I explained that the inside ankles were just being destroyed almost instantly in my new sneakers (not from here). She told me that she sees it all the time. The cause is the cotton rubbing against the fabric of the shoe when walking or running. This was the best advice. So, the next time you think you are doing yourself a favor by purchasing $20 running socks from s specialty store, don't do it! Lesson learned. I found a great little pair of sneakers for walking/jogging that will be super light weight for travel. So far, I'm excited for my new purchase.
