Sultan came out to service my dryer which had a button stuck inside the door. A very simple issue turned into a catastrophe, as he ripped off a metal ring from the dryer drum and could not get the pieces back in/on. I had a fully operable dryer before he came out.... he then told me it would be $600 to fix and I told him no way. I paid the $99 service fee, which later was refunded after 2 days of back and forth. They actually defended what he did. Here are the photos. Don't trust this service. Now I have to buy a new $1000 set because he couldnt remove a simple button. We have an expensive under counter ice-maker that is only 4 years old and no longer under warranty. We had another appliance repair company come out and tell us we needed a new part that was $1500. A brand new ice-maker is $3000; so we declined. We thought we'd get a second opinion from Lux Appliance and good thing we did. He said it was missing a $50 part and needed a thorough cleaning even tho we had a filter on it. For under $400 and several hours later-the machine was running like new. They are well educated on high end appliances and very fair and honest. Won't hesitate to use them in the future. read more

I would never use them again. Alek came out to fix a washer that another company dumped detergent in it. 1st off, he could not figure out how to take the top off and wanted to use a putty knife. Did not see the screws. When he put it back together, he did not align it up and he had to come back to fix that. I set a time to do the rollers on my dryer. He came out and took it all apart. Started to put it back together, but said that the dryer would still make noise even with the new rollers he put in, as the seam on the drum was messed up. I asked him what I need to do to get that fixed, and he had no idea. He then started to put the dryer back together, and something did not feel right as I asked him if the rollers he took out were back and he said, "uhhh". So I asked him where the old rollers he took off were, and he said in his truck. I told him that I wanted them. HE told me that he had to take them back to the shop. I asked why he needed to take my old rollers back, and he said to prove that he did the job. I told him he can take pictures, but I want them back. He got nervous and went out to get them. I walked out with him. He got them and was coming towards me saying, "they are almost new" still acting very odd and nervous. I said, what do you mean that they are almost new? are you saying that they did not need to be replaced? He then got even more nervous and said that no, these one (the ones that he handed me) were the new ones and that the old ones are still in my dryer. Said that the rollers were the wrong ones. At that point I knew he was trying to cheat me by charging me for new rollers and not putting them in. I yelled at him, telling him to put my dryer back together and get out, and how dare he lie and try to steal from me. I called the office, but kept getting their AI saying that everyone was on a call and someone would call me back ASAP. I called quite a few times, getting the same thing. I came to find out the next day that they were all gone for the day. So if there was an emergency, we could not get a hold of them. There were so many other shady things happening with Alek. He tried to then tell me that he was going to tell me and was going to adjust my bill. I told him, "no you were not, you are going to give all my money back". When I first told him to put my GE dryer back together and get out, and was calling the office, he got on his cell and started doing things. I went outside and left messages for them. When I came back in he showed me his phone that said the rollers were not in the dryer. I know he was adding that AFTER I found out he lied and tried to scam me and confronted him on that. He then has the nerve to say that he can order the right rollers and come back and fix it. I told him I never want him back in my house. He said that I will get my money back because the dryer was not fixed. I told him that I will get my money back because he lied to me and tried to scam me. I will never use them again. not sure how they got all their great reviews on their site but I am adding this to every board that is out there so that others do not get ripped off from them. I have GE coming in this week to do the job. I spoke with the office the next day. They refunded the money they took from me and she said, I have worked with Alek for a long time, and he is a good technician. I told her I have to disagree and why (Not knowing how to open a washer, not knowing what to do about the drum (replace it), not aligning the washer front, trying to cheat me), and her response was, "well, you can have your option". RESPONSE TO ELI's RESPONSE Your response is totally incorrect. When Alek arrived, I mentioned that there was a finger-sized gap in the drum to him and wanted him to look at. He did not find that. When he took the dryer apart and showed it to me from the top and not from the inside, I asked him how do we fix it and he said he had no idea. Now to the main point of my review. Your tech lied to me and tried to scam me, saying that he put new rollers in when in fact he had not. He was nervous because he was caught. He was going to charge me for new rollers that he said were the wrong rollers, and the pin was wrong. I was recording him from my cell when he went out to get the rollers and back peddled to when he was leaving, saying that he can order the correct rollers and come back to fix it which my response was that I would never want him back and I wanted my money back. He then said that he would get my money back because the job was not done. I told him that I was getting my money back because he lied to me and tried to steal from me and did not get do the job. (ALL THIS I HAVE ON VIDEO). My review stands to let everyone know what kind of company this is. I do not want Lux to lie or steal from others as Alek tried to do with me. My fridge suddenly stopped working on a Saturday and I called everywhere until I found Lux who were the only ones working on a Saturday. Marcus showed up within like 20 minutes! Unfortunately my compressor was broken which is expensive! Marcus was awesome and told me my fridge is only 4 years old and GE has a 5 year warranty so it should be covered and free! He helped me register my fridge with Ge and set up an appointment for them to come out this week. My dryer broke on a Sunday morning, and I was able to call Lux Appliance Care and have a technician come to my home within a matter of hours. Service technician, Akiva, came to fix my dryer. He was professional, and very knowledgeable. He was able to figure out the issue I was having on my dryer in less than an hour, but he also decided to double check other common problems with dryers to verify everything else was in order. Overall I think I paid a total of $200 with my service charge applied to that. If i ever had appliance issues again, I would reach out to Lux Appliance Care. read more

My Dryer was heating, but sometimes we would drag the clothes and sometimes it wouldn't have happened. Do it 3 or 4 × 4 to finish drying repair and came out. Speak to her back at the dryer. Look inside the dryer and say it was my heating element that was bad. It was known say what calls about $400 for a new heating element. Well, I'm out $799. I went and bought a new dryer from home depot when they came out and they took the dryer, a loose. It was all full of lint, There was a kink in the vent line. Being 77 and handicapped. I cannot pull the dryer out or even check the hand there. That's what he was supposed to diagnose. So now I'm out $799. Then I had to go buy a new dryer. Not good not good at all. Our dryer wouldn't start, so we paid the 75$ to have them come look at it, the person took 5 minutes to tell us the control board was fried and we needed a new one, 500$. We got a second opinion from a contractor and that person replaced a blown fuse and refused payment because of the simple fix. This company will up charge you with no hesitation. read more

This company is horrible. I had an in wall refrigerator repair that needed to be done. I had already had a tech out from a different company to assess it. I explained to Eli at Lux what the issue was and asked if it was possible to repair it. He assured me he could, after telling me about 10 different parts that needed to be repaired. They repaired everything except the specific part I asked them to repair. The refrigerator was still operating before they came, but it just wasn't operating properly. So they came out and basically rebuilt the entire refrigerator, price gauging all along the way. Well, they didn't repair it and my tenant had about $500 in food go bad. Eli assured me they would cover the cost of the lost food since they made a bad repair. After contacting them 4 times about the reimbursement I decided it wasn't worth my time to continue contacting them to hear their run around responses over and over. Each time they told me they were going to send it, and never did. They also didn't refund me for the transaction fee for the repair. So it cost me $80 for the transaction fee, as well as $500 that I reimbursed my tenant, and the fridge was never fixed. Please trust me when I tell you that you will regret working with this company. I have 50 airbnbs and have worked with many vendors, and these guys are horrible. The entire process took about 2.5 weeks from when I initially contacted them, to when they got the parts, to when they tried to make the repair. They also cancelled on us 2 times on the day they were supposed to come assess their incorrect repair. All while my tenants had no refrigerator for 2.5 weeks. These guys are con artists, and they are not men of their word. There's many appliance repair companies out there, and all of them will give you better service, better communication, and they do what they say the are going to do. read more
