Recently, we purchased a fireplace from Lowe's and opted for home delivery. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the start. On delivery day, one of the boxes was missing. We immediately called the store, and the employee we spoke with told us the box hadn't arrived yet and that nothing could be done until it was in their possession. The next day, we called again for an update--only to be told by a different employee that the missing box had actually arrived at the store the afternoon of our delivery, before our initial call. No one contacted us to provide an update, and the lack of communication was disappointing. On top of that, the first employee we spoke with came across as dismissive and uninterested in helping resolve the issue. Overall, this was a poor customer service experience. Until this store improves its communication and takes more responsibility for delivery issues, I would not recommend making large purchases here. read more

Warning about appliance orders and refunds at Lowe's I want to share my experience so others don't end up in the same situation. I ordered a Bosch dishwasher at the end of February with a delivery scheduled almost 3 weeks later. On the day of delivery, I was told the unit was damaged and could not be delivered. The next available delivery date was pushed out nearly 5 weeks total. I canceled the order in-store on March 12 and was given a receipt -- but NOT a standard refund receipt. I questioned this multiple times (on three separate visits), and each time I was told this is "how refunds are handled" for appliances purchased with a Lowe's credit card. So I am now stuck:* No product delivered* No refund issued* Payment due approaching on my credit card This clearly shows a breakdown in Lowe's refund process, especially when financing is involved. Buyers beware:If something goes wrong with your appliance order, the refund process may not be straightforward -- and you may be left chasing your own money while facing billing deadlines. Shopped at the Lowes in St Augustine, Fl. WARNING, they have placed a scanner just above where you bag the items you are buying in the self check out. If you use the hand scanner the second scanner will charge you a senond time. I bought several door locks it added two extra locks to my bill. Confronted the clerk, that person thought a lot of people were paying for some items more than once and not knowing that was happening. Defective Product My name is Randy L. I purchased an Amana Top Loader He, Model NT4519JW, from store #3238 in St Augustine, Fl 32086 on March 28, 2024. It is now July 18, 2025, and my machine has stopped working. I did not purchase an extended warranty because I had just bought the machine. Here it is barely 4 months passed the 1-year, and the defective machine has stopped working. I checked all the usual reasons and found a few things that caused me concern. First when I checked the back panel, I found only half of the screws holding it were missing. When I went to retrieve the Service Manual which was supposed to be inside the unit's cabinet it was missing. This leads me to believe that the machine had been opened before my purchase. When I went to the store to get help, I was confronted with a Dep Manager, Mr. Mohammed, who first asked about an extended warranty. I asked to speak to the store manager and was told "she was not there". He reluctantly went to talk to someone who was sitting and talking to another associate. The individual never introduced as the assistant manager did not give me his name. Once again, he asked about the extended warranty. One again I explained the situation on why I did have one. He stated that without an extension there is nothing that can be done. When I asked for a repair service he stated, "he cannot do that either as to Policy". This playing the "Policy "card is not an example of customer service. When I asked for the District Manager he refused and offered the Customer Service number. The product failed less than 4 months from the date of purchase, 28 Mar 2024. This is an unusual situation and the standard "get out of jail free card, company policy card" should be tempered by customer service. You sold me a product that you convinced was a highly reliable product. However, this is not the case. To be responsible for a bad product should be a priority. Having worked in retail and customer service for over 35 years, I know how important it is to take care of the customer. To achieve a positive attitude sometimes means to do the right thing. I am 75 years old and do not have the resources to repair or replace this defective product. My wife and I are having to deal with her Lung Cancer which has put an enormous strain on our finances. Now I have the added financial strain of having to go to a laundromat. Because you sold me that this was a reliable product and I expected it to last longer than a year. The right thing to do is to repair or preferably replace the product. read more

The fellow who took the order did not double check to know that Pella doesn't make impact sliders. After years of writing orders you would think he should know the ins and outs of the products he is selling. The Jeld-wen people are not cooperative either. A cluster F. Pinch Me! The new Lowe's is finally open! Thank you Lowe's for opening a store in Saint Augustine! We no longer have to drive 25 miles to get to a store! Woot! As with any Lowe's, they have all your needs and if they don't, you can see if you can order it. This is a new store, so it is very well stocked and the staff is super friendly. We are still buying things for our new home and they are very eager to help. But other than a few minor things, we did not need to purchase anything big there yet since we had been going to a Jacksonville location. Right now the parking is packed during the day for the most part, which means the store is busy. If you need something or want to take a look around then I suggest going in the evening right now. For those of you that did not monitor the building of the store like I did and do not know where it is located...it is right off Hwy 1. I purchased a washing machine a few months ago and a ride on lawnmower just the other day. Both times I ended up at the customer service counter in the front. Everyone is always very nice and knowledgeable. It's crazy how it's so hard to find customer service at the customer service desk sometimes. Well, in all my years on this earth, I honestly can't remember an employee, much less a supposed manager, being more rude and unprofessional as Rhonda at this location a couple hours ago. You could see in her body language as she walked up, this wasn't going to be good. Well, it wasn't. She didn't want to hear anything, she just wanted to rattle off, turn, and storm off as 4 adults stood there in disbelief. Luckily, Marc, another employee and hopefully a manager or soon will be, walked up moments after this all happened. He reiterated some of what Rhonda blasted us with BUT was calm, professional, and guess what???? HELPFUL! Imagine that Lowes! Marc got everything taken care of and even with a smile on his face. He apologized for our experience. As a side note, as we were checking out, we saw Ms Nasty Tude, vest off, and storming out of the store. We assume she was told to take the rest of the day off and hope she was merely having a very bad day. A day she unfortunately decided to take out on customers. In 30-plus years of purchasing appliances I can truly say this has been the worst experience. Nothing was handled correctly after the first dishwasher I purchased died on the very first use. At least 12 phone calls, a visit to the store and several emails later I am still charged for things I was told would be refunded to me. Add credit card fraud to Lowe's list of unacceptable business practices. Delivery department, no record, store-connected back to delivery person, referred back to store. Yes I had the name of first manager when quizzed on that. My call went to hold until I hung up and called back. Finally someone took control, told me they'd call delivery. Delivery rep called 1/2 hour later. Washer not coming until tomorrow. 3 hours to get an answer. Lowe's is a pretty complicated bureaucracy. However, great place to shop if you can walk out with your purchase in hand. read more

The sales representative helped me look at all My options. When I really couldn't decide, he even humored with me as I Face Time John for confirmation of the tar. This Lowe's is a little over 1 year old but it's immaculately Clean. There's a sign outside saying Hiring but the store is running over with staff. It's a beautiful place. Whether it's electrical, plumbing, a piece of wood or whatever, I usually end up going to HD to finish my order. This has forced me to just start out at HD and not bother with these guys. Before I switched back to HD, on 2 occasions I actually found the item that I was looking for and took it to the employee that said they didn't carry it. I went to Lowe's for my carpet install because I trusted the name. My sales guy was helpful and patient and helped me stay within my budget. When the time came for the install, they ripped out my whole condo(I hear you're supposed to do one room at a time) before they found the carpet to be defective. Fine. Except then I had carpet racks and staples and my kiddo kept stepping on them. Management at Lowe's never contacted me, though the installers said they would. When I called For suggestions about the tacks, I was told management would get back to me. They never did. The installers did give me an $80 gift card for rugs to cover the tacks. The installers called me. Lowe's NEVER did. A month later, my new carpet arrived. I was so happy that I would be able to walk on my floors without rubber soles after weeks and weeks of a messed up home that I couldn't entertain in or relax in. Guess what? Apparently nobody does a quality check because the installers rolled it out and again it was defective. Of course, management at Lowe's was not available when I went back to see what I should do. The lower management and my sales guy did the best they could, but couldn't get me anything within a few weeks except cheap carpet, which they didn't even offer a discount on... I got my money back with a promise of a follow up from management. MANAGEMENT NEVER CALLED. Long story short, I went to the local guys I should have gone to first. They had quality carpet in stock, felt bad about my story, and installed it within three days. I'm shocked at Lowe's lack of concern and follow up... I won't be back. The floor people are awesome, but I've never heard of a manager with such lack of concern for customers.
