I am so happy that this store finally opened!!! It seems like I've been waiting for years! I'm happy to say it 100% exceeded my expectations. The selection for saltwater and freshwater fishing is incredible. It's also at a great price and the value is tremendous. I can spend hours looking at everything they carry. 2 of my 3 sons are away at college. They wanted to go fishing to help them blow off steam after exams. Bass Pro Shop is a total vibe! Today I visited a Bass Pro Shop for the first time and I loved it! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We ended up on I95 & were going to stop at Buccees when we saw the the crane working on the Bass Pro Shops sign! We had our 3 year old grandson and John promptly announced we would go there too! Somehow we parked and walked in without noticing all the flags lining the entrance and sidewalk- we did notice them when we came out from shopping and laughed over our excitement to get inside, how we completely missed them! Inside- come through the turnstiles and you are in a grand section- Riley was mesmerized by the huge chandeliers with amazing artwork! We spent the first few minutes simply looking up. Clothing is on the right, past it is hunting gear. To the left more shopping and beyond are boats! If you go straight when you enter and walk to the far back wall, you will find the freshwater tank, filled with fish and above and around taxidermy animals setting an outdoor scene. John went straight for the gun section, I tooled about the clothing gear and snagged some deals. I looked for a Bass Pro Shop shirt for Riley but they didn't have his size in the ones I liked, no worries- I am absolutely certain I will be back. After the signage is complete they will start work on the salt water tank and they will also have gators in the future! Have fun exploring and shopping for all of your outdoor gear needs. read more

I absolutely love coming here for Christmas. This is the second year in a row that we've gone to this location and the staff is always amazing. The experience is worth every penny, even if you don't purchase anything, they are still kind with the free obit with Santa. They changed the interior location this year and I think it ran way smoother. I do give them grace as last year was their first time ever hosting this as it was a new location. They brought back all the same funtivities from last year as well from letters to Santa and a live carousel. The kids enjoyed every moment! read more

This is a newer Bass Pro that is absolutely beautiful. Walking in, you feel like you've been transported to a wilderness lodge and especially at Christmas time there is so much to see and do for kids. We came in to meet Santa who is there the full month of November and into Christmas. The experience is fantastic -- you get a free photo as well as coloring activities, crafts, a carousel, shooting games, and more! It is wild that they offer all of this at no cost. There are additional Christmas activities during the season -- look them up if you'll be around! My husband enjoyed browsing while we were in store and looking at the fish and animals with our son. BPS offers a large variety of outdoorsy stuff and also some great history in its design, such as a high percentage of all photos on the walls depicting locals, and the stuffed fish are caught by locals, and the tanked fish caught by employees in the surrounding area. I miss a shooting gallery and a food court, but the place is adequately sized; not the biggest, but it has the great fireplace at the entrance that we have come to know and love. read more

We had called prior to coming here, because my kiddo received a fishing pole for his birthday. Being that I'm not very outdoorsy, I had no clue how to get a line on a reel and what we needed for the new fishing buddy. When we called, customer service said all we'd need to do is stop by customer service, they'd let us in, and we could go back to the fishing department and someone would help us. We arrived, went to customer service and then headed back to the fishing department. I waited in line, when it was my turn, I asked the salesman at the counter if he could put a line on the reel and put the pole together. I kind of felt disregarded, because he didn't answer me, I asked him again when the line was on, and he didn't really want to be bothered. Luckily for me, one associate, Taylor overheard me and while she was helping someone else, said she'd be happy to help me. About five minutes later, Taylor came over to me and my kiddo and we explained that I have no clue what I'm doing, what we needed, how to put our rod and reel together. Taylor listened to our concerns and spoke to my son and me and went aisle by aisle showing us what we needed, why we needed it, asked great questions about the type of fishing we'd be doing (salt water, fresh water, etc.). She literally spent an hour with us. Never once did I feel like we were being told to buy things we didn't need. She was really passionate about fishing and spoke to my son, not just to me, which made him feel part of the conversation and got him excited to go fishing. The front register employee was rude to my wife, and the fishing section employee clearly did not want to be there or help in any way as he walked off after being asked if he could put line on a reel. Sales Rep Will in the shoe dep't stayed with me and helped me find a nice pair of Olukai sandals. Love shopping at Bass Pro shops but DO NOT BUY INTO THE BLUEGREEN TIMESHARE PACKAGE WITH HILTON GRAND VACATION!!!! My partner and I drove about an hour down to Bass Pro shops for a date. We were super excited coming inside & we were headed to look at the fish tanks when we got stopped by a nice blonde lady selling vacation packages and we fell for it. We were promised to stay in a Hilton or bass pro resort and the day before Valentine's Day (24 hours before check in) we were sent an address to La Quinta. Bluegreen vacations was unable to provide any customer service and actually wanted us to pay $150 just to cancel the vacation. Thankfully, I was able to report the misleading sale to my credit card company and get everything resolved, but all of the travel arrangements surrounding the vacation were not able to be refunded. Being misled by the sale of BLUEGREEN in Bass Pro Shops absolutely ruined our Valentine's Day this year. I'm giving 2 stars because I loved bass pro shops as a kid & I was excited to go back, but to allow this type of practice in their business with their customers definitely makes me feel uneasy. It's my first bow and they really went out of their way to explain the techniques of holding the grip, strength position, anchor points, and how to look through the Peepsight.
