Love, love, love this strip mall!! They have updated it so much it reminds me of fashion valley. They have so many stores and restaurants to choose from and it is well Kept up. Love this outdoor mall located in Oxnard! Anyone from Oxnard knows there really isn't much out this way. But this outdoor mall has an awesome "collection" of places. It's huge, new, and super clean. Not only that, they have a huge selection of places to eat, from fast food, to sit down restaurants, to your higher end restaurants. They also have plenty of dessert options. The fiancé and I always head to the collection while he's out here on military orders. Our tradition is to always do Korean BBQ and Lazy Dog. There are plenty of parking spaces but fair warning, on the weekends this place like any other mall can get super hectic during peak hours. I suggest if you're headed here to try to work around those peak hours. Either arrive super early or a little later to avoid waiting in long lines (if you're here to grub). Otherwise, the stores are just fine. Parking may be a bit harder but if you're willing to walk, you'll be just fine. read more

The Collection is a definite positive addition to Oxnard, and its evident in how popular it is. As any big shopping complex the parking lot is a bit of nightmare, but that has more to do with negligent drivers than the parking lot itself. You have your choice of many popular stores, Whole Foods, Ulta, The Loft, REI, and so on, and restaurants such as The Yard House, Lazy Dog, Daves BBQ, and Gen Korean BBQ and many, many more. Now we have an awesome Comedy Club Levity Live, drawing big name comedians, and a new Copper Blue's Pub debuting Sept 9th. If you are looking for something to do, check the collection website, they keep it up to date and often have outdoor events for family, friends, and kids. The Collection... a comedian at the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club said it was funny that Oxnard named a shopping center after something most of their residents are trying to avoid. "Collections" yeah, I laughed. But more seriously, this place is just what Oxnard needed. A high end, right off the freeway shopping center complete with nightlife. The best part is the crowd it attracts. With so much traffic you're bound to bump into someone you know, but at the same time there seems to be another crowd of people here you feel you'll never see again, like when you're in Vegas. Whether they be LA/SB commuters who settled in the River Park neighborhood or patrons from neighboring cities, they are what set The Collection apart from any other shopping center in Oxnard. Here's what my wife and I have tried and can recommend: -A Five Guys Burger -Asada Burrito from Whole Foods -A girl's night out at the Painted Cabernet -The "Buddies" meal from Famous Dave's -Soy Ramen Soup from Kabuki -An interesting date at Gen Korean BBQ (you cook your own food) -A hot pastrami sandwich from Gandolfo's -Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Ripped Potatoes (snack menu at Yard House) -Lazy Dog outdoor patio for large group dining (just avoid the Chinese menu offerings) -Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, anything The movie theater here is also really nice and has a "pick your seat" option on most new releases. Only con-The flow of traffic through the main entrance was not well planned. You'll need to learn the layout and use the other entrances during high traffic times. read more

The Collection at Riverpark has been such a great addition to Oxnard. I wonder every time I come here where all these people used to go before this shopping center was built. Every day, specially the weekend, the parking is full, and traffic sucks. But I am so happy to have this in our city. There is a place for everyone for every age from shopping to restaurants or just watching a movie. The Annex which is scheduled to open this spring will definitely be a hit, but also bring in larger crowds. With plenty of shops still to be opened and many more prospective stores, the negative thing I'd say about the Collection, is there should've been another parking structure, or at least made the one now more stories to accommodate the influx of visitors. I admit that I frequent this Center about 5 days a week. Whether it's from visiting Whole Foods for a quick lunch, to Century Theaters to watch the latest movies, or eating at Yardhouse to enjoy their Happy Hour, or checking out Levity Live catch some laughs, you can absolutely make a day out of this shopping center. It has so much to offer, and even more exciting new stores that are bound to open by this year. This is a fun spot to meet up with friends or family over food or drinks. read more

I love the Collection and all of the wonderful additions they have been making to it. I've been coming since it opened - when it was a ghost town and parking was easy. Now, there's always a traffic jam trying to get in and finding parking can be awful. It's always worse during the weekend evenings since there are a couple bars, movie theater and a comedy club. BTW, the place is surrounded with free parking. There are meter options for a fee but I wouldn't recommend that at all. This is a great place to hang out with friends and family of all ages as well as a place to get your shopping done! They have everything from a Whole Foods to a Victoria's Secret. There's a variety of different restaurants as well! During the holiday season, they decorate the place with lights and other holiday decorations making it perfect for an evening stroll! I have no issue with the choice of shops and the quaint way they have made a shopping mall look like a small city with streets and fake stop signs and parking meters you really don't have to pay for as you can't get a "ticket" from them anyway. Here's my annoyance and it has turned off many of my friends as well who swear they just can't go back: There are speakers all over the place in the outdoor areas and along the side walks. You just can not get away from them to have your own thoughts in your own mind, or a conversation with your friends. Not only is this speaker system everywhere and loud, but it plays what many of us better educated and better heeled shoppers would find juvenile choice of music, even worse, they play annoying advertisements about what to buy and where to get it. Too bad, I just can't hang out there to do my shopping. It is very annoying. This place makes you feel like sheep headed for pasture. read more

The best part about The Collection is that parking rules are completely optional. One store employee told me she always parks in the clean fuel parking spaces - there is no enforcement of the parking signs. I have observed the same thing - the parking signs are only suggestions. read more

If you live in Santa Barbara and wanna go to real mall and escape Paseo Nuevo, I'd recommend The Collection. It's a 30 minute drive from SB and has everything you need. Rather than Korean bbq we have in SB that's very small and slow, the one they have in the collection is huge, pretty fast depending on the time of day, and serves great food. They also have the Cheesecake Factory which is really nice haha. I'd definitely recommend visiting this mall if you're in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area. read more

The Collection is a great place for strolling the connected streets for great dining, shopping, etc. I like how it feels like a small downtown, while keeping up with the community feel of RiverPark. There is simply nothing like this place in Ventura County, and to think that it will only get better with the addition of the 24 Hour Fitness Sports Complex, as well as more restaurants and shops. The Collection is safe. I have yet to witness any crime of any sort. A family can come here and enjoy their day without any fear of anything bad happening. The Collection is the up and coming mall for Oxnard within walking distance of Riverpark. So many great shops including Target, Wholefoods, Yard House and many many more. During the week this place is great but on Saturday afternoons this place gets packed and for some reason whoever designed the collection was not prepared for the amount of traffic that it might get because the entrance is swamped. This is a great outdoor mall with quality shops. Aside from being a well kept and new mall, it is also very dog-friendly with a large grassy area complete with doggie bags next to a children's playground behind Target. I usually take my puppy Barrett to Lazy Dog when I am off during the week to spoil him. The traffic isn't too bad getting in and out of the mall. The AMC theatre is nice as well. 4 stars only because they aren't finished building all the shops. read more

Shopping sucks for the most part , but great food options. Weekends are full of teenagers that are always getting into trouble. They have broken many of the toddlers play yard equipment. Very annoying when you are trying to spend time with little ones and you have groups of teenagers useing lewd language and takeing over space in the play yard. The City of Oxnard. The city where everywhere I go I'm asked, "You're from where?" Oxnard, the city between Santa Barbara and Malibu. The most exciting shopping center that was built was the new center they built on the old Esplanade Mall lot. (Remember? The Esplanade Mall? Yeah you know, you fellow Oxnardians) I grew up in Oxnard and I've seen so many parts of the city change and grow. I now live in the Bay Area, but when I go back to visit Oxnard, it's amazing to see the changes. Now today, The Collection has surpassed any of the centers they've built in Oxnard. The Collection has added more character to my old childhood home. It's amazing to see The Collection pop up from what was an empty field years ago! The center has a great design aesthetic. It's a great center full of different restaurants, some great stores (the Gap & H&M are coming soon), the Century theater moved from Ventura to its new home here, plus a Target and a Whole Foods. It's just a great collection! Pun intended... I especially love that there's a Whole Foods in Oxnard now. I've always loved WFM and I'm happy to see that they've found a place in Oxnard. This is definitely an all in one, shop, eat, dine & play center. You can come here, get some shopping done from the smaller stores, need something for the house from Target, well there you go. After, have a bite to eat at the many restaurants, from Korean BBQ to burgers & something for everyone in between. Then end your night with a movie. You can't go wrong coming here to the collection. I love whole foods an their food selection from building your own lunch/sald tacos sushi an pizza along with a smootie/Juice bar an lets not for get the sweet treats. The Movie theater is just down the way an hey many more resturants to choose from. Its very family friendly during the day time an i love the special events they hold where our kids can come on in also like the octoberfest, i may not drink but all the yummy food an decor/setup an the area set up for kids was what really made the event for me an kids. Dont be fooled theres definitly something for everyone. Now since wagon wheel is closed maybe they may consider adding a "Bowling alley with video games for the whole fam ala "Dave n Busters" you can say but family. A mall is a mall. This one is laid out more like a small village, which makes it feel more inviting. Car traffic is allowed throughout which means you can drive right up to a particular store in most cases. They have metered parking throughout which is great, but a major failure is that the meters only accept coins. It's 2019 folks, come on. read more

Security here is REALLY bad!!! Don't ever get hit here cuz security won't help you. Called several times and have asked the manager Juan to call me and nothing. I have a $7000+ bill from a hit and run accident and they don't care enough to check their cameras--- so why have cameras all over???? Dumb and unsafe at this place. I've heard similar stories from friends and friends of friends. Soon this place will go to the waste-side because they will let themselves get overrun by unsavory activity-- once people know this the crime rate there will just go up since security does nothing to keep the place safe! read more

Probably the Best shopping center in Oxnard. Every time we go there is another set of stores or restaurants that just opened up. All the stores are new and clean. In front of Lazy dog they have those water fountain that you can run around in and on the opposite side they have a large park for events. It's pretty cool and unique how you can drive right through it. It does get crowded here though. read more

I enjoy this shopping center. There are many great stores, restaurants, and one great movie theater!

First off, the Collection is a fabulous place and much needed in this community. No gripes except from my experience today...Visited the food court at the Oxnard Collection today... super cute with a very cool hipster vibe. Lots of great vendors inside. Very Seattle-esque. HOWEVER... unlike the Pacific. Northwest who is very environmentally conscious, this place did not have one single recycle bin in the entire food court. Where we ate provided very heavy duty but disposable dishes that had to sadly go in the trash. The trash was overfilled with plastic containers and cups!!! I'm in awe that in this day and age, in So Cal, businesses are so inane so as to waste so much! And we go after the poor straw? That's like a person going on a diet and first committing to cutting out breath mints from their diet. I don't want to digress and really hope management reads this review and remedies this extremely wasteful practice. I'd love to go back but won't until They practice some environmental responsibility. PLEASE provide recycle bins in your food court!!!! read more

It's a bit difficult to review this place in general because it's constantly evolving and growing. The reality is that it's been such a positive addition to the city of Oxnard. It's new, the apps and restaurants provide a well needed diversity to the city, and it is a great way to spend the time. The only real issue I have are the roadways. They have silly streets and I enforced parking meters that are poorly planned. The parking lots can be a distance from respective shops, but once to navigate the space, it's nothing you can't get used to. read more

Oh wait, that may be my main attraction in The Collection, but there is so much more to go to. As mentioned, it's outdoor so you may need a jacket. So many stores to choose from (Target, Ulta, Lane Bryant, Whole Foods, REI, Container Store, H&M, Forever 21..etc.), Massage Envy, Starbucks and a great choice of restaurants (Larsons, Lazy Dogs etc..) Plus, a sweet new spot with more restaurants in the Annex. I am not sure my stay in Oxnard would be complete without the collection. I would have to drive to Thousand Oaks to get the items I find here. The only con, during Friday to Sunday, parking can be miserable. There is a parking garage by REI. Oh and avoid The Collection during holiday events or concerts. The entrance can be congested so go to the back opening. read more

Just walked around this place for the first time and I was absolutely blown away at the variety of stores they have!!! I've been going to Thousand Oaks to go to Urban Outfitters, it's nice to know they have it here! They also have an amazing selection of restaurants both high end and mediocre. The food court is AWESOME, very nicely decorated and great food choice. Right now it's decorated for Christmas, so there's a huge tree in the middle of the Collection and it's beautiful. Saw lots of people taking pictures in front of it. There's snowflake lights hanging over the streets. Very festive. Great place to take kids to walk around or for a date night or for day time shopping with friends! Enjoy! read more

This is starting to become more and more of a disappointment. Why can't the people running this place take some ideas from San Diego?! This could be so better than what it has become. I still can't get over all the bad tasting chain restaurants that were put it here. Gross. No general entertainment (Toby Keith's doesn't count - terrible frozen food & country music only. Does nothing for us who don't listen to it.) Nothing open past 10:00pm except yard house and their dirty drink cups and nasty food. Nothing there for twenty-thirty year olds. Awesome addition to the area! I live in Thousand Oaks, & I noticed this place on a recent day trip up to Santa Barbara. It looked like a lot of progress has been made, so we decided to swing by on our way home later that evening to check it out. We stopped by H&M & REI & walked around a bit. There was ample parking, & everything was clean & well-lit. There are also a lot of dining options that we wanted to check out at a later date. I like this place because it seems like it might be a decent alternative to going to LA or Santa Barbara in the future if you're just looking for shopping & walking around.
