Man... let me start by saying I owe Winn-Dixie an apology. Back where I'm from, the Winn-Dixie stores were gone when I was a kid, so I was today years old when I found out they're still out here thriving. I walked in absolutely flabbergasted. The real MVP, though, was the lady working there. She put me on game! She told me they have an app (WHAT?! ), explained the rewards, discounts, and even how their shipments work. I was on my lunch break, but I spent most of it getting a full education, and I'm glad I did. I originally stopped in just to check the place out... then I spotted the holy grail: Buffalo Trace Bourbon. If you know, you know. Back home and even around here it's usually allocated or gone before you can blink, but they had a whole shelf. I won't say how many followed me home... let's just say I got mine, and they've got another shipment coming. Between the customer service, the knowledge, and actually having bottles people are hunting for, this place earned a customer for life. Not too why it is rocket science to get employees just to say a simple "thank you" upon check out. Be surprised how simple a "thank you" can go along way. Recent morning visit to this location noted that there were no checkouts open and only self-service. What happened to cashiers-box attendants ...? Getting to the point that customers may have to catch/cook/package/stock the items! Having shopped this location for some time now, it has gotten worse. People have choices in where they like to shop. This is not one of them. Bottom line, don't shop here!!! read more

I go there all the time, and it's convenient to where we live, but what I don't like is misrepresentation of price. I was going to buy this salmon because it shows it's 3.24 per pound, but it's not. It's 3.24 less of the normal price of probably 12.99. Peel. It should be showing you what the accurate price per pound is, not what you're saving and making it look like that's the price per pound. I didn't know this winn-dixie existed until I saw their advertisement on Facebook for their re-opening day. I came by to check it out, it's not too far from where I live and parking was easy to find. The store is clean and newly renovated but it's not too big, which is a good thing. The employees were nice but it could be because it was their re-grand opening day so everyone was trying to be on their best behavior. I sampled the sushi, which was freshly made, pretty tasty and the San sebastian wine was great too. A lot of the items were bogo and on sale, especially the shrimp. Their steak sauce was delicious on the ribeye steak. I also notice that they added way more cakes and ice cream at this location. Because at all of the other locations, their cake selection is very limited. I enjoyed shopping here for the first time and I might come back if the service is sustained. read more

Definitely got to watch Winn-Dixie in St. Johns County on 210. They advertise sale items that do not ring up at the register at sale prices. If you get a discount on liquor, make sure you get the discount because they don't automatically give it to you. Check your receipt before you leave the store I think I finally learned my lesson after the fifth time. I do believe sometimes that they are aware that their sale items are not ringing up on sale, and figure most people are not gonna come back for five dollars.....but how many customers at a five dollar loss to them will go back to get it?! The girl at the register didn't speak at all, no hello, even after I said hello to her, and not even a thank you after I paid....NOTHING maybe she was a mute?? She bagged my stuff so heavy I could barely lift it into the cart. I had to come home and re-bag my stuff so I could get it up a flight of stairs. I feel bad if the person carrying their bags was old and frail. Then I went to the customer service desk to ask if they carried a certain brand of cigarettes and she looked at me like I was inconveniencing her to have to answer me. Well... she gave me a nod no, then I asked something else and she nodded yes. I told her how pleasant everyone was there (sarcastic of course) and she mouthed off to me (at least I got her to talk. I thought it would have been odd that possibility two mutes worked there) I proceeded to walk away and she kept calling me to come over, I just kept walking because I am sure she had nothing nice to say. Do better WinnDixie. If you don't like your customer service job then go get a job that you don't have to talk. I guess people are raised differently these days. Made a yelp just to leave this review because it is becoming very frustrating. I've been to this location many times and had to deal with a gentlemen named connor. He is very rude and smells like excrement which I don't understand how the managers can allow this?? (Lost my appetite fully it is that bad). Today, I went and watched this grown man have a full blown meltdown at the cash register while me and other people were waiting; It seems every-time I go to this location and see him I am prepared for another show. read more

The managers at this location need more training. Instead of helping customers, they bag groceries or hide behind other minuscule tasks.

They have a great liquor store. Buy 4 bottles and get 10% off that purchase. Many prices are better than the cruise ship prices. The store itself is horrible. The BOGO'S are more like buy one and get 50% of compared to the Publix's bogo's down the street. The store is dirty, it smells like old seafood and is an ugly color. You feel like you failed in life if you shop here. I'd rather drive 20 minutes and go to Aldi then shop here. The meat used to be good but lately has been really poor quality. The meat on sale is very fatty and not worth the sale price because it's low quality. The liquor store has good deals and money you save money reward points is worth not driving somewhere else. Other than booze shop somewhere clean. 2 stars only because of the liquor store. read more

This is the Winn-Dixie that's closest to my house... I have to frequent it. I have WIC because I'm a single mom with a disabled child. Every single time I have tried to buy milk here with my WIC card, even though directly under the milk says WIC excepted... It doesn't take my WIC card for payment. I have had managers tell me how they will get this corrected and that it should be ringing up. This has happened at least five times... And I'm standing at the cash register feeling like an idiot. Thank you for the humiliation, managers at 210 Winn-Dixie. I will not be coming here as often. read more

Now we've been Publix fans since moving here a few years ago but after a simple bread and milk visit 6 months ago this is our go to grocery store. They have a great rewards program make sure you sign up and use it. You earn reward points to use towards your future visits every time you spend money here. After our Thanksgiving shopping spree we had $25 worth of reward dollars which was the first time I had noticed this option. With my digital coupons (downloaded onto my account online before my visit) and my reward points (thanksgiving and before) I was able to pay $11 for an almost $80 shopping visit. That is pretty awesome. Plus the prices are just so much better here. That along with the BOGO is just worth the quick trip here. Also, they mark down their meat all the time. We always look for quick sale deals if we plan on cooking that night. I've picked up steaks originally costing $20 for $5 in the past visits. (Usually you will see these on Saturday mornings or also on Mondays based on my visits). Everyone who I've encountered here is very nice; however, you will not get the same service as Publix. They just have the market on customer service. Again, everyone here is nice...they just don't go out of their way like Publix. There is a Winn Dixie liquor store next door and they are always running specials. The prices during specials usually mirrors a Costco price and I appreciate not having to drive all the way to Costco to save this kind of money (especially on re-stocking the bar days). read more

I have to give props to this Winn Dixie location. It is so clean and well stocked. Easy to navigate with very helpful staff. I want to spotlight the young man / cashier that helped me. His name is Aiden. I was so impressed they way he interacted with customers in line. He is a great asset to the store! Do you love cheese?!?! This location is always clean and has an incredible selection of cheese. Want to know how/why??? They have the number one cheese purchaser Bubba Chavez in the USA for Winn Dixie...he travels for cheese competitions and will personally help you choose new cheese to try. Now the deli guys could learn how to cut prosciutto properly, but they can't be perfect. We will work on them. Their bakery is fabulous and ladies super helpful. read more

Wow, I am impressed with the new remodal. This place is impressive. Wide open, super clean. Love the organic/healthy section, as well as the massive beer section. My only wish is the kitchen stayed open later than 8pm.i would've loved some smoked BBQ. read more

This Winn Dixie seems a lot nicer than others in town. Friendly staff & i think i had about 5 people asked if i needed help in a 1 hr. shopping trip!!! Thumbs up on friendliness factor too. This Winn Dixie rivals its archenemy (lol) publix any day in my book! Super clean, nice hot station & the salad bar looked awesome too. I am not a regular shopper here, but I have to give credit where it's due and it's certainly due at this location as it's excellent. Large, well organized and stocked. Great employees and some really great deals. For me the thing that stands out here is how clean this store is and how excellent the deli is. They have a chicken wing bar that is fantastic. You can buy wings in various flavors and mix and match then how you'd like for a great and easy meal. read more

They advertise tobacco products in their circular! Get a clue! The staff is typically younger kids who don't give a crap and are not friendly or helpful. They won't take competitor coupons. I have NEVER been a Winn Dixie fan, but this Winn Dixie is a nice place to shop. Always clean and bright. This store doesn't have that usual Winn Dixie "smell", as if they've left something to rot in a remote corner somewhere. I now clearly understand why I always shop at Publix and Winn Dixie's are going out of business. I literally stood in the deli for 15 minutes and was the only customer. With at least 4 employees walking around not acknowledging me. I do realize that it sucks to work on Easter but, your there so you might as well service customers. When the guy finally acknowledged me he then proceeded to take another 10 minutes finding the turkey. I gave up and walked away w/out turkey. Winn Dixie by far needs to take some lessons on customer service from Publix and maybe they wouldn't be shutting so many down! read more

When I was a college student in the Arlington area of Jacksonville I was surrounded by two very poor and overall nasty Winn Dixies. My parents live in PVB and theirs is great, this one trumps that! Clean, friendly, great selection and of course you can't beat buy one get one free and gas perks. Very glad this is in my neighborhood! This gives Publix a run for their money. The cheese selection is great and the cheese monger is very knowledgable. Deli layout is great and the hot bar selections are yum! Would like to see some more variety with produce... couldn't find parsnips that's a pretty common veggie. read more

8/13/14 - 5:30PM: No steak in the meat isle so I ask the butcher like I always do, to cut me a piece of sirloin steak. The butcher tells me they have plenty of sirloin but he's not allowed to cut meat. He says he can quote me a price but I have to come back in the morning when the other butcher is there to have a piece cut. Wow!!! Horrible management!!! read more

Interestingly...this is the one and only Winn Dixie I have ever been in. So I cannot accurately compare this place to others. This store is a few doors down from Taps...which we frequent often. The store is spotless....they have a really great deli department, which a lot of Publix supermarkets in my area seem to lack. The fresh produce area is well stocked and well lit. I love the Fuel Perks program Winn Dixie offers!!! Take advantage of this! They also have a great selection of BOGO (buy one get one) offers. Combining that with the fuel perks... I was never a fan of Winn Dixie until moving to the 210 area and shopping at this location. What a wonderful store. The staff is friendly and the store always seems clean and well stocked. By far, this is the nicest Winn Dixie store I've ever visited. The majority I've been to are dark, dingy, and somewhat run-down, however this store is clean, fresh, bright, and brand new. The aisles are large and easy to navigate. The items are well-stocked. The employees are helpful and friendly. They have a fantastic deli area, which is also located near a killer sushi bar, and they also have a cheese bar! The produce section is immense, and filled with lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Of course, Winn Dixie is also known for their great butcher area- filled with top quality meats that you really can't find at any other local grocery chains. One of the other highlights is the liquor store which is located directly next to the main store- so if you just need to grab some booze or a 12 pack of beer- stop in there, you can get in and out quickly, and they have some great sales on a lot of different items. The only thing keeping this from being five stars- the prices on a lot of the items. To me, Publix always seems to be cheaper on everything not on sale. This store always does offer a lot of BOGO's and sales, plus the FuelPerks program is pretty sweet, but Publix just seems to save a little more, and their customer service outshines Winn Dixie in most regards, although this store was by far the best Winn Dixie I've ever experienced. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I would have no problem shopping here on a weekly basis, in fact I would highly recommend it. Great store. read more
