Who doesn't love Costco even on a busy weekend!! The atmosphere is always great, and you can't beat the $1.50 hot dog and drink combo or the $2 slice of pizza. The aisles are consistently clean, products are well displayed, and most items are easy to grab. There are always plenty of employees around if you need help, and the free samples are a big bonus--honestly, you could walk in hungry and leave full. Prices are fair, and checkout times have definitely improved over the years. They take Visa as their main form of payment now, and the customer service desk is always helpful with returns or questions. The only downside is that sometimes you find something you really like, go back a month later, and it's gone. Inventory can be a little inconsistent, but usually there's a similar product to try. Overall, still one of the best places to shop. read more

I came here to grab milk....guess what? I wound up leaving with additional items. Happens every time. When we arrived it was crowded, but manageable. We were greeted by staff. Then we started looking around. We headed over to the clothes section and noticed they had boys sweatshirts and sweatpants on sale, so I got my kiddo a set. It was good quality and thicker material. We then continued to look around. I so a few items I liked, but decided not to get myself clothes. Then we walked around to get some coffee pods because they were $8 off. We got our gallon of milk. After we checked out, we wound up heading over to the food counter, where my kiddo wanted a hotdog, I got a slice of pizza, and my husband got a pizza. They have the best deals in town, I mean $1.50 for a hotdog and soda, you can't go wrong. read more

I am new to joining the world of Costco and so far I really like it. I have not tried that many things from Costco yet, but the things I have tried have been far superior to any other big box store. I do love, trying all the samples of things and then helping me decide what I should buy. I also love how easy the app is to use. The selection isn't huge, but I can always find what I want. It just might not be the brand I was looking for. I do wish that they would space out the samples a little bit more. They all seem to be in one side of the store which causes some congestion sometimes, and I also wish that they would give samples of more things that were on their deals each week. Overall I get the hype behind spending a day shopping around Costco and I'm excited to make this a regular habit for me. My only real dislike of this Costco is they don't really have a good book section and as a reader, I have always heard about the deals you can get on Costco books. read more

Found a new Wild Alaskan Salmon item which has 6 fillets and looks very nutritious. They have a variety of items here that we do not see at Gate Parkway anymore, like a 24-pack bottle of Yuengling Beer. The self-service Kiosk was quick for checkout. We had been driving to Town Center and the west side from our home in St Johns for years. Normal Costco run was $300-500 or much more since we were buying food for our church dinners. Since we can no longer volunteer while taking care of my BIL we still manage to visit more than once a week. Gas prices are usually the biggest draw especially when I did not WFH. Now I work a hybrid schedule driving 2 days to Riverside. They have a vast array of fresh produce, seafood, meat and chicken. We also buy OTC meds and vitamins. They have every size of trash bags, zip locks and paper products. Not COVID crazy amounts since they are one exit away. For Christmas we will be getting two televisions on sale. One ours no longer works and is out of warranty and the other freezes. Prices in electronics have come down. I replaced my 14 yo laptop last year. Prices and warranties are great. I bought towels and sheets as they are often on sale and very durable. Taking care of someone means tons of laundry every week. Stop by for a chicken, hot dog and drink after you fill up. I'm sure you will save lots of money on other shopping. read more

On my first Costco trip as a new member I chose to come down to this location instead of risking my life in the St. John's Town Center. Thank goodness we did. The parking lot was packed but we were still able to find a spot pretty close to the entrance. Anything and everything is sold in here. The items that stood out the most for be were the 3lb Pumpkin Pies for $5.99, or was it $6.99? Doesn't matter that's a good deal. I saw the Maybelline Color Stay Latte lip color 3pack for $20. One alone costs almost $10. Perhaps the best thing I got is the Seven Sundays Sunflower Cereal. Sounds healthy, tastes healthy, but I couldn't stop snacking on it. Yup, I'm a fan. read more

Drove 45 minutes to look at their jewelry. 3 employees were visiting at the jewelry counter. One, stood directly in front of where i needed to look. She turned, looked at me, walked closer to her co-workers, kept visiting. None of them asked if i needed help. I left . When they first opened, my husband and i said, " wow, their employees are trained well. So friendly and helpful, I hope this isn't because they just opened and it stays this way. This is a review of the gas portion of Costco. We stopped enroute going north on I-95. The gas pumps were not that busy when we pulled in. They are set away from the main store. Normally, we would have gotten gas at Buc-ee's as we'd planned to stop there. But I'm so glad I saw this Costco. As it turned out, the gas prices here were almost 50 cents (!!!) less at Costco compared to Buc-ee's. That's a huge savings. So here's the lesson: if you're a Costco member, search for their locations as you travel. It's a big difference in prices! read more

Sab contractors for Mini blind services. I just spent $4000 on many blind services through Costco and the company was not only late. They installed the wrong blinds that I ordered. The owner is unavailable for Florida blinds who cost subcontracted to purchase with. A very unprofessional and became political. When I refused to assign the final paperwork, say it was my fault. My wife and I ordered blinds from the owner which he stated would be blacked out blinds. Meaning we have the option to make the room go dark or light sunlight. He also sold it on a beige color that would be seen from the outside window. When I approached Costco, they listen to my concern, but I have done nothing. I am now in the process of contacting corporate office. I'm still out $4000 and minus it's the blinds I ordered. Buyers beware of Costco and they're so contractors. read more

We are Costco member for soooooo many years. Had an executive membership for a while, but why pay even more to buy stuff as a customer. I buy quite a lot and fill up my tank as well every time. What is refuse to understand is why I have to wait till 10am to go inside. You open at 9 and the secondary customers have to wait outside. You're not Disney! Do it on Saturday or Sunday but not during the week. Today it was not busy at all and you have me waiting outside for no freaking reason! Stop this BS. 3 people like me waited for over half an hour to get in. No lines anywhere. Total customer unfriendliness! read more

While visiting in town, we came with a family member who had a Costco membership. Full disclosure- back home I'm a tried and true Sam's Club member for over 30 years. I was excited to see what a Florida Costco had to offer. I came looking for a case of Gold Peak unsweet tea. I know both Sam's and Costco seem to sell comparable items. Sadly, Costco only had a green tea or Snapple. I had to ask 3 different team members to help me to see if they had what I was looking for. The first girl I asked had to go ask someone else, who then went to a third girl. Shouldn't anyone that works there be able to help me with my simple request? Finally, I was told of my available options. I left to buy what I wanted at Publix at a higher price than I was hoping to spend. We did buy a rotisserie chicken and fresh crab legs and they were both very good. Every time I shop at Costco it confirms to me that I do not need to purchase a Costco membership. If it's not the door Nazi's checking your membership card on the way in, it's checking your receipt on the way out. To be fair, Sam's does check receipts on the way out, but not on the way in since way before Covid. A So So experience of a wholesale club. read more

Has some very good wine selection , but their snack selection is less than i thought. I guess it's a smaller Costco. I do get a colorful long sleeve shirt as St Augustine is cooler than i thought. For months or longer, friends at work told me to try Costco. I was like, it's like BJ's and the others that sell what would be your 3rd or 4th choice of a name brand, so all you really get large quantities of what you really don't want. However, my wife had been hearing great things about Costco as well, so we decided to give it a try. Wow! I can't explain what a great idea trying Costco was. I'm so glad my wife convinced us to go there. She's always (sometimes) right, and that's why I listen to her (sometimes). Lol. Seriously, if you don't have a Costco membership, you need to get one. They have anything you want at a savings and great prices on items you wouldn't think of getting. A surprise item I get every few trips is a sack of little neck clams to steam or enjoy raw. I used to get clams as a teenager feeling around on the bottom of a bay and diving to the bottom to pull them out of the mud or sand. I miss eating them a lot sometimes, and the fresh clams (from a farm on the Florida West Coast) at Costco have at times a 5-day shelf life in the fridge. Their seafood selection is huge as well as their meat/poultry area. The best deal there is their 3 pound Rotisserie chickens. The price is only 4.99 for plump, moist, hot & juicy Rotisserie delishisness. What a deal. We also enjoy their ready to eat prepared meats that include Gyros (best I've had outside of Greece) which will feed 5, Chicken Street tacos, and stuffed peppers at a price cheaper per pound than the price of ground beef to make them. There are also others we haven't tried yet but look equally great. Time savers at a budget price. Doesn't get better than that. There are so many other things I didn't mention, but go see Costco for yourself. Especially if your spouse or significant other mentions it. In this case, they will be 100% right in wanting to join. Also, if you are wondering what membership to get, I'd recommend the executive membership. You get 2% back on your purchases and, at the end of your membership, will pay for next year's membership. The amount we spend on food every month has been greatly reduced. I hope you try Costco and save money each month, too. read more

I would like to share my unpleasant experience shopping at St Augustine Costco. 07/12/2025 I was shopping at this Costco with Costco gift card, my daughter presented it to me as a gift. I was served by cashier Roberto. As soon as the cashier was informed, I had no membership and planning to pay using gift card his attitude changed. Cashier called some lady for "99" assistance. Lady opened his register and left. After scanning was finished, I gave him a gift card and pooled my regular credit card. I had to add 50$. Cashier refused to process payment and demanded cash. I politely told him I was not carrying cash. Cashier called some guy, he was calling manager, and told him I have no cash to pay for my purchase. The manager told me he can make it happen for me with a snaddy look on his face. I was stunned by the level of service and asked " manager." What is the problem? Informing him this is not the first time I was using gift card to shop at Costco. "Manager" informed the cashier that he can accept a regular credit card, as long as I have money on the gift card, completely ignoring me and my question. It was the most uncomfortable, and humiliating experience I ever had shopping anywhere. read more

They had some good deals, but way too busy. Staff was not regulating the flow of people as they were leaving, it was a major mess. Register staff was not very friendly and just seemed like they were not liking their job. The food was great tho. I would definitely go there for a snack or lunch sometime. First time at this location, came on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised. Ample parking, clean, nice employees. It's a smaller Costco compared to other locations but it's still rather large. It's right across the street from bucees and it has its own gas station. The price for the gas at this Costco is not as low as it is at other locations and I am assuming it is because they have the bucees gas station across the street, it's still competitive pricing but it's lower at the Jacksonville location. I will definitely be back to this location, much preferred than the Jacksonville location. read more

A new Costco in St. Augustine, in our driving path to/fro Atlanta! We were the 194,726 customer there (as they'd been open for 2 days. It's the usual Costco goodness, with - I swear - a better wine selection than most stores in the Orlando area. They have the optical right next to the hearing aid department: so, the deaf can lead the blind! On this their third day, they were bustling, but well-prepared: each of the 6 self-check-out stations was staffed by an associate who'll gladly scan your purchases for you (to speed things up probably, cuz some of us, at least, can be so darned slow by Costco standards, at least some of the time). The odd thing is that the towel dispensers are the old-fashioned pull-down type, and toilets don't have auto-flush (but urinals do, thank goodness) - cost-saving, or they know something we don't know? This new Costco is right next to a Bucee's! The stars are aligning! Or are they? Anyone who knows either business can appreciate the traffic each generates by their own (or combined) devotees. So put the two of them together and this can become as messy as a multi-vehicle crash site pancaking on the other. Even on a Friday afternoon, the flow was gnarly - 3 police cars blocking each exiting vehicle from Costco from turning left, forcing us to go right before finally allowing a U-turn. So, by all means go see the new Costco, but caveat emptor - driver beware! read more

When I first moved from California, where I had 3 Costco's within 15 minutes, to St Augustine I was not happy I had to drive 45 minutes. I kept my trips to 1 time every three months. Visited this afternoon to do some daily shopping but forgot people were panic buying water and toilet paper... Overall, the entrance was a little congested but I was still able to snag the wine advent calendar :) I am able to navigate through more aisles than I should with ease. They had at least 8 sample stations open which was amazing. Everything from depot loops to veggie straws. I was able to get some pre made meals- meatloaf and stuffed pepper. Very good and they are staples in our house. I also got a button down flannel for $11. I love clothes at Costco. And the best part was I waited a few minutes when I saw the line was backed up, and then went to self check out where I walked right up and an employee scanned everything for me. Super happy the new Costco opened and love that's its so close to my house! Tip, go early or during the week. I feel like there are a lot of retirees and or snow birds in the area that like to clog up the aisles and talk about what they miss about New York.
