This location is "my Publix" and it's ol' reliable. It's pretty clean, usually busy but there's not a long wait to check out, the store layout makes sense, and everyone is helpful and has that "premier customer service" attitude. Sometimes you try to get a pub sub and it's a nightmare, but we've had zero issues at this location. Everyone is kind and not too in your face (you know what I mean with some of the aggressively helpful folks) and I can get in and out of this place easily. I love Publix Subs! But not tonight! I ordered a pick up. So Who ever put my sub together did a terrible job. Three items missing. Stale bread. Sparsely added the other ingredients. First, this is NOT a criticism of this particular Publix or any other Publix store, but Publix corporate in Lakeland and corporate policy, specifically, the Deli section. Every night, employees throw out "tons" of food because it reached or is approaching the expiration date. It's god damn heartbreaking to watch this knowing the food is headed for the dumpster and eventually a landfill, along with the recyclable plastic containers. Perhaps Publix could learn from Winn Dixie - mark down the items to 25% Off instead of charging their usual inflated prices. Then, donate unsold items to a local food bank or homeless shelter. Better yet, let employees take food home but whichever, stop the horrible, unconscionable waste of resources and labor. Publix lacks corporate responsibility to the community and environment. Superb experience at this Publix yesterday! They have always been so great. This is the closest grocery store to my house so it's convenient. Actually, I take that back.. there is another chain across the street but I don't even bother with them. Publix is my go-to! The staff is consistently helpful and friendly, their store is steadily clean and organized, and their product quality is perpetually outstanding. Yesterday, I had a quick but pleasant visit. The cashier was cordial and cheerful, which I appreciated after a long day of work. I checked out and was walking to my car, I hear someone calling out to me. An employee was running to catch up. I forgot one of my bags. I was so grateful. I wish I had gotten the names of everyone that made my day. I love this Publix off Old St Augustine Rd near Bartram. They've ALWAYS greeted me and my daughter with such glee and helpfulness. I love that they've brought back the Free Cookies, they had to shut it down for COVID-19 but it's back up! They have the best produce, and their selection of different foods is extensive! Management is always there for you no matter what the circumstances and for that I am eternally grateful for. Pro's Free cookies, crayons/coloring page, stickers and balloons are often there for kids at request. Great selection of new and been around items Bakery makes every ounce of fat on me worth it! Sushi is AMAZING! And $5 Wednesday Sushi day is a great deal! Produce is always fresh You don't have to wonder about your meats like at some other grocery stores The staff is amazing Customer Service treat everyone with respect and try to make it all work out so you leave with a smile Bathrooms are always clean and well stocked Very clean store I don't think I've ever gone and they've been out of something I needed They have a great pet toy selection at much LOWER costs than other places even WM! Their App allows you to clip coupons and just type in the phone number associated with it and it takes it off! Their app also allows you to see a complete exact copy and keep it in there if you need to make a return. No more gift cards because you can't find the receipt it's always in your app! Cons Yes we all know the prices on the items are a bit higher than others. BUT look at all those pros. I LOVE Publix but be aware - the Pharmacy at this location is HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. The Representative who took my new new prescription mocked me by telling her co-workers that she "finally" has insurance (INFRONT OF ME)!! My husband swung by the Pharmacy to check my prescription status while he was there ac ouple of days after dropping it off, and was told they're trying to contact my PCP for instructions. Cool. Totally get it but why couldn't anyone call me and advise me of this? My PCP's MA is always on game so them "trying to contact my PCP" doesn't sit well. It's been almost two weeks since I don't off that prescription, I went about my life and actually forgot about it until my husband just asked me about it. No one from the Pharmacy has contacted me at all regarding my prescription. I'm lucky it's not a medication that would put me in distress but come on, Publix! I know your customer service is better than this! This is a decent Publix with everything you would expect of a Publix; fresh food and smiling faces. The staff here is really nice; always smiling and willing to help whenever needed. They keep the parking lot and store clean. The deli, meats, produce, etc always have fresh groceries. However, this Publix laid out a bit different than other Publix stores i have been too, which at first was confusing until I got the layout in my head; now I can find every thing I need in here. read more

This is a pretty standard Publix. It is a great size. The aisles are big enough for two carts to get through. They carry just about everything you could need. If you need ethnic items you will still need to run to a specialty store. The produce is fresh and vibrant and the selection is great. The service is good but the lines can get backed up very quickly on a weekend afternoon. When there is a good sale this location runs out pretty quick so get there as soon as possible. The outside is well kept and the parking lot is a good size. The store is situated in a nice shopping center with Burlington, Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby and a few other stores. read more

Went there for the first time to pick up a case of IPA. I can only speak for myself based on my personal experience. There was a cashier working there who doesn't say hi or even look at customer while checking out. I think that was very rude. Must be tough being stuck in a low paying job. Oh well. read more

It's not fair that I give this Publix a two star rating because this is a 5 Star Pl. however I'm eating they're crunchy shrimp roll for the first time and it really sucks there's nothing crunchy about it I don't seem like it's fried shrimp in there and it's completely completely just misrepresentation Of what I thought I was getting. I looked at the date on it it should be good through tomorrow I don't know what that means as far as packaging goes this is a picture of what's left of it and it has my personal Sriracha sauce on it but I have had the tuna and salmon and shrimp tempura and several of the other Publix sushi items which were decent just don't get this one read more

I am always a Publix fan- and this store is larger than the one closest to my home. Walking in, fresh flowers and smiling staff is how I am greeted. I was running in for a few items for a dinner party and I didn't even know I was hungry until I got inside and whatever was cooking in the deli smelled amazing. And I don't even know what it was- it didn't smell like the fried chicken (a smell that instantly makes me want fried chicken)- but it was delicious. Easy to find what I needed- all the aisles clearly marked. And I always have to walk by the bakery- always. You never know what treat you will be compelled to add to your cart! I was surprised how packed the parking lot was- and the store was hopping. But, as usual, the registers were running smoothly. read more

If I could only give a zero. So I wait 24 minutes at the deli counter, no one in front of me, just had to wait for new tenders to cook because the last batch was burnt. When they finally became available.... the young lady served 4 people in front of me who happened to be the same race, she looked at me and smiled. I have never had a bad Publix experience, but we know some are better run. This one is horrible. This used to be the closet Publix to my house (like 2 minutes) and everyone here is wonderful. Because they saw me so much they learned my name including the rest of my family. At the pharmacy if they see me they would flag me down and say I have new prescription or tell my mom hers came in etc. Francis said there was one cashier who didn't smile or speak to him but i'm very certain he's referring to the lady who's DEAF. it threw me for a loop the first time I met her because everyone at publix is usually so friendly but she is too, she just has a disability. She's not really able to sign while scanning so it makes sense why she would be more shy. Try to be more understanding you never know. read more

This review is for the Pharmacy there. I was just in and waited on line behind the only other person there when a woman walked up behind me to wait on line. There was a man I believe was the pharmacist checking out the person in front of me and a woman standing behind the counter pretending to be busy. When she saw the woman in line behind me she proceeded to call her over to check her out. I said nothing until the woman paid for her prescription and walked away. I then told the woman the last customer walked up after me and you took her first ? The pharmacy techs name was Layla I was told. She had the nerve to tell me I was standing in the wrong spot with a smile on her face. I asked her if she had a problem with me or men in general ? She then told me she will not check me out and told me to go to "him" meaning the other guy there. I did and she then said she " will be reporting me to her supervisor" I told her thats fine I plan on reporting her to corp. Office. Ama?ing how rude and nasty publix employees are to customers. I did ask for the manager but was told they were on break. Another woman overheard all this and proceeded to tell me its jot just me this girl seems to have a problem with men in general and should not be working in customer service at all. Do yourself a favor and go to any other pharmacy besides Publix in Old st augustine plaza. read more

Some maskless Karen was ranting non stop about being disrespected and treated like "garbage" by some guy with spikey hair in the pharmacy. She listened for the good part of 30 minutes, the lady seemed a bit unhinged, felt terrible she had to be exposed to a maskless customer who was making crazy accusations towards the pharmacy staff. One of the best Publix markets to go to. Helpful and friendly associates. Stocked shelves. Fresh fruits, veggies, and meats. Willing to get you what you need and if they do not have it in stock, they give you a raincheck. During seasonal changes or calendar events, they are very decorative. Their deals are awesome and couponing is great. They are willing to work with you and also guide you on how coupons work per their policy. Every week there is something good to buy. Whenever you're around the area, stop by here and shop. I think you'll leave satisfied. Plus they also have free wifi now, even more awesome! read more

Quick and convenient, normally there couple times a week. decent range of items, with the occasional out of stock. the staff overall is good and it is relativity clean. there meat selection is hit and miss, sometimes has some really good cuts, and they sometimes not so good, it is like bananas, one day it is spot on and the next it is out of stock or too ripe to eat. there are some items we will get from other locations that is not carried by publix. They did recently start home delivery that we are looking forward to trying in the near future. read more

Can't believe I've never Yelped this Publix but then their are two Publix about the same distance from my house! This one is just as organized, friendly and with sale items on hand as the other....with one exception today! I wanted the sub identified in the flyer this week-Boars Head jerk turkey with chipotle Gouda, bacon and honey mustard-it sounded good! The deli clerk said we don't have any jerk turkey. I waited and finally said what are u substituting for it? I think that threw her but I always ask for a substitute on an advertised item if any store doesn't have and Publix has always been good about it! Now I don't get 20 items at a time but one or two is reasonable. She asked someone and said what sub do you want, I said I liked the advertised one...so let's sub the meat and make the rest. I got Cajun turkey, the Gouda but she said I could not have the bacon unless I paid more! Really!!! I did not press it (I was feeling nice) but I am expressing myself here! Walking into this store it wasn't at all what I expected. I expected to see high prices and a little selection of products to choose from. I love all the items that you can find on sale. This store always has a great deal and I truly recommend downloading their app. The app that they have makes shopping very easy and convenient. It will show you the aisle each item is on. It allows you to clip coupons and also place orders as well. Another perk their app has is the recipes. Whenever you want to try something new it'll give you step by step instructions which I found pretty neat. I don't really use Publix for all of my grocery needs but with its location and ease of navigation through the store I find myself slowly making it them the only store I go to. read more

On one hand I should of posted the good days and the times they have been nice but on the other hand tonight's experience being ignored in the back by 3 different people triggered me to this review. I asked for crackers for my chilli bc they had only one pack left out, even the gentlemen who up front walked by and I asked him. He asked two of the 3 that I asked and they pretty much ignored him to and said they would get some. Who mins later I reminded them I was still waiting. One lady said they were out. The customer service in this store is amazing. I use them as an example when I am training customer service classes. Today I was checking out, and a manager was bagging groceries. Upon noticing I had a torn box of seltzer water, she first offered to get a new one, and when I said no need, she ran and sealed it up with packing tape for me. The cashiers are always personable, and management is visible on the floor asking if customers need help. This store is a well oiled machine, even during the holidays! Kudos well deserved! read more

Never had a bad experience at Publix before, but today I beg to differ. I understand it's a hard time due to COVID-19 but they should really check on their customer service. I was lined up to purchase four trays of chicken breast to cook dinner for my family but was rudely informed that each customer was limits to only 2 trays. It makes sense because of the high demands but the cashier(female with glasses) did not have to be rude about it. If your employee is unhappy about work then please send them home, they do not need to be taking it out on customers. read more

This store is ok for just your regular grocery shopping but the absolute worst when it comes to the hot food area. When my family first moved to the area 7 months ago, we stopped in to grab the 8 piece fried chicken deal that comes with 2 sides and Hawaiian rolls. They had no clue what we were talking about so we had to pay regular price for everything only to come back a month later when they were now offering it. Every time we have went in to grab this deal since then, there is never any Mac n cheese, wedges, etc. This is at dinner time around 5:30 and you are out of the most popular items to go with fried chicken?? This is a smaller Publix store but it has everything I need. If I need something else, I can always go over to the one on San Jose. The store is cleaned and well stocked. The staff is helpful and willing to go the extra mile. The sale items are well displayed each week and if they don't have something, they will provide a raincheck. I absolutely love this location! While i have gone to other locations and the staff can get short and snippy, this location is always friendly and goes above and beyond. The deli staff is friendly and is nice to accomodate. I needed cubed cheese and cold cuts and they were happy to help with my party needs. The bakery is also very friendly and will mix cookie packages whenever i dont feel like buying 4 dozen cookies and only want 2. The store is clean and the staff is just amazing. I have never had an issue with rotten meat or fruits or veggies. Overall this location is definetly my go to even though its further aware from my home. read more

Look how shaky that writing is and she really wrote with green over the green balloon when she had plenty of space to scoot the text down on the cake.
