My first time at the store and I have to say it is very nice clean organized. They have amazing weapons anything you need bullets and the staff is really friendly and helpful. They have a big variety and selection of different guns attachments also bags backpacks for your guns and the price is really good. A fairly new gun shop that has some incredible inventory of guns and equipment that you don't often see in a local gun store (Dan Wesson DWX optic ready model, Platypus 1911's, Oracle Arms 2011's, Sig P226 X-five's, B&t sub guns, etc). Of course, they also had the standard fare of Sigs, Glocks, etc. Also a decent stock of suppressors, and ammo at pretty good prices for a gun store. Sentry is a Silencer Shop dealer with a kiosk. The staff seemed very eager to help and were happy to let us check out anything they had. I'll definitely head back. Pricing on standard and NFA transfers seemed reasonably priced. Parking was easy, store is very well lit and also had a good selection of knives and shooting accessories. read more

Maybe 3 out of 3 times struggling to get any of the counter jockeys to actually look up and make eye contact put me off from this gun shop. I get they can be busy but there is never an efficient way to get help and when they walk right by and look away it's time to go someplace else. Last time I was in some dude said I'll be right with you and disappeared into the back room behind the counter. I am never stretching to look at price tags again. Some of the dudes there were cool but some of them were kinda odd. Went in to pick up a transfer and they sort of acted like me being there was a huge inconvenience. Wow! I read reviews about great customer service at Sentry Firearms but their customer service still blew away my expectations. It was that good. They also have such a large selection of guns that anyone could stay there a good part of a day looking at all of them. If I remember correctly they will also beat any gun price of the same model. From what I looked at the value and prices are great. We decided to get my wife her first gun. This is something we wanted to do for many years but for a few reasons never did. She went to a range & shot a few weeks ago. After that she felt she was ready to pull the trigger on a purchase (sorry but I couldn't help it). Since the kids are now older and 2 of them are away at college the time was right to get her her own gun. The first associate that helped us really listened to what we were looking for and showed us a gun that my wife really liked. She said the grip and size were great along with the perfect weight. At that time Alex (I believe his last name is Henderson) was finishing up with another sale. The original associate that was helping us asked Alex to help us with more detailed information. They DO NOT work on commission. Alex could not have been better. He showed us the different bullet sizes used by different guns. He also went over clearing the chamber, how to load a gun, how to release the saftey and which gun has less recoil. Alex also showed, explained and compared the details of many firearms. We were fully educated. Alex went above and beyond answering every question and made sure that my wife had everything she needed with this purchase. This included range bullets, home protection bullets, a concealed carry belt, signed both of us up for the concealed carry class and of course we bought his & her t-shirts. We ended up with my wife getting the first gun she was shown by the original associate who really listened to what she wanted. He was great too and with a little more experiance will really help a lot of people if he stays with it. Overall, my wife and I both received a ton of information and she got to compare many guns to see which one was the best fit. My wife and I couldn't be more confident that we picked the right gun for her. At no time did we feel rushed and Alex was going to take a much time as needed to make sure we were satisfied customers. My wife had almost no knowledge of firearms when we went to Sentry Firearms to make the purchase. She was so happy with the purchase she even thanked Alex for not making her feel stupid for not knowing anything about guns. Alex could not have been more professional and helpful in purchasing a first gun. If you want to buy your first gun but you are nervous because you have limited knowledge about them go to Sentry Firearms and ask for Alex. Also, as my wife was filling out her background check information to make the purchase I was talking to others buying guns. They were as happy about their purchase and obviously part of that was the customer service they received from the associate assisting them. So if it's your first gun or another one for your own personal collection from what I've seen and experianced Sentry Firearms will make you very happy. Want huge inventory? Want personal service? Want top named brands ? Brands like Ruger, HK, Barrett, Benchmade, Kershaw, and the list could go one. If you are a "judge a book by its cover" type of person, you may think that it is a run down shop because the outside is not very attractive. Quite the opposite, inside you have knowledgeable sales people, wonderful displays and service was FANTASTIC. My son loves knives and they had a rare one he was looking for, and guess what? No really what? They price matched from a website he normally buys from. Not sure they do this on everything, but it would not hurt to ask. So what can you look for? Benchmade - upscale knives with lifetime warranties. Spiderco - my son bought a Spiderco knife and he was thrilled. Kershaw - Kershaw is famous for the Leek, but I have four or five other Kershaw that I LOVE. Their action is clean and quick. Barrett - they had two .50 calibers on display. HK - my favorite pistol line. They had vP9, VP9 Match, Mark 23 plus more. They have a lot more stuff I have not gotten to see yet, but it really is worth a trip read more
