me right away if there was anything I was looking for in particular or needed help with anything. I said I was just looking and they warmingly told me to just ask if I had any questions. I found the coat inside and put my stuff down to try it on. I love how its light and fits perfectly. Especially the shape. There are some puffer downs that I try on that make me look like a marshmallow. But this coat actually fit me right and gave me a good shape around my body which is exactly the look I was looking for. The quality of the coat looks good.. Very light and warm even though the AC was on. While I was putting it on, another associate had came over and told me she owns one as well. She told me about the coats features and how its super packable for travels to. Then asked me if I was going somewhere cold since it is a down puffer jacket. I told her I head north pretty often so I know its not something I'd wear here but it gets cold up north or in Vegas in the winter. So something light weight and warm is something I'm looking for as well as the shape of the jacket and how it fits on me. After trying on two sizes. I decided I wouldn't think on it and just get it. I've been looking for the perfect jacket for the last few years and im particular on the clothes I buy and how they fit and look on me. Most of the time when I wait on it, I tend to miss out on the things I want so I decided regardless if its 90s outside I'm still going to buy this otherwise i'll regret it later lol. DORA... I believe this is the manager's name. When I was in this location, it all started pleasantly. Until I heard Dora yelling at and berating an employee while there were customers in the store. I heard her mutter the word 'pendeja' under her breath when she came up to the register to complete my transaction. It was the most awkward 5 minutes. If my phone wasn't dead, I would have recorded it and sent it to corporate. This woman showed zero composure. I had purchased a pair of Align leggings at a different LuLu store and had not been warned that they wouldn't hold up to the type of exercise I was doing in them. They were piling and falling apart at the seams. I took them into the Brea store and they didn't even hesitate to exchange them. They got me a few different pairs to try on and didn't give me any hassle! I'm now happy with my new pair of pants and will return to purchase further pants at this location! read more

The employees are so rude and question you to the core. They need better training on being nice to customers. My mom purchased 3 leggings and the girl who was helping us out named DANIELLE (tanned and chubby looking) was a freaking rude and wouldn't stop looking at my mom up and down. Because I'm an Athletic Trainer Lululemon is no doubt one of my favorite athletic clothing departments. I have been an R&D member for over a year. But with one of my recent purchases I was harassed about my body size and comfort by one of their employees, Dora. I wanted to purchase a pant that was bigger than my actual size for lounge wear, but Dora accused me of purchasing the pant for someone else and took away my R&D membership. She was absolutely rude and hostile towards me claiming that I should be purchasing a smaller size. I was absolutely appalled by the customer service she was applying completely opposite of Lululemon's values. Absolutely love the brand but there needs to be change with the way employees are trained in customer service. Upon returning to the store to fix my R&D membership, Jennifer was such a sweet heart giving me the best customer service I've ever had at LuLu, with fixing my membership she even apologized for my previous experience! read more

Was just very harshly told "If you are not trying on any clothes you need to get out of the store!" by an employee named Jennifer. I was waiting for my friend to finish trying on the apparel and I was appalled by Jennifer's approach on trying to get clients out of the store at closing. When I asked what the lady's name was everyone suddenly became much nicer and more accommodating..probably because they didn't want a bad review to reflect them. I was helped by an employee named Andi yesterday and she was amazing. My friend picked me up some things on woman's day (where all women's apparel was 21% off) because I couldn't make it in. Nothing fit, but my friend kept the receipt after she gave me my things. Andi took care of me and let me exchange my clothes with no receipt and was so beyond understanding. Seriously disappointed in these leggings. I bought them thinking they were going to last me a long time considering the high amount they cost. Have only had them for 3 weeks and I have only work then 2 times and the leggings are losing its stitching along with fabric buildup on the inner thigh portion. These leggings are the align pant. The girl who gave me them to try them on when I asked her if there was a longer version of the align cropped gave me a cold attitude and scanned me and said "yeah I'll get them" I said thank you and she just walked away. Don't know what her name was but I bought these leggings on March 5 in the afternoon around 5 or 6, maybe she gave me a bad pair on purpose but I don't appreciate the poor quality especially given that they're not cheap read more

This store is my new favorite place to splurge on myself. The hubby and I both got some great workout and casual wear clothing. I personally recommend the naked style 7/8 leggings. I just needed to swap the size and he gladly did it because my tags were still attached. I bought a LULULEMON Yoga Mat and I had an asthma attack! The first night, I kept the yoga mat in my bedroom by thinking that I will have a nice stretch in the morning. I woke up with the difficulty to breath and I was coughing a lot. I was not sure if it was really the strong smell of the chemicals from the LULULEMON Yoga Mat but every time that I was getting closer to it, I was heavily reacting to it. When I read about the chemicals used for this yoga mat, I figured out that their chemicals used are toxic and can dangerous for your health. I went immediately to the store to share my experience and I had a hard time to get my refund! I still cannot believe that the lady told me that with the time, the strong smell of rubber will get away! She did not understand that it is not about just a smell but a product that can be dangerous for your health! Tonight, I have pain in the lungs and strong headaches, the smell is still a bit in my bedroom and I have to wash the towel that I put on the mat. The towel smells like the disgusting tire of a car! I was never born asthmatic, there are a new study that say: asthma and allergies have increased in the developed world during the last 30 years. The companies want to promote nice new products by using strong chemicals to make the product to look good but bad for our health and it just makes us sicker! Please look for a hypo-allergenic Yoga Mat instead and please do not encourage the products using dangerous chemicals! read more

The worst Lululemon store I've been to hands down. Sizes and colors are so limited. WAYYYY too many staff, not even friendly staff. The kind that look like they wanna go home and judge you for asking a question. This stuff hasn't bothered me too much so far, I usually know what I want before I go in so I can get out as quickly as possible. But an experience on 2/13 was just unacceptable. Came in with a friend to buy a few things. The security alarm went off when we left but the staff dismissed it like it was no big deal. We get home and turns out they left one of the security tags on one of our items. It's an accident no big deal, what upset me is when I called the store to see if I could speak to a supervisor, SHE REFUSED TO SPEAK TO ME. The store associate kept putting me on hold and relaying what the supervisor told her to say. As a manager, hiding behind your employee is unprofessional and says a lot about a brand that allows a person like this to lead their store. Avoid this store at all cost. read more

Let me start by saying that I am an avid lulu lover! I am a fitness instructor (part of the sweat collective program), and regularly purchase items from lulu throughout the year. This review (and the reason for the 2 stars) is purely based on the costumer service at the Brea location. This past year, I purchased a pair of pants that had mesh detail. One day, only a month or so after I bought the pants, I noticed that there was a whole in the mesh even though I had followed all the washing instructions and worn then with care. This was my first pair of pants in 5 years of buying and wearing lulus that I brought back into the store because of quality issues. Now, I had recently been to the Costa mesa store, and after telling them about my damaged pants they insisted that they I bring them in to be replaced with another pair. I live in Brea however, so I brought the pants into the Brea location thinking they would also be willing to "damage them out" as they call it. Wrong. The girl I showed the pants to insisted that they were going to just sew the hole up. After pointing out that you would be able to clearly see the stitching if they sewed up mesh, the girl helping just told me that was all they could do. I got the strong sense that she just thought I was trying to get a free pair of pants. She kept on making comments about how old they looked and I must have had them for a long time, despite the fact that I had already informed her that I had only owned this pair of pants for less then six months. I have heard of friends who brought in pants that were YEARS old and didn't have any issues with replacements. The way she talked to me made me feel very uncomfortable. I still have my very first pair of lulus from 5 years ago and still wear them. i wouldn't bring in an item that wasn't truly defaulty. I ended up taking the pants to another store wear they replaced them without any hesitation whatsoever! I didn't have to ask or explain myself at all! And they couldn't believe that I had been told that the mesh could just get stitched up. I have since tried to give this store a couple more opportunities to prove itself, but honestly, it just continues to disappoint. I was so excited when the lulu Brea opened because I live 5 minutes away! Before the opening of this store, the next closest location was Costa Mesa. Unfortunately I have been treated so poorly at this point, that I am fully willing to make the 45 mine drive to the Costa Mesa location just to receive their phenomenal costumer service. I love lulu and plan on continuing to purchase lots of their products! Just not at this location! read more

I ordered a few items online and since I am new to Lululemlon wasn't sure of my sizing and ordered most of it too big. I called the store to see if they had what I ordered in a smaller size and if they could hold the items for me. The customer service was fantastic. Not just did she find all the items and was able to put them on hold for me (and there were a few), she also was answering all of the questions I had and was just super nice and helpful. Ever since Christine Day stepped down and the rapid expansion of stores,the quality of the clothing and customer service has gone to Dog down. With an ignorant staff of sorority girls and no previous experience on what Lululemon's return policy and customer service is no wonder the stock tanked 20% on the March 29th 2017 earning call. This store has the absolute worst educators who are uneducated on the product and company. The second and last time I will ever go into the Brea store. If you value the experience and customer service you're better off going to an OC store or LA store. Rude, uneducated and ZERO customer service skills for a premium product. read more
