This is how my deli experience went today. Place an online order. Drive to Publix and arrive at the time it will be ready. Wait 10 minutes. Ask the lady at the sub station if it is on the way. She pulls it from the top of of the counter they make subs at and hands it to me. I ask why wasn't in the pickup area. She rudley says "can't you see how busy I am?" First waste of 10 minutes of it sitting there and me standing there with no idea it was ready. I get to my office. Open sub, its on hard white roll not soft sub roll. I call store upset. Manager says refund and remake. I drive 10 minutes to publix. Get refund. Go to get remade and they are out of Soft Sub rolls. NO ONE TOLD ME BEFORE. I get other item as replacementb but before ask the sub lady why no one told me. She shrugged and said i dont know. and she did not care. I can't go back here after a waste of my time and gas like this. What a miserable experience. Manager was somewhat helpful but he didnt care either and he really didnt care noone told me when I picked up my sub it was on different bread for a reason. read more

I find that Publix is more expensive than other area grocery chains. On the other hand, it carries more variety--both in name brands and in types of items. The Hibernia store is kept clean and the staff is very helpful. In the current Covid circumstances, I see that they wear masks, which I appreciate. But, they're dealing with supply chain and source company closing issues, too. Several "usual" items were not available--but every grocer is facing this. I think they should have more handicapped parking spots in the front area because sometimes I cannot park close to the store and that makes it more difficult for me (and others, I imagine). But, I have switched to shopping here for the bulk of my list because I can usually find what I need. read more

zero For the Deli. This Publix Supermarket is by far the worst I have ever visited, and I have been shopping at Publix for over 25 years. On March 10th at around 7:30 p.m., I went into store #1210 in Hibernia, Fleming Island, to pick up deli sides and subs for dinner. However, because the staff had already started breaking everything down, there was practically no food available for purchase. The soup station was closed, one sub station was barely operational, and there were no chicken tenders or hot sides--everything had been packed away, with the lights turned off. The staff seemed more focused on cleaning up and leaving on time than on serving customers. My son ordered a chicken tender sub, but since they had stopped cooking chicken well before we arrived, an employee named Mia suggested using prepackaged tenders from the cold case, claiming they were the same. However, these tenders are sometimes frozen before being placed in the case, making them a poor substitute. The sub station was practically empty, and the mayonnaise looked like it had been sitting there all day, with barely enough left for a full sub--it was unappetizing and unsanitary. This store must be losing money. The deli should be a highlight, especially during dinner hours, with the aroma of fresh chicken and hot sides available for purchase. Instead, the lack of fresh food and an uninviting atmosphere make it clear that management is failing. I'm not sure whether it's the store manager, district manager, or deli manager responsible, but they are doing a disservice to both the store and its customers. The staff was polite, but it still took 10 minutes to make a single sub because they had to run to the back for pickles and open a package of old tenders. While waiting, another customer mentioned that this happens daily, which is completely unacceptable. This Publix serves a growing market in Fleming Island and Green Cove, yet one of its highest-grossing departments consistently lacks product. Customers are either forced to shop elsewhere or go without. Coming from South Florida, I am used to Publix locations with fresh, inviting deli sections, especially during dinner rush--you can even smell the chicken cooking. Not here. I will never shop at this store again. This is not a discount Publix, but it certainly feels like one. The priority here is getting employees out the door on time, not serving customers. Ordered two subs full and half Both boar's head roast beef Used be pretty good size portions but this time maybe 5 on half and 8 on full They didn't follow instructions what was asked online order Missing mayonnaise, oregano, black pepper thin roast beef. Publix is the best, I always would rather shop here rather than anywhere else. The lighting is great and the staff is awesome.

Too many times on my way home and the plan is to get a hot meal from the deli. after 7 at night they are cleaning everything up. Not to bad if they have anything in the oven. But most of the time they are out. Just meats and no sides. Love the store and love the pharmacy. Just close the deli or change it. If it was only a few times I wouldn't give them a bad review. You can go to the other grocery stores and multipurpose stores. Such as Fresh Market, Target, Walmart, and Winn-Dixie. But you will never get the customer service you get at Publix. Top to bottom, no matter what department they are there to serve you the customer. Their bakery goods are better. Their meat selections are superior. And their staff is a huge cut above. read more

I don't usually create reviews but I NEEDED to on our last visit!!!! We looked everywhere for the large cinnamon brooms( my fav for fall) And couldn't find them. I asked customer service right before I checked out & they went and looked for them and brought me one. Such amazing customer service. Especially to the male working the customer service desk on 9/26 at around 6-8 pm. Thank you for all the help. This is why we shop at publix. Love y'all read more

I recently moved to Fleming Island Plantation and I must say, this Publix is quite convenient. This Publix has become "my Publix" aka the closest reliable Publix near to me. I go here for anything from weekly groceries to cold medicines. As usual for Publix stores, the location is accessible, clean, and well-stocked. The store feels welcoming, mostly because of the excellent customer service that is delivered. If you are not familiar with Publix, you should be, as this is the South. Stop by this location for a great shopping experience. It's a pleasure. read more

Having lived in Fleming Island, this was my go to grocery store. They are always well stocked and organized here. I've ordered many cakes at the bakery and they do a terrific job. The last cake I ordered was for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary and it was delicious and very affordable. The staff is friendly and the bag boys are always willing to lend a helping hand to take your groceries to your car. And as another reviewer mentioned, their fried chicken is pretty damn good and it's pretty difficult to pass that up whenever I go. Easy parking and conveniently located from my folks! read more

This is the 2nd Publix on Fleming Island and it very much plays second fiddle to the older, bigger store. This store is smaller but still has all of the Publix bells and whistles. You'll still get great customer service and you'll probably get a much better parking spot than if you'd stopped at the other store. I have found that there isn't as much variety in things like sushi, just because they clearly do less sales than the other location. This location does have a liquor store, something that the store on 220 does not. It's tiny but very convenient if you need to make a Publix and booze run. read more

I love shopping at Publix but this particular store, I had an unpleasant shopping experience. I went to the deli side to purchase some deli meat. There was no line and I did not pick a number. One of the ladies behind the counter with glasses asked if I had a ticket. I told her no because there was no line. She said that can change pretty quick. (ummmm really, still no one else shows up) I let her know what I want to order from the deli. She goes to get the meat but prior to all of this I saw her and two other employees talking and pushing a shopping cart I literally HAD to ask her to change her gloves because I saw her touching the shopping cart. That was disgusting!!!!! That is something I should not have to tell her to do working in that field. Unfortunately at this store you have to tell them. Yuck! She did not seem too happy to change as I saw her whisper something to her co-worker. How rude!! Publix, please train your employees to be clean always when dealing with food!!!! I have never ever had a bad experience at Publix. Publix is always clean, has the best products, and the employees are always kind and willing to help. I, personally, always make a stop at the deli and bakery. They have the best chicken, sandwiches, and salads. Everything in their produce is always fresh. You can never go wrong with Publix. read more
