The chicken was perfectly fried and spicy, and the cheddar chive waffle was delicious! They have a blt, chili and cornbread waffle, and chicken and waffles that I bet are great too! And ice cream! I didn't try any this time, but I'll be back for a different waffle sandwich and some ice cream in the future!

It had been years since I had been to this truck. Well to be honest I have not been to the truck…read moresince it was sold, and even before then I didn't go much because I never went to Ninkasi where it used to be located. Fast forward to now, we moved to Veneta not long ago. I had been passing by the truck parked in the lot at Grocery Outlet, and I have been seeing a lot of posts, and activity about the truck on my Facebook. They have some pulled pork taco's topped with strawberries, Serrano cream cheese, spinach, and a balsamic reduction that have definitely caught my eye. Well I finally had a chance to try them out. Let me tell you. They did not disappoint. I wasn't able to get a pic because someone picked them up for me, and I was too hungry to snap pics. Also I had to pick onions off, which was fine. My guy probably forgot to ask for no onion. The flavors with the pulled pork, balsamic glaze, and strawberries really go well together. I thoroughly enjoyed each bite. I can't wait to go back, and try more menu items. The funny thing that happened later on in the day, we went wine tasting...food trucks were brought up, and they said the owners of Iscream for Waffles comes out there. We were told they also own the Zingaro food truck, but it had been out of commission so he purchased the Iscream for Waffles. Well it makes perfect sense now why I see such creative food on the menu. Not that there wasn't before. But the people who owned Zingaro had such great food, and also had creative menu items at the tap house next to Cornucopia when they were there. I do wonder if they run the Yelp. The reviews on here seem outdated. How ever they are pretty current with their social media on Instagram, and Facebook. They have updated hours, and menu items weekly, as well as more than one location. They are in Eugene again, so you don't have to drive all the way out to Veneta. I how ever am pleased to have them here.

We got there at 830am in Friday with the place fairly empty and by 9 the place was packed. I ordered bacon and eggs. My husband had the peanut butter stuffed French toast. Our son had the chocolate chip pancake. Our server was very kind to our son and made sure his hot chocolate was at a drinkable temperature and was piled high with whipped cream and sprinkles. She came back several times to refill our coffee and check on us. Food was great! Would recommend!

The thousand island was barely perceptible and the corned beef was slightly dry. I like a toasted/grilled sandwich, but flavors were good. And 5 stars on the sweet potato fries! Overall 3.5 stars. Stuffed French Toast - giant pieces of French bread with a light batter dip with a slathering of tasty raspberry jam and cream cheese inside. This was more like a grilled sandwich than French toast since the bread slices were huge but the kiddo loved it. Bacon was nicely done. 3 stars. We weren't super stoked on the French toast and our server went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal and would come back. I usually don't give a rating for service, but this was exceptional. 5+++ stars!

We had spent nearly…read moreeverything we had to make the move, and my husband immediately had to start traveling for his new job. On our first morning in our new town, we went to The Original Pancake House for breakfast. It was a simple meal, but one we were grateful we could afford. When we asked for the check, our server smiled and told us someone had already paid for it. That small act of kindness made me feel like I truly belonged in our new home. It reminded me that even in an unfamiliar place, there were good people who cared about others. Since that day, every time we visit The Original Pancake House, we make it a point to pay it forward whenever we can. It's our way of honoring the kindness that meant so much to us and has stuck with me. Beyond the beautiful memory, the food is incredible. It's hands down the best breakfast I've ever had. Comfort food that tastes like it's made with love. You must try the Dutch baby! The ladies who work there are always so warm and welcoming, making every visit feel like coming home. Some restaurants serve great food. This one gave my family hope when we needed it most, and I'll never forget that.

The Original Pancake House in Eugene is a charming, family-friendly spot with genuine warmth and stellar coffee. The casual, lively vibe makes it feel like the proper brunch destination you'd hope for from a legendary breakfast joint. We ordered their hero dish--a side of buttermilk pancakes--and the Irish Omelette. The pancakes delivered real flavor: fluffy, tender, with classic buttermilk tang. My only critique? They arrived cool, likely from sitting in the warmth window a bit too long. Off the griddle, these would shine. The Irish Omelette was more disappointing. Designed to be airy and light with corned beef and potatoes inside, ours was overcooked and rubbery--far from the delightful, pillowy texture it should be. For a restaurant with this history, execution should be consistent. The coffee and service were warm and attentive, which goes a long way. 3/5 stars. Worth visiting for atmosphere, especially if your pancakes arrive hot. Try during slower service to avoid the window-sit fate. The Portland location executes at a higher level.

It was super busy when I visited around 9:45am on a Monday, so you know they're good. I was greeted immediately and placed my order quickly. The girl working the register was super helpful and friendly. I wanted to try the seasonal banana bread cold brew, but I can't have caffeinated drinks so I asked if it could be made decaf. She said she can do it as a decaf latte instead and I agreed. It is SO good! It's sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. You can taste banana and cinnamon, perfectly balanced. I was worried the banana flavor would be fake tasting but it's not, it tastes like real bananas. I also got the Sasquatch sushi because I had to know what it was and it was amazing. It's a pbj with banana, in sushi form! It's such a cool idea and tasted fantastic. My partner was also super entertained by it and he loved it too. I got the Sunbreak breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Everything I had here today was fantastic! I love this little cafe and will absolutely be back. I already recommended them to two of my friends as well. Go here, you won't regret it!
