I love this place and the people who own it and the employees are wonderful. The coffee is great, but what really shines about this place is the healthy food and juice options. The pickles are especially delicious. They often have diamonds pickles that are my absolute fave! My son and I often get the warm oats which are topped with a bunch of yummy things. I also LOVE the kimchee! I must always have a jar in the fridge. Seriously, I get really grumpy if I don't have that kimchee. Lol. read more

We stopped by on our trip from Portland to Ashland. We wanted to go somewhere healthy and this hit the spot. I got an avocado and micro greens sandwich with added tuna and my traveling companion got the kale avocado quinoa salad with added smoked salmon. We also got the kids chia pudding, golden juice, and watermelon and lime juice. Everything was fresh and delicious. The person behind the counter was friendly and efficient. Lovely has become a new staple for our family, since they are very adept at dealing with dietary needs. It is clear they make all of their food with love and high quality ingredients. They recognize me after only visiting a handful of times and they do really fantastic juices. My favorites are their tuna sandwich and also tomato soup (light and spicy). Also the coffee is on point. After seeing all the great reviews, I feel like a buzzkill, but my experience with Lovely was... just not lovely. Right before the pandemic closed everything, I received a digital gift card to Lovely and hoped to (finally) use it for breakfast today. The shop is cute with simple but hearty menu options and all kinds of juices and pickled products. I was split between the avocado toast and the quinoa and berries bowl, and ended up going with the toast with an added pickled beet egg. The toast itself was nice. Tasty bread, (what seemed to be) a whole fresh avocado, savory pickled egg... it was tasty and looked pretty, too. My disappointment was with the service. First, the server went from using the POS to making my food without washing his hands or wearing gloves. Kinda gross, pandemic or not. Second, he didn't know how to use the digital gift card, tried twice, and told me the manger would have to figure it out later. I planned to use this gift card, but it was clear I caused a hassle/inconvenience. I've been a barista who worked the morning shift solo--I do understand the challenges of working the counter and prepping food on your own. But as a customer, feeling like I've annoyed the staff is not a fun experience and doesn't make me want to return. If I do, I'll go later in the day and be sure to ask before ordering if they know how their gift cards work. read more

We have made several attempts to like this place. Once again, the staff opened the front and back doors making the restaurant very cold, we could see our breath. Reluctantly, they partially closed the front door. This behavior is overtly rude. If they want to turn away business, it would simpler to close down the restaurant. Additionally, our lattes were lukewarm despite asking for extra-hot and were mostly foam. Finally, this place is way over priced. We will never return and will encourage others not to go. read more

I had the Superfood Salad and they were happy to put my dressing on the side & perceptively asked if I was ok with really high quality olive oil on my greens ... that was really awesome & appreciated (I opted out, but agreed to some apple cider vinegar). The atmosphere is sunny and fantastic and the salad was literally every single thing I wanted in that moment. The food was made with kindness and care. I love clean food restaurants. The art style invites community and a relaxed atmosphere that allows you to sit back and relax. Fiestaware brings color and character to the serving of food and drink. With all this in mind I did find a few downfalls. The coffee is mediocre. their selections include drip, americano, latte, and mocha but not much else. I ordered a dirty chai and it was made with a tea bag. I asked if they could make a latte instead and they graciously agreed! The service was distracted and frazzled! Any complaints were greeted with immediate response and apologies. the barista forgot my fiance's beverage and they gave us some berries and chocolate to make up for it (not much but its the thought that counts). I love lovely! It's the sort of place where you walk in knowing 100% that you're going to come out with something super yummy but also great for you. I love the juices, the pickles are all great things to stock in the fridge, and I have yet to try any foods that I haven't loved. If you're new to it try the avocado and greens sandwich with cheddar or the quinoa and kale salad bowl. It can be a little slow during the rushes because they make everything so fresh so make sure you have time. And the owners and employees are all lovely as well! read more

Brought us the wrong order 2 times forgot a drink and the prices are insane I got a gf avo sandwich and it was 9$ for the smallest sandwich I have ever seen with the thinnest spread of avocado. The bread was super squishy and didn't go well with the other ingredients on the bread. Gf bread should be toasted longer than regular bread. We also asked for it for here and for some reason they put it in boxes.... this type of food is my favorite, but I don't think we will be back. Juice was fine but expensive and they only had 1 flavor left at 1pm but I guess they were closing in an hour. My husband and I found Lovely on our drive to WA from San Francisco last summer, and now we make a point of stopping every time we make the trip! I had the turkey sandwich. My wife picked it up and I remember thinking it seemed expensive and like it would not be as filling as what I was hoping for. I was wrong. It was huge and made with such high quality ingredients the price seemed like a bargain. The turkey slices were complemented by a generous avocado spread, quick pickled cucumber (very lightly tangy) slices, pickled red onions, and thick slivers of aged white cheddar.
