The Collection @ Riverpark has so many offerings: Retail Stores, Apparel, Health & Beauty Shops, dozens of Restaurants, a Food Hall, Bars, Salons, Bowling @ Bowlero, 24 Hour Fitness, Century Movie Theater, a Target, Whole Foods Market & the list goes on. Plenty of free parking that is walking distance. Metered Street Parking found in front of businesses. Free Parking garage available... A few EV Charging Stations offered & Tesla Charging Stations available. Hit or miss during the week. Definitely busy on the Weekends.

I can't park for 2 years now

Ever since they started enforcing the parking fee it has been less attractive to come here. It's such an inconvenience. I have to deal with the slow meter just to run in and grab a Starbucks or boba. Also, I have no reception so when the only spot available is the one where you have to scan a QR code then I can't pay. They have no idea how much business they just lost from me.

Great shopping spots, eateries, bars, and they always decorate for the holidays :) loving their massive tree! This place is so much fun. Can easily spend hours here. They even have a little park area with turtles in a small pond. Sooo cute! Check out Levity live for comedy shows, bowlero for bowling and arcade, mighty axe for axe throwing and brews, enjoy!!!

I really appreciate the variety of foods and activities you can find at the collection. The service, as far as keeping up the area, is really good. Whenever I visit, it's clean and appealing.

The Collection is where it's at! They offer many great place for photos and to wine and dine. Definitely, the best place to enjoy for Summer! They do offer activities throughout the year for kids of all ages. Don't forget to stop and see the turtles!

Parking meter

This Place installed parking meters just to make money out of shoppers, City of Oxnard made a big mistake by allowing this; the minimum is $2 dollars. Can you imagine making a quick stop to Starbucks just to get a cup of coffee and on top of your $ 3.25 Drink you pay also $ 2 dollars, so you are gonna ended up spending $5.25. Your Quick stop to Starbucks is probably 10-15 minutes but you still gotta pay no matter what cause there is private security guards patrolling like hawks giving infraction tickets.

I did not expect the place to have that kind of lively and youthful atmosphere, but the more I explored, the more I realized how much there was to enjoy without needing to rush or plan anything. The whole center has this open and easygoing vibe that makes you want to slow down, look around, and just enjoy being there. I noticed right away that there were a lot of teenagers hanging out, walking in groups, grabbing snacks, and taking pictures together. It made the whole place feel even more alive, like the center naturally attracts people who want to have fun and feel free to be themselves. What really stood out to me was how comfortable everything felt. The layout is simple to navigate, and the stores are spaced in a way that lets you wander without feeling crowded. There are plenty of spots where teenagers can sit, talk, or just relax between stores, and that makes the whole experience feel more welcoming. Even the storefronts have a playful look to them, with bright signs and displays that catch your eye as you walk by. It reminded me of how Funko Hollywood had those big cartoonish props that made you want to take pictures, except here the fun comes more from the atmosphere and the people than from giant objects. Still, it gives teenagers that same sense of freedom to be creative, social, and expressive. I only visited the Esplanade Shopping Center one time before writing this review, but it left a strong impression on me. I appreciated how easy it was to enjoy myself without feeling pressured to buy anything or move quickly. It is the kind of place where you can take your time, explore at your own pace, and just enjoy the energy around you. Seeing so many teenagers there made it clear that this is a spot they naturally gravitate toward, and I can understand why. It gives them a safe and lively environment to hang out, take pictures, shop a little, and feel connected to the world around them. I have lived for 24 years, but I do not feel physically or mentally 24 at all. Back in the summer of 2024, I learned that I am still physically and mentally 18 years old, and that my prefrontal cortex is actually more developed than the average 25 year old. Maybe that is why places like this resonate with me so much, because they match the way I experience the world with that same youthful excitement and clarity. The Esplanade Shopping Center is one of the most enjoyable and easygoing places I have visited in a long time, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there. It gives them a space to have fun, feel creative, and enjoy being themselves in a lively and welcoming environment.

I noticed right away that there were a lot of teenagers there, and seeing them taking pictures, laughing with their friends, and exploring the shops made the entire place feel even more youthful and exciting. It is the kind of environment where teenagers can be themselves without feeling judged or rushed, and that adds so much to the overall vibe. One thing I really appreciated was how easy it was to enjoy the scenery without needing to spend money. The marina, the boats, the open walkways, and the bright storefronts all felt like natural photo spots. Teenagers were stopping every few steps to take pictures, and it made perfect sense because the whole place looks like it was made for fun moments. The scenery almost feels animated in a way, not because it looks fake, but because the colors and shapes are so bold and cheerful that they stand out in a really playful way. It reminded me of how the props at Funko Hollywood looked so perfect for photos even though they were just meant for fun. Ventura Harbor Village has that same kind of charm where the environment itself becomes part of the entertainment. I also loved how calm and unhurried everything felt. Even with a lot of people around, including groups of teenagers moving from shop to shop, the space never felt crowded or overwhelming. There is something about being near the water that makes the whole experience feel slower and more peaceful. I could take my time walking, looking around, and enjoying the moment without feeling like I needed to rush to the next thing. The sounds of the water, the smell of food from the restaurants, and the warm sunlight all blended together in a way that made the visit feel really refreshing. I have only visited Ventura Harbor Village once before writing this review, but it left a strong impression on me because of how enjoyable and welcoming it felt. It is honestly one of the most playful outdoor places I have been to in a long time, especially because of how many teenagers clearly loved being there. Watching them take pictures, enjoy the scenery, and just have fun made me realize how perfect this location is for them. I would highly recommend that teenagers visit Ventura Harbor Village because it gives them a place to be creative, take fun photos, enjoy the water, and feel free in a positive and uplifting environment. I have lived for 24 years, but I am not physically or mentally 24 years old. Ventura Harbor Village fits perfectly into that feeling, and it is a place I would gladly return to because of how much joy it brings to people, especially teenagers who want a fun and welcoming place to spend time.

I let the woman at the counter know I am there with an order and have an order # in hand. She calls Monique over. I walk up to Monique with order number in hand and she doesn't even make eye contact and continues to walk away from me towards the counter to discuss with the cashier. Alright, I follow her up and let her know and am slammed with an attitude "do you have an ID?" And I said "well I'm picking up this order for my mother" and before I can even finish my sentence she rudely exclaims she cannot give me an order without an ID. I explain my mother is bed ridden and I have an order number and she refuses. I get my mother on the phone and magically Monique is able to provide the order after discussing it with her store manager. On top of that, she states "you need to be nice" after I asked her for the corporate number. She gave me the number to IT support. Pulled out a giant binder with tons of numbers in big bold writing I could read from 4' away and still couldn't give me the correct contact number. Unsure if that was on purpose or if she was feeling extra unprofessional. Last week we had a similar interaction when purchasing items labeled $5 and charging for $7 or more. We asked the cashier to fix the price because it is clearly labeled on the sticker with the SKU $5. Manager did not want to come talk to us, leaving the cashier awkwardly having to state the manager wasn't coming and he'd have to charge us $7 for a sticker that says $5. We had to ask him 3 times to get the manager up to the front and he finally came. Was not willing to fix all the prices so those items were left behind

Not everything was $5 or less today though. I guess that's the state of things. I ended up buying a big bag of mostly candy for $31. Some for me and some as quirky gifts for friends. Self-checkout was easy. Overall the store was clean and well-stocked, though a little messy/disorganized. Some stuff, especially in the candy "bins" was not in the right bins, which makes the prices confusing. One of the candies I bought, I thought it was going to be $4 but it was $2.50. And a toy I bought, I had no indication of price at all, and it turned out to be $4. Their stock changes regularly so it's fun to just check in every so often to see what they have. And if you see something you're interested in, it's a good idea to buy, as it may not be there the next time you visit. Staff I talked to were polite and professional. Parking was easy - it's in a big strip mall sort of shopping center.
