Terrible customer service today! Lowe's offers curbside pickup but good luck getting your merchandise as staff don't answer the posted phone number or help in person. After 40 minutes trying to claim my purchase I gave up, got the item off the shelf and stood in yet another long line to pay for it. Want to complain? I'm resourceful, but I found it impossible to reach a member of Lowe's management by phone. I could have purchased the same item from Amazon without a hassle and with fast, free delivery. Trying to buy a simple BBQ from what I found on their website. At the store I found complete incompetence at their customer service desk. Lazy employees who don't care about a sale or your time. Finally purchased the BBQ and set up the assembly and pick up the next day. Called the next day to check on it, they had my name wrong, cell number wrong, hadn't started assembling the BBQ. I got upset and started bitching, they got it assembled but when I arrived I had to bitch again because the name and cell number were still wrong and they didn't want to release it to me. My wife and I decided to order blinds for most of our windows, so we headed to the blinds department where we were greeted by Stephanie. She was very patient and knowledgeable about blinds. She even called to follow up with us. After 2 days of deciding which brand we came back and she helped us complete the order. After about a hour and a half we were done. Had a dishwasher install today. Everyone told me not to have things installed by Lowe's. I should have listened. A guy showed up solo. Said he was going to run down the street to pick up his "cousin" to help him. In and out of almost two hours tracking in dirt and water. When they were finally "done" they turned on the water in the kitchen and it was a slow trickle. Called his boss..was messing with the sprayer to "see if it was clogged"...because installing a dishwasher clogs the sprayer? Said it was a problem with the shut off valve. Told me he'd be back with his boss later..between 4 and 6 pm. This was at 11 AM. It's after 6. Nothing. No usage of a dishwasher..which is loose in the opening..and zero water pressure in my kitchen sink. An entire day wasted. Thanks Lowe's. You may want to find some new contractors. read more

We went to this location because they were the closest store that sold this particular type of solid surface for showers. The guy in the department was very helpful and knowledgeable. He gave us a quote for the materials and it was very reasonable. We would have to go to a website to find a contractor to install it on our area since their people wouldn't travel one hour away. We just purchased a Maytag washer. We shopped Home Depot and Costco and Lowes was the only store to have the washer in stock. Score 1 for Lowe's. Home Depot and Costco gave me dates of 10 days. We drove from Camarillo to Lowe's in Oxnard. Online it showed the store having 6 washing machines, we were thrilled to find out that they actually did have stock Score 2 for Lowe's. They were able to find the item (Score 3) measure the box to see if it would fit in our SUV (Score 4) lent us a tape measure to measure our Sequoia (Score 5) helped us load it (Score 6) plus the store is well lit (Score 7) well staffed (who ever gets to say that now days! (Score 8) the displays are lovely and I wanted to buy many things feature (Score 9) and the staff was super friendly (especially Bob and Ryan) and plus the store was clean as in spotless. Lowe's items ordered on-line. Received an email but they should not send the email telling customers the product is ready to be picked up until the items have been pulled to the front counter by employees. I went in AFTER receiving the email telling me my order was ready to be picked up. Staff at counter did not seem to know process - very confused. Turned out NONE of the items had been pulled from shelves. They asked if I minded waiting for a few minutes and I told them I would go to the nearby KFC for a bite to eat and be back in 30-40 minutes. When I went back the same employees I dealt with 40 minutes earlier did not seem to even remember me or why I came back. They had STILL not pulled the items. After a few walky-talky calls to wherever the employees were, they finally came with the items almost an hour after my initial entry to the store after receiving the email telling me items were ready for pickup. Well I must say I was not very happy with the fresh Christmas tree that I purchased . The reason I did go to buy a fresh tree was for my 84 year old mother. Every year she has an artificial tree, I thought it would be nice for her to have that smell of pine you get from a fresh tree NOT..... No it's not dying , has plenty of water. After the fact that you have thrown away your receipt and decorated the tree , well your kind of stuck with it..... Vicki called to follow up, She even called to say that I was overcharged by approx. $10 for my city permit and that she was going to make an adjustment for me. The sales people are okay in general but it is certainly quite irritating to not be able to get help early in the morning because they are having an employee meeting right between the paint department and the registers. Perhaps even worse? You cannot get through the aisles because one end is blocked by scaffolding type stuff and the other end is the entire staff talking about how much they HAVE TO sell that day. Basically... I was stuck in an aisle for 15 minutes for their meeting where the sales clerk left me right in the middle of "helping me" so he could join the rest of the employees. WHOA! read more

ZERO STARS!! WARNING! Lowe's is dishonest and cannot deliver as promised. They are quick to take your money and deliver NOTHING. Ordered a refrigerator and waited weeks for delivery. Calls to the appliance dept. manager proved unproductive. I was not successful in reaching the store manager. They kept calling me week after week telling me the fridge would be delivered next Friday, and I waited patiently, only to be disappointed once again. Finally the last week of promised Friday delivery, no calls were received so I had to initiate a call. I spoke to Frank, the ONLY honest employee who told me that the fridge was on backorder and he was sorry but could not tell me when it would be delivered. Why couldn't the dept. manager tell me that weeks earlier? If you have a family and no refrigerator, you know how inconvenient it is, and Lowe's just added to that inconvenience. What happened to honesty, integrity, and plain customer service? Just be honest with your customers. If Lowe's would have just told me the truth instead of just trying to make a sale, I would probably gotten another model, a sale would have been made and both parties would have benefitted, but the disrespect of my time and lack of customer relations experienced at Lowe's will guarantee that I will never do business with them again. read more

I bought a ceiling fan, remote control type. I was told to buy the metal brace too. My plan was to have Lowe's install my fan into a one bed room. I payed the $40 no refundable fee to get a estimate. The $40 would go towards the total installation fee. I only needed 1 ceiling fan installed with out a switch and they were going to charge me over $310 Totally outrageous!!!! I found a licensed, Insured electrician to install it for $150 UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I will never get my $40 back. My fault. But won't happen again!!!! I asked Lowe's if they would lower the fee of $310 to about $150-$200 and they said no. You just lost my business. Enough said! read more

Wanting good customer service is wanting too much apparently. We ordered bathroom cabinets, counter tops, plumbing fixtures, kitchen appliances, Pergo flooring for our entire home. We ordered all this in July and we still don't have our bathroom up. Why? Because of mistakes on cabinets ordered, mistakes on counter top ordered and a bathroom tub faucet and spray with the diverter rod missing from the package that was told to us contained everything. Today I'm out of patients. Today Lowes showed me they really don't care about the customer only about taking your money. @ 6:36 I'm still waiting on a promised return call from Sarah. I phoned early this morning regarding the diverter missing from the moen faucet we purchased in July. Our plumbers were here to install a free standing bath tub and the faucet. As our plumbers look thru the items to be installed they noticed the diverter rod was missing. As they were working down the street he told my husband, no problem go back to Lowes and get it, call me when u get back and we'll still do the install today. What happened was my husband went to the customer service desk, was told by Sarah to go to plumbing to receive help from an associate in plumbing. That individual told my husband we would have to call vendor ourselves to have the missing diverter rod replaced. WHAT! My husband returned home with no diverter rod for our install. Since when is it the customers responsibility to take care of a part missing from merchandise sold? We we're told when we purchased this item...a open box item that everything we need was there. The associate that helped us order the special order bathroom cabinets and counter tops "Oscar" personally looked in the box and verified everything was there. So we took the moen faucet home. We found out today it was not. We are also still waiting for the vanity fillers and glue to install the vanity tops we did not receive with our bathroom cabinet order. Oscar now at the pro desk reordered the items 6 to 8 weeks ago.(I've lost time all sense of time, it's been so long) we had not received any updates as to why we had not received our items. My husband had to go into Lowes, spoke with another associate and was told the items had not been received and since 30 days had past they would have to resubmit the order. We have now been without our bathroom for 3 months. I told this to Sarah today and she said she had to go to lunch but, she would phone me with a solution when she got back. Sarah phoned said she told me that the faucet we purchase did not come with the diverter rod and had to be purchased separately. I looked at the box and that was not correct as the parts list included the diverter. She ask for the sku number and found I was correct. She proceeded to tell me the she would have to special order the part from the vendor as this was a special order moen faucet. I told her we had not special ordered this faucet, Oscar had pulled it from the shelf. Sarah then told me it might have been ordered for another customer and then returned to the store. I told her apparently since this item was opened it was possible that a customer opened the package used the diverter rod and returned it to the store without the part. The items returned should always be checked to insure that all parts included on the parts list are returned for resale purposes. This whole situation could have been avoided. Sarah told me she would order the part also check on the status of our bathroom parts reordered and not received and she would phone me back. As I write this it is 7:17pm and still no call from Sarah or any other associate from Lowes. When I phoned this morning and asked for the store manager, I was given to Sarah. I have since been made aware that Sarah is not the Store manager. That I should have been connected to Anna. At this point why?... several associates have been involved and no one follows up on items not received by the customer from the vendor. I worked years for a home improvement store as a kitchen design associate and as a project coordinator. I knew customer service is important. read more
