Came here for lunch today and although the food was delicious, we were not impressed with how long it took for them to bring it to the table. After waiting 20 minutes to get seated, it took another 10 minutes to get drinks. When the waiter finally came around another 15 minutes later to take our order he realized he forgot to bring my son's drink. After placing our order which was 2 bowls of pho...you'd think that would be pretty simple, it didn't arrive to our table for an hour. Totally unacceptable. We were about to go to the hostess to just pay for drinks and leave since I hadn't seen the waiter in a long time. Finally saw waiter at another table and called him over to inquire about our food, he went to go check and came back with it 5 minutes later. The table next to ours literally got their food before us and they arrived after us. So disappointed, I really wanted to love this place but not with this service. I really can't comment much about the Pho, it wasn't spectacular. Cilantro is not served with pho here so if you want this topping you will have to ask. read more

The food isn't tasty. Sorry, that's my honest opinion. 5 people at the table, all had the same opinion (and all had different dishes). I had tried take-out from the old location--and didn't like it--but figured I'd try this location since I had a coupon. When 4 out of 5 people need to add seasoning to their meal... read more

RUN, do not walk to this place!! Hands down some of the best Vietnamese food I've had, besides home cooked! Pho is amazing! I got the Bánh xéo, which is one of my all time favorites. The only drawback is that I wish it was crispier..it was a bit soggy. Flavors were still amazing! We've been your getting gift cards for my brother in law and his wife for the last two years! They come from Germantown to eat at your restaurant...they love it just as much as we do! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu ! read more

Excellent food and very easy to order online. Make sure you try the crispy veggie rolls and duck pot stickers. We loved our main courses (Basil with thick rice noodles and Singapore Noodles). read more

This place was recommended to us and we finally got a chance to try it. There was a bit of a wait that night and I almost left because I was getting hangry, but the hostess was so nice and patient, I figured I could try this thing called patience too. It's a nice little restaurant - dim and romantic. Kinda like a place you'd take a first date...or 100th. ;-) This place isn't your traditional fast casual pho and banh mi Vietnamese restaurant, there are other family style dishes too. I can't vouch for the authenticity of these non pho dishes, but I can for flavor. Service was great. Our waiter (Forgot his name. Swore I wouldn't forget, but I did) was super nice and helpful. Funny too. One of those guys who's easy to talk to and gives each table personal attention despite being very busy. We ordered the duck curry and a pork belly dish (or as I like to call it - Asian bacon). The curry was very tasty (despite having pineapple in it. I have a weird aversion to cooked pineapple in food), but I knew it would give the curry a nice flavor. And it did! I could eat bowlS of rice topped with this yummy curry. The duck was good, but a bit on the tougher side. Overall the dish is worth ordering. The pork belly was really good, and so were the veggies it was sautéed with. The veggies weren't overcooked and had a perfect crunchiness to it. The pork belly was really tasty - just enough fat and meat. Again, a wonderful accompaniment with rice. We cleared out both dishes - a great feat because the portions aren't small. The one complaint I do have is the pork belly dish was quite salty. Certainly still edible but could probably give you a good run for your blood pressure, if you're prone to that. Adding, definitely still worth ordering. Would definitely visit here again to try other dishes. The menu is big and has lots of yummy looking dishes on it. read more

Amazing! Love everything I have ever ordered and I have ordered a lot. The Pho and the shrimp curry, steak salad dish, blacked shrimp, fish, vermicelli all great. read more

The wait for the food takes for ever. It good but not consistent with the food service or delivery. Bummer.

The food is amazingly flavoured. It's not spicy but flavoured well with various spices and that the beauty of the preparation. I loved every bite of what I ate. My favorite here is Chicken in Hot Pot - Com Ga Tay Cam. It comes in a bowl with the dish on top of yellow rice. Mix it and eat them. Eternal bliss to all my taste buds. read more

I'm a fan of the original LC, and was excited to see that another location is now open. This location isn't the same cramped dive - it's got a spacious, trendy interior. Unfortunately, the food has been inconsistent so far. The same chili lemongrass tofu dish is bland one day and too spicy for me the next, for example, and first few attempts at takeout here have been slow and disappointing. I love the location and the makeover, and I'm hoping that the food consistency will improve in the next few weeks! read more

Lucky Corner - So nice! - Vietnamese Near Me - Frederick, Maryland

This is their new location in Frederick. I used to frequent the downtown location when I first moved here but the service there is extremely SLOW. this place however is quick attentive and food is always outstanding. I have yet to find a place for pho in Frederick that compares. Prices are pretty average for pho and I like that they have ginger ale because I'm a nerd. Haha. read more

I am so thrilled that Lucky Corner has expanded and opened a second restaurant in town. The new location is so convenient. I love the decor, very clean and welcoming. Tonight I had the Black Pepper Shrimp and Scallops and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce has a slightly sweet and peppery taste. The scallops and shrimp were lightly breaded and came out fresh and hot. I got noodles instead of rice and they were very tasty mixed with the last of the sauce. The staff are always so sweet and pleasant. I took their suggestion with my dish tonight and was not disappointed. Also enjoyed a nice tai iced tea to go with dinner. I will be a regular here for sure! read more

The best food that I enjoyed in my 7 years of stay in the US.. Praise Jesus for leading us to this place ... The service was good , the place is decent enough and the food just aced it ... You have to try the green beef curry , it is a must have .. and if you like your food hot n spicy like me , plz make sure to ask them for the chilly oil.. I mixed it with the soup n the rice that is served with beef curry and it takes the food to a whole another level ... it's definitely a 7star .. read more

Typical American palette catered Vietnamese food. Nothing special or genuine on the food. Service was good.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch w/ 2 out-of-town visitors, we all thought the food was exceptional, starting with the crispy spring rolls (split 2 orders). My sister had the mango chicken and I the tamarind chicken, and although they both tasted similar (and shouldn't in theory) and I realize they're not real authentic Vietnamese recipes, they were both seasoned perfectly for our non-spicy palates, and the chicken pieces tender and delicious. We both ate every bite with very little conversation in-between, and my brother-in-law cleaned his plate of pad thai as well. Very nicely done. It's a little bit of a trip for me but one I wouldn't hesitate to do again when in the mood for some good Viet-fusion food. read more

Fantastic food. Their Chilean Sea Bass was out of this world. Everything is prepared fresh, so do not expect to get your food instantly, but definitely worth it. Highly recommend! read more

Delicious food when we went on a crowded night but their drinks were horrible. Older man behind the bar made two of the worst Drinks - tasted like very watered down lighter fluid and very little cranberry juice although Cosmo listed on their speciality cocktail drink menu. Would go back for the food - it was good. read more

Lucky Corner Vietnamese Cuisine is an awesome restaurant. Davis, the manager, is an excellent bartender and server. My wife, Debbie, and I have been going there for about a year. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We've tried the chicken teriyaki, green bean chicken, mango chicken, beef with broccoli, etc. We are making our way through the menu. We always feel welcome. We always have fun! I highly recommend Lucky Corner! Eric and Debbie S, Frederick, MD read more

Staying at a brand name hotel in the vicinity. Called in an order. First impression not great. Put on hold without a chance to say a word Then, told it would be 20 min for my order. Okay... After all owing 25, got to the restaurant, front end assistant looked up the order & confirmed. Then just disappeared. Had to ask again, then was charged. Hostess disappeared with my card. I am SURE my order was not even started until then. 20+ minutes later, still waiting. No communication about my order. If I hadn't already paid, I would be out of here. read more

Good food and great service. The duck gyozas were delicious. The location feels isolated.

Very good Chili Chicken dish and Peking duck rolls. I like the atmosphere on Buckeystown Pike, but the service is better on 7th St. I had to ask a few times to get a drink refill. Great food though! read more

What was once one of my favorite restaurants in frederick has now become one I think I'll have to move on from. Every time for at least the last 5 timed I have placed an order for pick up things are missing from my order. The response from the staff at lucky corner isn't very interested in solving the problem, the attitude is nonchalant with the occasional "remind us to add it next time" or " you can come back and pick it up". As much as I typically love the food, I'll look to other places that have better service... read more

Excellent food, service can be slow sometimes, but a pleasant atmosphere. Blend of Vietnamese and Thai food.

The atmosphere was elegant and very clean. The food was great! And our waitress and the hostess(assuming she was the owner) was super nice and friendly. I took my 2yr old toddler with me and they were very accommodating. They had few Thai dishes on the menu as well. read more

The new Lucky Corner restaurant was a very pleasant surprise! The service was prompt, attentive and accommodating. As you may know, there are dishes prepared with heat - number of hot peppers, well they granted my wish of little to no heat to their 2 - pepper dish. Simply relish!! We started our lunch with their shrimp spring rolls. OH MY GOODNESS!! You must try them! A combination of cool, crispy and silky (from the wrap itself). The rice noodles added to the crispness. They also came with a side of chili sauce topped the crushed peanuts. I didn't partake however my hubby loved it. Our main courses were shrimp with eggplant and basil while I had their duck curry. Hubby loved his though it wasn't hot enough, he's a 'slap-yo-mama hot' lovin' kind of guy. That means more than 4 alarm! Anyway, my duck was perfectly cooked and sliced. Yummy! The snap peas were crisp and the touch of pineapple gave it sweetness that was blended into the savory. Definitely we will be going back again!!! read more

Totally authentic in a quaint little spot downtown. My second favorite place to get Pho, but my favorite place is too far away so Lucky Corner fills in nicely. I definitely prefer the downtown location to the Westview one. It's more lively and the food somehow tastes better. read more

Love their food and service very clean and fresh Vietnamese cuisine. The owner is awesome we had a very pleasant time at this place.

OK so my son and I caught the lunch special here (11-3) if I'm not mistaken. I ordered the black pepper chicken which was pretty good. A little too sweet on the sauce. The steamed rice was fresh and the vegetables were perf curly steamed . Bright green broccoli. My son had the children's pho or the small and the noodles were ok but the broth was too salty :/ Aside from this the customer service was amazing our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal and was very helpful. They have a variety on their menu I would like to come and try another plate maybe that one wasn't the one for me. I would came again read more

Far above average Vietnamese food ... good quality ingredients, care in preparation.

This place has really gone downhill. Sad. It was much better before it changed locations. Now the pho is bland and overly sweet and lacks in beefiness. read more

Food was just okay. Our server was very nice and it seemed all the waitstaff seemed to be very friendly. Food wasn't bad, it just didn't seem to have a whole lot of favor. We shared lettuce wraps but there was just an over powering taste of fish paste/oil in them. My husband had curry chicken, he said it was bland for having curry. I had lemon grass chicken and after a few bites I was not interested in finishing my dish. Like I said it wasn't bad tasting, it was just underwhelming. I couldn't see myself choosing to eat here again. read more

We have been customers since we moved to Frederick several years ago. We were so happy when this second location opened closer to our house. However, it has been hit or miss . . . and we are really sad because we love Vietnamese food. I'm writing this review because, after so many times of getting bad dishes, I think something should be said. The quality is not that great. Some dishes are completely inconsistent when you order them more than once (from really good to really bad). We stopped going here as often as previously, and not even ordering take out anymore. We decided to try it out again yesterday: great appetizer rolls (two different kinds), a very good duck curry, and a not edible Duck at the Corner. This has been the story since this location opened. What a disappointment!!!!! If they want to keep the customers, they should do better. BTW, we were always happy with all the dishes at the Market St location every time we went there or got take out--and they are a little place with almost no kitchen! read more
