At 41, I really appreciate boutiques that understand style has no age limit, and Tiki Girl…read moreabsolutely gets it. This is one of those rare shops where women at any stage of life can find high quality pieces that feel comfortable, effortless, and truly wearable for everyday life. Most items fall in the $30-$75 range, which makes supporting local feel accessible and realistic. I have made a commitment over the past few years to support local businesses instead of big corporations, and I am genuinely grateful we have a shop like this in Ventura, especially as so many retail spaces are disappearing. The vibe is cozy, cottagecore meets laid back beach town energy, perfectly fitting for downtown Ventura. Warm, inviting, and thoughtfully curated without trying too hard. The kind of place where everything works together, which is honestly a little dangerous. Ashley and Melanie are absolute gems. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in helping you find something that feels like you. Never pushy, never salesy. You can tell they care about the shop and the experience, and it shows. They also carry a small mini-me collection, Sin Min products that smell amazing and feel great, plus jewelry, accessories, and small home decor and stationery pieces that make perfect gifts. The horchata lip balm alone is worth stopping in for. Whether you're shopping in person on Main Street or online, Tiki Girl is a solid go-to when you want something cute, comfortable, and very Ventura. Always support local. Your closet will thank you.

Absolute Terrible experience at Megacon Orlando 2026!!! Terrible customer service!!! Rude and…read moreunprofessional!!! Quoted 47$ for a blouse by one attendant. Nothing labeled or priced. After browsing, I was trying to check out and what I'm assuming is the owner approached me rudely barking "That will be 57$!" I calmly say "the other attendant stated it was 47$" the owner literally shouts "WELL YOU'VE BEEN MISQUOTED!" in the nastiest tone! The attendant right there confused and startled stated "i thought it was 47$?" Shouting over me the owner states "ITS BEEN 57$ FOR 3 YEARS NOW!" I immediately was put off by the overall interaction as it was clear they were creating pricing on the spot. The demeanor of the woman owner was disgustingly rude to me and her coworker. I would have been more than willing to purchase the garment but the blatant pricing on the spot, weird scamming selling tactics and her disgusting customer service made me decide against supporting this business. I immediately left! Also Just like previous yelp reviews below As i was browsing a male attendant had the same weird upselling demeanor, reassuring customers must try on the corsets and garments to get "fitted" before purchase quoting the overbust corsets "starting at 190$." I refused to try it on as i did not want to go through a fitting process. Im assuming after the "Fitting" they would have quoted a higher price as he was very vague with how much the one i wanted would actually be. THEY WILL SCAM YOU WITH RANDOM ON THE SPOT PRICING OR RANDOM UPSELLING QUOTES LAST MINUTE!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They will be at Bay City Ren Faire next this month. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! I know I WILL NOT and will spread the word!!!

I'm so glad I did! The shop is small, and honestly, I was half-expecting to be ignored or treated poorly since I wasn't with my wife at the time. But I couldn't have been more wrong. The lady helping me was super friendly, made a few great recommendations, and I ended up leaving with two high-quality shirts at a reasonable price. Next time I'm at Fluid State, I'll definitely stop by again to grab another shirt, and maybe a dress for my wife too. I'm so glad these mom-and-pop shops are still around!

Last night, my family and I were heading back to L.A. from a few days up in Santa Barabara…read morefarm/wine country and wanted badly to stop at VENTIKI in Ventura for a bite and a much needed cocktail for Mom & Dad (after some gnarly traffic caused by accidents on Highway 154 as well as the 101 which was closed down completely for hours ‍) but apparently Ventiki is 21+ after their Happy Hour so we started walking down the pedestrian zone of Main Street. I'd never actually stopped in Ventura before and much to my delight, we ran into ALOHA ON MAIN just a few steps away. What a great store, perfect for any of us tiki crazed peeps. I honestly thought to myself this had to have been a joke or something, what, with not getting in to Ventiki and then steps away, there's a killer tiki store. I haven't won the lotto yet, but look at this dumb luck right here! The friendly gentleman running the store was nice, well informed and very patient with my Autistic son. He also mentioned that my "Book of Tiki" that I've had for 24 years has become quite the collector's item. Who knew?? Prices seemed to be very fair to this reborn tiki collector and I picked up these two awesome decanters and the Poached Poet mug, all from Tiki Farm. I'd had my eyes on the Elvira and Poet for some time. The Sven Kirsten decanter was just too cool to pass up and was priced fair. Lots of great art, mugs and clothes. Check 'em out: https://www.instagram.com/aloha_on_main/ Ventiki, by the way, looked like an awesome spot too. I took a quick look around and liked the small, cozy bar, ambiance and outdoor "lanai" with plentiful seating. I recommend a stop at both on your next California road trip!
