I have been going to Ace for Decades, BECAUSE of their service and how they treat their customers, as if they want to keep them! Today I went in because I had bought a 6 pack of LED flood light bulbs for our kitchen, when only 2 were bad at that time. Now it is 6 months later, and in trying to use the other new bulbs I found that only 1 of the 4 worked, and the rest were defective from the factory! I took the box back with the receipt, when the cashiers told me that THEIR WARRANTY to exchange or return items is only 30 days, even though the warranty from the manufacturer is 5 years. Therefore if I try to exchange defective items after 31 days, they will refer me to the manufacturer. I realize that each Ace is privately owned, which is why I try to patronize them whenever possible. Unfortunately I cannot count on them given their rigid policy, so I guess I will go to Home Depot from now on, as they would have exchanged these defective bulbs after 6 months, regardless of their store policy. There is such a thing as the "spirit of the law" versus the "Letter of the law", and even the big box stores will look at the facts before chasing customers away. Too bad that the owner of this Ace stores does not give their people the latitude to make decisions that will maintain their customer relations, especially when they could have easily exchanged these bulbs with their distributor. UPDATED on 5/27/26: Since leaving this review I reached out to the manufacturer of these bulbs, and they then sent me 3 more bulbs to replace these non-working ones. I also received an e-mail from a manager of the company, when they advised me that they wanted to make this right, and that I could return to the store to exchange these bulbs. I replied that I had already had them replaced by the manufacturer, but I greatly appreciate their review and willingness to follow through in this exchange. I now understand that nothing is returnable at Ace after 30 days, just like with Amazon! I will return back to Ace in the future, but I will have to check everything within their 30 day return period in order to avoid this issue again. Any warranty claims may only be resolved directly with the manufacturer. read more

Last summer my wife said she wanted to buy me a smoker for Father's Day! She had one all picked out on Home Depot's website. I told her absolutely not! Ace delivers and installs all their grills for no additional charge that cost over a certain dollar amount. I think it's $399. Even though Ace features Traeger products, they sell other brands as well. We ended up buying a Recteq. The smoker arrived a day or two prior to when the website stated it would. Ruggiero's Ace had a couple guys deliver it to our house and they had it set up very quickly. The smoker has worked flawlessly ever since. And I use it a lot! We buy all our supplies from there as well. I realize that you can buy spice blends, sauces and pellets for less elsewhere, but will you get better service? And I always use the Ace app. There are some good deals to be had on there! read more

Used to go in here quite often, but I was quite disappointed when I went in today. I went in to have a key made, I went to the counter and stood there for several minutes, not off to the side, or looking at anything else, the two 12-year-olds behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me, much less say they'll be with me in a moment. One was wearing earbuds and probably couldn't hear anything. The store was downright gloomy and dark. Not welcoming like it used to be. The lady cashier at the front tried to be a little more helpful, but I already had a bad taste in my mouth. At least I got a bag of popcorn and petted the store cat. read more

Talk about service! Yesterday, our water softener was being installed and I needed bags of salt. I look online to see and make sure it's in stock at a few places. After realizing each bags weighs 40lbs I decided to drive to Ace Hardware because I know the parking lot is right there and not as much walking around the store. Anyway, I drive there and see the bags of salt right there on the curb. I reverse in as close as possible for easy access. I go into the store and tell the young man that I needed 4 bags of salt and pay. He then ask me if I needed assistance with lifting in my car. Ummm, ok. Wait, so I paid the same as I would anywhere else and he helped me put it in my car?! Thank you!! I'll be using this place for all my salt needs...and more. read more

AJ is a gem!! I went in looking for a part that I had that was defective. Ace did not have the part in the size I needed and AJ would not rest without a solution. Fantastic customer service. She was able to pull the plastic off of my part so I could go home and use it. That definitely made me feel how genuine the business is that even if they don't have the part they will still help. read more

This location charges over retail for Traeger seasoning. Ask them to price match Traeger msrp and they said "it's only a dollar over". Problem is I buy a lot of it and will never return to this location. I also purchased other supplies while there but won't be returning. I will gladly buy on Amazon and pay retail. read more

Wow what a cluster: Placed an online order for 10 hooks. Came in and was told only 6 in stock. Online inventory is a mess! Called to check on order originally after 3hrs passed from original order. No one was picking up the phone. Came into the store and they had no idea where the items were. Had to get another clerk, that proceeded to grab them from behind the counter (online pick up shelves). Overall: Unorganized, not a way to run a business. On top of that, the items were not the right dimension as listed. Not likely to come back. read more

They are in the middle of remodel and this review is taking consideration of this. Bottle of lysol concentrate is on the shelf for 5.99 , rang up at 17 dollars. Alcohol wipes not marked with price in two diffrent locations within the store. Rang up at 4.99 ea. Very very long line and wait time for even the most simple transaction. Employees do not seem to have an assigned work flow resulting in one employee being overwhelmed with customers and others standing around asking is they should help!! I've worked retail prior to this for over 15 yrs and if I were a Dist Mgr. I would be shutting this down. Reconstruction wise it is always a challenge but wow, there is no organization to thus $@!& show. Prices are way out of line with competitors. Inventory in places that are unmarked or priced incorrectly or in wrong location all together. Bottom line. You can do better and go somewhere else. Sorry I love to support small business but this one maybe the exception. read more

Ever since this location changed hands and became "Rugguieros" Ace, it has gone to the dogs. It appears to be staffed with primarily ignorant kids and surly older women. It is a shame that this is the closest Stihl dealer in the area. Not one in 5 people that I spoke to had even the slightest knowledge of their Stihl inventory. Ok, so answering questions about hedge trimmers is pretty tough. I tried something easy, like large leaf trash bags. I was led to the spot where they might have been, if they were in stock. Kid then pointed to 13 gallon kitchen trash bags and said they would be fine. Wont be back to this location. The one over in Chandler, by Bashas is about a thousand percent better experience. read more

I was looking for advice on how to best paint a flexible plastic car top carrier. A nice young lady was stocking shelves and let me know that she did not have an answer for me. She called over a guy who worked in the paint department and he explained several options to me and let me know why my prior paint job had failed on the project. I left with a small can of Ace latex primer. It seems to be the correct product and is holding up very well. My point is, the people here know what they are talking about and went over and above to provide great service. Whenever I can skip a big box store and shop at a local company like this I will do it. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We use to go into Ruggiero's when it was Russ's True Value all the time. We went in last night for nails for hanging pictures. The gentleman with the glasses was extremely rude, we asked him which nails to use for hanging light weight pictures in drywall. He told us to figure it out on our own. "There are plenty of nails to choose from." He didn't get off his chair once. Extremely rude and will never go back to this location because of him. When I lived in San Tan Valley I use to go to Russ's true value. Now that I live in Queen Creek I'll go anywhere but Ruggiero's. read more

I asked if hé wanted my phone #, hé said oh yeah! Then continued to talk to The other customer. Not a good day as hard as I tried to be accomplished. Got locked out of the house . Had to break in ‍. Broke the window by accident ‍called the many hardware stores and finally found one way far from where I lived, but they said they could replace the glass so off I go. after spending almost 2 hours in hardware store I was told that I had to return tomorrow when Paul was there because the inexperienced staff ran into a problem and couldn't do it . We're sorry . While I'm the store I found the cutest little grill that I thought would be perfect for my small outdoor area. It had a price tag of $94. So I went to the front and asked the girls working was this the only one?she said unfortunately it was. I asked could I have that one? Of course you can. She removed the price tag and she rung it up, I paid for it and was told she would have one of the guys bring it to my car. So now I'm outside with my trunk open waiting, waiting,waiting and this guy comes out and asked me to return to the store. Why? Can you just come back into the store. Okay. After getting back into the store, he asked me if I removed the tag off the grill and took it to the cashier to ring up? My answer was no, she took the tag off and rung it up after she confirmed that was the price. Well that's not the price for the grill only for the stand. Sorry there was only one price tag . Do you still want it? I asked what was the price? I'll have to look it up. Then was told it would be an additional $219 do you want it? Now I'm getting pissed because of his tone. I said no I don't. Do you still want the stand? what am I going to do with a stand . No. Well we can refund your money IF YOU LIKE. I'm looking at him now like he's a dummy. I just said if it's not too much of an inconvenience. He said to the girl, give her, her money back. I was just too tired to fight with him, but I should have gotten the grill for what I paid paid for it. I could feel my pressure rising and needed to sit down so I left. And I still have to go back tomorrow to get my window. I just want to go to sleep and Pray for a better day tomorrow. Hello Austin ,Just as one business person to another I returned to your establishment to pick up my window which I had to call and find out if was ready.  I should have been receiving a call from the store. Paul did the work but it seemed as if he knew nothing about the 2 hour wait I spent in the store last night waiting on the repair. And as far as the Grill which I'm still very upset about. The cashier admitted that it was partly her fault, now I'm thinking so how was I at fault?  I just wanted to be treated differently. I won't be returning to ACE anymore.I really thought that today's visit to pick up the window that needed the glass replaced would be my last communication with You.  They replace my window frame with plexiglass when it should have been glass. This I really didn't care so much about,  BUT the frame was put back together BACKWARDS and had to be taken a loose and put back properly so that that the lack was on the inside of the house NOT the outside. The only good thing is that my neighbor is a contractor and knew what to do.The entire experience you ACE hardware store has been beyond Frustrating, downright Horrible.. read more

We just went in for seasoning, but we were met with amazing customer service. There was a very sweet elderly woman that I didn't get the name of that went above and beyond to look in the back for seasoning when it wasn't seen on the floor.
