Problem assessed and troubleshot (shooted?)
Tom E.

January 15, 2026, Adam returned to our home with nearly every part needed to renew our December, 1997 Kenmore Heavy Duty Dryer. It took 31 years for the motor sealed ball bearing at the fan end to fail. Not bad. $370 plus the first $75 service visit and analysis, $445 total. All Original Equipment Manufacturer (Whirlpool) parts. Adam is an Ace repair technician. $800+ for an equal type dryer right now. This repair will last the rest of our lives, plus.

Water Leak & Millions of Mold Spores. After having Starfix complete a repair we have experienced property damage, loss of use of part of our home, out-of-pocket inspection costs, laundromat expenses, and no meaningful resolution in sight. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering Starfix to ask very detailed questions about how repair-related damage claims are handled, their licensing status, and what happens if something goes wrong after their work is completed. We hired Starfix to replace our washer water pump on February 16th. Upon the first use of the washer after that repair, a severe water leak occurred that spread through our laundry room, garage, hallway, and bathroom walls. When Armen came out to inspect the leak, he did not identify himself as the owner. When I had initially reached out on Yelp his response stated they are licensed yet as of recent searches I have been unable to find Armen or Starfix on Arizona's ROC site. Armen has deferred to insurance rather than stepping in to help rectify the situation directly while the claim has been delayed over a month's time. A restoration company first inspected the damage on March 2nd and a second inspection took place on March 4th with the restoration company and the insurance adjuster. We submitted the remediation company report and quote to Next Insurance on March 5th, and the insurance adjuster submitted his report to Next on March 6th. Despite having that documentation no timely claim determination or approval for mitigation costs was provided while conditions continued to worsen. We paid $800 out of pocket for a microbial inspection on March 16th as high levels of moisture remained in the walls for the entire month while the claim remained unresolved. The report found extremely high mold levels consistent with recent water damage. The hallway wall cavity sample showed 1,200,000 total fungal spores per cubic meter of air, compared to an outside baseline of 370, including 970,000 Penicillium/Aspergillus-like spores and 27,000 Chaetomium spores. Mold exposure is well documented to be associated with respiratory and allergic symptoms, and can pose greater concern for people who are immunocompromised such as myself. The report stated that remediation should begin right away. Remediation was estimated at approximately $9,500. Starfix's insurance company has taken the position that we should have remediated sooner to prevent further damage or involved homeowners insurance. That is completely unacceptable. No upfront remediation cost should occur or outside insurance should be involved due to a leak that began immediately after Starfix's repair. The claim process has caused an extreme amount of stress, time and energy. On March 20th we were told there may be another 30-45 days before any determination. We were also told microbial-related issues were not covered, despite the fact that the microbial growth followed the leak that occurred immediately after the repair. There were also repeated issues around the adjuster report, including being told it had not been received even though the adjuster had proof it was submitted. I wish I had done more research before hiring Starfix, and I hope others do before making the same decision so they do not end up facing the same financial burden, disruption, and mold-related health concerns that followed our experience.

Alison the person who booked appointments was so easy to work with and always followed up after the job was finished. I used this company to also fix my HVAC system, install a new unit, and service my HVAC units 2x/year. I recently called them and realized they are temporarily closed. Does anyone know why or where I can reach them.

If you meet him, you'll probably notice that English isn't his first language, but don't let that discourage you. He understood and accomplished EVERYTHING I asked of him, he clearly knows his craft inside and out, and he brought a level of care and precision to the job that's rare to find. Konstantin also showed up on time every day, and Fuse was extremely responsive via Yelp with responding to several questions and concerns I had along the way. I'm a difficult customer to please -- I have very high standards when it comes to work being done in my home, and I'm extremely particular about the details. Most companies end up showing visible frustration with my level of involvement and scrutiny, but not Konstantin. Throughout the entire process, he remained polite, friendly, patient, and accommodating. My old A/C system wasn't keeping my home cool enough on the hottest days, and I had significant temperature differences between rooms. After researching extensively, I decided I wanted a 3-ton Bosch inverter-driven package unit installed on my roof, which requires very specialized installation techniques to ensure maximum energy efficiency. I did a ton of research and geeked out about this before hiring anyone so I could identify which technician was the most knowledgeable. Konstantin definitely knew what he was doing. I chose to hire Fuse because it was clear to me that Konstantin wasn't cutting any corners. During his first visit, he began performing a full Manual J load calculation and a Manual D duct design to ensure the system and ductwork were properly sized for my home. He also told me that he would perform airflow testing at every register to confirm that airflow was balanced and consistent throughout the house. This overall attention to detail was something I didn't see from other contractors I spoke to. During the initial assessment, Konstantin also found duct leaks and showed a video of the issue, proving that the issue was real. I knew my ducts were dirty after having tile removed recently, so I requested a full duct replacement instead of just sealing the leaks, and he handled the job thoroughly. As part of the system, I also had an Ecobee thermostat installed with remote temperature sensors in every room. Thanks to Konstantin's precise installation, every room in my house now stays at the same temperature, or within 1 degree, regardless of whether doors are open or closed, or what time of day it is. I had stressed repeatedly how important airtight ducts were to me for energy efficiency, and Konstantin delivered. In fact, the duct sealing was so effective that I occasionally have to bring fresh air into the house manually. Otherwise, the CO2 levels rise and the thermostat lets me know we've literally breathed up all the fresh air, LOL. All in all, this job exceeded my high expectations on every front. The work done was meticulous, well-informed, and executed with care. The installation also passed city inspection without a hitch. I highly recommend hiring them!

We have had A&E come out for a few different issues over the years, and we've had nothing but great…read moreservice and awesome techs--I was genuinely surprised to see that other people have had such radically different experiences. 1) We had an ice-maker fail in a fridge. We put in a service ticket through American Home Shield, and had an appointment two days later. The technician showed up on time, was really pleasant, and ordered the part. When the part was received, they showed up two days after that and did the install--again showing up on time, completing the work quickly and being pleasant and efficient. 2) My parents have had A&E come out to deal with all the mischief with their Samsung refrigerator-from-hell. The techs who have been out there have been on-time, every time, and patiently dealt with that undergrad-engineering nightmare of a refrigerator without using any of the words *I* deployed in trying to figure it out. 2) The most recent issue--a dryer that needed roller-replacement--Put in a ticket with American Home Shield on Wednesday night, and received an appointment slot on Friday. We received an update to give us a more specific time that the tech would arrive, the tech called and sent a text to let us know he was on his way, and he showed up on time. Sage was great--he gave our dryer a thorough check, and identified a couple of other things in addition to the rollers that were not quite right. He checked on parts availability, let us know when they were expected to arrive, and gave us a time frame on when to expect the next service call to be scheduled. Did I mention that Sage was great? Friendly, polite, pleasant, efficient, and NICE. A&E has already set another appointment for them to come out to replace the parts. While they're being paid through the warranty, we were still provided an estimate of the cost of the repair--which was definitely reasonable for the parts, two tech visits, and the labor for the repair. If I weren't getting A&E through the home warranty, I'd be calling them anyway because the service, the techs, and the communication have all been outstanding.

Wasn't really concerned with the repair being made until I noticed the technician watching someone…read moreelse doing it on YouTub... . Tech broke the old piece they removed, again raising some concerns over how they were treating our appliance.
