I had an amazing experience! The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience. They were professional, attentive, and happy to answer any questions I had. The quality of the service exceeded my expectations, and everything was handled quickly and efficiently. It's clear they take pride in what they do and truly value their customers. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely be coming back! read more

The men who work here are overly aggressive. Only come here if you already know exactly what you want so that you can go in and out.

Have been in this place (and have spent a lot of money) nine to ten times. Each time, it is clear that unless you are perceived as a fishing expert, these guys have no interest in the customer. I've experienced this myself and have witnessed how they treat others. Great inventory but the lack of professionalism, basic friendliness, and customer interest has caused this guy (who is a fisherman with money to spend) to go elsewhere. read more

Sending a special shout out to Dave Workman,Dalton Ringler and all the amazing staff at Strike Zone Fishing in Jacksonville Florida. They set me up yet another great inshore setup. Went looking for a bait casting setup. Having not used one in 35+ years i was unfamiliar with the new technology. After some discussion they mated a Shimano Calcutta Conquest 201 to a GLoomis NRX xfast heavy rod. To say this outfit performs amazingly is an understatement. If you live here in Jax or are visiting and need fishing/Hunting or Fly Fishing equipment (my other weak spot) then these are the people to see. From the professionalism of the staff to the amazing store that is this place and the personal one on one service they provide makes this a top rated establishment. read more

Strike Zone is hands down my go-to store! They have everything you could need -- top-of-the-line products, a great selection, knowledgeable staff, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Living overseas, I rely on them often, and they never disappoint. Whether I call or email, I always get a quick response with every question answered and first-class service every time. I recommend Strike Zone to all my friends and family -- and I highly recommend them to you too. read more

Great customer service. The staff is very knowledgeable and helped with looking different rod and reel combos. They have one of the best selections of lures and terminal tackle in Jacksonville read more

Fortunately for Jax fisherman we have Strike-Zone. Outside of this store the pickings are slim. Having said that one might think the inventory and service would be mediocre at best due to lack of competition. That is hardly the case!!! It is the rare day that I stop in and the owner doesn't greet me, dude must live there. And the staff is very knowledgable and helpful which is great because this place is my wife's go-to fer my Christmas and B Day gifts!! Highly recommend!! Ed M. read more

Went in there today fully prepared to buy a bigger ticket item that I am a novice on (archery). When I told him the make and model I was looking at online and why he cut me off and said never heard of it and just pointed over to the rack and said "what I have is over there". Instead of investing a little bit of time in finding out what was best for me and my budget and finding a compromise the guy was more concerned with getting back to his conversation he was having. I left there and went to another store that focuses on archery and they spent 15-20 minutes sizing me up and trying to find a bow that best fits me. I also noticed while in the firearms area that most of their ammo and accessories were anywhere from 20-50% higher than other locally owned stores. read more

Shout out and a Big Mahalo to Dave!! I'm new to Jacksonville and I went to ask some questions about the local fishing Spots and Regulations. I was lucky enough to ask the right person Dave the owner. Not only did he give me some great info but he outfitted me with a Killer Shimano Baitrunner and Teramar XX. I will definitely be back for any more gear I may need in the future. I will also be telling everyone I know about Strike-Zone!! Thanks again Dave read more

Beautiful store lots to choose from also had kayaks sunglasses Very surprised they didn't have any live bait

What a great find. Everything. Everything for any type of fishing. Knowledgeable and helpful folks. Our new fav.

Great product, high prices. Angela the owner lacks in customer service and communication with customers. Not welcoming or understanding. Great place for Christmas gifts, but does not do returns well. Not great for those who receive gift. read more

The fishing store that has everything you need for a successful fishing trip. From rods and reels to lures and bait. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that seems way too happy to be at work. The employees knew many of the customers by name and walked every customer to the item they were looking for. Cleanest fishing store I've ever seen. If I'm I the area I stop in and buy squid and cigar minnows because I know they are the highest quality available. The employees can also help you find the rod and reel for the fish you want to catch. Stop in if you enjoy fishing. read more

A great shop with every option you can possibly need. The crew is very knowledgeable and helpful pointing you in the right direction.

Well I broke my rod on accident and I went to strike zone and I gave them my excuse which was "I got distracted by a trolling motor on the side of the road and fell off my electric scooter and my rod snapped ". And I was willing to pay the price for a new $160 dollar bulls bay rod but he gave me a new one for free! Which was super nice of him and I'm leaving this review for people to see how nice Mr Dave is and his team at strike zone is awesome! They help you find anything you need for fishing or anything related to the outdoors . I highly recommend them they are awesome and super great people. I AM A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!! read more

I really like this shop. This is a fisherman's paradise for sure! I want one of the lightweight aluminum wagons they have on display outside the front door. I wanted to purchase one of the shirts that protect you from the UV lights, but to avail. They have NO full size women's clothing whatsoever. I have a problem with this. Come on! Let's get real. There a lot of full sized women these days. Please buy some full size stuff for us. The two employees never left from behind the register, never asked us if they could help us in any way at all. I don't feel that I should be the one to solicit for help with something. So, we left with out making a purchase. Maybe better luck next time. read more

LOOKING TO GET YOUR REELS SPOOLED?! Go to west marine! They spool your reel(s) for free regardless of if you bought the line there or somewhere else. At strike zone then charge a ridiculous 12 cents a yard for some measly 20-30lb braid. Multiply that by your reels capacity. The employees at strike zone in the blue shirts are somewhat sarcastic in their responses to questions not very helpful. The main gentleman, not sure if he's the owner or GM.. but he is super helpful and gives out very helpful info. He's always walking in the aisles asking every customer if they need anything, have any questions, etc. Great guy. Wish all of their employees were like him. He's the guy in the SZ YouTube video. SZ has a lot of product. That's the main reason I come here maybe once every couple months. I fish 5/6 days a week and for most of my angling needs I decide to frequent the big box stores as their employees are generally a bit more helpful and energetic and they have just about everything I need. Btw there are a few West Marine locations around town. read more

The tent sale is the Mecca of sales. The three day gathering of men and women rewarding themselves for their hard work since the last thing sale. Everything is pretty much on sale including Bote paddle boards which are 40% off... How are they even making money?! Strike zone is now than a tent sale however. They have an abundance of fishing gear but also archery and items for water sports. The store is much bigger than it looks and they even opened up a cafe next to it. Another building is coming which is going to be a showroom for kayaks and paddle boards. I can't speak for anyone else's experience here but I've never had a bad run in with the staff. They are always helpful and point you in the right direction. read more

Absolutely wonderful establishment. My family knows Dave the owner and he is a stand up guy! Extremely knowledgeable about all of his merchandise and products as he used to be a fisherman himself. They have a store cat named Sophia, she is a Bengal and she is a beauty! They carry a variety of clothing, Yeti products, rods, reels and they have really cool animals and fish hanging on the walls. All of the staff is very sweet and accommodating. My son is super into fishing so he thoroughly enjoyed coming here and he can't wait to come back! read more

If you are a woman they will not help you. I went in seeking an offshore pole with a $500 budget for the entire setup. I had to ask for someone to help me at which the man came around the counter and showed me a rod only that was $600. Didn't care to help me (this was obvious), didn't listen to what I was asking for, so I left. After I left the store I was furious. I talked to two other girlfriends who fish and they had similar experiences! Unreal! In 2019 I'm shaking my head that men still act this way. Don't go here. Unless you are a man. But even if you are a man, picture these jerks treating your sister or wife or mother this way. read more

I always love coming into Strike Zone. Their customer service is amazing. I brought my son in and they took the time to teach him how to tie a uni knot and explained how to use everything he bought. They then gave him a free Strike Zone shirt and the employees all wished him good luck. I often go in to pick up items for my husband as well. They can read his text and pick out exactly what he needs. The employees are incredibly knowledgeable. I have been to other local fishing stores and the employees were not as knowledgeable and helpful. They go above and beyond to help me and make sure I have what my husband needs. For me, I have been getting my Olukai sandals and Costa sunglasses there for years now and they always have the best selections. read more

We enjoy fishing, it's our number one thing to do. So we obviously need a good, reliable source to fit all of our tackle needs. We decided to visit Strike Zone for the first time the other day, and we were very impressed. The building on the outside and inside is very beautiful. Lots of decorations, it made me feel like I was back in Key West. They have such a LARGE selection of tackle and supplies for amazing prices. The employees were extremely knowledgeable, more so than any other tackle store we've ever been to. We were able to stock up on our supplies and not break the bank too bad. Definitely our new go to spot! read more

Can't believe I haven't written a review for Strike Zone yet. I am here every year for Christmas gifts. Used to be here alot when I owned a boat. Probably one of the most well stocked stores in Jax for fishing and hunting gear. It's expensive but is a beautiful store for hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Make sure to head to the back of the store for an amazing north Florida wildlife setup. Been coming here for many years. read more

I worked in a highly successful and well respected tackle store full time on the west coast with a very similar high end set up as this for five years in college except we built our own rods, then part time at a mostly online tackle store you've likely heard of doing new poduct research PM me for legitimacy details if you're truly interested. I can assure you this place is awful, and lacking in professionalism in a big way. The staff I've dealt with is incredibly short and uninterested in any type of conversation. Working in tackle customers enjoy telling you fish stories (embellished or not) and your job is to entertain them and act interested. Don't expect that here. My shopping story: wanted to respool two reels with braid. I asked for 150yd on each reel. When I got to the register I was charged nearly $70 for a braid that's $0.15 a yard ($0.12 anywhere else in town) that's about $30 more than the requested amount. I was given the excuse "I filled it from your backing (braided line typically has mono backing otherwise it'd be $100 to fill a reel with all braided line.) When I was selling tackle it was expected you apply the requested amount of like and if you over filled that was on YOU for being off on the backing or, in this case, to lazy to spend 4 American minutes redoing the backing to reflect the amount of braid the customer requested. In my opinion it's totally unethical to charge customers for your own mistakes. Especially since the braid is typically at a 100% in crease (15 cents retail, wholesale likely pay 7 or 8 cents although other stores said their local distributor was running a bulk deal on the line I got....usually pass the savings on but whatever... distributor probably HENRYS or FOLSOM) Every store worth its salt has its bi monthly, or species specific guy who sepnds thousands but stores reputations are made and broken on guys who buy a ratLtrap, line, or leader material on a weekly basis. This store, by all accounts, cares purely for the big order guy. I will not be back here, I've experienced enough poor customer service and higher prices, and heard the reputation when I was active in the business. Whoever was spooling in the morning of January 7th needs some training in effort, spooling braid, ethics, And Customer service. read more

Amazing store. Great selection! The staff is nice and there is a lot more than fishing gear here.!

My parents (who are both in their 60s) visited the store on a recent visit up from Miami. My dad has been fishing since he was a little boy, so he loves to visit fishing stores everywhere he goes. Upon entering the store, the owner stared him down and stalked him up and down every aisle. My mom wanted to buy dad a shirt, so as they approached the register apparently the owner has a shrine to all the shoplifters he's caught. Bravo sir, I hope you're proud of profiling two older people who would never even jaywalk. read more

Rick in the Armory was awesome! His customer service skills are what you should expect from a company! He greeted my son and I immediately, even though he had 4 other customers waiting! My very bad customer service experience at shooters forced me to find a new firearms shop! This is it!! read more

Thanks for the amazing help, support and encouragement! I only buy my supplies from Strike Zone. Why, I'll tell you why. I can't express the help that has been given to me & my 3 children by their staff and most importantly David over the years. They showed them how to tie knots, even showed them how to spool and do simple repairs. They have been pleasant to work with when something broke or wasn't working from west and tear. It's nice to see a male dominate sporting shop assist women anglers as well as children who are now young adults. They is so supportive of our community. It makes me proud to have known them for years and years to come. Thanks y'all for being the " Best" , The Smith Family read more

My son was in a fishing tournament out of town. He needed a certain bait which he texted me a picture of. I called Strike Zone and spoke with Taylor. She was so helpful. She provided a number for me to text the picture to and was able to find something similar in the store and place it on hold for me. By the time I arrived my son needed something else. I walked in with the name of that bait, was taken right to the aisle where it was and was out of there quickly. The prices were very reasonable and competitive. Taylor and her colleagues provided superb customer service for which I was grateful. Thank you!!! read more

They do have plenty of section of fishing gears at a fair price. However, my experience was disappointing. We were looking for a tackle box and the ticket price was 69.99. when the registered ring up she told us the total was 119 I pointed out the tag price label. and she gave the bag to another man to confirm. They did not honor theirs own tagged price nor gave us a discount for their mistake on the label. We ended up not getting the bag. We did buy fishing hooks. I recommend to careful at the price/register they don't seem reliable. read more

Dave and the crew there have ALWAYS had what I've needed and go out of their way to make sure that the customer is happy.

I went here to find a fishing pole for my fiance. I had the same experience as the lady who commented a few posts below! I left because I absolutely will not buy anything from this store just because of that experience. read more

I would rate the store as a absolute beauty but with two complaints. The guns aren't very well labeled as to New or used or to what caliber. Also the staff were the reason I didn't purchase a gun, extremely rude and inattentive! I would recommend Gun Gallery right down the road! Much friendlier staff and a range with rentals to try out whatever gun you wish to purchase. read more

A fantastic store with nearly anything and everything you might want for all types of fishing. The staff is uber knowledgeable, too. They are, in many cases, on the high side for pricing but I think this store is geared for pros. read more

Every time I come in this place it's worse, I literally had to come here to pickup some bulk braid a few months back, not only was their price nearly double what I found it for on Amazon, but taking a second look around the store, I was followed closely by an employee. Naturally, this irritates me, so I put everything I had collected back to it's rightful spot and ordered everything online. I will never step foot in this store again. read more
