We recently visited the St. Augustine Mattress Firm after relocating and finally having enough space in our new home for a king-size bed. Two years ago, we purchased a Tempur-Pedic queen mattress, and it has honestly been one of the best investments we've ever made. Since we loved it so much, upgrading to a split king was an easy decision. This time, we chose a split king so my husband and I can each control our own side of the bed, and we couldn't be more excited! We also purchased another mattress protector and decided to try their cooling sheets, which we're looking forward to when everything is delivered in a few weeks. A huge thank you to David, who helped us every step of the way. From our initial phone call and text conversations to meeting with him in person, he made the entire process easy and enjoyable. He listened to exactly what we were looking for, answered all of our questions, and never once made us feel pressured or like he was trying to upsell us. That's the kind of customer service that keeps people coming back. A quality mattress truly is an investment in your health. My husband has dealt with a herniated disc for years, so having proper support while he sleeps is incredibly important. As a dental hygienist, I spend my days in ergonomically demanding positions, so taking care of my body is essential if I want to enjoy a long, healthy career. Since switching to Tempur-Pedic, we've both noticed a huge difference in the quality of our sleep and how we feel when we wake up. Our previous queen mattress is still in such great condition that it's getting a second life in our guest bedroom. If you're considering investing in a great mattress, we can't recommend Mattress Firm in St. Augustine enough. Ask for David, you'll be in great hands. And who knows... maybe one day when we're retired, we'll come back and splurge on Tempur-Pedic's top-of-the-line model! read more

Mattress Firm St. Augustine - Mattresses Near Me - St. Augustine, Florida

Sold us a $4000 mattress that he claimed "would break in" , it never did and it's given both us back problems.

My two mattresses, purchased at this Mattress Firm 11 years prior, were in need of replacement. David was so helpful, informative and patient. He explained each type of mattress, its construction and levels of comfort. I chose two king sealy Posturepedic pillow top mattresses. These actually were the same I had only a step and a half higher in firmness. The process was smooth, great sale and financing and terrific salesman. Delivery in two days!! Could not be more pleased read more

They should call the place mattress impossible ! The person who sold us the the $5100 bed (tweedledee) and the man in the store (tweedledum) would each need a synapse if they acquired another neuron. This very expensive bed lasted 6 months before it broke down . I called the store and he would only give me the insurer's number even though I explained that the first-year was from the manufacturer. I called the number he gave me and a nice woman explained that the manufacturer had the first year and immediately gave me the correct number and even transferred me. The manufacturer's help line was very helpful and solved the problem as a malfunctioning controller and is FedExing me a new one. So, do yourself a favor and buy at the Jacksonville or Oak Coast or at another bed dealer. These clowns should be avoided. Other reviewers called them liars but I think they are not smart enough to lie effectively.this read more

Got completely ripped off the guy told me the mattress and base are refundable after 3 month period the mattress is but the base was not when I decided it wasn't a right fit. Very unhappy and felt like I was played and now I spent over 4k for something I don't like. 10/10 don't recommend read more

As far as the buying process went, I have no complaints. We dealt with Logan and he was awesome... On G! He showed us exactly what we were interested in seeing, gave us a couple of options and then gave us plenty of time to talk it over & come to a decision on what we wanted to purchase. There was no pressure & no underhanded tactics. The entire process was smooth and efficient. Obviously, we'll have to wait & see what we get when delivery takes place (very fast, btw, as soon as next day was available) - but for now I have zero bad things to say. Thank you, Logan. As an aside, both of the other gentlemen in the office there were super friendly as well. read more

My husband and I went in to buy a king sized mattress and when it was delivered, it was dirty and clearly indented. Upon calling the store, we discovered the manager had sold us a $1400 "floor model" (this after being told there would be a delay in delivery from the "warehouse"). We did not get what we purchased and after an unpleasant discussion with the manager, decided we did not want to exchange or do any more business with this store. We asked for the store to pick up the mattress and refund the money, which they did - less a $50 "restocking fee". We tried to fight this thru our credit card company but the manager at Mattress Firm refused. We got stuck paying $50 to this disreputable store because of their attempt to sell us a used mattress. Buyer beware and shop elsewhere. read more

We received great service from Alex at this location. He was very patient and answered all our questions. I would recommend shopping at this location. read more

These people are unethical LIARS. My Dad has cancer and we went in to get him a new mattress with adjustable frame. THREE if us went in and got the same quote for the base that had more adjustments. They charged what was quoted but then sent a lesser base. They claim its what we ordered and are trying to charge my mom more money for the base we ordered. They claim thats what is on the receipt. How are we supposed to know the names of the bases. So they purposely scammed my mom doing bait and switch . She had a long conversation about my dad and our desire to make him more comfortable. We called immediately and even told the delivery person we wanted to delete our signature but he wouldn't let us take it back even though he was still there. The store employees keep saying let us see what we can do, but allegedly can't get in touch with their manager. My family did NOT need the extra stress of liars and scammers. Please DO NOT support this horrible unethical business read more

WORST company we have ever dealt with!! My husband and I will never do business with them again and I'll make sure that my friends and family don't return either! We had issues with 2 different salesmen here. One being the "manager" who initially told us several things that come to find out upon our return were all lies. That would be ALEX.... He was more interested in making his sale and being a "friend" than giving us the details of their policy. In fact, once we bought the mattress he only gave us a print out of our receipt which he stapled the 2 pages together and we did NOT even receive the paperwork that includes the 120 - day sleep trial warranty!! He told us our mattress has a lifetime warranty -- it does NOT. Only 10 years. Our delivery date got postponed because they couldn't get our mattress in time (that's fine - pandemic stuff) so they pushed it back 2 weeks. When we just returned to switch out our mattress bc we don't like it, we were told that we passed the trial period (which we were also told by Alex that we HAD TO SLEEP ON IT FOR AT LEAST 90 DAYS before we could return it to give our bodies time to adjust-- come to find out online it's only like 20 something days so we've waited over 90 days to come in although we have been unhappy with it for at least 60 days) so they tried to use our original scheduled delivery date as our trial period beginning date, not our ACTUAL delivery date since they called and moved us back. Alex also did not tell us we needed a mattress protector or it would void the warranty. We found this out when they called to move our delivery date and then they were supposed to send us one with the delivery of the mattress. Guess what - NO MATTRESS PROTECTOR! Our new mattress arrived without the mattress protector so how are we supposed to sleep on it the day it arrives without voiding the warranty??? During this entire process which was almost 2 hours the second time (we spent an hour before we were even helped and we found the mattress we wanted to exchange for on our own while we waited) the employee made us think that our only option was an exchange and not eligible for a refund at all (aside from the base, you can't return that- I read online lol) but when I left and went online and read the sleep trial policy it says RETURN OR EXCHANGE! He let us think we HAD to only exchange and we were stuck with our money being spent there with no refund option available. Furthermore, because Alex did not explain the terms to us or give us the paperwork with the terms in it (the second employee did this when we returned to the store just now-- it's too late by then!) I had removed the "white law tag" which the company puts directly on top of the mattress where you lay LOL done by design? I think so.... So this also voids the warranty! I didn't discover this until after we left the store for the second time and I found out on my own by going online. But It says so in the paperwork which nobody gave us OR told us!! Alex should have been doing his job instead of chatting with us personally and told us ALL of the CORRECT warranty and policy information. I guess because we were an easy sale and nice people he decided to chat and skip over all of the business stuff we needed to know! If they told us these things voids a warranty on a $3,000 mattress that we aren't sure we would like-- WHY WOULD WE CUT OFF THE TAG AND NOT HAVE A MATTRESS PROTECTOR AFTER SPENDING ALL OF THAT $$$$ ?? These people are crooks! We are now stuck with a $3,000 mattress that hurts our back. And also another thing you don't realize until you want a different type of mattress is that there is NO variety for a affordable selection !!! We were informed by the second employee that they have an agreement with Temperpedic where they cannot display any other memory foam mattresses on the show floor! They had ONE which is the one I wanted and after we waited an hour before we were helped (sale man was too busy talking about personal stuff so it took over an hour to do the paperwork for the mattress sale he was doing) he told us this one isn't even allowed to be sold anymore and it was the only other memory foam mattress aside from the more firm $5000 temperpedic. If you're not allowed to sell that mattress WHY IS IT ON DISPLAY TO SELL?!?!?! All other beds were the regular coils, Hybrids (which we got originally) and then the temperpedic ones which expect too spend at least $5,000 on. He also said the one we wanted was low quality... it was a softer memory foam which is why we were there because our mattress was too firm and they had nothing softer in the store except that one. I was told by the employee that Mattress Firm has "cornered the market" ....yeh-- they back you into a corner that you can't get out of, that's for sure!!! CROOKS!! GO ELSEWHERE & DO BUSINESS WITH A FAIR & HONEST COMPANY OR BUY ONLINE read more

Malcom the sales guy was AWSOME in helping us pick the right mattress. Great service.

Purchased a King Size mattress in December 2011. The mattress has since sagged where I and my wife sleep. We contacted the company...a Rep came out and they measured the depth of the sag and although it sagged by; 1 1/4" it was not within the 1 1/2" requirement....mind you it was only 1/4" within their warranty guidelines...certainly within the margin of measurement error.... On May 31, 2013 wrote to the CEO of Mattress Firm, Mr. R. Stephen Stagner...I NEVER received a response....was seeking a credit to purchase another mattress and was willing to even upgrade to even a more expensive mattress...mind you we paid $1,500 (on sale) for this mattress.... DON'T DO business with this company as their warranty and integrity is worthless. PS Our neighbor down the street also had a similar problem...they too were denied a claim...they purchased another mattress from a different company read more

Great experience! Pedro Costa (aka Peter) was our salesman and went above and beyond to help us find the perfect mattress. He took his time and explained features, benefits, and costs for all of our options, and scanned warehouses in Florida in order to get us the best possible deal. After leaving, he continued to follow up and search for the best price. Ended up with a fantastic mattress at a great price! Highly recommend! Thank you Peter! read more

I had a poor experience here. They immediately size you up. Ask you your job, lifestyle, etc. They have a tier system of how much to charge you based on their questions. I got out of there and didn't go back. I got a nice Platinum Beautyrest online for a third of what they were charging. They recently filed for bankruptcy... not surprising. Definitely rubbed me the wrong way. Very high prices... you can do much better and no creepy sales rep getting to know you and following you around the store. read more

They were cooperative and very helpful. Great service overall. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Started my day looking for a new bed. My first stop was to the closest mattress store to my current location which ended up being Mattress One. So when I arrive the location had the wrong address online. I call Mattress One. I ask the store salesman where the address was located in St.Augustine. He hung up on me. I called back. They didn't answer. Okay? So the next store I found was Mattress Firm which was just a 10 minutes away from where I was. I saw Mattress One as I was driving down the road to Mattress Firm. I passed it because they were rude and I'm not spending my money with a company that hangs up on me and is rude on the phone. Never buying a bed before is overwhelming walking into a mattress store. And I have no anxiety but this gave me some. Fortunately for me I picked the right place because the Sales Associate Richard Wilcox at MATTRESS FIRM was more then helpful. First of all you can feel kind of silly walking from one mattress to the other to lay down and find one that's comfortable. RICHARD mad me feel quite comfortable and at home. By the end of my shopping experience I was ready to invite him and his wife over for dinner. Richard was quite friendly and knowledgable. It was a really great experience and yes I did buy a bed, a great bed. I'm extremely excited I didn't waste my entire day bed shopping. Thank you Richard Wilcox for answering all my questions and making bed shopping easy and stress free. I recommend this store and Richard at Mattress Firm if your in the market for a bed. #Richardbedking #Mattressfirm4life #otwtosleepinggood #mattressoneisawful read more

Very knowledgeable staff. Helped me pick my very first new mattress and saved over $2000.00. Sweet deal.

We went into this store very confused about what mattress would be good for us. Me with back issues and my husband complaining of waking with stiffness. Elisa Squatrito was there to help! She was very patient with us. She explained the differences and encouraged us to try out all of the mattresses as much as we wanted. We walked away from there with what has proved to be the answer to all our complaints. All in all a great place to buy your mattress! Elisa makes it painless and takes as much confusion out of it as possible. If you are in need of a new mattress go there and ask for Elisa, she's great! read more

Great store. Clean, well organized, the location offers easy access, but most of all the sales associate we spoke to, Dan, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. We are not quite ready to purchase a new mattress, but when we are, we will definitely do business at this store! Based on our experience, I would highly recommend this store to anyone. read more
