I bought a Nintendo Switch at Store 177 for $456.10 over a year ago. It sat unopened in the box the whole time because of a move. When I finally took it out, one controller wouldn't actuate at all. Everything else was brand new and untouched. First I took just the controllers in. They asked if I had an extended warranty, I said no, but they told me it would still be okay if I brought the whole unit. So I went back a second time with the entire Switch. Then the guys acted like they'd never seen me or the stuff before. I asked for a manager and the duty supervisor showed up. He said the exchange looked good but refused anyway because of their 15-day policy. I showed my bank statement with the store number on it. Still no help. I asked for the regional manager's contact information and he handed me a Best Buy customer service card -- the same one I had already looked up while waiting for them to fumble around. Then I asked him to take my info and escalate it to his GM. He said he didn't have a number, told me to hold on, went to another desk, came back with a GM business card and said just email him because he gets customer emails all the time. I told him I asked for contact information, not just a number. He said "no you asked for his number." I said no, I asked for contact info, but thanks anyway and left. On top of everything, when I looked at the bad controller I noticed dry glue under the kickstand. Pretty sure it was refurbished and sold to me as new. I just bought a TV and extra controllers that are still in the return window. Those are going back Saturday. Too bad the scooter is just outside the date or it would be gone too. For a $25 controller this store just lost a loyal customer for good. I will never be back. Stay away from Store 177 if you don't want the headache and the runaround. 1 star. read more

I had just returned from a camera shop that said the footage on my video camera was gone! I then went to this store to get a 2nd opinion because I was ready to have a mental breakdown. What was on my video camera was irreplaceable. I gave the camera to Marc and Nico and they worked tirelessly with the end result- my footage was there! Stopped by 6/13/25 around 2 p.m. and headed to the Geek Squad. We were greeted by two staff members at the desk to exit. The Greek Squad member who helped us was Ray. He answered all our questions and looked up the TV that needed to be fixed. I definitely recommend getting Geek Squad Protection, which enhances your manufacturer warranty and gives you extended coverage when the warranty ends. I would never recommend Best Buy. I've been a customer for years and last year. My spouse purchased a Geek Squad and antivirus from them. We told them we don't want auto renewal and they claimed something was mailed out. My spouse had a heart attack a couple of months ago. We didn't look at the Best Buy account as we paid the entire bill months before and didn't charge anything. We got a text message today and looked at our account and they did auto renewed. I called Best Buy and explained the situation. (Keep in mind I never have ever been late since I had their Credit Card.). They said they couldn't refund the entire amount. I spoke with a Manager and he also said they couldn't refund it. We are taking about a charge of about $250. They prorated the refund so I am getting charged $54. I will pay it but they lost a long time customer. Take my advice, do not buy Best Buy services. They lie about things and you lose $$$. read more

During the appt for my laptop cleaning the associate ray was extremely disrespectful and his manager Mario refused to come up to the front to actually help with the process of getting my laptop checked in to get it cleaned. Then the charger was gone and the associate was like we don't have chargers for the laptop you need to go back to your apt and get your charger and then they were like we need you to get something to back it up to. Then after all the trials and tribulations of the actual ordeal the associate Ray still had an attitude and that coming from a person that was raised with modern family morals to say the least. Employees are always friendly and ready to help with any questions you got. I was able to find a laptop at a decent price with decent memory, HD space, and I got a discount for office since it was purchased with the laptop. On February 4 I purchased a battery back up and surge protector from APC. As we were looking at the package at the store I specifically asked the clerk if it was an open box and he stated no it wasn't, that there would be a tag on it. Taking him at his word I went to my clients house and opened the packs age. Inside the box was a recipe saying that it had been bench tested by the manufacture or bestbuy service and had passed. This would in fact mean the item was returned or a refurbished item and not new as sold. This would all be fine if the Best Buy customer service would have taken me a little more seriously. When I brought the paperwork back and showed them the error they denied that it was an open box. When I pushed a little harder he said it may have been returned to the manufacture but all he could do is swap it out fOr a new one. That would involve a 4 hour or round trip because it is at my clients house in Sedona. He then said "you could talk to the manager but it would take a while and I don't know what he could even do". Selling used or refurbished equipment as new is illegal. Accidents happen but how you deal with the accidents is why you have a 3 star rating on Yelp. I called geek squad to schedule an appointment to get a sports photo verified, someone I knew said they sent their baseball cards in there and geek squad was able to send it in to a company to verify the items. When I called, I talked to about five different agents and they finally set me an appointment for 20 minutes later and when I went to my appointment, I did wait a bit which was not an issue. It was just as soon as I walked up. The the employee was like oh, are you here for the picture to get verified if it's real or not and I said oh no, I want you guys to send it into JSA company so I can have a form stating the authentication. He quickly said oh no we don't do that. If we did do that I would have them authenticate my Pokémon cards ect. Which makes no sense because how in your system are you able to set an appointment to get a picture verified but then I come in and you can't verify it nor can you send it in to anywhere to have it verified! Makes no sense! Wasted my time! I waited 20 minutes past my set time at 3:40 and waited till 4:05/4:10 ish to get told basically that I have no clue what I'm talking about:( read more

Employees do their own thing here. We walked in on a not so busy Wednesday, around 1:30 pm and they were all having a get together in the middle. They kept on talking about whatever it was they were talking about and didn't seem to care about the customers around them. We walked around as we didn't need any help. We reached the home appliances department and here is where we were finally asked if we were doing ok. The employee was friendly and he even chatted to us about some other stuff and told us their deals. We made it back towards the electronics area and we saw an employee walk the longer way around to avoid making contact with us while looking down the whole way... We ended up getting a few things as we had a gift card we wanted to use. The selections were limited and they were out of so many products. Well, I really wanted to leave this Best Buy a 5 star review but after buying their highly recommended extended warranty I sadly have to leave a one star review. So two and a half years ago I bought a Samsung fridge and I also purchased the 5 year extended warranty. Recently, after it was serviced (by BestBuy) it sounded like a jackhammer when we tried to dispense water from it. So we scheduled in-home service online with the "special-forces geek squad" or whatever their marketing name is. So for the first scheduled service nobody showed up. It was scheduled from 8am-5pm. No calls, no confirmation, nothing. At around 530pm I called bestbuy and they rescheduled my service for a week later. A week comes and goes. Nobody shows up for the next service. I call the 877 number and I am told it's an hour and forty minute wait. So I don't wait. I call the local BestBuy and I get a hold of the manager. Now, the manager tells me that my best option is to either fix it myself or get a local repairman to fix the issue. So I ask if I can get my $249 (or whatever the extended warranty was) refunded. Of course not, that is impossible. Anyways, that's my experience with the local BestBuy, my in-store experience was great. I truly wish I could have left them better review. read more

Our GE Profile dishwasher quit unexpectedly but it was 17 years old. I set out to find a replacement with installation as soon as possible. The first two places either did not have the desired model in stock or could not install within a reasonable time frame. When I went to Best Buy Ahwatukee I was assisted by Reyna. She had the right model in stock and worked with me to find an approved installer who could schedule me within 2 days, much better than the 2 week time frame offered by the other vendors. Installer showed up on time and quickly completed the work. Unit works great and is a great step up from what we had previously. This Best Buy is now my choice for all home appliance and electronic needs in the future. read more

Unfortunately, they decided to deliver it while I was out of town. Since no one was there to sign, they took it back and returned the PC. I had to call them multiple times to get this resolved. Flash forward to a week later, my order status has been "preparing for pickup today" for 4 days. I ended up cancelling my order because it was absolutely ridiculous. Missing the days of good Best Buy service Visited this Best Buy for Christmas gifts. Store is clean and easy to navigate, with attractive display areas for Samsung, Apple, and video games. The knocks against it are the poor service and prices. Looking for two gifts on our list of extended family, the prize for a Braun razor was $30 higher than on Amazon. An electric toothbrush was about $14 more. On the side, I looked at some earbuds for my computer. Decided against it as it wasn't a need and prices were high on the other items. When we stopped in at Ross a store down the row? You guessed it: Same ear buds for $20 less! Customer service here is really odd. Walking by the computers, three people were eager to help us but two couldn't answer a quick question about video cards versus Intel on-chip video support for recent games. In the phones, a cheery lady asked if she could help. I asked her if Best Buy had any deals on iPhone 6s. She said no... AND JUST WALKED AWAY. Not one more word or a glance. Stepping up to buy a DVD on my daughter's list, there were three young guys and not one of them was at their register until I pointed at them and then the registers.
