I love how the restrooms have red and green lights to let you know if they are available. There's also plenty of parking and lots of pumps, so getting in and out is easy. Overall, Buc-ee's is certainly not just a gas station--it's an experience. Consider a free to visit attraction! We were heading up north on a road trip and even though we would be passing other Buc-ees locations, we decided to check this one out since it was new to us. I like visiting different locations to see what their themes are regarding designs based on the location. For example, the Daytona location has race car flags in their themed items. I did not find anything here that was distinct to St. Augustine though. I mean it could be because I was so distracted with the chaos that I didn't see anything. Like any other locations, this location also has several food options and is always stocked up. You can find almost everything here. They even have seasonal themed items for the holidays! I have been to this location I think 2-3 times and it is always busy, like all locations. The cashiers work very quickly so the lines move fast.

If this BP was just as cheap as the other station I'd go here every time I was in need to fill up on this end of town. That said, if they are the same or even a penny or two higher I will go to this station. I like easy! It is easy to get in and out of with the entry/exit points and there is a light on the main road on one side so you don't have to fight traffic to get out and cross lanes. Plus, it has a shopping plaza behind it so you have options for driving in and out of it instead of only having a street entrance/exit. One of the good things about this station is that it's "roomy" to drive in. You don't have any or much gridlock. There is a small convenience store and a car wash as well. I have never used the car wash, nor seen it working. My quirky note: I like to put the pump on automatic while I put my credit card away, throw away trash, etc. Here, you must hold the nozzle.

This has now happened for the fourth time, and it no longer feels like a coincidence. Since the "boss" moved to the new store on 207, this location on A1A has gone downhill. The store is noticeably less maintained, from basic cleanliness issues to problems like the coffee machine needing cleaning and the milk dispenser often being empty. Overall, it just doesn't feel properly cared for anymore. On top of that, we've repeatedly experienced what feels like ongoing card issues at the pumps. The previous manager used to personally check the pumps for skimmers, and I've seen him do it. That level of oversight seems to be gone now. Whether it's negligence or something else, the situation is disappointing and concerning.
