I went into lululemon today to buy a birthday gift for my brother in law, but ended up buying something for myself too. From the time we walked in, we received great service. One lady (I didn't get her name, sorry!) helped me find some joggers. She was super nice and friendly and showed me some cute stuff in the sales rack. The girl that made my day though was Alyssa. She was the cashier that I checked out with. She was very personable and was able to carry a conversation as she was ringing me up. She had asked what I did for work since I was wearing my scrubs and I told her I was a pharmacist. She just made me feel appreciated after a long stressful day at work and I wish more people had great customer service skills like her. Me and my friend went into this store on a Sunday to try on some jackets we saw online. We had a drink that we were splitting. The fitting room attendants were super helpful and everything was going well until we hit the checkout. I was putting back some items we weren't buying back on the rack while my friend was checking out. When I get over to her she looks at me like she's about to cry. Turns out the cashier attending to her was nice and asked about her day, and questioned her about the drink and how it looks good. The cashier besides her then started saying how it looks really sweet and how she "could never drink something like that" in a rude tone. When my friend mentioned that she was splitting it with me, she then stated that "she could see why". The first cashier just brushed her coworker off, made some more pleasant convo and finished the transaction but the fact that the cashier next to her was awful just ruined her whole experience. I mean she spent good money at that store and the fact that that employee saw fit that she could shame her for her dietary habits is so screwed up. Alyssa pulled out so many beautiful pairs of pants and found them for me in every size I wanted to try. She was extremely patient, kind, and supportive, and gave me feedback on how the pants looked when tried on. She also helped me exchange a pair of pants and worked quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Giselle also answered my questions quickly and was super kind and sweet. The reason of me coming here to this location was to confirm a product that the website said "that was available in this location". Upon arrival, I asked if I was able to be helped with this item and was informed that it was not available. I asked if there was any other comparable garments that was similar to it even though the website said that the size was available in this location. I asked if I could feel the material because this was for someone particular with their taste for fabrics. One employee said, "why would be look for a different one, they are not buying it." I found that comment absolutely rude. I asked another employee for help and they assured me that she knew what I needed and referred similar products. I thanked them for gratitude. I left because it was such an awful experience in this store. Any guest walking in here should be treated with respect and not judgement. That comment the one employee mentioned was unnecessary and unprofessional. I have spent hundreds upon hundreds on Lululemon over the last 7 years and never have I ever had such a disappointing experience than today in this specific store. Last week I got 2 pairs of brand new 28 inch leggings hemmed to 27 inches. "Hem to 27 in" was clearly printed on the alterations slips. I picked up both pairs of leggings 2 days later to discover that one of them was hemmed to probably 22/23 inches because it came up to my shins. I knew this would be ab ordeal because those leggings were the last pair in True Navy color in this store. So now I would have to go in, explain what happened, order new ones online, drive those back to the store to try to this hemming thing all over again and then return again to pick up the hemmed leggings. I go in today to return the messed up leggings and the cashier gave me an attitude the whole time as if this was my fault! She asked me for my phone number to pull up my purchase history and then proceeded to tell me she had to give me store credit because I did not have a receipt. I told her I had to go out of my way and order another pair, you can clearly see in my order history that I bought them here less than a week ago so you're going to give me a refund to my credit card. She finally did just that. Being treated like this was my fault after all the inconvenience is unacceptable. Lululemon is the Ferrari of athleisure attire, I expect at least a fake apology for the hemming issue. Instead I got a bad attitude and offered a store credit. read more

Sad that I'm giving two stars as I've been a loyal customer not only to Lululemon, but also to this specific location. I used to go on a biweekly basis-- to the point that the employees would notice my sister, mom and I and greet us with small talk. After lockdown and amidst Covid/Omicron, I decided to do most of my shopping online and go in-person for any returns/exchanges. I noticed after the holidays, they had an entire new staff of employees which didn't bother me or make me think twice about shopping there. However, if you have a nasty attitude, then absolutely there's an issue and it makes me question the company's definition of customer service and integrity. Anyways, I am currently 6 months pregnant so it's been kind of tricky figuring out sizing online but I ended up purchasing an item that was on "we made too much" based off the item description-- now I understand policy is that final sales are typically not allowed for returns but depending on the circumstances, there are some exceptions that can be made. The shirt was a bit snug and I wanted store credit or an exchange...NOT A RETURN and the employee (Alyssa? Alisa? Pronounced Aleesa) says, "final is final"-- nothing more, nothing less. I looked at her like that Nick Young GIF like....ok???? I've been a sweat collective member since 2016 so I'm aware of how their policy works and again, have been extremely loyal to this company not only for its quality products, but also for its exceptional service. She could've at least given me a couple of other options such as contacting customer service or making an exception as I can't even fit into the top, but she was so unwelcoming and the situation itself was handled poorly. I ended up leaving with the item and contacted GEC another day to see my options bc it wouldn't make sense for a company to sell an item and not allow store credit/exchange. What if the product wasn't as described? What if there was a defect? What if the sizing was incorrect as some of their items are more snug than others? -- GEC let's me know that (as I stated earlier) final sales are unable for return BUT exceptions can be made and apologized for the trash service I got in store. Now my dumbass didn't have the order # on me so she couldn't process the return and told me to call back once I have it. Moving forward...I call back another day but this time I'm on hold for 20+ minutes and I was already at the mall, so I decided to give it another go with another employee. I explained the situation and I could tell she was adamantly sticking to store policy but at that point, I was frustrated bc I wanted store credit for something that I bought online that did not fit and had all of its original tags on. She eventually made the "one time exception" and gave me store credit. Was she pleasant about it? No, but she got the job done and I understand it's a frustrating situation for both parties. So if anything, I appreciate her trying to be understanding of the situation. Regardless, my mom was so disappointed with the new employees and the lacking service that she doesn't ever want to go back to that location and I don't see myself going there anymore as well. I'd rather make the extra 10 minute drive to Cerritos or elsewhere than to have shitty ass service. Hoping management can reevaluate their hiring techniques or training in order to retain their customer retention by demonstrating proper customer service. read more

I came in to exchange a pair of pants. However, I do admit that I did not have my receipt. All the tags were on the pants and have only been worn once to try on for sizing. I received these as a gift. They couldn't even check my profile, or even the least offer to. All they were focused on was making profit and trying to make me spend more money than I intended to. It seemed as if they were unwilling to help unless I was here to spend more money. I was told to just "Look around to see what you want." I asked about receiving store credit, and they were unwilling to help unless I spent money the day of. If you are looking into purchasing Lululemon products, DO NOT COME to Brea Mall. There are few to NO OPTIONS, and the experience here will ruin your reputation of Lululemon. This is my second time coming to Lululemon, Brea Mall, but never again. read more

I went to the Brea store to exchange two items but no receipt on hand. Both items were purchased online and were gifts to me. I fell in line with my items and when I got to the register/associate I told him what I wanted to do. I said I have items to exchange but no receipt. I told him I would like to get a store credit or gift card. He immediately responded that I cannot get a store credit nor a gift card since I don't have a receipt. I repeated what he told me and I said ok I will look around. I looked around the store but there's either nothing I like or didn't have my size. My point of asking for a store credit or gift card is so I can order online when I find something that I like. The associate was not giving me any choice but to find something in the store. I pulled up the return exchange policy online when I walked out the store and it clearly states I can get a gift card or exchange for another item. I walked back in the store and approached the same associate and showed him the policy. He then helped me out when I said I want to order online. I still have credit left but I can't find anything I liked so he ended up giving me a gift card which was my original request. The two store associates next to him didn't even help out or say anything if they knew the policy. For the price customers pay for the items store associates need to be trained better so they don't inconvenience the customers. The Brea store needs to provide a better service. Love the fit and feel of the Nulu fabric. Got the Simply Bare short for yoga and weightlifting and they are so comfy with the slight compression around the high waist that I bought a second pair for when I have cramps! Love love love the Muscle Love tank so I bought a second one of these as well in white. Wish they also had the light grey. Love the higher neck, larger arm holes, and duck back of the shirt that keeps your essentials covered during squats. Worst Lululemon store I've been to LOL Went about a week before Christmas and Customer service was non-existent. On top of that the store was so messy that it was hard to even find any merchandise. Was rung up by a younger gentlemen who couldn't even answer a question about a sweater that I was trying to buy. I know it was a bad time to ask with the line but since there was no sales associates that helped me on the floor, I asked him and he couldn't even answer my question and on top of that seemed annoyed that I even asked him. I work retail too and I know holiday season can be overwhelming but if one of my customers had a question about a product worth almost $130 I would try to answer it as politely as I can . I felt so rushed and disappointed that I just ended up buying it and it wasn't till after I got home that I realized that he didn't even ask for my number to keep track of my purchase in my membership. Now I Misplaced the receipt (totally my fault for that) and now I can't return one of my items for a refund because of that slip up. It's usually not an issue for me to do returns/exchanges because at every Lululemon store I go they ask for my number but in this case if they would have asked for my phone number I wouldn't be having this issue. My error was coming here because of its proximity to work. I needed to exchange pants. I received 1 pair of pant with tags unworn for Administrative day 4/23/18. I had called the Costa Mesa location and they were pleasant on the phone and said to bring it by. I however went to the Brea location MISTAKE. Christine at the Brea location had me talk to another store employee so that I could be taken care of. I spoke with an employee (girl with bun) which I felt I was bothering as I interrupted her socializing. After my explanation regarding the pant, her tone of voice and apology for not being able to do anything was insincere. She then looked towards her friend and continued socializing. I went in with a hole on the butt, i asked for them to be replaced and they said, they need to try and fix it first. Which was fine with me. i get them back today and all they did was move up material from the butt area to cover the hole. **This is a Customer Service review** I wanted to go buy a hot yoga towel and drove to Brea mall specifically to go to Lululemon. I didn't get the chance to purchase one because the doors were already locked even though it was still 5 minutes until 9pm. I passed half the mall to get to Lululemon, and it was the only store in the entire mall that was closed before closing time. I understand that having last minute customers isn't the most fun, especially in a high volume store (I'm sure we've all been there or can relate in some way). However, this Lululemon is neither a high volume store nor was any employee remotely near the door when I arrived. I'm not sure exactly when the doors locked but it wasn't at 9 or five minutes to 9. An employee saw me and looked away. It's fine if you want to close early, just make sure your posted store hours reflect the time you lock your doors. read more

Bought an amazing pair of running pants here this past Winter! I love the fit and material and they seem to be of exceptional quality. Because I run often I don't mind paying a lot for my shorts/pants as long as the fit and quality are good. The store was very busy on account of Lululemon's desirable products, I'm sure. There were plenty of friendly employees on hand to answer questions and we were, actually, in and out of the store fairly quickly. I plan on coming back here for shorts this Summer. read more

Store representative Tara spoke very rudely and told me that it was my fault I missed my first time and I needed to check the time stamps. I responded asking for the second time "I'm sorry I was just asking to rejoin the waitlist" to which she responded in a rude/raised voice "we texted you and you missed your time, and you can check the time stamps on the messages". I wasn't even asking to get into the store right then cuz I knew I missed the appointment, I just asked how long it would be if I rejoined. I didn't respond and calmly walked away and heard her say "I'm not putting up with that today"... I've never left a bad review anywhere, but this was just too bad of an experience to let it slide. Coming from someone who worked in the athletic wear industry and retail, I understand not just everyone can be "sponsored" or receive the "discount". I have been a R&D member for over a year now with Lulu and would be happy to pay full price for their clothes because I genuinely enjoy working in their awesome leggings. Honestly it's not just this lululemon, it's most of them. I am a male and a person of color and whenever I look into a lululemon, i always feel too intimidated to go in. (This post has nothing to do with actual customer service or what they offer). Every time I look into a lululemon I see fit, blonde hair, early to late 20s women who work there. And to me that just makes me feel uncomfortable, this isn't me commenting on how they are as a person at all but where's the diversity. I always feel judged when i walk into any lululemon, making for an uncomfortable experience and a need to just go in and get something and leave right away And please don't counter with the one token Mexican lady, you have working for you.
