Luke and his team removed an Italian Stone Pine from our property yesterday. I couldn't be more happy with the work they did. They showed up in time, removed the tree in record time, took care of all the structures below (fence, outdoor sauna, plants) and cleaned up perfectly before leaving. They also left me the bigger pieces as camp firewood, as I asked them. Perfect! Luke gave me a fair price and I will ask him for any tree services in the future. Finally, his crew are all-around nice and friendly guys. Five stars! read more

Luke has been my tree guy for a long time now and has always done a great job. This time I had to remove and replace my street tree as well as prune my extremely tall redwood. They arrived on time and worked efficiently leaving the area spotless when they were done. read more

After getting 3 quotes to trim a Redwood that had not been trimmed in over 20 years , take out 2 other trees with stumps and trim some limbs off 2 other trees . I decided on Luke's tree care and very happy I did. The Redwood tree is actually how I wanted it trimmed. All the other trimming was great. He asked me to check a couple times on the tree and see what I thought if I wanted more trimmed. The clean up was great and the price for everything was the best of the three quotes with quality work done. Luke will now be my go to for trimming and removing of trees/ plants. He is also very easy to work with and deals with customer satisfaction. He does not disappoint. read more

This is a very well run, business- they did an excellent job on my trees. I recommended them to my daughter and she was equally pleased. They did even more work for her and were reasonably priced. I will be using them again read more

I am extremely pleased with my experience with Luke's Tree Care, who did a substantial trimming and thinning job on several of my oak trees. Luke is very professional and also easy to work with. He was willing to listen to what I wanted done and understand the motivation behind my request. He then worked with me to align on a specific plan, rather than just telling me what he would do -- which formed the basis of a good working relationship. He subsequently provided an estimate for the job that was quite reasonable. He and his team arrived on time a few days later and started the work. I appreciated that I was often invited to look at the work in progress to see if I had any comments, questions, or issues. The team worked hard and did an excellent job executing our plan, and I am very pleased with how the trees look. Also, Luke's estimate of how long the job would take proved to be very accurate, which helped me plan my schedule around the tree work. Finally, as promised, the team's clean-up work left the yard looking better than before, even picking up some debris that was there before they started the job. I look forward to working with Luke's Tree Care in the future. read more

I have been using Luke's tree care, Inc for over 20 years. Luke is very responsive and does a great job cleaning up afterwards. I believe that the value is not only in the thoroughness of this company but also in the integrity of the owner. Thank's Luke for another great job! read more

I can't believe I forgot to write a review for their great service! I asked them to come out and give me a quote for raising the canopies of 4 Chinese Ash trees and remove the stumps of other trees on a property I recently purchased. They arrived with their crew and equipment and quickly got to work. I am very happy about the result! I continue to this day to receive compliments on my trees. read more

Initial contact: I called Luke and left a message. He returned my call within one business day and made an appointment to bid the job. Meeting: I met with Luke to discuss the two large 50ft Trees that I needed to have removed and several groups of unmanaged trees throughout the yard, hallway, and stumps grinded. He was very accommodating and discussing several options that would fit in my budget. He welcomed me to shop around and compare rates and gave me some pointers to be able to spot well trained and insured contractors. Luke came in well below other large tree trimming Co. (you know the ones you see all over town) Job performance: Luke was on time, and ready to go for the 2 day job. He made sure that he gave me his cell number and introduced me and my wife to the 2 other guys. They were nice and treated my wife with the utmost respect while I was gone on day 2. Overall impression: Luke was very professional yet laid back. He made sure that the job got done correctly the 1st time and no extra charges were tacked on due to unforeseen problems. read more

Here's the deal, after moving into our house and completely neglecting the tree's, my yard started looking like a scene from Jurassic Park. I called up Luke and a few other companies for quotes, but I went with Luke because I really like that he's a family company. He takes great care of his crew and it shows in the quality work they do. They cleaned up after themselves, they got rid of all the branches, they preserved all of the nests, they even got rid of some random pile of branches that I have been meaning to toss out for a while... They were professional and explained everything they were doing clearly. They did such a good job that our neighbor actually asked them to take care of their trees and they did it that same day! Call him up. Meet the crew. You won't regret it! read more

I had two 20 foot trees that were growing together in the back yard. I called several tree companies but did not receive many calls back. Luke's assistant texted back right away saying that she would have Luke get back to me shortly, which he did. Luke is a nice person, and very flexible. I texted him my address so he could drive by to take a look. Within an hour he gave me a quote and I agreed to have him do the job. It was my good fortune that he could start in the same week. His crew showed up on time, was very polite and did exactly what was on the job order. read more

Called Luke two weeks ago he came out rite away we talk about cutting down a 80 foot tree in my backyard his knowledge of the business and his estimate just was so awesome, I called him back and we spoke about trimming the tree back and thinning out this tree and he said this tree is a silk oak tree and is very healthy and just needs some TLC. Him and his crew came out today and what a great job they did I would recommend this company over any other tree service company. I am very happy with the job they did and the $ that I was charged. Thank you read more

Luke's team did a wonderful job thinning & pruning several large trees for me--pepper, eucalyptus, oleander, maple, bottlebrush, and several crepe myrtles. I've used them many times--especially for tree & root removals--and I'm always happy with the results. read more

Luke provided a professional service. Gave me a competitive quote, and when he was hired for the job, he was on time. After the trees were trimmed he left my garden grounds beautiful as if he had never been there. Will use again. read more

Luke's Tree Care is fabulous. They just removed a huge tree with a large stump and it took them 2 days to do it. Everything looks great. If you are looking for tree removal or upkeep, contact him! Great service. read more

Although I didn't get to use Luke's Tree Care's service, but I wanted to share my positive experience with them. Luke Tree Care called me right back after I left them a message, and Luke was here in a couple hours to give me an estimate. Great price! However, I needed the work done in a week but it couldn't fit into Luke's schedule unfortunately. I had to pay a couple hundred dollars more to have someone else came in and get it done... Anyhow, from meeting with Luke to voice messages he left me (he kept me updated if he could work things around to get it done sooner), he is very professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. Plus all these positive reviews on Yelp, I have no doubt about the quality of their work. I will definitely use them in the future. read more

Luke is a great guy to work with. He was very punctual, showed up on time and made sure he does what he says. Rates were very reasonable compared to some others. I would Recommend Him for your tree care services. read more

Our family has used Luke's Tree Care for over 10 years. Luke is a consummate professional, as are his field teams. They all have a fantastic eyeI for how trees should be trimmed and pruned, so they not only look beautiful, but can grow appropriately as well. Each time, our yard has been left spotless as they remove and chip all trimmings, then blow the work area so that not so much as a trace has remained. And their prices have been extremely reasonable and always competitive. I used to call several tree care companies to get quotes, Luke's has shown me I no longer need to do that. read more

WHAT A GREAT COMPANY! My tree in the backyard lost a huge limb and I didn't have a clue as to how to get rid of it or what to do with rest of it. Luke came out and gave me an estimate and start date, Great job! read more

Based on my very positive experience today, I definitely recommend Luke's Tree Care for your tree trimming needs. I'm inspired to write this review as Luke and his crew pull away... they did a great job and were very pleasant to work with. They came right on time, and quickly got to work. It was clear they "know trees" and did a beautiful job trimming the seven trees we asked them to trim and were very careful to not damage any of the many plants in my yard that have suffered when we've used other tree trimmers. They were thorough and efficient, cleaned up after themselves completely, and I couldn't be happier. Oh, and the price was lower than any other folks we've used... leaving room in my budget for a well-deserved tip! read more

My neighbor used Luke for many years and he's very meticulous about year on the hill. Luke took 2 dead trees from my very steep hill and worked around 2 small pecan trees to save them. What can I say ? Doing anything on a very steep hills is very difficult but Luke's crew was excellent. They cleaned up nicely, they put all my flowers pots back and if you want, they can 'chipped' the trees and you can use them as mulch for your big yard. Definitely will use them in the future. read more

With all the positive reviews I was eager to have a tree trimmed by Luke's. Unfortunately, the customer service was awful -- it took a week to return my call, another week to provide an estimate, and after two weeks of waiting to have someone schedule the actual servicing, I gave up and had another company do the job. I will say that on the one occasion I spoke to Luke on the phone, he seemed knowledgeable and was helpful. It's too bad the customer service was so bad I couldn't get the job actually scheduled. read more

Not sure if this business still exists. Called several weeks ago a few times. They called back and said they will come out for a quote. That never happened. Have called several more times in the past couple of weeks and no one is responding. They never answer the phone and don't return calls. Either they have a lot of business and don't have time, or something has happened and they are no longer a company ... but at least changing the answering machine greeting from "we will call you back in 1 hour" to something more realistic would leave a better impression. As is, unfortunately I can't think of any other rating level I can leave. read more

We hired them since we had a dying tree. Roger came the same day I called, at 8pm (the only time I could meet - I appreciated the devotion to duty), gave us a free estimate (reasonably priced). The only glitch was that instead of calling Friday, as we agreed, he called Saturday, wanting to come the next day, Sunday - which changed our plans a bit. That said, he and his workers came at the agreed time on Sunday, did the job quickly and professionally. They left the stump of the dead tree in a neat pile chopped for fire wood. They do prefer cash. We were very happy. read more

We had received a notice from the City Of San Jose to trim our three parkway trees within 7 days. I received a wonderful recommendation from my neighbor who used Luke's Tree Care-a local family owned business last year with great success. My neighbor referred me to YELP for additional professional references. Luke arrived ontime to the estimate appointment and provided a fair and competitive quotation and we added a tree stump removal for a courtyard tree. I received the 10% YELP discount as stated. After the Wednesday estimate, I received a call from Luke's Office verifying the following Saturday appointment (same week) and verifying if the crew's arrival time would be convenient for me. Luke's team arrived on time with trucks, chipper, chain saws, etc on time ready to go. Staff was professional and so nice to work with. My yard was completely clean of all tree and leaf cutting material. Luke dropped by the house to verify the job met our satisfaction. This is an excellent and very honest business who provides TLC for protection for both the trees and for the homeowner. I also verified that Luke's Tree Care is a fully licensed State of CA Contractor. His business is bonded and insured, protecting his staff and my property in the event of any problem. Don't wait, call Luke's Tree Care today to start a long relationship for quality tree care without a worry. We need more honest and thorough businesses like this one!. read more

Luke's crew just finished a significant tree removal and trimming project on our 2 acre property. We are very happy with the result. They were at the house for 4-1/2 days and were always very professional and in constant communication to make sure they were doing what we wanted. They finished in less time than Luke originally estimated and Luke reduced the bill accordingly. We heartily recommend Luke and his crew and will certainly be using them in the future. read more

Thorough, clean and expedient is what Luke's Tree Care is all about. They showed up on time and started on schedule. The day they came happened to be raining hard and they still worked under those conditions. In a mere afternoon my backyard was transformed. Despite carrying huge loads of trimmings and debris, they were extremely careful to not disturb our lawn and garden. We have been very happy with Luke, his team, and their professionalism. Luke's rates are reasonable for the high quality of work he performs. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great tree service. read more

Following a competitively reasonable quote from Michael of Luke's Tree Care, a family-owned business, Luke's team arrived on time the next day as planned. Prior to beginning, Roger verified our wishes for thinning and shaping our maturing and blossoming olive trees. With a good eye for balance, he carefully and efficiently checked his work from every angle as he proceeded. They then sprayed the trees as we had requested to retard future olive production. Luke came by to oversee the interim work progress and to introduce himself. The fellows left our yard neat and clean. The result is a beautifully professional job. We are delighted with the quality of their work. We will call them again. read more

AWESOME! In a bit more than an hour they removed three nasty trees and trimmed a big one (all in a tiny enclosed patio). It truly was cleaner after they left! Luke is friendly, easygoing and is obviously dedicated to his business. Luke and crew completed multiple tree removal, including stump grinding, and removal of all surrounding shrubbery, plant growth, and overgrown weeds. Work performed was prompt, efficient, thorough, with results exceeding expectations. In every aspect of the project scope, from the reasonable quote, through the care exercised during the work, to the clean-up after job completion, Luke's Tree Care was highly competent and professional. Also family owned and good people to deal with. To those contemplating retaining Luke's Tree Care, HIGHLY RECOMMEND and DEAL WITH CONFIDENCE. read more

Had Luke and crew out for a large silver leaf maple in my backyard in need of some fairly significant trimming including one large and heavy limb right over our neighbors house. Luke said what he was going to do and then did what he had said. Tree looks much better and it is clearly much safer. The bid was quite reasonable, as a matter of fact it was the lowest I had received. A couple other places were really trying to gouge me. The clean-up afterwards was superb. Not a branch or twig to be found. We now have a tree guy and I HIGHLY recommend Luke's Tree Care. You will not be disappointed. read more

I manage a commercial aquatic club in Fremont and over the weekend we had an incredible wind storm come through the area. Our eucalyptus grove along our parking lot was a couple of years overdue for trimming, and therefore we lost a huge branch (25' long, 10" dia., and a few hundred lbs.), big enough to cause major damage to a vehicle. Luckily, this happened overnight so no damage. After calling 5 different tree services all over the bay, Luke's was the only one that wasn't booked up all day. The owner, Luke, came out himself within the hour, as all his other crews were busy dealing with emergencies, and gave us a great price to cut up and haul away the limb! We are looking forward to their estimate to trim back all of our other trees. Can't wait to work with them again! read more
