I generally like Target and look for them when I travel. I just called this St. Aug store with a simple question that either the store or pharmacy could easily answer but I cannot reach anyone. I was disconnected 4 times. The Pharmacy line says leave a msg & get a call back in an hour. This is extremely poor customer service when no one anywhere in a large store will answer a phone. Target Optical has gone wayyyyy down hill. I got a wrong Rx first and they made me new glasses with it. I could not even see with them at all. Dr reviewed the Rx and then changed it back to what it had been, which I could see with. The glasses were made incorrectly...bifocal line being in line of vision and so distorting vision terribly. The man there, at first couldn't find the receipt (they had not put a copy in my folder) so couldn't give me a refund. Finally he found the receipt (looked under wrong date) and then after a long time of computer work told me he couldn't give me a refund because it was done through a third party. Now, what do I care how it was done as long as I get my refund. It seemed that he was not familiar enough with their system to give me a refund while I was there. He said he would have to do it later and would call me. He kept saying there wasn't enough staff in the dept and he could only do so much. He told me to call corporate to complain. I said this was very poor customer service. What I didn't say to him was I will NEVER go to Target Optical again. What a horrible experience and waste of my time with 3 visits. read more

It's really hard to rate stores sometimes. I've never given a target store to stores but unfortunately that's what the Saint Augustine targets gonna have to have. Each time I've been in the store recently I've been charged incorrectly. Today they have Legos on sale buy one get one 40% off. Even when I caught their mistake Customer service could not fix the error in their system. Does this mean that every customer who has been buying Lego store in the sale is being charged too much? I wonder. Last time I purchased a top for my daughter that was on sale for four dollars but normal price was five dollars. When I got home I looked at my receipt and I had been charged 4.99. It's only pennies and I live pretty far from the store so it wasn't worth it to run back to the store and they made the error. Fortunately today I caught the mistake while I was still in the parking lot. But what really surprises me is that they might be overcharging every single customer who buys Legos. The other reason for two stars was the very cranky employee in the toy section. The customer service lady was friendly and sweet but seemed like her hands were tied with fixing any prices in the system. read more

Headed here while in the area since we were in need a few things. It was a relatively quick visit, as we were heading over to the historic area, and not meandering about in the store itself. They were well-stocked with the usual items, and the layout was standard for the chain, so finding things was easy. They have a Starbucks located inside this one, which is nice! When we got up to the register, there were both the self-service registers, and the regular ones. We opted for a regular cashier, since the lines were short. Targets are Targets where ever you go. And this one is JUST off the bridge to down town St. Augustine. I needed to pop in here to pick up a few essentials (Eye drops and Nyquil) I was glad it was so easy to get to. We found everything we needed and MORE. We Both found the perfect Pirate coat in their Halloween costumes for our Renaissance festival outfits, something I hadn't seen in the Tampa area. They offered the St. Augustine Wines, which was nice, and it was in a Light House bottle too! I liked that! Over all, nice Target, not a supre, but that's Ok. A medium format store. read more

It's the only Target in St. Augustine and it's wonderful. The staff are always friendly and checkout is always a breeze. The parking lot is huge so you'll always find a spot. This retail chain store sells great clothes and their own designer collections. This particular store has the usual bargain section right as you walk in. As soon as you can tear yourself away from all the deals you step into the bathing suit area. Now this has been the only place in St. Augustine that carries a huge selection of woman's bathing suits all year long. The store has clothes and shoes for the entire family. The electronic and toy departments are well organized. I love the unique style of home goods they offer as well. There is an excellent health and beauty department that has just about any brand you could think of. You can get your eyes checked and glasses here too. The eye doctor is really nice and appointments are easy to get. You can also do most of your grocery shopping here. They offer fresh produce and a great frozen food section. The food area is where I always find new and interesting items. The store is clean and bright and well a stocked. There is also a small Starbucks store and snack bar inside. read more

There's really not much I can say about Target that is bad but there are some things that can make it even better. The shopping experience here is enjoyable. I've actually seen them bring the shopping carts back in after cleaning them ... So most likely you will never see a filthy shopping cart here. That's a big plus for me. I can always find a helpful employee here and the check out lines aren't horribly long. They have a Starbucks inside ... YAAY! This location is not a super Target but it does have a decent selection of grocery. This location doesn't get as busy sometimes which I love but during the summertime they get really really business especially back to school time. The parking lot is always clean and shelves are stocked. The prices are not much different from Walmart! read more

I like Target but just recently I notice a disturbing change in their merchandise in the electronics department. They will sale old generation electronics at the same price as the newest generation items. For example the apple iPod touch is now on version 7 and can be bought from Apple for $199. Target still has the iPod version 6 for $199. Also many of the items in this department seem to have past their shelf life. I don't blame Target for wanting to make money, but I have always thought of the store as having the newest products for a fair price. So a word of warning 'Caveat emptor', let the buyer beware. I have been tricked by Target several times thinking I've just bought the latest and newest product, only to learn later I was duped. Not anymore ! read more

Bought my parents a new TV setup for my mother, new TV, 4k player etc, bought an extra aux cable by accident for the sound bar. Lost my job locally and had to travel for work and my mother is home bound. I had the receipt and everything. Just told them to make it store credit because I needed a ton of stuff and they said I didn't return it in time. That $15 cable cost them a couple hundred dollar purchase of me stocking my elderly mothers fridge and pantry, cat food, litter, and the 4k movies I was going to buy her. I like target because it's cleaner, easier, and a happier place than Walmart hands down. Also, of course I love the new Starbucks. But I have to say, you guys need to work on how your employees treat people (in the actual target, not the Starbucks). It's worse every time I go. One of your employees was standing around on her phone and jumped in front of my husband and I in the checkout line and yelled that she was in line and to back off. It was super weird and awkward, she was standing off to the side somewhere. Didn't look like she was in line at all. That's just one example of what I've experienced there lately. I really, really enjoy this Target store. The store is located off US1 all by itself, and the parking lot is HUGE and well-maintained. The store is clean, organized, and I always see a lot of employees walking around ready to help you if you need it. Every time I've been in the store, every item I've been there to buy was in stock, and I noticed the advertised sales items were also well-stocked and organized. The layout of the store is easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. There is a large section of clothing, a fantastic electronics section, housewares, toys, a garden center, everything you're looking for. The prices beat or match any other store I've been to in and around St. Augustine. The thing I love most about this Target store is the shoppers themselves. With the exception of the holidays, this store is RARELY busy. You are able to move about easily, and the checkout lines are quick. And unlike Wal-Mart, the customers here dress appropriately, have manners, and show respect for their fellow shoppers and the employees. Once I started shopping at this Target, I have decided to never shop anywhere else unless I'm out of town. The only thing that would make this place better is if it were a Super Target. They do sell a lot of snacks / sodas / basic groceries, even beer and wine, but they do not have a full on grocery section like the Super Wal-Mart up the road. I gave this store five stars based on being a stand-alone Target department store. read more

An older store, not a "SUPER TARGET" but they have a good selection of items. The store is ALWAYS clean and well lit and shelves are well stocked. Staff are friendly and helpful. I love shopping at this Target. It is clean and organized. Unlike Walmart, there is never a long wait at the cash registers and they always make sure to have plenty of registers open so as to avoid long lines. I also like that Target has its own coupons that can be used along side of the manufacturers coupons for extra great saving. I can always find a deal on their many great clearance items. I also love that many products come with a $5 gift certificate with purchase. It keeps me coming back for more. Over all Target offers great savings and great service. read more

I always go to this target. I've had some fishy experiences, but none this bad. Firstly, the target cafe has been out of several food items the last 3 times I went. Secondly, I encountered the rudest employees today. First off, the girl at the fitting rooms had a very bad attitude. She had a very condescending and 'better than you' attitude. She stared me down as she handed me the fitting room number. It was very uncomfortable. Then, when I came out... there was 3 people all chatting and I know they saw me there but refused to acknowledge my presence. I was waiting for them to acknowledge me so I could give them the clothes that I didn't want, but they literally ignored me the entire time. I probably waited there about a minute or two and then just walked behind the counter and hung them up myself since it seems no one was going to help me. I put down the number next to one of the people at the desk and told them that, but they didn't even look up at me. They were incredibly rude and unprofessional. All of the people up front at the cashiers were very nice but the clothing department people were very awful. I honestly had items I was going to buy but ended up not because I was so offended. I will not return to this target location and will not shop in the clothing department ever again. Truthfully, the people in the clothing department of this target always have absolutely horrible attitudes and it makes it a very uncomfortable experience to shop there. Target really should better check their employees, at least the ones in the clothing department. read more

I'm waiting for my Glasses and contacts but there was a good selection of coach, Versace and other brands. All at good prices. They accept insurance. I go to this Target about once a week, and I love it. Advertised items are always in stock, and the store--including the bathrooms--is well-maintained. Sometimes the parking lot is a pain to navigate through, and you'll occasionally run into the rude employee (most are very friendly), but overall, it's a good store. read more

I don't understand why it shows Tampa still on my profile. I live in St. Augustine. I have enjoyed shopping at this Target for clothing and food. Recently they upgraded their clothing line...not sure about this one, but will review later. I do recommend- consider making this a Super Target. With this town growing, we are definitely in need of a larger store. This second is a complaint. Target was carrying more organic items up until a couple months ago. Then I noticed they went on sale and they stopped carrying these items. I know it's not because they were not selling or unpopular, as several trips to the store would show they were short on stock and employees would let me know when the next shipment would arrive. My only guess is this is not a large metropolitan City and we have one health food store here in town that recently expanded. Was this cutting into this health-food stores competition? Any bodies guess. I will be writing directly to this Target to ask about this as several of my products that I was able to purchase here, now have to be purchased elsewhere at a higher cost. The second complaint is in agreement with a prior persons review. The dressing room employees are a tad rude. I ask for the handicapped room out of true necessity and entitled to such. And told its for handicap persons only. I'm sorry I don't look handicap to you. Sometimes it's invisible. Yet, I have seen moms walk out of a handicap room with her child. ??! And yes, I too have noticed a rude glare and no help when coming out with my non wanted items. I never leave a negative review without leaving a positive. The checkout persons I've encountered have always been very polite, patient, kind and go out of there way to assist. They have helped me with my cartwheel app and making sure the price is correct. Good clean store with plenty of parking. The current downside to this store is the Pharmacy staff. Bunch of slow, rude staffers that clearly don't care about your shopping experience. They seem very rushed and understaffed. My experience wth the current pharmacy manager (I'm sure she will be gone soon) was so bad that I won't bother shopping at that store again. read more
