This is not my first time at Buc-ee's, but this was my first time perusing the hot food options. Now, with my food allergies (garlic being one of the major ones) it's very rare that I can't eat at a majority of fast food/restaurants, let alone a gas station. Having said that...this stop I was checking out the sandwiches and bfast options...Most BBQ I can't have because of the seasoning on the meat, but Buc-ee's sliced turkey on the other hand - NO GARLIC Now I'm excited Then I read the rest of the ingredients in the wrapper. Garlic in the BBQ sauce So, the hubs asks the employee behind the round glass area (who was literally standing around with his arms crossed) if we can get just the turkey on a bun (no bbq sauce basically)? The dark haired, bearded guy said "No substitutions!" And my hubs was like "I get that but my wife has a garlic allergy and can't do the BBQ sauce, but can do the meat! Which is rare for her!" The gentleman said "No substitutions!" He didn't direct us somewhere else to just get the sliced turkey by itself or offer to speak to a manager or anything... Guess no more Buc-ee's stops for us!! Holy chaos Batman! This was by far the busiest location I have ever been to! I have been to several locations throughout the country before visiting the St. Augustine location so I was already expecting it to be busy. We were heading up north on a road trip and even though we would be passing other Buc-ees locations, we decided to check this one out since it was new to us. I like visiting different locations to see what their themes are regarding designs based on the location. For example, the Daytona location has race car flags in their themed items. I did not find anything here that was distinct to St. Augustine though. I mean it could be because I was so distracted with the chaos that I didn't see anything. Like any other locations, this location also has several food options and is always stocked up. You can find almost everything here. They even have seasonal themed items for the holidays! If you are ever near a Buc-ee's you really owe it to yourself to stop in. My friend goes in by looking for holiday decor and I go in for the sandwiches. This trip I bought 4, the big buckin brisket, the club melt, the three meat and the Carolina pulled pork. They are all delicious! While I was there this time I also bought the Buc-ee's brand zesty dill pork rinds, steakhouse beef jerky, smoked beef sticks and garlic dill pickle rounds. Buc-ee's is an extra large Stop 'n Go or Quik Stop. It's grab 'n go foods with a large gift shop for travelers. Also has some casual clothes and personal items. We enjoyed walking around, tho we didn't buy anything. The place was easy to navigate. Liked the large area of beef jerky. The ladies were making fudge in the food area. Plenty of cashiers kept people moving. Like advertised, there are a lot of gas pumps. Many electric charge stations are in the back of the building. Buc-ee's is an absolute must-stop! The store is incredibly clean, well organized, and has just about everything you could possibly need while traveling. The selection of food, snacks, drinks, and Buc-ee's merchandise is impressive, and the breakfast sandwiches are definitely worth grabbing for the road. Also, do not pass on the jerky, fresh, delicious, and a wide variety of flavors! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restrooms were exceptionally clean--which is a huge plus on a road trip. Visited the Daytona location a few days ago and it was way too crowded to have a good experience browsing everything so decided to check out the St Augustine Buc-ee's and so glad I did. Fueled up my car at their gas station and could not believe it was the cheapest around at $3.99 per gallon. What can I say Buc-ee's has just about everything under the sun you need. From the many Gas Pumps, EV Charging Station, Car Wash, Beef Jerky, Hot Brisket Sandwiches (they're known for) , Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Fried Chicken, Sausages, Cold Sandwiches, Fruit Cups, Wraps, Salads, Fudge (they were sampling). Plus, Glazed Pecan Nuts, ALL kinds of Drinks, Cloths for every body, Water Bottles, Knickknacks and keep sakes, and lots of other Buc-ee's Merch just honestly far too many to list. You got to love the red number 82 Truck in the middle of the store. Go there and see for yourself. The Buc-ees stores have the cleanest bathrooms as they hold true too! If you must go through this area- stop here. They're ALWAYS very busy. Open 24 hours! You will not find too many bargains here but the prices seem fairly reasonable. it's truly a cool place. FYI-They have a "Pay at the Pump" code of conduct. If you are paying with a debit or credit card, you must pay at the pump. You can't park your car at the pump, go inside to pay, then return later to fill up. **INITIAL REVIEW** Living in Florida, the only time I go to Buc-ee's is whenever 1.) I pass by Daytona Beach going to an event or 2.) I decide to make a Buc-ee's adventure to Daytona Beach. Because of that fact, I have never been to the first Florida location in St. Augustine... until now. Even though an address is provided, the St. Augustine Buc-ee's is located on the westside of the north St. Augustine exit on I-95. Compared to its younger counterpart southbound to Daytona, this Buc-ee's is small, and that is saying something about any Buc-ee's in general. Don't get it twisted. Though this Buc-ee's is smaller than the Daytona location, it is still big in its own right with like 100 gas pumps, and 100s of parking spots for patrons to enjoy the beaver's wares. The shopping floor is just loaded with Buc-ee's branded lore while the delicious fragrance of brisket on the board waft through the air. The restrooms are still the cleanest restrooms you'll ever use with over 50 stalls for people to use spearheaded by at least one restroom attendent making sure the stalls are clean right after you use them. The two things that I noticed missing here when compared to Daytona is 1.) the changing rooms and 2.) the vehicle wash. The former I can't really push on this Buc-ee's anymore as I was informed many other Buc-ee's locations removed their changing rooms. I guess they need to utilize the space for more Buc-ee Beaver-branded shirts or something. But the vehicle wash, I can understand why this location doesn't have one. Unlike Daytona, it doesn't seem to occupy as much land. Ultimately, this Buc-ee's is still a great place to go, but compared to Daytona, there are some things it lacks. I also have a preference for Daytona for it is closer, too. Ergo, I am going to give the St. Augustine Buc-ee's location four-out-of-five stars for its review rating. Excellent, but the fifth star is more in lieu of my personal preference. I will keep my options and mind open as you never know if this Buc-ee's will add or improve on anything. But for now, I think my review and rating is fair thus far. So was this Buc-ee's just as good as the one in Daytona Beach? If I went with every little tidbit, the answer is no, but this location, the initial location for Florida, is still a good place to go. read more

Boy, I had a hard time leaving this gas station. It had so many cute and yummy things inside. It has changed the way I put gass for now on lol. It was an experience. I hope more open. So recently I went to a fairly new one in Mississippi off of I10 while traveling home (New Orleans) from Florida. I get a thrill just knowing one is near, like a kid at their favorite place. We returned to this Buc-ee's as we were on a trip returning from Georgia to Orlando. This Buc-ee's is right across the street from the Costco so they typically are comparable in price. The exit moving from 95 south to Buc-ee's is a little bit chaotic as well as the return back to 95 south as you exit Buc-ee's. That's what you get with a place that is Insanely busy and popular. Buc-ee's is top tier for me. If I see a Buc-ee's, I am stopping. On this trip I was heading to the airport for a 6 a.m. flight and went in around two or three in the morning. Even at that hour, everyone was awake, friendly, and moving. The place is very well lit, clean, and fully stocked. They had the brisket going, all the food out, all the nuts and pecans and snacks. I could not go crazy with it because of calories, but it all looked tempting. I grabbed some fresh fruit and it was good and fresh, just like everything else. What I really like is that it feels like a Buc-ee's mall. You have restrooms, food, snacks, gifts, everything, and it still feels clean even in the middle of the night. We stopped at three Buc-ee's during our roadtrip down to Florida. This was our last one for the night and have one more to go to! This location is very close to the hotel we're staying at which is super convenient. It's what you'd expect from a Buc-ee's, too! *Tesla Charging Station Ah Buc-ee's. It's interesting how I passed the Tesla recommended stops to push forward to Buc-ee's in Saint Augustine. The Tesla was sending off warning alerts: DANGER WILL ROBINSON and then the HAL 9000 voice in "2001: A Space Odyssey" says: "I am putting myself to the fullest possible use" Elon be damned, there's BBQ further north! This might be crazy to say but this Buc-ee's location is slightly smaller than the rest. Their gas pumps are almost half as many than the average pumps at other places, but still more than a typical gas station. Upon entering, you're greeted warmly by the staff. If you've never had the opportunity to visit Buc-ee's, the sheer size can be a lot to take in. You've got your typical convenience store related items to the right side, but there's fresh food like brisket, jerky, fudge and pastries to the left. I appreciate how the hot foods are made fresh each day and are available 24/7. With regards to beverages, there's coffee & tea to the right of the restrooms while fountain drinks are located on the left. Refills are $1.99, which you pay even to fill your own personal thermos/water bottle. There are no water fountains here, btw. Restrooms are nice, clean, and spacious. Toilets and faucets function well and theyvare well stocked with paper products. The soap dispenser is a little hard to reach for kiddos so it was a little hard for them to be independent. If you continue walking towards the left, there are Buc-ee's related merch like clothing, home goods, toys, gift items, outdoor gear, and more! You'll need to practice a little self control because there were so many cute items I would have bought for myself and my family. Did you know you can throw yourself a Buc-ee's themed party? Whelp, I just had an amazing experience with Shayne at this location. My car broke down towards the front entrance and to make matters worse, I had my fur babies with me. There were some cars driving erratically and since we were stopped at the entrance Shayne was kind and even placed cones behind my car. Always the safest place to stop for gas and a restroom break! The parking lot is well lit and busy, meaning people are always around, allowing a woman by herself space to breathe a little easier. (Though we should always be vigilant.) Snacks are top notch! I always go for the candied pecans or cashews, pickle chips, and occasionally a 32 oz. fountain soda for $1.19. Each time I find myself in the Saint Augustine or Jacksonville areas, I seem to always end up visiting this Buc-ee's location. I believe this is the first location of the gas station chain I ever visited, so for that reason I have positive thoughts on it. It is located a short drive from the beach at Saint Augustine, and it is not too far away from Jacksonville, either. We stopped here on the way out of Saint Augustine after being at the beach for the day. Like most Buc-ee's, this location is massive with over 100 gas pumps, plus a sizable retail store accompanied by the infamous food selection. There is plenty of parking here, as would be expected. I have visited here at certain times where it was pretty crowded, but despite that I seem to always be able to find a parking spot and a gas stall. We visited this time on a Tuesday in July around 6:30 PM. I always like to browse around anytime I am at Buc-ee's to see what is new and fun in regard to both their food and merchandise selection. There was a good variety of summer seasonal shirts and home decor. This store also had boogie boards, umbrella anchors, and various other beach items due to its proximity to the ocean. I personally had never seen that before at a Buc-ee's. Since I was last at a Buc-ee's, they had a much expanded selection of novelty merchandise relating to the store, such as a Beaver Nugget pillow. This store has a nice selection of food. I have my usual favorites that I like to get, such as the Brisket Sandwich, the Club Melt, and any of their jerky varieties. In addition to the hot food and freshly prepared items, there is a wide selection of "typical" gas station items. I personally like to get some of the Beaver Nuggets, the Sugar Free Chocolate Covered Peanuts, Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans, and the Chicharrones. Lastly, I always get a fountain drink - they truly have some of the best prices on them anywhere! Obviously, visiting this Buc-ee's, or any location, is a spectacle and more so of a novelty. The prices of some items are fair, and I think the Buc-ee's-branded merchandise is very reasonable. Most of the food is a little pricy, especially considering it is a gas station. However, it really depends on exactly what you buy, as there are good deals to be found. The staff were all nice this visit. I personally have never had a bad experience with any Buc-ee's staff. They are friendly, prompt, and kind! It is always busy at these stores, but they make the check-out process efficient and always answer all questions. Overall, I had a pleasant experience on this trip to Buc-ee's! We always like to stop at this location, and truly have never had a bad experience. For Corporate Buc-ee's: I know stores must evolve and innovate, but I would love for Buc-ee's to bring back the Chocolate Covered Sunflower Seeds. They were so good, but I have not been able to find them in about two years. Also, I wish they would expand the selection for Sugar Free Chocolate. They only carry the one variety of the peanuts, but they could easily have more of this in different nut varieties or with the espresso beans. read more

Buc-ee's is a must stop for me every time I travel to Jacksonville. They always have great selections of snacks and refreshments. Their restrooms are immaculate, and I like their green/red light indicators above every stall so you know if it's available. Their pricing is very reasonable, and paired with excellent customer service, they are fantastic! Definitely big fans of their roasted nuts, brisket, Cherry Maple jerky, and banana pudding. read more

Wow... this place is incredible and everyone we stop here it is crazy busy. So many staff and so many people just a full crowd all the time. Staff are great at guiding you and giving help. It's a clean and well run place. For a gas station with a full range of other stuff is amazing. The BBQ is amazing and flavorful. The home made chips to the home made fudge is something I would come back for. Be prepared to be amazed and make sure to be patient and calm to work your way through this maze of good things. Wow! What a well oiled machine this place is! Full of consumptives as any super store, Buc-ees is beaver themed heaven! Candy, clothes, Knick knacks, house made food, homemade tortillas, on top of gas! The atmosphere is fun consumerism through necessity. I hear they treat their employees well while keeping things running smoothly. Well done Buc-ees! You can trust me, I watch a lot of reels. ;D read more
