I'm extremely impressed with the exceptional service I received from the plumbing department staff, particularly with regard to facet handles for showers. After my push-pull handle came loose, I visited the store seeking assistance. A knowledgeable gentleman guided me through a simple fix, advising me to open the acrylic top and re-screw the handle. He also recommended using blue glue to prevent future loosening. Thanks to his expertise, I was able to resolve the issue promptly, eliminating the need to wait for a replacement part to arrive from Amazon. The staff's helpfulness and willingness to assist saved me time and hassle. We were told by an associate than if we bought 4 filters we would get half off and 4 more free. (The sign was very confusing honestly and was taken down after this interaction) upon checking out we were supeised that we were not getting the offer the first associate described. But getting charged double what we expected. A supervisor came by and cleared things up and yes we had to pay double what we expected. But he gave us 20 dollars off the total. Even though we paid more than we expected and were told by the initial associate. I want to HIGHLIGHT how extremely helpful all that were involved were. RJ, Nathan, and Chris. I went in looking for a potential new washer and dryer but left with plants! The staff adds a personal touch, making every visit a conversation with a trusted friend. Listen this is not my favorite home improvement store by any stretch of the imagination. I only come here because it's very close to my house. I I had a curbside order today to pick up and I checked in when I got to the store just like the sign told me to. It told me to wait and that somebody was getting my order. 20 minutes later I walked into the store and had to pick up my curbside order. Not really a good experience. If I could give zero stars I would, the window blinds department supervisor Robert was no help at all. I had to come back 5 times in one day because he couldn't figure out how to make the payment go through. He had also recommended to me that I did not need the plastic covers for the top of the roller shades because it would cut down the cost a bit so I went with that because he said it would still look just as nice. After they installed the blinds I saw how terrible it looks without the coverings on the top that he said would look fine without it. Anyway, I went back in to see how I go about getting those pieces ordered and installed so that it doesn't look ridiculous, mind you I spent almost 5,000$ on these blinds. He told me it's impossible to order those parts now and I'd have to get all new blinds and is denying the fact the he said I didn't need those pieces and it would look fine without it. The store located at Val Vista and Warner showed exemplary service on the day of my visit, March 30th. All three staff members I encountered had helpful knowledge and were friendly! Kent in the lock department went above and beyond when assisting me in finding the right lock and door handle combination for a front entrance. Not only did he explain to me how to use/set this re-keying door lock but he did it for me too! The gal with the colored hair in the paint department was quick and efficient at choosing and mixing Behr Swiss coffee paint for me. On the way out, Caden? assisted at the self checkout and made sure our $300+ transaction went smoothly. In comparison to the Lowe's on Gilbert/Warner, BIG improvement! Items are laid-out well, staff is visible around the store, and best of all, the gardening department is head-and-shoulders above the Lowe's; the plants were plentiful and healthy, and we left with two items (and could have left with more). We were afraid we'd have to go to a nursery over the big box stores, but this Home Depot proved us wrong. I don't know what has happened with the Home Depot on Warner and Val Vista, but it has gone downhill, quick. This short little duck dynasty wannabe manager today who looked like he's better suited for hunting road kill than managing a store, set me off. I bought some MDF panels last week and just as I was getting ready to have them cut, I was informed their saw was down. . . again. Since I wasn't in a rush, I agreed to leave them at Will Call and come in on Monday to have someone cut them down for a project. I had plans in hand. They reviewed my diagram with the cuts and agreed it was no problem. I've been going to this Home Depot since 2001. Never had a problem getting multiple cuts on a panel, even offered to pay for the cuts because I realized it was a little more than normal. I've sometimes paid an extra .50 per cut. That's fine. Called on Monday with a very specific question. Did anyone come in to repair the saw over the weekend? I got put on hold 3 times. I never got a straight answer. "It don't work real good right now." That's not what I asked. I know it was broken on Thursday. Today is Monday. Did they fix it? They told me to call today. "Please hold." After the third time, it was. . . " the saw sort of works." Really got nowhere. . . I went in today, Tuesday and pulled the panels. I wheeled them over to the saw where the guy was waiting for me. I had diagrams in hand, generated from a program that told you exactly how many pieces would fit, what size, where to cut and how many cuts. It literally minimized the number of cuts. It came down to 12 cuts across 3 panels. The guy at the saw who claimed to be a cabinet maker didn't understand the diagram of the cuts laid out on the panel and insisted I needed another board. I did the math and showed it to him to reassure him that the diagram was correct. 2 more customers rolled up carts and needed a few cuts. I offered to let them go ahead of me. Another 15 minutes pass while they're shooting the shit. The saw guy gets back to me, looks concerned, walks over to some scrappy looking guy in his late 20s or 30s who by all accounts looked more like a cart chaser than a manager. However, this guy or manager decides I'm not getting my panel cut today. When the saw guy returns, he shares with me that he can't do projects. I'm standing in Home Depot, literally one of the project havens of the US. Then the excuse turned to, we can't cut that many. It would take me too long. Then it went to, I can cut it in half for you. My manager said we can only cut twice on a panel. When I made my way to the counter and asked for a refund, I found myself surrounded by a number of cashiers who had been listening to this unfold. One had remembered me coming in last week and knew this was not going to play out well after I waited almost a full week to get these panels cut while further allowing 2 other customers to pass ahead of me before being told NO by an inept employee and a manager who had zero customer service skills. You don't smirk at a customer who is trying to resolve an issue. It was clear that employees around him had little to no respect for this idiot little man with a napoleon complex thinking he owned the room. It's the smirk that made me want to beat him with a damn board. One cashier quietly went as far as apologizing and reassuring me that they understood and agreed with my frustrations. I made clear with the manager who had refused service why I was angry. I wasted almost a full week waiting on the reassurances of his store and now, he was just wasting my time and adding insult to injury. I received a full refund, but not before he decided to question where the wood paneling was. It was one more, last idiotic comment to show who's in charge. I reminded him as I pointed to the back of the store that it's still sitting on the cart by the employee who refused to cut it. I was very close to unleashing a string of profanities I knew would not serve me well, but this guy was pushing it and he knew what he was doing. The employees around him were growing more anxious because I'm sure they expected their store manager to deescalate, not escalate and that grin on his face could not have been more revealing of his intentions. I headed over to Lowes on Gilbert and Warner where Kenny was all too happy to accommodate me. Not only did I get better expert advice, but I loaded my cart with another $200 worth of add-on sales. It took him no more than 10-15 minutes to go through all the cuts laid out in the diagram. I've spent a fair amount of money at Home Depot during the course of my home remodel and trailer remodel. I'm about a third of the way complete. I've shopped Home Depot because it's convenient. Lowes is about another 3 miles down the road. I will gladly drive that in the future rather than spend another dime that store. read more

Bought a Dishwasher from them about two weeks ago. Paid almost $1,000 For Dishwasher, delivery, install and pick up my old dishwasher. Dishwasher does not work and Home Depot does nothing. Installer came back and said it was not an install problem and machine is defective. Home Depot said no I had to have GE come out and service machine. I am stuck in the pass the buck. Home Depot got Paid, installer got paid, GE got paid but I have a non woking Dishwasher. I can not afford to go waste another $1,0000 to buy another Dishwasher. I would say the issue is Home Depot as a company and not necessarily this store. I wish they had just mom and Pop shops like when I was growing up. I like Home Depot. But NEVER order online! It has been the worst shopping experience I have ever had! I had an order canceled and so I reordered with installation charged as well. Today they delivered and had an extra item, a large one and they said the installation had been canceled! They gave me a third party number to call for installation. I phoned that number and got the run around as well. Then they told me it was nearly 500 dollars. I said that was supposed to be on my Home Depot card. She said no, we can't put it on there. I had a project I needed to get done as a Father's Day gift. Alex from gardening was very professional and led me right to what we both thought would work. After confirming with my husband, I realized what I needed was more and I asked Trace from gardening for assistance and it took a bit of his time due to my wanting it to be exactly what my husband would appreciate but the gentleman was very courteous and gave my project all the time necessary. It ended up being the least expensive route as well which wouldn't have mattered but is appreciated. I'm always so grateful for the service of the staff but I am especially grateful today since it's one day before Father's Day and this is the only thing my husband asked for from me. I ordered 5 sets of faux wood blinds from Home Depot, but one set of blinds did not work out. I want to return but they are too heavy for me to carry to my car and into the store. Home depot has no solution at all for this. No return by mail just take to the store. As a 74 year old woman with arthritis this is very frustrating. I will somehow figure it out, but will not be ordering the rest of my window coverings from them Very bad customer service. The service lines are of no help at all. We went into this location to look for an air conditioner for our daughter. Home Depot Employee 'Richard ', was demonstrating Traeger grill/smoker in front of the store. He was handing out free samples of bacon he was cooking on the grill (delicious). Richard was so friendly, that we ended up deciding to buy one of the grills. When we entered the store, we were greeted by a friendly lady named Shirley, who asked us if we needed help finding anything (with a smile). On 11/1/24 I wrote a sincere letter of complaint to Ted Decker, CEO of Home Depot, against one of their ProReferral contractors. Never even received an acknowledgement. Their contractor damaged my toilet when they performed unauthorized work, which ended up costing me $100 to repair. Home Depot stands behind their contractor. I have been a Home Depot customer for dozens of years and have made purchases of over $30,000, including a $12,000 new roof, $1,000 fridge, and a $900 washer, plus all of my other hardware needs. Customer service starts at the top. Home Depot does not value customer loyalty. Not only will I no longer shop at Home Depot, but I have no faith in any warranty they provide. Decker's behavior is shameful and unconscionable. Apparently, ProReferral does not even vet their contractors since they obviously favor the riff raff that they referred to me, even though he has numerous negative reviews all over the internet, including walking off a job in anger. My pregnant daughter-in-law needed some help lifting a heavy item and requested help getting it into her truck. She was treated very rudely by Brandon who also refused to help, so two other guys stepped in to help. I wish I knew the name of the other two guys who were very nice. Brandon on the other hand was told that he needed to help after he refused, then he just stood in the parking lot and watched the other two guys do the work. What a disgrace to the company! Unfortunately, we have had very bad experiences at this store for years and quit going here even though it is closest to our house. Other than the two guys that helped this time, I usually find the employees to be very rude, never helpful when asking questions or finding something, and even though we have mentioned this to the manager, they have latex balloons everywhere which we are severely allergic to. I have found another Home Depot which is amazing. It is exactly opposite of everything we experience here. A little further, but worth the drive. Now 10 days past delivery date, in store, they are saying it was never delivered and it's not in stock.
