We got there about 10 minutes before they opened. And the line went around the block. Which is about what I expected after seeing the number of comments on their social media ads for it. We waited, for over an hour. They came out after an hour and informed everyone that they had no boys stuff left, but still had girls, and were working on refilling the bins. When we got to the front, after over an hour in line, we were informed they were sold out of everything, except for 3 or 4 pieces of size 6/8 , but we were welcome to shop the normal priced items inside. As I was leaving I heard numerous people talking about leaving negative reviews. I let the staff outside ,who'd let us know they were sold out, know that they might want to issue an apology to prevent a flood of negative reviews that I'd heard being mentioned. Another woman stepped up and said she was the mother of the girl I was speaking to, and if I had something negative to say, I could say it to her. I repeated what I said, and made sure to say I was not trying to be rude, and I apologize if I was coming off that way. That no one was upset they ran out, just at the lack of updates, and that they might consider apologizing before they get negative reviews. She snappily told me that if I needed to understand that the owner has an injured arm and a husband with cancer, and that I needed to understand that before writing a review. I'm not sure how that is related to the issues everyone experienced, rather than just trying to guilt me out of a review. Again, I'm not upset that they were busy or ran out. It was the lack of updates for the people who spent a large amount of time waiting only to be turned away with no warning or apology. And I have heard from other people that they were also snapped at by the owner and staff when voicing their frustrations. An apology of some sort would have made all the difference. I hope they learn from this, not only on how to run a sale, but how to treat their customers.

They had a little bit of everything for almost everyone and any age. Well, maybe not for infants at least i don't recall seeing anything for infants. The found the prices on some of the merchandise to be reasonable. Some of the clothing were on the pricey side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to support local and am willing to pay but the quality and uniqueness has to be there. I asked the cashier, who I think was the owner, where I might find 24-month clothes for boys and she directed me to the right areas. I ended up getting Angel Dear bear print pajamas and a set of Sol Angeles sweatshirt and joggers. Check-out was easy and fast and the woman helping me was friendly. Both the pajamas and the sweats are in heavy rotation on the baby, and I liked the Sol Angeles set so much that I bought an identical one for myself (I wear it for days at a time). We look very cute in our matching outfits--he looks extremely cute and I look like a grown woman in sweats, but it averages out. I'll probably be back to Nurture Cottage next time I'm in Montecito, and I expect to find more nice clothes to dress my little model of a boy.
