We started exclusively going to Lowes as my daughter is a manager at the Florida store. I have found that I enjoy the experience of shopping there so much more than other big box stores. The employees are easy to find, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The layout makes it easy to find things and the app also has the location of items on it. I do want to give a huge shout-out to Zac - in flooring, who helped me on my last visit. I am going to be doing my backsplash in the kitchen and he was able to provide answers to my questions regarding trim. read more

My friend asked me to tag along on a trip to Lowe's on a Saturday evening as she needed some paint for the house project she had been working on. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the entire staff seemed friendly and approachable if we had any questions. We browsed a few other aisles while the paint was being mixed, and everything seemed to have great prices. Love the paint selection as there truly is every color for any palette, and love that you can get a sample amount to try before you commit to a color. Definitely recommend this location if you have any home project needs. read more

I go into Lowes in Chandler AZ 85224 quite often and fill the bed of my pickup with building materials. Until yesterday, no Lowes Employee has ever asked if I needed help. Yesterday, a young man named Keon noticed me buying 2 x 4's and plywood. He offered to help and spent 30 minutes with me loading up my cart. Why is this location placing young kids in this position with no support and why don't the senior members help them??? I went in for a battery charger and was sent all over the store. Inventory stated item was in store, but that was incorrect. The saving grace was the kind, customer service. My other items were readily available and met my other needs. Ended up ordering the Go eco battery online. Three stars for the fact that I love looking at their indoor plant selection time to time and whenever they get canna Lilly bulbs in. That's it. I've had SO many bad experiences with any sort of customer service at the "customer service" desk. I always happen to get the lady that hates her job and takes it out on everyone. Super friendly....NOT. Yesterday i had to make a couple returns, one was an outdoor plant and for some reason i forgot that I didn't pay in cash initially so I thought I'd get cash back. Not the case. It was returned to my husbands card(whoops forgot it at home) automatically. Cool. Okay. Easy. Second return comes up and it's for a propane tank my husband didn't want to spend 70 dollars on. So i told her I'd be back i wasn't sure if they needed his card to return an item which obviously I'm wasn't an issue on my last return. So i went back to the car to grab the propane tank and the lady basically tried to pawn it off to another coworker so she wouldn't have to deal with it. And you could see the hesitance in the very young guys face like he didn't want to do it or wasn't comfortable. Poor guy. So i pull up my receipt. He is having problems...go figure. Saw that coming a mile away like a deer in the head lights. He calls over grumpy customer service lady that he needs help. Ugh great. Guess what she says. We can't locate it. We need the card you purchased with. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?!?!?? NO! I do not have the card. You just returned my plants without a problem i have the receipt what in the hell is happening right now?! I tell her i have to go home and get it. So i drive the 7-10 minutes down the street to my house. Grab my husbands card and come all the way back. New lady is at the desk. This could be great or really bad. Here we go. She scans the receipt and prints out a ticket mind you...DID NOT NEED MY HUSBANDS CARD ONCE. "Your refund has been issued back to your original form of payment" I look at her or somewhere in complete and utter disbelief. I'm happy and angry all at once. Now i wouldn't be as angry If I didn't have my crazy 2 year old with me the entire process from start to finish. This old lady has no regrets or empathy obviously for others. It's clear as day. Wrong profession lady. Thank god for the other younger girl working made it such a breeze. I'm damn near tempted to call the store to complain I'm still so peeved. Don't tell your customers one thing and not even abide by it. Literally wasted time and gas. read more

I bought a dishwasher at this Lowe's. Lowe's subcontractor is CRS home solutions for delivery and installing it. First off, Lowe's send me a email with the delivery date. This was different than CSR's date. So their systems are not aligned. Then this company made 3 different dates to come and install. They didn't show up and didn't cancel over the phone any of these dates. This CRS home solutions company is the worst I ever dealt with. Lowe's is to blame to use them and not have the proper calendar interface set up with them. Make sure Never to use CRS home solutions (last mile) when you order and install something through Lowe's. read more

The garden section here seemed smaller than at other locations, although it could be due to the summer heat that not a lot of plants can be offered. I used the online curbside service for a few items yesterday. The app lets you check in and put the number of the parking spot you are in. I parked in #3 successfully checked in on the Lowe's app. The signage in the parking spot said to check in via the app or call. Seeing as though I felt I checked in via the app successfully..I didn't feel the need to call. So after waiting about 15 minutes I call the store. It rang for another 10 minutes. Finally a lady picks up and I let her know nicely that I've been waiting for about 15 minutes. She scolded me using her nasty tone ," that's why you call us". Just went in to purchase a keypad deadbolt lock for my front door. They had several brands and models on display up to $250. All have the try me sign with the code listed so you can see if you like the operation. Every one was dead. Also most were not mounted properly and didn't even work manually. Don't buy anything from this store you won't need or bought by mistake! I went in to return a dolly that I never used. I had intended on using it but UHaul messed up my order and offered me one for free(Moved from Ca to Az). When I got into this Lowe's (I got my credit card through this store from the 1st time I visited and spend $1000 on my first purchase), I was excited. Until I got to the customer service desk. Mary looked at me literally with disappointment. (As if to say you returned this product after your done using it?) So disappointed with the level of service I received from this Lowe's. She asked me if I had a receipt...I have them all emailed to me but I let her know I put it on my Lowe's card. No other Lowe's has ever had an issue looking up my receipt using their credit card. She is literally looking at me this entire time with disgust. I seriously felt like my business wasn't needed or appreciated. She walks away to talk to some manager...I wish I remembered her name. She walks up, looks at the dolly, looked at me and my son and says "Yes?" "Yes?! I didn't call you over, I'm trying to return this dolly" I explained that I bought it in Southern California and the condition it's in was in the same condition when I bought it. Her response "Oh so you bought it somewhere else?" Does it make a difference?! I saw the Store Managers name on the wall and I asked if that was her store manager and she said cocky "Yeah...he'll be in tomorrow!" She gave the impression that he wouldn't even want to hear about my issue or he wouldn't care. Look...Lowe's is suffering as it is. They let go of just about all their corporate team. They released all their middle management 2 years ago. They reduced the spiff payout 3 years ago. Maybe preventing or avoiding returns is how they plan to stay alive. Don't buy anything from this store you won't need or bought by mistake! I've always recommended Lowe's, but after this experience I would recommend Home Depot, unless you know 100% you got what you needed. read more

I should have paid more attention to the reviews before I bought a refrigerator from Lowes. They sold me on basically same price as Home Depot across the street but offered a 1 year interest free payment option as opposed to 6 months offered by Home Depot. Deal. Unfortunately that cost me over an hour and a half passing a phone back and forth to get their credit (my rating is 850+). Apparently the "system" had issues. Multiple managers were involved who could not figure it out. The install people were rude and never even finished taking the plastic film off the doors of the refrigerator doors. Then I tried paying half the first month and was given such a run around it drove me nutts so I just paid it totally off. Then cancelled the card. What a pain in the ass for a consumer to go through! What use is the 0 % interest incentive? its a joke! On top of that the veteran discount is not offered for appliances. I didnt know that either. Next time Ill go to Home Depot. The incompetency of Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dumbass. We need a simple piece of lumber cut, simple measurements. First, we wait 10 minutes and then track someone down. "Manager" pages someone to help. 10 minutes later, no help. Go find someone a second time, their thumbs were too far up their ass to page anyone again. Finally Tweedle Dum comes around the corner sauntering and playing on his phone. Had to repeat our measurements four times to him. We give up. I'll go somewhere else. read more

Contacting the store sometimes works, but they only tell you what they think you want to hear. They give you empty promises and DO NOT deliver. Do you know that "lost in a hardware store with no help down any aisle" feeling? You think you spot an employee, but then they've vanished around a corner. Or worse, they miss you by a second and start helping another customer who needs help building an underground nightclub or a ladder to Mars... from scratch. Not fun. This Lowe's has never burdened me with any of those hassles! They've got more than enough people walking around, mostly eager to help. We did run into a socializing group of employees tucked away in the garden center, but they were quick to disband when we came by to ask for guidance. And, they've got more than enough inventory to handle your project. We were able to locate every piece for an outdoor raised gardening planter, including suitable alternatives for nearly every item, and even a kit that would have done the trick if only we had a bigger budget. The Lowe's website is also fantastic with all sorts of DIY plans and ideas. This store is one of the most poorly managed stores that I've been in. I rarely yelp but feel the need to advise consumers and stockholders that Lowe's bring retail to an entirely new basement for customer service. I saw a patio table on my way to check out. I chose not to try to hunt down a sales associate because they all seem to congregate at the front door where you're told, several times, to have a great day. That's just fine but my day would be "greater" if I received a modicum of customer service while shopping. When I got home and looked at the website, the patio table I wanted to purchase was not listed. I called the store. I was transferred three times and then hung up on after 11 minutes. I called back. After a brief apology, I was transferred to a "manager" who chose to let the phone ring for 7 minutes. I gave up. Unbelievable. read more

They have pretty much anything you would need for home remodel or small projects you just need to know what you want to use. I placed 2 orders for pickup in a storage locker - one order a multimeter, the other for trash bags. As I'm getting the items from pickup lockers I was standing 2 feet away from a guy in customer service - he was in his 20's, dark black curly hair. I said hi to him, he said hi to me. I immiedately tried walking out after getting my orders, the door beeps, I assume because of the multimeter. I assumed the guy in customer service would waive me through because he literally saw me pickup the items. All of the items were in lowes bags with a blue sticker with my name and order number. Instead he comes over and grabs my cart in a fist - like he thought I would run out. He pulls my cart to customer service to lookup my orders. He verifies I bought the multimeter. At this point he should have let me go. Instead he asks for my phone number and I see him lookup the trash bags! I tell him im not stealing trash bags. He verifies I bought the trash bags but he then starts inspecting the trash bags, I have no idea why? He literally watched me take them out of a pickup locker. They were in lowes bags with a blue sticker that said my name and order. Why is he inspecting my trash bags? I told him i bought them and im not wasting any more time and left. I really felt like a criminal, it felt like he was profiling me. If I was going to steal something do you think I would do it in front of a lowes employee, just for trash bags ????
