Was traveling with my friend who is gf. We both wanted some good coffee shop breakfast. We were so lucky to have found this place. Everything we tried was DELICIOUS. We tried each of the galettes- so great. And we each got something sweet to take with us. For me, I got one of the best muffins I've ever had! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area! It's a perfect shop to enjoy the atmosphere and enjoy a great gf breakfast.

They run out of things by the afternoon. But you can see the great selection.

So excited for this place to open. I have been buying her goods at the Saturday market for a while. The pear tart is one of my favorites. But if they ever have baguettes, definitely get one! Revolutionary. Such a sweet space and friendly service. Nice selection of tea and coffee to go with your delicious pastries. Gluten free is just a bonus. The delicious baked goods are the reason to come in.

The fish and chips was sad, the pieces they gave were tiny very dense and breaded almost like a chicken strip and they looked like half of a tilapia fillet, definitely not what I expected from the GIANT picture on their reader board. Dairy Queen's chicken fingers are bigger than these pieces of fish. The tartar sauce is prepackaced and super processed and very chemical tasting. The saddest part is what they call their coleslaw, I get it, its a burger joint but dang the coleslaw is literally cabbage and no sauce, no flavor, there seems to be very little QC or manager checking food and taste on some stuff here at this location. The service at the window is always friendly and prompt once you get up there but the wait is usually pretty bad. I know you guys are local and I know you guys can do better. Whoever is managing this location you need to step up the QC on things like the slaw, make your own tartar sauce, and just step it up. I expect so much more from a local place like this, but as it is your just a bit below what I'd expect from a Burger King or McDonalds.

We were able to chat with the owner who was friendly and patient with our questions. Often times we prefer to get a few sides of meat instead of a burrito or something with extra toppings. It's always a litmus of how flexible and accommodating a food truck is, and fortunately the owner was able to do that and for a reasonable price. I also got a couple of tacos that were also reasonably priced and very tasty and filling. There was plenty of sitting outside by the food truck including a good bit of covered seating with back support. So no worries there. It may be a bit less accommodating if it was cold or hot out. Would definitely recommend grabbing a bite from this place the next time you're at Ninkasi.

I was impressed with not only the quality of food but the quantity. I got some sides of meat since I try to keep things low-carb, and I was excited to see the sides already priced on the menu, which I don't see too often with other food trucks. On top of that, the owner Doreen was incredibly nice and friendly. We had a good time at chatting with her. The food was really good quality and not too salty, which is something that tends to happen with Mexican food. We also tried their homemade cheese sauce, which was also delicious. Side of meat and two tacos were relatively inexpensive for food truck food. I would easily come here again, and I know my husband would too because it's an excuse to go to Ninkasi again.

The menu is broad enough that there's plenty to pick from. We were there for dinner. The food was delicious! Mom had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (they were even good as cold leftovers!!). The sandwich comes with a combo of 3 melted cheeses. Dad had the honey glazed chicken. Also really good. Hubby had the 2-meat BBQ plate with pulled pork and 1/2 rack of ribs. He really liked his ribs. He was pleased with the baked beans, too. And I got the steak salad. Delicious! When trying a new place, I always go for that and I was not disappointed one bit! I tried both the baker's roll (rosemary and sage today) and the heart attack roll. Neither made me think I was eating GF. As first-timers, we were given free chocolate chip cookies. The centers were soft and moist with crisp edges. I do like a ymmy sweet to finish off the meal. It's really nice to have a GF restaurant where the family can all go and find something without compromising selection or taste. We'll certainly be back!!

As we…read morewere walking to the table, they asked if it was our first visit (it was), as that meant complimentary chocolate chip cookies! The large menu can seem a bit overwhelming, but once you figure out how the BBQ plates work, it's easy to order one of their standard dishes, or customize your own combo. I ended up going with the "Single Plate", with an additional side. I got pulled pork with Carolina BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, a baker's roll (varies from day to day), and added sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The pulled pork was a little more "wet" than I'm used to, but it was smoky and flavorful, especially with the BBQ sauce. The roll was almost muffin-like, with rosemary seasoning mixed into the batter, which I quite enjoyed. The mac n' cheese definitely has a cheesy texture, with a caramelized top, but the flavors weren't as sharp as I like -- still very good, especially after I accidentally spilled some of that Carolina BBQ sauce on top of it. My food gets all mixed together on a BBQ plate, anyway; so why not? LOL The sweet potato waffle fries get their own section, because they were that good. The coating was crispy and well seasoned, with a slight kick -- they were amazing. I would probably ask for ketchup to dip them in next time, but since they had brought me extra BBQ sauce (without my asking), I just used that... or ate them without any dipping sauce. Our server was amazing throughout our lunch. She was always friendly and informative, and really helped make for a great experience. She remembered our cookies at the end (we got them to go), and didn't miss a beat when we decided to order from their dessert case last minute. Since it was "pi day", they had lots of pie related options -- all small servings, for 1 or 2. My wife and I shared a Key Lime bar, which was delicious. It was a little richer than I expected, but was nice and creamy, with that tart lime kick. The crust was good and crunchy, too. We knew coming in that this establishment was all gluten-free, even though nobody in our party needed to avoid gluten, and I was preparing myself to be disappointed -- and I can happily say that never happened! A lot of what E&T serves is homemade, and they obviously know what they are doing, so their GF offerings far surpass many dining establishment's full gluten options. If you have lower expectations for GF food, as I did, leave them at the door. Even my daughter, who is a pretty good baker herself, was impressed with the "heart attack" roll that she ordered with her meal -- we have never seen GF bread that fluffy! These guys obviously know what they are doing. Oh yeah, and those chocolate chip cookies? So good -- soft, and loaded with chocolate chips. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.

It's on a cute street in the heart of downtown, just blocks from the riverfront. It's a small space with a couple of indoor tables and a few tables on the sidewalk. We were greeted warmly and given time to look over the menu and space to ask questions. We went with a dozen, 2 of each flavor, and a couple of drinks. We all really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar, which was served piping hot. My husband loved the maple. My favorites were the lemon poppyseed and the chocolate, which tasted a lot like a brownie. My daughter's favorite was the s'mores, you could definitely taste the marshmallow in the glaze. It's astonishing that these are vegan and gluten free! They were better than I expected, better than a "regular" one. My daughter got their strawberry matcha and declared it better than any she had in Japan. It had strawberry puree on the bottom and was dusted with strawberry on top. We also tried their seasonal latte, which was good! This will be a must visit anytime we are remotely near Salem and we would love to see them open a spot in Portland! Just putting that into the universe.
