Didn't fix the problem with our smoke/ozone detector problem. About 10 weeks ago before we were to go on a long summer vacation in the Colorado high country we contacted this company to fix our smoke and ozone detectors. When we came home 2 ozone detectors were chirping and 2 smoke detectors chiming in. Ozone sectors are crazy loud at 95 db or so and smokers were somewhat quieter. 8 Other smoke detectors are working fine so this goes down as a mixed bag. I think I'll be telling stories about Dan for the rest of my life. We are absolutely blown away but him and his level of customer service. Truly never had a more genuine human enter our home. A couple years back our alarms started going off in the home seemingly out of the blue and due to vaulted ceilings, we had the fire department come out. One of the crew referred us to call Dan, sharing that he was a former firefighter who started his own business working with detectors. Upon calling, Dan asked us to check how many detectors we had so he could replace them (they were originals with our house) and we foolishly counted 5. When Dan came out, he found a sneaky (not so sneaky) 6th detector, but replaced it for us FOR FREE! We were blown away. About a year and a half later, our alarms started unexpectedly going on again. We knew who to call. Dan advised us to get them all cleaned and put in new batteries. When he came out, he showed us how much dust and bugs had already been accumulated in them just in that short time. However, a couple days after his visit, the alarms began going off again. And then again with a different one! Dan offered to come out and replace the ones that had gone off in the hopes it would remedy the problem. However, shortly after... ANOTHER alarm went off. It was really starting to become a very stressful situation with two kids! Dan made mention that he thought it could be our humidifier emiting a white dust that could be affecting them. He called the manufacturer of the detectors who gave him a couple other possibilities but none of them seemed like they could be the culprit. Dan came back out to the house to change the remaining smoke detectors out. And then surprised us more than we could have ever anticipated. Dan bought us a new humidifier. A very high end one that did not emit the white dust. He told us to be his guinea pigs to see if it would remedy our situation. It's been a couple of weeks now and so far so good. Whether it be from the new detectors or from this incredible humidifier/air purifier, we are so grateful to have Dan. We are referring EVERYONE we know to Dan! Cannot say enough good things. Dan and one of his technicians were working at my neighbors house and I happened to have a broken smoke detector. After they finished up my neighbors house they came over and gave me a good assessment of what I needed along with a very reasonable price. The broken one needed to be replaced and they let me know I still had a few years of life left on my other two in the house. I decided to have them replace all three smoke detectors. They finished up in less than 30 minutes and did a great job educating me on how they work and upkeep. Dan and his employee were super professional, clean, and honest. Dan & his son, Josh, both retired Firefighters, came to our house within one day after requesting services. Our Smoke Alarms were failing after 8 years and 3 of them began "chirping" every couple of days, usually in the middle of the night. We asked for Dan's help on 11/16/22 & an appointment was scheduled for the next day, 11/17/22. Just throwing out a recommendation for Dan Reynolds, the smoke detector man. Our smoke detectors were doing funky things, and I know all of them were over 10 years old. I'm not good with heights and we have vaulted ceilings, so I heard about this guy and called him up yesterday. He came out this morning and changed out all 8 of our detectors, and ran through things to do to make sure everything works well with no problems, took his time talking so I was crystal clear on what to do when stuff happens. for example I asked him about those 10 year battery sealed smoke detectors, he said they work, but I could buy an energizer 9v lithium battery from amazon for about 7 bucks and next time I change batteries put the lithium one in, and that would do the same thing. all in all I was very satisfied with him and would recommend him. I hired Dan to install two wired Nest smoke detectors, and had a great experience with him. He arrived on time, was courteous and professional, and installed my new products in a quick but detail-oriented fashion. Because my old smoke detectors were a different size and shape than the new ones, a small strip of unpainted wall was visible after the new detectors were installed, as was a small gap in the wall behind one of the detectors.
