Nice store, very cool design and interior. Friendly folks and plenty of what you need. Right in the middle of down town.

This place isn't as big as a Home Depot obviously but it's convenient if you live in Florence or the surrounding area and the place is surprisingly large with a decent collection of everything including free popcorn for the kiddies. So far I haven't walked away without finding what I was looking for. They have a decent size paint selection, cut keys, tools, widgets, gidgets, gadgets and dang near everything else. It's also fun to walk though as it's in an old sprawling building that just keeps going and reminds me of the old hardware stores before the big box stores came along and took over. You will instantly be transported back in time to when you were a kid tagging along with your dad on a Saturday afternoon if you were born in the seventies. Check out the wonderfully creepy dolls while you're there! Can anybody say Annabelle? Worth five stars just for the walk down memory lane. read more

I'm new to town (1yr) and love that we have this hardware store just 4 blocks away. The small town I grew up in had a small hardware store a that has grown with the times and the area. Just like my days of old, I can find and purchase what I need when I need it. The service is always on point unlike the big corporate box hardware stored. I enjoy shopping here! read more

Just arrived in Florence and my rentals central air died. My landlord sent his father in law to try to fix it, to no avail. He mentioned going to this hardware store to try to find the fix. Found exactly what he was looking for, but unfortunately the whole unit was shot. Decided to check this place out as he mentioned the hammer for a door handle. Loved every minute of it. Actually picked up a couple of trinkets while I was there. Definitely will be my go to place for anything hardware related. read more

The folks here are helpful and friendly, but not overbearing. They seem genuinely interested in helping you with your project, whatever it may be. You know, sometimes you go to a place and you get the feeling that most (if not all) of the employees would rather be elsewhere. I don't get that vibe here, not at all. Everything is where it's supposed to be, and neatly arranged. And if it's too high up or too low, they'll get it for you. I really like going there. read more

My elderly mother moved to Florence. Went to this location to help her find a few things for her new place. Upon checking out the manager asked us where we moved from. We said Oregon and he got a very serious look on his place. When he discovered that were lived near Portland he started unloading all of his unwarranted and unsolicited beliefs and opinions about what a terrible place Portland is. My mother's home town. A place I spent a lot of time growing up. He said he'd been there a few times but really he had no business sharing these types of opinions at his place of work with his customers. This all sounded like regurgitated conservative news rhetoric. He then made sure we new we'd moved to "a very conservative place" and kinda stared us down. Was this some kind of threat?! First rule of professionalism idiot: keep your politics and religion in your pocket. I took the time to email the Ace corporation and got an automated response. I then emailed the owner and got no response. Apparently they don't care what their manager says on company time. THIS STORE IS FOR CONSERVATIVES ONLY! was the feeling I was left with. The sheriff Joe Arpaio paraphernalia was the nail in the coffin. Never goin back. Home Depot isn't that much further. read more

Russ, Cheryl and Sydney keep this place clean. Very helpful. They entire crew are trained in every department very well. As soon as you enter the store, someone immediately makes themselves available to assist you. No matter if they know you because you patron this establishment often or if it's your first visit, they are always there to help. Enjoy the museum aspect of this unique hardware store. read more

PVC pipe is literally 4 times the cost of any other hardware store. Most everything is extremely marked up in the store. I get that you can't compete with the big companies, but many of the prices here are outrageous, simply because it takes a half hour to get to another store. I'm all for shopping local, but not with this store. read more

Even if you're only passing through Florence you should stop in the True Value hardware store. The building itself shares some history with the rest of the old buildings in town, plus a few items of antiquity inside, including a working UniCycle (chained up to prevent an impromptu getaway). Plus there's always something in a hardware store that will come in handy. read more

I only shop at Florence True Value Hardware when there is no other choice. They are often ridiculously expensive. There is "no true value" here. However, the staff are usually knowledgeable and helpful. read more

This place is amazing! Somehow The owners, Russ and Cheryl have managed to cram a mega sized home improvement inventory into a hometown hardware store. Yet somehow they maintain a great old time atmosphere combined with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. This store is one of my favorite places in the world, and that's saying something! read more

Not just a hardware store but also a lovely gift shop within and novelty items galore! And if it's hardware and sound advice this is the place! Can't find a product you're used to at other stores. Just ask...if they can they will start stocking it for you. Store itself is beautiful and so well maintained! They even dress their windows with the coolest stuff! Best retail experience in Florence. The prices are higher than Lowes or Home Depot, but unless your shopping list is fairly lengthy, it still costs less than driving a fifty mile round trip. The staff is friendly and quite knowledgeable, have yet to leave without what I was looking for or a suitable substitute or workaround. read more

Every time I visit this place, they have what I need. It generally more expensive than HD or L but sure beats driving out to Casa Grande or Gilbert. read more
