Over the years we have bought almost every appliance in our home from Spencer's. While they are not perfect they tend to be a good value with timely service. This week after nine years of reliable service our dishwasher threw a fatal code and of course we called Spencer's and arranged for replacement. Turns out the install team couldn't remove the old dishwasher but could damage our granite countertop and jerk around our base cabinetry. They then demanded more money. Unamused I told them we will expect Spencer's to repair the damage and asked to the unqualified install team to leave. Calls and texts to Spencer's management went unreturned. Initially promised a call back in 45-minutes following a "purchasing meeting" that was apparently more important than a disappointed repeat customer, we were then told the "operations manager" would call us before the end of the day. That was yesterday and there has been no call, and it's just as well. When our problem was deferred to the "end of the day" I knew we were done with Spencer's. The good news is Ernie from E&J appliance repair was able to extract the old dishwasher without further damage to our kitchen. The problem was a screw-down foot at the back of the old dishwasher that would not retract. Until that was broken off the old dishwasher was stuck behind a tile floor that had been in place prior to Spencer's initial installation 9-years ago. We are now in the market for a new dishwasher and no it will NOT come from Spencer's. All we want from Spencer's is where to send the bill for repairing our granite countertop. read more

Purchased a Samsung TV for $5,000 and it doesn't work. Was told we had to follow protocol prior to having it replaced, which was to have a Spencers tech out, then if that didn't resolve the issue, a Samsung rep came out. Waited a couple days for them to replace the optic cord. Followed protocol and it still doesn't work. Now Gary the sales rep says he can't do anything. His boss will need to do the return authorization, but of course he's not working today and no one will call him. so another 2 days wasted and entire month of back and forth. Yeah the unit was delivered by Gregory in a perfect and professional manner. But this is not the Stove we wanted. We wanted a Stove with safer Knobs and an Air Fryer Oven and we're well aware of Restocking fees and the cost for the additional options. Well Spencer's charge 50% restocking fees we have not used the Stove and insured it was covered etc. I got the feeling they didn't care after they made the sale. read more

We were told our appliances would be in in 2 to 3 weeks, after 3 weeks, we called and we're told the appliances have been in for 3 days. Wish they would have called to schedule the delivery and not us tracking the down. That was disappointing. The installers were fabulous, wish they would have moved the washing machine and sidekick up against the wall rather than centering it in the middle of the laundry room. They did move it over some, but still a large gap where things will fall down and be list between the wall and the very heavy clothes washer with sidekick. Hope this is used to improve servive. We will still shop at Spencer's. read more

I wish I had read reviews here before buying rather than relying on a few neighbors suggesting I come here. We bought a new KitchenAid dishwasher in August, 2024. It is now November, 2024 and one rack is rusting and has damaged some of my white plates. I went to the store and was told to contact their contracted repair company. I asked what the solution would be if the next rack rusts again, as it was so soon after purchase, and the manager told me that "if you get run down by a car once, what are the odds it would happen again?" This was completely weird and inappropriate. I should have answered, "I shopped at Spencers once, what are the odds of that happening again?" The repair company said they don't replace parts. I had to call KA. The repair company essentially agreed with me that the sales people don't really know about the warranty and repair process as they get referred a lot of people who they can't help. They clearly don't stand behind the brands they sell or really want to help you after the sale. read more

I am extremely frustrated with my customer service experience at Spencer's TV & Appliance. I purchased a washing machine from their Mesa location, and it broke within six weeks. Instead of replacing the appliance--which would have been the reasonable solution--I was told I had to wait for a repair part. That part is back-ordered, and Spencer's has made it clear they are not willing to do anything else in the meantime. I have now been without a functioning washing machine for over two weeks, and by the time the repair is completed it will be three to four weeks, with absolutely no guarantee that the repair will even fix the underlying issue. The machine caused significant damage to my laundry room, and I have had to spend money at laundromats just to keep up with basic laundry while Spencer's refuses to expedite the situation. I contacted customer service and was told someone would follow up in a week--unacceptable given the circumstances. I then contacted their corporate office, spoke to someone, received no return call, and when I called back the following day, I was simply told the same thing: they will do nothing until the part arrives and they "see if it fixes the problem." I have spent thousands of dollars with Spencer's over the years, and to see this level of indifference and unwillingness to help is disappointing and ridiculous. I will be posting this review on Google, Yelp, and multiple platforms so other customers are aware of the lack of support when something goes wrong. read more

My daughter told us about Paul as we had to purchase a new dryer last year when we were out of town. We went with the LG side by side as it had everything we wanted, he gave us a great deal on the floor model as none in stock and they would not expect more in until sometime in August. Our current Whirlpool which was 10 years old had a broken refrigerator door. Diego delivered and installed this morning. He was great and although getting the old one out and new one in, it was a tight fit, but he was so polite and did not act like it was going to be any problem at all. Manager kevin kowalski from the 43rd ave glendale store was dismissive rude and tried to blame my plumber instead of his delivery drivers.
