The Container Store always has a unique selection of organizational ideas. You can find bins, storage containers, travel containers, closet organizers, and more. I absolutely love wandering among the aisles in this store and imagining all my clothes and shoes perfectly organized. Unfortunately, the prices are pretty high in this story - even with discounted rates. I also like how I'm greeted every time I enter the store. Additionally, I usually run into an employee who asks me if I need any help. The store is always clean and clutter-free. My absolute favorite part of The Container Store is the section with unique gifts and items you can use, like the scrub mommy and daddy, a guide on what your cat's position and behaviors mean, and more. Super short review. No inside pictures necessary.. The review: plenty of containers you've probably seen before, like those in Costco and Amazon just way more expensive than I remember basic containers, costing, apparently containers are worth way more at this store than any other place in the nation.. The staff doesn't seem to care that you're in the store. No greeting when coming in. Nowhere to be found for questions. The site was clean, 10-12 other people in the store on a Saturday, looking unimpressed as well. Save your money and the trip down to Oxnard. I live near The Collection so it's great to have this store so close. This was my first time visiting The Container store. I moved from a 2 bed house to a studio so space and storage is a major issue for me. I knew what I was looking for but couldn't really seem to find it. When I walked in, at least 4 sales clerks were standing in the middle of the store just talking about the latest Solar Eclipse news. Sure, they all turned and said "welcome" to me and but not a single person came up to me in the 15 min of me looking around to see if I needed any help. Maybe they are trained to leave customers alone but I actually had to walk up to the cashier to ask for help. Only then did another sales clerk walk up to assist me finding another item. The store has some great quality looking items but you will also be spending quite a bit on them. I did end up buying a small kitchen island which was perfect for my space in my kitchen. And one of the sales clerks was kind to load it in my car. But it would have been nice to have them actually be attentive instead of just chatting away in a cluster. read more

I love coming to this store for organization ideas and plastic containers to store certain items. They always have unique items that would be good travel or organization hacks. On another note, I had a somewhat rushed experience at the checkout counter. Despite there being no one behind me, the cashier started scanning my items almost immediately after I placed them on the counter. The cashier scanned everything so quickly, I was too busy putting the items from the cart on the counter. Right after I placed my last item on the counter from the basket, the display screen with all the items disappeared and I was told the total amount verbally. Additionally, she placed the receipt in the bag instead of handing it to me directly, which would have allowed me to review my purchases on the spot. The transaction felt like the speed of Aldi's checkout. However, unlike Aldi's, the items were not placed in a bag after being scanned, which made me confused. It was kind of all scattered on the countertop. I am sure she meant no harm, but I would have appreciated seeing the display screen. On a positive note, the cashier did ask me for my phone number for any discounts when I got to the countertop. She also greeted me when I walked in and left the store. It seems there was just a slight difference in our preferred flow of the transaction. read more

We bought several Elfa units and the staff were excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful. They even assembled a few things making life so much easier for my family. The store is huge and well organized. They even have a restroom (clean). Be careful, you'll find so many things you didn't even know you needed. Five stars. read more

The store was clean and the staff members were friendly. I was quite surprised by how busy it was on a Friday morning. It was my first trip to this location. The staff were all wearing masks and most people in the store were practicing social distancing. The shelves were clean and organized. They have a lot of different ideas for organizing and storing your things around the house including the office, kitchen, closet, kid's stuff/toys, clothes, bathroom and others. The only thing that took a while was waiting for someone to help me with my online curbside/in store pick up. I think I waited maybe 10-15 minutes after watching about 5-8 people in line going in and out with their purchases at the check out area which constantly had a line of people waiting to pay. Overall, my order was correct, nothing was damaged and I'm happy with the quality of the items that I paid for. Definitely take a look online to see what sales they are offering and check out what you like. I got some storage containers for my pantry and a organization storage box. I knew there was a reason I had AVOIDED going here as long as I possibly could. THIS STORE IS AMAZING! I really could spend at least half a day in here. My first visit included a very specific item I was looking for - a carabineer. I asked the employee (friendly although not too pushy) who knew exactly where they were and took me right to them. Nice! On this visit I saw many items (huge store! huge variety!) that I wanted to look at but didn't have time to. So, (unfortunately, haha) I knew I had to make another trip here. My 2nd visit I went in looking for Stocking Stuffers for the techies in my life: I found several types of earbud holders and things (ways?) to keep my electronic cords together too. Way more than just containers! I was introduced to this place from a YouTube video, actually, which showed just how vast of a selection these stores have. This location has been here since The Collection's opening, and is pretty visible from the freeway. It's tricky navigating to it from the front of the mall as it's tucked into a back corner, but there is a ton of parking out front. Containers, storage, organization kits, small supplies, this place has you covered. I recently picked up a heavy-duty hook for my bulky wall mirror, and it's just what I was after. The pricing really isn't too bad, and I was actually able to take advantage of an online coupon. The store is staffed well, though the checkout lines can be a bit confusing. I've never encountered much of a wait, although the checkout process isn't exactly the fastest here. If you are in need of a random home storage item and can't find it at the standard big box stores, you'll probably find it here! read more

Big new store with tons of stuff. Very well organized and I love how they have display items for you to see and feel and hold for all of their products. Lots of their stuff comes folded/boxed/smaller than it opens up to be and buying from a picture and a small package would not be as comforting as being able to handle the item first. I was looking at a big comfy box-seat with storage and almost bought one but wasn't sure if I had room at home. Anyway my point is when I saw the box you would buy it was very short because you have to fold it open when you get it home. I definitely wouldn't have bought it based on the folded up package but may yet go back to buy it based on the example product. I stopped on on Opening Day and it was super busy. Even so, multiple employees offered to help my husband and me. They offered us carts, asked if we needed help, and there was even a lady walking around the check-out lines (they were long and slow) handing out candy. They had a table set up for kids to color at and everything was very smooth and impressive. I look forward to visiting again when the crowds die down. I placed an online order for a gift wrap hanger. It came after a month in 3 shipments and is missing a major component. I have emailed, left my call back number, and when I tried to leave a message was immediately disconnected. Today I have been on hold for 30 minutes so far. My new favorite place in our home, my new Avera closet system from The Container Store. I never had such a great organized closet, thanks to Kathy at The Collections store in Oxnard. She saw my vision and made it happen. It had me with the push self open and push self shut drawers. The whole process was easy and done with care. Kathy was very much involved throughout process and always took time to check in and kept us inform from start to finish. No pushy sales gimmicks and price was great for quality of work and product. I would highly recommend The Container Store for your closet or organizing needs. All staff at The Container Store were and are great, friendly and knowledgeable with products at store in all departments, but sorry kudos to Kathy she will be my go to person at The Container Store. Five stars for being one my favorite stores ever. Five stars for this new location at The Collection in Oxnard because it's so much closer and more convenient to where I live. I usually travel all the way to Orange County (yes, there is closer, but I love the OC). Five stars for the Container Store helping make my life so organized....... in fact, I couldn't really think of anything else to buy today because I have everything at home as compartmentalized as I can get it..... and my garage, too..... thanks to the Container Store ! Truthfully, though, this store for me is what Costco is to others.... you know, you go in for one thing and come out having spent hundreds of dollars. Yep, the Container Store is that.... except for today. I had previously bought a bunch of acrylic bathroom storage stacking bins (for my make-up and other toiletries) and had found that they were getting smudgy and dirty even with my spraying Windex and other cleaners on them...... and nothing was working. As an excuse to see this new store and knowing they'd have what I want, I sought out this Container Store for some special acrylic cleaner. I had to grab a store employee because while I found some cleaning agents, they didn't seem to match exactly what I wanted. The young lady said that her friend is a makeup artist and that she simply uses 91% rubbing alcohol, which I just happened to have at home. Even though I ended up purchasing the store's cleaning solution, I went right home and tried the rubbing alcohol. OMG........ it worked like a charm, cleaned the acrylic to a crystal clear shine again, and ironically, the Container Store's product didn't work at all. That was sooo nice of the store clerk to tell me what her friend recommended. She clearly didn't have to and could have just pushed the store product, which she did, as well. Anyway, if you need to organize your files, your drawers, your rooms, your garage, your kitchen, oh heck..... your entire life.......... GO HERE !!!!!!!!! It's really so much fun and dangerously addictive....... but you will be soooooooooooo organized, and everything will have a place, and you will be so happy. I am a Disabled Veteran and needed help with heavy items and asked assistance from a young lady walking by. She helped me carry everything. I learned that she is the GM. Rachel is definitely a hands-on leader. She also advised that they are hiring and interviewing within the week for store positions. Most amazing store ever! Walking down the aisles and aisles of every container imaginable really inspires you to put your home (and life!) in order. You can find things to organize, kinda pricey. Their service is horrible. I've been in there on different occasions and the only time employees interacted with me is the cashier greeting. I've had employees literally walk past me and not acknowledge me, knowing I'm searching for an item. I had one lady ignore me completely but greeted and offered to help a women with blonde hair and blue eyes but never said anything to me. read more

The container store sent me several messages that they were processing it and arriving later that scheduled. On May 21, 2020 I called customer service to cancelled the order - it wasn't going to get here until AFTER the Birthday party. The woman I spoke with, said "it was in process" and she would cancel it. I received it, debited my account. It took 3 days and several calls before I could speak to someone. They told I could ship it back at my cost or take into a store - 140 miles away from me. That IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE. I will never order from the Container Store again. read more

I love this retailer and particularly this location. Be prepared to spend more time here than you anticipate due to the enormous selection of items (not just containers) that help people stay organized and uncluttered. Very large store with a great layout, modern interior/exterior and tons of parking. Returns are easy with no questions asked. If your a POP member you don't even need to bring the receipt because they can retreive it from their system within seconds. The employees who work here are genuinely happy and helpful. I shopped at this store for the first time this week and I was really impressed at everything. I know the prices are a little high, but they have a good selection of products. I found some great stuff for myself and gifts. I could spend a long time shopping in here!!! Also, very impressed with how hi-tech the rewards program was and I was able to type in all my information on the Ipad.
