Needed a quick bite after a long day of travel and I stumbled upon this spot. There were so many menu options to consider but I went for the bacon cheeseburger, small fry, and a fountain drink. They are famous for their breakfast burritos, which unfortunately I cannot personally attest to as I can't eat most of the ingredients, but friends and family rave about them. I love their French fries and their fried fish sandwiches. I dream about those fried fish sandwiches! It's been a great source of comfort food during the pandemic, and is not expensive so you also get a lot for your money. Indulge and pay a tiny bit extra for the large fries! Being a customer of Lucky Boys for 30+ years, you count on people doing their job, this is not the case at this location. Their chili cheese fries do not taste the same as their location on Arroyo. We were disappointed and dissatisfied with what we were served. The cheese was different and the chili was old and clumpy. We called and spoke with Ruben and he said to bring the receipt and we could get a refund or replacement of something else, since we were not in the area to return the food. He told us to throw it away. Fast forward to last Monday, we went in and spoke to Alfredo, we explained the situation and before we finished our first sentence he was shaking his head no. He asked where were the chili cheese fries, if he had listened he would of known that we were told to toss them since we were no longer in the area. At one point while we were trying to explain again that we want a refund, he turned his back and walked away. He told us to call the owner named John. Alfredo needs to have better customer skills and chose to handle this situation very poorly. You will lose this long time customer just on his disrespectful nature alone. Food here is AMAZING don't get me wrong. I have been a lucky boy customers for years. This location has been lacking on customer service. The lady that has been working here for a while always has an attitude and does not make customers feel comfortable when asking for additional items. She has such a rude personality. To make it clear, there's two ladies working here, I believe one on them is new. The new lady is extremely nice and I LOVE when she's the only one at the cashier. This other lady which has semi curly Afro hair is RUDE. She needs to leave or else this place will go down. I am always on the look for a great breakfast burrito place and Lucky Boy was the perfect find for me. They had many choices for burritos, and you can also add any additional add-ons if desired. I personally got the Supreme Breakfast Burrito and it was awesome. To be fair, it's hard to really not make a carne asada, egg, cheese, & sour cream burrito taste bad, but what makes them stand out is their value. They gave me a HUUUUGE burrito, that only costed me about $10. Most other places that would serve something this good and at that size, would easily charge $13+ for it. Their service also is very speedy and very friendly. Even though their food was amazing, I do have one problem to note. I did come for dine in, which is self seating, but most, maybe even all, tables were very dirty/messy. All of them either had wrappers, crumbs, etc on every table/seat. Passdena classic. The one on arroyo is OG but this one is conveniently two blocks from my house and has Oreo shakes so I come here. Staff is so friendly and even recognize me and my son who have been coming here since he was in a stroller (he's 9 now). Chili cheese fries with bacon, ranch on the side, and if we're feeling daring maybe a double cheeseburger and an Oreo shake. That's our go to. It has never failed us. Ive been coming to lucky boys for over 20 years. I purchased a few items on 9/9/23 around 8:15am. There was a Latino lady with curly hair at the register who gave me major attitude will I was ordering my food. While I waited for my food multiple customers came in and she did the same to them. Once I received my order, I requested an additional ranch sauce and she once again gave me attitude. I told her I was willing to pay for it. I did asked why she was charging me because in the pass I gotten one ranch with my breakfast burrito for free. If policy has change she could have explained it without her attitude. This is so unprofessional and she need some customer service training or replace her with a person who actually wants to work and provide proper service. I will be contacting the owner on Monday morning. This is not the first time she's given Attitude to me or my wife. This needs to stop. read more

My go to place when staying at the Westin just a short block away. tasty breakfast and burgers for lunch. Chili, fries and onion rings are also plentiful and tasty. Once again here is my NEW review and once againI I got horrible customer service from an older lady with curly hair. She was rude right from the beginning, she was even rude to a customer that was ordering before me. The customer was just asking for hot water and she answered her very rudely. We then asked her to add an extra ranch, which we know we have to pay extra. My husband then said oh doesn't one come already with the burrito? And she then said no you have to pay for them and he said I go to the other Lucky boy establishment and that doesn't happened there. Her responds was extremely rude and very unprofessional. She was like well that is there and this is here in Spanish. Her attitude was very uncalled for, she needs to check that attitude at the door. Great fast service. I love their veggie breakfast burrito, had large chunks of avocado which was very fresh. Includes hashbrown, Cheddar cheese, avocado. Huge and I was full after eating half and saved the other half for lunch. They open early so it's perfect for breakfast . Plenty of parking. I wish they had a drive thru. I also like how they give you complimentary yellow chili peppers and also red salsa. I don't know the cashier but she is very friendly and quick. Love it . Went to get one for my husband and saw a homeless guy walk around the restaurant, go outside, dig through the trash, come back with a dirty plastic empty Gatorade and a paper cup, and then help himself to the fountain drinks. He literally stood there, drank, refilled them, and gave death stares to everyone. I was absolutely disgusted and would never return. Use the soda fountain at your own risk, employees did nothing. Lucky Boy is known for their Bacon Breakfast Burritos. The price has gone up, but that is expected. I'm happy that they survived the pandemic. They have been around for a long time, and they serve their breakfast burritos all day and night long. Their previous sauce was the reason why I would go to Lucky Boy, plus they were big enough for 2 people. Their breakfast burritos is 5 stars, but their new sauce is just 3 stars. No where on menu did it say up charge for more hash browns. - Told young man at counter "would have been nice to know" he smiled and said "yah". - 1/2 way through burrito bit into something real hard ( I kept it don't ask why) which looks like where a avocado is attached to stem. - Threw burrito away $14 down the drain - Seriously how do you get Bfast wrong? If you're looking for a place where you KNOW that you'll get the same thing every time, this is one of the few (In-N-Out is one of the others). The employees are always energetic and the place lively. I can see why this place has been a staple in the community and will probably continue for decades (or for the rest of time ;P ) They do have their own dedicated parking lot, however with the amount of visitors they get it fills up quickly and parking can be an issue. Even with this (and I absolutely hate worrying about parking spots), I don't hesitate to visit again and again. The thing to get lucky boy are their famous breakfast burritos. You can get them with Bacon, Sausage, or Ham. I highly recommend the sausage and bacon. The burritos come loaded with bacon and sausage, the burritos are not super salty either, it's nicely balanced with the cheese and the hashbrowns inside. They are quick to be made and adding their salsa, just makes it my favorite thing in the world to eat. I have tried other things like pastrami chili cheese fries from this location, they are good but most definitely greasy. Pretty pricey as well, it was around 14 dollars for the pastrami chili cheese fries. If you have to ask me which location I would prefer? I would prefer the Arroyo one, mainly because it's open later than this one. This one also has a credit card minimum of 10 dollars which the other one does not. read more

On a Sunday morning in March, my sister and I wanted to try Lucky boy 2nd location. It was easy to find and park. There was already few people waiting for their food. The wait time for a basic egg and bacon burrito was short. While waiting, they have nice mural and history of their walls. My sister and I shared a burrito and it came with salsa.
