I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Uptown Cheapskate. I came in hoping to…read moreresolve an issue involving a bag that was donated without my consent, and instead I encountered one of the most unprofessional and unpleasant interactions I've ever had with store management. The manager on duty, Leslie De La Cruz, was shockingly rude, dismissive, and made absolutely no effort to understand or address my situation. The bag in question wasn't just any item it was a meaningful gift from a cherished friend, and it was donated without my approval. I approached the store calmly, simply looking for a reasonable resolution. Instead of listening or offering even a hint of assistance, Leslie repeatedly shut me down, showed no empathy for my discomfort, and acted as if my concerns were an inconvenience. All I asked for was a basic form of compensation, such as a refund or a gift card equal to the value of the donated bag. This was a fair and respectful request given the circumstances, yet the manager chose to offer nothing not even a sincere apology. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied, not only because of the loss of a sentimental item, but because of the unacceptable treatment I received from someone who is supposed to represent the store's values. Customers deserve respect, understanding, and professionalism, none of which were shown to me during this interaction. I truly hope Uptown Cheapskate addresses this issue, because no one should have to go through what I did just to seek a simple and reasonable resolution.

It does tend to…read moreget some complaints around town for being overpriced, but I think if you were a little on the wealthy end of the spectrum you wouldn't feel that way. Or if you understand the fashion industry. It borders on the high end. On average, a cute top might cost around $75, a pair of jeans [J Brand, Joes, Sevens, Citizen of Humanity, etc] might cost around $150, and a dress might cost about $175. But, I will say this, the quality is great and the styles are all very hip and fashionable. You definitely will get your money's worth. Honestly, a white tank top that costs $45 is going to fit a lot better, look a lot cuter, and last a lot longer than one that cost $15. I always go there when I am in need of some nice jeans. Just can't beat those brands! They always fit superbly and last forever. Worth the money. They also carry football team colors inspired clothing during football season, which is pretty cool. The clothes are a mix between hippie-chic and sophisticated preppy. Lots of choices, great fabrics, and nice brands. They also have some really nice jewelry and they also sell a few items for the home [candles, frames, etc]. And if you are looking for some undergarments, they have a selection of those, as well.
