My first time in Oxnard was to come here for a Food Share canned tree charity event with my work peeps. We each donated $25 to buy supplies and then came here to stack up cans into Christmas trees. The Collection is a beautiful outdoor mall with shops and restaurants that I would enjoy visiting. Too bad I live to far away to come here to check it out, doh. I saw The Container Store, which I LOVE!! I still remember the first time I saw one in San Diego about 15 years ago... I was in an organizer's heaven. ;) We built our trees for the charity event and decorated them in the plaza in the middle of the shopping center, and everything was so pretty and festive. Security here is awful. They don't answer the phone. They've harassed me multiple times for extremely minor things like stopping in the parking lot in the middle of the day with no one around to see my friend I couldn't see during COVID, but then don't do anything when people are actually committing real violations like parking in handicapped spots. read more

The Collection has been a real great addition to the outer edge of the city of Oxnard. I like how there are a fairly wide selection of shops to choose from and the business did this on purpose. What I mean by that is The Collection purposefully did not rent out space to retailers that are too similar. You won't find another movie theater, another comedy club, or another outdoor retailer because those categories are filled. That doesn't help if you're counting on competition to lower your basic prices but at least it's there. I really like the addition of the Annex to the Collection, which is the new food court. I haven't tried everything there yet but I'll make my rounds soon enough. Another plus is that they have security guards roaming the parking lots and store streets. I feel like it helps keeps the place a safer place. One thing I don't like is the parking availability. On a basic day it's totally fine but when it gets busy it's almost impossible to find a place to park. They really should have make the parking structure behind the movie theater a lot bigger. read more

This is a great shopping mall for a walk, to go shopping and/or grab a bite to eat. I love that it's an outdoor mall so you can feel the cool ocean breeze and get some sunshine during the day. This place is always adding new businesses and has most of the essentials like Target, Starbucks, Whole Foods, Cinemark movie theater, REI, 24 hour Fitness, Levity Live Comedy Club and the Annex (food hall). They have mostly free parking in the structure or open lots. And for those that want to park really close to the stores/restaurants they have metered parking where you can pay. Parking can be a challenge to find especially during weekends and holidays/summer concert season but worth the drive and visit. I love taking family and friends out here when they come to visit to see what Oxnard has to offer. read more

Whatever you need is here. Walking, shopping. Or listening to free concerts in the square: you don't need to spend a lot of cash to enjoy The Collection. This is a cut above any Oxnard locations (born on the Navy Base here, it's my town too). Other shopping centers and outdoor venues should take a tour here, and do This. Example: security rousted teen skaters and hanging-around dudes, dudettes, and bicyclists circling cars. I don't leave valuables but it's reassuring to see it monitored. I also walk around old downtown, A Street Over to the train station in Oxnard and dine in that area and downtown for a fair comparison. It's way better there as long as you don't remain in your car, turn off car and take keys and go do your business. Keep being safer, Oxnard! You all deserve a spot like The Collection. read more

This is a great outdoor mall located in Oxnard just off of the 101 Freeway. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and stores to shop in. A large movie theater as well as a Target and Whole Foods. They also now have a Farmer's Market on Thursdays from 4-8 pm. Parking is plentiful with several large lots, a parking structure, and metered street parking throughout the mall. It is a nice place to visit and walk around. 40/100 read more

I was pleasantly surprised by what a cool addition this is to Oxnard. I've been watching this place evolve for the past 2 years now, so it's very nice to see it coming to life. Bit by bit, more and more is opening up. It started with a Target, an REI, and a movie theatre. Now it has a really wonderful Whole Foods, plus a whole bunch of eateries and shops, a good chunk of those still in the making. I absolutely love the fact that you can (at this point in time) drive right up to all the storefronts and park right there. Just wait, though, as this place grows and word of mouth gets going, those spots will be gone, and parking will move into the garages, but for now, it's totally awesome. I just want to say (again) how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this Whole Foods........ better than any other I've been to. read more

The Collection is a sprawling open air (outdoor) shopping mall that covers several city blocks. It's more like a shopping district rather than a shopping center as you can drive right through it on streets. There is limited street side metered parking, or you can park for free in the lot near Seaglass Way and Danvers River Street. The shopping center includes many high end and midrange stores such as Whole Foods, H & M, REI, Loft, Gap, Francesca's, Chicos, White House Black Market, Jos. A. Bank, a Century movie theater, and now a new Container Store that just opened this November. My companion and I visited The Collection looking for somewhere to eat and we weren't disappointed. There are quite a few restaurants located in this several block area including Gandolfos New York Deli, Gen (Korean BBQ), Yard House, Kabuki (Japanese), Settebello Pizzaria Napoletana, Lazy Dog, and Famous Dave's (BBQ) just to name a few. We finally settled on Gen which was a wonderful dining experience. We also visited H & M and Whole Foods on this trip. We'll definitely be road tripping here again as my friend has relatives who live nearby. Hey, they even have a Starbucks! What else could I possibly ask for? PS, we visited the first week of November and all of the Christmas decorations are up and looking quite fabulous. read more

Massage Envy will do your body/muscles good! Polish Nail have decent mani/pedi prices. 24 hour fitness super sport in the back end corner. Century RiverPark is a decent, clean movie theater. Purchase your tickets via touchscreen on the sides outside or in advance online & show your ticket through your phone. - Public restrooms are located in the middle near Painted Cabernet or Maria's Italian Kitchen. Especially if you're only shopping around instead of dining in. - Stay in the loop with upcoming events, shows, & concerts via Facebook & Instagram. Parking: Structure behind Century & REI across 24hr fitness. Meters are now charging. I do not park by the meters because free parking is surrounded by the entire collection. Walk a little! With new shops just opening and more to come in Fall 2013, The Collection is West Ventura County's brand new shopping, dining, and entertainment hot spot. The bulk of this outdoor shopping center includes major stores like Target, Whole Foods, REI, and a movie theater. Recent restaurant openings include Gandolfo's NY Deli, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, Panera Bread, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Menchies Frozen Yogurt, Color Me Mine and Massage Envy. There's also a Gen Korean BBQ joint & a Yard House where you can get your drink on! This Fall, there are plans of opening an H&M and Ulta beauty. The entire shopping center is really pretty. They have public art pieces throughout the center from nationally and internationally recognized artists like colorful ceramic tile murals, sculptures, and murals that add to the summery fresh feel of the whole place. Aside from provide a place to shop and eat, the creators behind this place really seem to want to bring more life to the area and offer community events. Ok, I don't live in Oxnard, but I always go to Los angeles and pass this plaza(or you could call it shopping/eating mall). I really like their restaurants collection and also wholefood. It is really nice for family (road trip to LA, I am from SF area) to stop and get some ice-cream or juice or tea/cookie from wholefood. Or could eat in those restaurants too. Very clean and easy access from freeway. Whoever developer build this, is wonderful. I wish you could build something like that in bay area( bay area's mall is terrible in looking, like in the 1970). read more

This is a nice addition to Oxnard. I see what they are trying to do, bring in a different crowd and change the "look" of Oxnard, but it is still Oxnard nonetheless. The apartments and the condos that sit close by are very nice! I wouldn't mind living there? They are trying to make this place like a Disneyland/Santa Monica feel. You go OXNARD! I haven't been back for over 3 years and now Oxnard has its very own "town center" shopping center. What a cool place to visit if you happen to be in the area! It is a perfect location between the Outlet and Santa Barbara for shopping. The newness and layout is pretty impressive with a big Whole Foods conveniently located among the hottest stores in the area. Love Ulta and their H&M! Plenty of street and private lot parking in this collection of restaurants, bars, major retailers, boutiques, fashion-forward brands and outfitters. And love that it's all outdoors! Overall, great development and addition for the entire area. And they even have a theater and a Farmer's Market on-site. Add to that the adorable housing community that is walking distance if you so choose to live here, you wouldn't even need to use your car. Imagine that. read more

Yay, Oxnard!! This is such a great place to come and leisurely walk around on your day off. It offers ample parking space all throughout. Plenty of stores and eateries as well. Perfect for the family to enjoy. There's something for everyone. It has been filling with many more stores since they opened. It now houses the GAP, Victoria's Secret, Loft, charming Charlie, REI, the container store, Ulta, these are just a few. Definitely way better than the pacific view mall in Ventura. It also offers many different restaurants. You want Italian? Japanese? Crave fish? A good hamburger? Korean? Ice cream or frozen yogurt? You can definitely expect your palate to be satisfied. Oh, and course there's a Starbucks too. After you have stuffed yourself, take walk around this place or take your kids to the play area ( specially during the holidays ) Mind you, it gets busy during the holidays and major events (yay) and during weekends but it doesn't give you that " I can't breath, there's too many people" feel since it's so open. read more

We live near by and the Collection has some good restaurants with great happy hours. We go there often. There is a very small farmers market which I hope will get bigger. The movie theatre is nice and has discount day on Tuesday. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the parking on the Whole Foods side is crazy full all The time. If you go during a busy time you are going to be doing some walking. I used to be a member of massage envy and gave it up because the parking was such a pain. read more

The Collection is a new shopping area in the River Park area of Oxnard, CA, and is closely located to Ventura, CA. The Collection is a beautiful, outdoor alternative to a multi-level, indoor mall. The best way I can describe The Collection is a neighborhood of stores, with multiple streets. There is a movie theater, a grocery store (Whole Foods), Starbucks, Menchies and a number of restaurants (such as Settebello's, Famous Dave's, Yard House & others) and stores new to this area. There is a multi-level H & M and an REI. There are a number of new stores and restaurants that will be added. The Collection is not finished as of now. Just included is also a state of the art, 24 Hr Fitness, Super Sport. Since, it is the new and trendy place for people to come, expect a slight traffic and parking jam in and around The Collection. Its a beautiful place to roam around on weekends when the days are beautiful. During the summer, there are many festivals and events. Lately I am trying to come here on mornings when parking spots are not full, and everybody is more relaxed. Love, love, love this strip mall!! They have updated it so much it reminds me of fashion valley. They have so many stores and restaurants to choose from and it is well Kept up. I love coming here when I visit my family. We always walk around to just look and when we want to shop we do that to. Ha! When it warms up they have a little kiddie water park they can play at. Love this outdoor mall located in Oxnard! Anyone from Oxnard knows there really isn't much out this way. But this outdoor mall has an awesome "collection" of places. It's huge, new, and super clean. Not only that, they have a huge selection of places to eat, from fast food, to sit down restaurants, to your higher end restaurants. They also have plenty of dessert options. The fiancé and I always head to the collection while he's out here on military orders. Our tradition is to always do Korean BBQ and Lazy Dog. There are plenty of parking spaces but fair warning, on the weekends this place like any other mall can get super hectic during peak hours. I suggest if you're headed here to try to work around those peak hours. Either arrive super early or a little later to avoid waiting in long lines (if you're here to grub). Otherwise, the stores are just fine. Parking may be a bit harder but if you're willing to walk, you'll be just fine. read more

The Collection is a definite positive addition to Oxnard, and its evident in how popular it is. As any big shopping complex the parking lot is a bit of nightmare, but that has more to do with negligent drivers than the parking lot itself. You have your choice of many popular stores, Whole Foods, Ulta, The Loft, REI, and so on, and restaurants such as The Yard House, Lazy Dog, Daves BBQ, and Gen Korean BBQ and many, many more. Now we have an awesome Comedy Club Levity Live, drawing big name comedians, and a new Copper Blue's Pub debuting Sept 9th. If you are looking for something to do, check the collection website, they keep it up to date and often have outdoor events for family, friends, and kids.
