This will be a review in three parts. This may be the last and only review you'll ever need on this place. 1. Ambiance. This is as Oregonian, bohemian chic as it gets. It gives you the coziest feeling when you walk in. It's like a curated home of good vibes. 10/10 2. Service. I was lucky enough to be served by both of the owners. They are gems. Kind, patient and willing to explain anything on the menu. Their staff, though occupied with work took the time to greet me, and make me feel welcome. 10/10 3. Food. Fresh, local, wholesome and filling. I came here on a cloudy day looking for some brunch. I ordered the Avocado and Greens Sandwich and the Warm Oats both to-go as well as an immunity shot. Avocado and Greens Sandwich: 4.75/5, this was delicious! The bread was toasted perfectly and every bite (especially the crust) was crunchy and a little smoky. The vegan mayo tasted just like regular mayo and it was spread evenly throughout the inside of the sandwich for a consistent taste. Throughout the mashed avocados (which were super creamy and fresh) were pickled vegetables (onions, pickles) and I normally don't like pickles but these blended in seamlessly with the sandwich. They added a nice crunch, a sour but sweetness, and the microgreens gave it more texture (than just a mash of avocados). Would definitely recommend this sandwich. -.25 because the sandwich was cold and I think it could be 5/5 if it was slightly warm, but given all the cold ingredients and I got it to-go this didn't affect how tasty the sandwich actually is, just a personal preference. Warm Oats: 4/5, this was pretty tasty! They didn't skimp out on the blueberries which gave a sweet but also sour tang in every spoonful of oats. I liked how the oat milk soaked the oats so it didn't taste dry or like a chore to be eating the oats (towards the bottom it got less watery as the oats sucked up all the moisture, started getting dry). Cranberries, pumpkin seeds, chia, etc. were all nice touches. Given how most of the ingredients lack flavor complexity except blueberries and cranberries, the oatmeal tasted a little bland so I'd recommend asking if they have any add-ins i.e. honey, cinnamon, etc. Immunity Shot: 5/5, most immunity shots I try are either painful to drink or unpleasant and I drink them mostly for the health benefits. Lovely's is great because it was sweet (initial taste), the portion is large (for an immunity "shot") and comes in a cute, small jar. There's a slight burn/kick after from the ginger/turmeric. The shop interior and exterior is cute, it's quaint and really gives off a small, old town diner vibe. There's picnic tables outside to eat on and they sell merchandise (shirts, stickers, soaps) in store. Staff were friendly and down to earth as well. read more

The design is super cute! I love the little section of outside seating available and the corner location is just all around lovely! The food and drinks were tasty-- I'd recommend the pickles above all else. I could see how people who aren't into raw or wellness foods might be deterred, especially with the small menu. But, I really enjoyed my time and my sandwich! The folks at the desk are super sweet, very friendly, and they gave my best friend a complementary wellness shot for her birthday. If for anything, getting some of their pickled veggies and a beverage to go, would be a nice experience in itself. read more

I am so happy I was able to stop by this place today! I enjoyed their selection of coffees & teas. I had a matcha tea sweetened with honey. It was exactly what I needed after my yoga class. I really liked their outdoor seating and it's a great place to connect with friends or to enjoy on your own! I think I'll make this my new Saturday after yoga go to stop. Didn't originally want to go here, but this place had good ratings so decided to try. The menu offers a lot of healthy sand which type things so if you're wanting a big meal this isn't it. I ordered their avocado toast with poached egg at $14? I was thinking I'm gonna get two slices? Geez when I got my plate it was the thinnest piece of toast! boy lemme tell you i was sad lol. This is like a pretty snack! Bf got the tuna melt that was like a panini which was tasty but I mean I honestly could of made this stuff at home for cheaper... their drinks were also whatever. This place is exactly it's name sake, Lovely. The interior is lovely. The staff is lovely. The coffee is lovely. The food is not only lovely but freaking delicious! My favorite? Those little purple beet pickled eggs. Before you start judging, just try them. If you are a fan of eggs, pickles, or pickled eggs, you will die for their eggs. Just a light tang to their perfectly cooked creamy texture. I also ordered their smoked salmon toast and it was so worth my little break from vegetarianism. I only eat smoked salmon maybe four times a year and I won't be mad if my 2020 salmon quota is met at Lovely. They are a brand new spot on Main Street in Springfield and they are still working out the kinks of their menu, but I think they are off to a really good spot. I believe the bread is from hideaway bakery so you know it'll be good on that alone. The eggs used were pickled in beets and turmeric. It adds a slight acidic/salty taste that is a perfect addition to the creamy avocado! The green smoothie was AMAZING!!! Subtle sweetness from the banana and coconut water. Even my boyfriend liked it. We came for the Grilled Cheese Experience however they had sold out of the kimchi, which is great for FFLC! Still decided to stay as it was my first time there. It was a Sunday at noon and not too busy so we sat inside and waited for our meals. I had ordered a cafe au lait with oat milk, they had no Splenda or other fake sugars, but that's ok. I ordered the tuna melt and my husband ordered a tuna salad bowl. His was good, he said, the micro greens a nice touch. My tuna melt had good flavor, especially when I put the pickled onions that were on the side into the sandwich. It was a panini style sandwich and needed a LOT more time in the press, the bread had indentations by was pretty soggy, no grill marks. Overall, the service was mediocre at best, one gal literally just plopped my plate in front of me (my husband had his bowl a few minutes before me) and walked away without saying a word. I love this place and the people who own it and the employees are wonderful. The coffee is great, but what really shines about this place is the healthy food and juice options. The pickles are especially delicious. They often have diamonds pickles that are my absolute fave! My son and I often get the warm oats which are topped with a bunch of yummy things. After seeing all the great reviews, I feel like a buzzkill, but my experience with Lovely was... just not lovely. Right before the pandemic closed everything, I received a digital gift card to Lovely and hoped to (finally) use it for breakfast today. The shop is cute with simple but hearty menu options and all kinds of juices and pickled products. I was split between the avocado toast and the quinoa and berries bowl, and ended up going with the toast with an added pickled beet egg. The toast itself was nice. Tasty bread, (what seemed to be) a whole fresh avocado, savory pickled egg... it was tasty and looked pretty, too. My disappointment was with the service. First, the server went from using the POS to making my food without washing his hands or wearing gloves. Kinda gross, pandemic or not. Second, he didn't know how to use the digital gift card, tried twice, and told me the manger would have to figure it out later. I planned to use this gift card, but it was clear I caused a hassle/inconvenience. I've been a barista who worked the morning shift solo--I do understand the challenges of working the counter and prepping food on your own. But as a customer, feeling like I've annoyed the staff is not a fun experience and doesn't make me want to return. If I do, I'll go later in the day and be sure to ask before ordering if they know how their gift cards work. read more

We have made several attempts to like this place. Once again, the staff opened the front and back doors making the restaurant very cold, we could see our breath. Reluctantly, they partially closed the front door. This behavior is overtly rude. If they want to turn away business, it would simpler to close down the restaurant. Additionally, our lattes were lukewarm despite asking for extra-hot and were mostly foam. Finally, this place is way over priced. We will never return and will encourage others not to go. read more

I had the Superfood Salad and they were happy to put my dressing on the side & perceptively asked if I was ok with really high quality olive oil on my greens ... that was really awesome & appreciated (I opted out, but agreed to some apple cider vinegar).
