Kim Bauer helped us with color schemes to paint the exterior of our house. She has an eye for color and just overall knowledge on swatches. She helped me to narrow down on over 30 color schemes that our HOA allows us to pick from. She knows how to joke around and give us enough input and wisdom from her own personal experience. Kim I appreciate your expertise and for giving us more confidence on paint that I never knew I should know about. I can't wait to start this obligatory paint project that I've been avoiding because of my cluelessness. read more

I was first introduced to Dunn Edwards by my realtor. The continued support and knowledge the team here provides is invaluable. I love being able to call, get my questions answered and have a professional opinion. Most recently I've saved plenty of time by calling in advance and having my paint pre-mixed and shaken at pickup. Although it can be seen as a bit on the pricier side the ease of application of paint and quality of materials are well worth it. read more

My house got painted in 2021/2022 and I needed to go back and get the more paint to match the body of the house for some accessories I was adding to it. However when I looked inside my cans of paint (always keep you paint indoors in an AC area) I could not figure out which was which for the label had been smeared so I could not figure out head for tails. So headed to the Paint store to try to find the name of the paint my contractor painter used and no luck..NONE. So with the help of the Store Manager AMBER she went the extra ten miles for me, not JUST ONE MILE. Spent oodles of time helping me figure out the murder mystery puzzle with my left-over cans of paint etc. A very time consuming gesture to say the least for the store was busy on Friday! She then printed new labels for all my paint cans and gave me extras for my files so that this confusion would be avoid in the future. THE COST FOR HER EXPERTISE, TIME AND GUIDANCE??? Zero, Nada, Nothing. I offered and she refused for she just stated her commitment to the satisfaction of the customer and a high degree of customer service!! WOW-WOW-WOW, I was speechless for this type of service died in the 1990's! AMBER is AWESOME, SPECTACULAR, IMPRESSIVE, AND A DELIGHT TO WORK WITH. I WILL BE BACK FOR YOU WILL NOT FIND THIS LEVEL OF SERVICE AT THE BIG BOX STORES OR AT THE S-W store down the road! AMBER IS A CUSTOMER SERVICE HERO in my experience. She rocks! read more

My wife and I stopped here on our way to touch-up one of our rental properties. Always use Dunn's paint! Love using the Suprema. I would have given more stars, however.. I usually don't fret about people's appearance, but my wife made it a point to mention to me how the manager was dressed. Or more so the lack of undergarments. As a professional, one would think you would dress appropriately at your place of business. Don't get me wrong, We are all for women's equal rights, and you can dress as you choose but personally, you should dress appropriately while you're representing your company and dress how you please while on your personal time. Guess we are just from a different generation, and women had different standards. read more

We have been getting paint from this DE store for 8 years. Our painting contractor gets interior and exterior paint from DE. We have been very satisfied with the staff's expertise and advise. When we wanted to paint our interior doors, they told us the process. Same with the baseboards. When I discovered a new DE store on Ocotillo closer to my home, I thought I would go there instead. WRONG. It was fraught with problems... wrong online sample caused by Corporate and they could not refund my money or give me an exchange. Call Customer Service, they said. Two calls and an email and I never got a response. So I went back to the DE on Chandler Blvd. Lance was a pleasure to deal with. When I explained what happened at the Ocotillo store, he said he would have fixed the problem and given me the refund. As he said, it was only $4.99. We were able to get the right paint color and it was ready in 5 minutes with the discount. Lance did not say I had to go inside to get the discount but did it over the phone. There was no confusion on whether they had curbside or not as there was with the Ocotillo store. I will gladly drive the few extra miles to get great service. read more

I first became aware of Dunn-Edwards paints when our first home was being built. The reputation was that the paint was consistent in color, covered well, and lasted long. That seemed to be the case, so when we built our new home we had the painter use the same paint. It turned out that was his preferred brand anyway. And it has held up well. Since then we've repainted one room (for color change) and came here to do it. Now we're looking to repaint the garage, so we came here to get color samples. We will be buying their paint again for this project. Pricing is comparable to (or better than) the higher-quality paints carried by the big box stores, and vastly better than their base-line stuff. read more

Danielle is a very skilled professional color advisor. I was having difficulty finding the exact paint colors I wanted for my family room/kitchen remodel. I brought a floor sample, shutter, and photo of the room to my color consultation appointment and told Danielle the colors I wanted to use with them. She was patient and listened well. She took the role of advising me seriously and really seemed to enjoy sharing her love and knowledge of decorating. I could not believe that Danielle was able to pinpoint the perfect colors for the room in our one-hour appointment. What a pro! read more

Dunn-Edwards Paints - Great way to decide on your new spring colors - Hardware Stores Near Me - Chandler, Arizona

When we hired a painter to paint the main area of our house this was the place he sent us to buy the paint. I think some of the other reviewers implied that because their painter used Dunn-Edwards paint that means it must be really high quality. In reality it is because they cater to professional painters and contractors and offer loyalty and volume discounts. Anyway, now we are stuck going there repeatedly so that we can get the same paint for touch ups or other areas that need to match. I don't think their paint is superior to Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams. And the service at the store is not good. I have been in there multiple times and had to wait a good long while for someone to help me only to find that they couldn't answer any of my questions anyway. And their painting supplies (brushes, rollers, etc) are very overpriced. For your basic project just stick to Ace Hardware or Lowe's. read more

This is my first time to this Dunn Edwards store. Previously I've used the store on Chandler Boulevard in Chandler. The store itself is clean well lit and has a variety of products and services. They had a nice selection color charts and an idea area where they could provide consultation on different types of paint. After taking my order they graciously gave me a discount and within 10 minutes I had my paint. The store is very customer oriented and all the staff were very friendly and gracious doing my wait. read more

We re-textured a small area in our bedroom which meant that we needed to touch up the paint. Sounds easy enough. Turns out it's not - no one, I mean NO ONE, can match my prior color. Totally bummed - but I go to Dunn Edwards - the initial salesman isn't very helpful. I felt like I had to convince him to sell me paint, BUT the paint technician is a doll. He walks me around the store to see if we can match my paint, and when that doesn't work. He goes the extra mile to solve my problem by matching the base color. What a guy. The reluctant salesman rings me up. And off I go. Well, I'm lazy. What can I say. I didn't prime my freshly textured drywall, so it sucks up the paint like a sponge. I call the store the next day and order another gallon. Again, the sales person isn't very friendly (this time it's a girl) and she acting as if I'm bothering her. She seems very put out that I ask her to look up my prior ticket, and is snarky when I read what the original salesman wrote on the first receipt. Ok - everyone has a bad day. No problem it's ordered. The next day a new sales lady helps me. She quite friendly and when she rings me up she tells me a price $10 greater than my original gallon. I tell her so, and she tries to justify the new price. I then direct her to look at my original invoice. She then gives me a line about the 1st employee was new and didn't know what he was doing, but that she would sell it to me for the origianal price. (Clearly not the truth.) I get home look at the 2 cans side by side and notice they are 2 completely different paint grades. The new (the $10 higher priced one) is a higher grade. Can you guess why it was $10 higher? I then look at the paint color grid and they were not even mixed the same, but I make sure and paint 2 color patches on my wall. Totally different. Ok. I'm mad now. I head back to the store. This time I calmly but firmly speak my mind. I apologize to (a different sales person, I believe he was a manager) for being rough with him because he hasn't done anything wrong. This is why I'm so happy with Dunn Edwards... Frank, the manager, I believe, listens to my story, apologizes for my continued bad success in the store, refunds my money for the gallon I just purchased, and give me the correct color and grade for free. THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Frank. You are the reason I will continue to shop at Dunn Edwards. Did I mention - they really have great paint too. read more

Per direction from our painting company I went to this store to pick up paint that was already in stock/mixed. The attendant pulled it off the shelf and sold it to me. The painting company came back and stated it was the wrong paint. I took it back to the store to see if I could get a refund. I worked with a different attendant and they stated the policy of not returning mixed paint. I stated that it was already in stock. They didn't listen and were rude. I left after restating that it was on the shelf already mixed. I find it very disappointing that this store would sell the paint to be already mixed but not offer a refund because they told me it 'was mixed'. read more

WTF... half an hour total to get a color match paint in an empty store? Even my friend got testy with the whole experience (that says alot when a completely uninvolved person is annoyed). The lady brings the can to the back area, and I hear her chatting away forever, until I start haunting the employee area does the can actually get to me. And then she forgot to tell them the original formula was 125% strength, which I'm trying to figure out if she did it right. She snatches the can from me just as I'm trying to validate the old vs new label, and I don't see her again for 10 min... and she never comes back out to tell me if the formula was right or wrong. I'm just left hanging around w/ no other avail employee (someone else actually walked in) to at least ask pls followup w/ the lady in the back, who I can still hear chatting away w/ the paint matcher guy. Seriously poor customer service. Worst part, they did not mix a new can of paint... just squirted in 25% more tint and slapped another label on the can...chinzy and it was her error. I went to Dunn Edwards (vs my standby) cuz I needed to color match what the original home owner's used, but no screw top lid + poor customer service = not coming back when I'm applying new paint. read more

The store on Warner Rd Ahwatukee very helpful.

Had such a wonderful experience here!! Received a letter from my HOA to repaint which it informed me that Dunn Edwards carried our paint schemes. So naturally I made my way to Dunn Edwards. When helped, i was informed that our HOA schemes were only available online. Bummed I made the trip, the associate, Shannon, didn't hesitate to take me online right then and there to review my schemes on their computer. I was very appreciative!! Once reviewing for 10min or so, the Professional Paint Advisor, Andrea, returned from lunch in which I was introduced to her. She took me over to her desk, pulled up my HOA again and guided me through the 30 schemes down to my top 2 in a matter of no time. She definitely knows her color and will not let you pick the wrong color for your home!! I came in thinking picking colors was going to be the hardest part but it was the easiest. Though her appointment arrived soon, she turned me over to another associate, Hayley, who reviewed the different paint grades and sheens. Talk about customer service! Thank you Dunn Edwards for you exceptional customer service & knowledgable employees! This is another reminder why you're my go to for my paint needs. read more

I've visited this location on three separate occasions this week, my last visit being this afternoon. The customer service is great, having the pleasure of Dave, one of the store managers assist me. I called my paint in advance on two of the three visits and it was ready for me the minute I walked in the door. Dave does a wonderful job in ensuring everyone is being served while he himself is working with customers. The best store by far that I have consistently purchased paints and other products. read more

They really helped me identify the colors and gave me a great recommendation. My project came out great and was cheaper than the big box store paint I had originally got. The line at the checkout was mega long, and waited fifteen minutes to check out. So dropped it down 1 star because of that. read more

We have used this vendor twice, the first time they got our color completely wrong but we had already done an entire room and it didn't look bad so we went with it. Took the original 5 gallon bucket with their stickers on it to get another 5 gallons. They couldn't match the color, even after the 4th attempt, still not even a close match. We're honestly SOL, mid paint job. Wouldn't use them again. read more
