Plus, the staff is always super friendly and understanding. We like to come here for grocery type items in addition to getting gas. But what we really like is the car wash. However, the dang thing likes to act up a lot and/or not give you what you paid for. That is not a reason to mark down any stars...why? Well, if you just let the staff know they'll give you your money back or another car wash. I love it when you find a place with no hassles and has everything you need. Woot! On an ending note, the location is awesome on US 1 and near the Nocatee turn off.

I love how the restrooms have red and green lights to let you know if they are available. There's also plenty of parking and lots of pumps, so getting in and out is easy. We were heading up north on a road trip and even though we would be passing other Buc-ees locations, we decided to check this one out since it was new to us. I like visiting different locations to see what their themes are regarding designs based on the location. For example, the Daytona location has race car flags in their themed items. I did not find anything here that was distinct to St. Augustine though. I mean it could be because I was so distracted with the chaos that I didn't see anything. Like any other locations, this location also has several food options and is always stocked up. You can find almost everything here. They even have seasonal themed items for the holidays! I have been to this location I think 2-3 times and it is always busy, like all locations. The cashiers work very quickly so the lines move fast.

The store has all your convenience store essentials like blunt wrappers, malt liquor, condoms, lottery tickets, etc. They also sell gasoline; the price is in line with the other stores around. So if you looking at being intoxicated, fueling up your car, or just need a can of gas for other reasons then Gate is for you. The aisles are consistently clean, products are well displayed, and most items are easy to grab. There are always plenty of employees around if you need help, and the free samples are a big bonus--honestly, you could walk in hungry and leave full. They take Visa as their main form of payment now, and the customer service desk is always helpful with returns or questions. The only downside is that sometimes you find something you really like, go back a month later, and it's gone. Inventory can be a little inconsistent, but usually there's a similar product to try. It went well for me and Gate. We finished the job on time and gave them a good product. Now that was about 18 years ago. I walked in as I always do my years after and look around to see how the place has held up. While I wondered around I ran into the manager. She is still her the original manager of the place. Holy cow that's a long time. The place still looks good and everything even on the shelves were in place and clean front to back. The bathroom (men's) was still clean and well stocked. The place sure looked good for it's age. When we built this store there was;t nothing around here. We had to drive back into OP to eat lunch. Now I'm back to build another Maple Street just down the road.

One of the employees (maybe manager?), Art, is usually there in the early morning and is always super friendly and chipper...even at 6:15AM. The other store employees are also quite friendly and I have yet to encounter one that isn't. This gas station is usually the cheapest one in FI along US 17 btwn the bridge and CR 220 (usually just by a penny or two though.) The friendly faces and yummy coffee are what brings me in on a regular basis.
