THIS MAN, wow, just wow. He truly cares about every crevice of each nail of yours. He takes time to examine each nail before he goes onto the next to make sure that they look exactly the way not only you want them, but to his degree of perfection. Doesn't speak much, but all his attention is on your hands. He may not talk much, unless he's asking for your preferences, but you know that quote that goes something like "you never forget how someone made you feel" or whatever, yeah, well, even though he barely spoke, his actions revealed more about him. For example, my mom didn't see that there were paper towels after she washed her hands and sat down with them wet, and he giggled and said "oh there's some in the wall" before I could get up to grab some he said "it's okay, I have some right here." Like it's not a major thing, but it's little things like that make people like him shine. Anyways, enough hyping the guy up. Off to the place, it's pretty hidden in my perspective. My mom and I are from a Modesto, and I looked at most reviews back home and they're usually 3-4 stars which isn't inviting, so I searched a little further and found this place. There are 8 pedicure chairs, 6 manicure stations, a bathroom (not sure if we can use it? I didn't ask). When you think of clean, the place is just that. It didn't give the aura of scum, it very nice.

The folks working here were so kind. I called in the morning and they got my mom and I an appointment for later in the day. They got us all situated as soon as we arrived. They took their time with the pedicure and offered upgrades, which I obliged. They took extra gentle care of my mother who is undergoing treatments that render her very sensitive and weak. The prices and expectations were very clear, which I really appreciated! They had a great variety of colors too! I was only visiting from out of town but will definitely come back when in town! Note: Venmo or cash only. This would be helpful to know before going in. Luckily, I had Venmo but I know many people don't. They have an ATM in the salon but I'm sure there's a fee (which isn't fun).

Got my nails done here for the first time since my prom and was very satisfied. Daeja (sorry if I spelt wrong) was the sweetest nail tech and made me feel very comfortable. I absolutely love my simple, clean, modern nail look. Would definitely recommend and go back again! P.s. my nails in the photo are a week old.

I'm visiting from out of town and needed a pedicure. I found Lovely Nails on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I was very happy with the service and the end result! Just a heads up, they seem to only take cash (maybe Venmo or something too, not sure) so have cash on hand, otherwise their ATM charges a $2 fee.

I came in today for my daughter first pedicure. All the ladies were so nice to her and made sure to tell her how pretty her nails were. She's 5 and loves every minute of it. She ended up getting a pedicure and her fingernails painted. The nail tech added some extra glitter and polka dots to the color she chose and that just made her day she made me call everyone and let them know about her nails.The lady that did my pedicure did a great job as well. I love my toes. Will definitely be coming in again now that I know my little can sit still long enough to get them done. Thank you ladies you all made her entire day. All the ladies in there were very nice. read more

Mediocre service and very rude employees. They make things very difficult when you asked for a simple adjustment, one of the employees made it lump in my gel full set of nails and never even fixed it +3 crooked nails. read more

I was never a "one salon" kind of girl until I got my nails done at Lovely Nails! Now this is the only place I will go. Everyone is so welcoming & easy going. Gone are my days sitting in a salon chair, listening to what we all assume is the nail technician talking about you to their co-workers... LOL! These people are awesome! Be sure to make an appointment though, because they are awesome, they book out kinda quickly. read more

Kayla did an amazing job! Nails came out amazing, and I love how they were able to fit me in for a full set on the same day. I would recommend calling for an apt since they seemed so busy today. Their color selection did seem a bit smaller than most, but i was still able to get something nice done. A bit pricey, but nothing too outrageous. Thank you Kayla! read more

I'm from Los Angeles and I'm here for the weekend and thought of getting my pedi done while I'm out here. Well... I guess people just don't like to work or earn money. The salon was empty, two of the technicians were on their cellphones and I was not serviced because "they did not have time". The salon closes at 6:00 PM. Suggestion... Remove the "Walk-ins Welcome" if you only work by appointment only. read more

I just had the best experience here. Lati just did my nails and they look amazing. I am very happy with the shape. I told her she could do what ever nail art she wanted. She did stamping, jewels and hologram!! Omg they are Awesome! Great customer service . I will definitely be back for a full I. Two weeks. read more

NO! Apparently they close at 6, not 7!! Even though that's what the sign outside the door says & even though appointments are not REQUIRED. As soon as we walked in they said, nope, "we're closed see you tomorrow", uhm yeah right! Also, there was three employees chatting it up. We arrived at 6:15 & they didn't want to see us. "open" sign still on & all. Not someone I want to do business with. read more

I love this place! My sister and I have been going to Brock and Daysia since they were over at queens nails. We love their personality, and especially their work! It is never a boring appointment with these two! Their work is impeccable. I always get compliments, they have some of the most hip colors, and beautiful designs. They are the best nail salon in Turlock. Seriously, take it from me, I have been to almost every nail salon in Turlock and I am super picky! Not to mention that everything in their salon is brand-new! If you haven't been here, you're sure missing out! Next time you need a pedicure or a full set you should call and make an appointment, because you definitely won't regret it. They are awesome! read more

I've gone here twice and both times I've walked out with bomb ass nails that I love. My second time coming here I had a young man do my nails and he did a fantastic job on them I loved how they turned out, BUT he was unprofessional in the fact that his phone kept going off and he was constantly stopping to check it. Check his messages and answer calls. The calls were directed for future appointments so that didn't bother me too too much but what did was the stopping to text people. Unprofessional if you ask me. Nails wise this place does an amazing job read more

This is a great salon! Extremely clean and sanitized. Each pedi bath has a liner and the jet removed and sanitized each time. Very professional and well done. My feet are so smooth and the French tip looks perfect and is so straight! Will definitely return! My mom also gets her nails done here and they are always beautiful and stay on for 3 weeks! read more

I have been going to Lovely Nails for 8 or 9 months now. This place is awesome. I did a lot of research and read tons of reviews, I've also tried more than enough salons in Modesto, Oakdale and Turlock. This is THE ONE!. Everyone is friendly and great at their job. The place was obviously set up by people that know the profession and how to get a nice flow. This place truly is THE BEST CHOICE in Stanislaus. I have never to disappointed. Went I today to see if I could get my nails done for Christmas. I was informed by a nice Vietnamese man the different prices ranging from $20 on up to $35. I just recently went to Lovely nails and I was lucky to get in quick for a pedicure on a Saturday! They are usually always busy so it's best to make an appointment! I really love this place! I forgot ask the name of the lady that did my pedi but she's awesome! Really nice and helpful and I really liked that she makes you feel comfortable and is sociable. I also ended up doing a manicure with her and I loved it!! Very clean place n all the ladies working there are very attentive and polite. Definitely will be back! ;) read more

I was debating on coming here and I decided that I'll try coming here to see If I like it, and I love how thick my nails are, how the sides are covered, and just how good and pretty my nails look. For the price being 30 and how good they do, I'm happy to come back cuz i usually go to someone that charges 35-45 and she good but she doesn't make them thick like how I like it so they break easy. Now I feel better that my nails are thicker thanks to lovely nails. read more

I'm from Texas and the two times I've came to this place while on vacation, I feel like moving in with the generosity and how welcoming they are here! I LOVE this place! I'm moving back to Turlock in 5 months and this will be my regular every two week to go place! The sanitation is on point, the skills are on point and over all great place to get your pampering on. Brock is an amazing artist and I am so happy with my new nails. He did a beautiful job and he gets things done quickly. Wow guys so disappointed. I used to come here all the time and my nails always came out perfect every time. Today I decided to go since I was in the area and get a gel manicure before my baby shower tomorrow .. and all I gotta say it's the worst manicure I have ever gotten. Not only did I leave with raw feeling skin around my nails bc he filed it so aggressively and sprayed rubbing alcohol about 5 times but also with clear nail polish sticking my nails & skin together. The color is so pretty but the job is so ugly. Paid $30 for nails that do not look like they're worth $30. read more

Sometimes it's hard to get appointments here, so I recommend booking a few days in advance. However, they do an amazing job! I've had Lati and Kayla do my nails and they take their time and really care if they look good, not about flipping their customers. I've finally found a nail salon I'm happy with. WORST GEL MANICURE EVER! If there was an option for 0 stars I'd give -1. My friend and I went in and the pedicure was fine , but the gel was not as thick as normal. Worst part of all it started to peel 3 days after I got them done. The woman who did my nails look as if she was either in pain or didn't want to be there. Very disappointed never going back again. read more

This place is beautiful. Felt very comfortable at this place. Came in and got my nails done right away. I got a full set with a gel color. The guy that worked on my nails did an awesome job. He took his time on my nails. I accidentally smudge them but he fixed it and did so well. I would come back again that's for sure. The price was not that bad. read more

I was looking for a nail salon close to my work. This salon definitely caught my attention due to the awesome reviews here on help and I'm glad that I came here. Mai (sp?) took care of my pedicure and was very quick and efficient. I barely had to tell her what to do and did everything well! She also did my shellac and I mentioned to her my pet peeve with the shellac painted on my cuticles and she definitely did everything the way I expected and loved. I will be back here for sure, but next time instead of walking in, I need to make an appointment since there was a kids birthday party when I arrived and had to wait about 20-30 minutes. Love this place. Great costumer service, clean, and busy. I suggest that you make an appointment, but walk ins are welcomed. Daysia did my nails. Had acrylic nails on. She took them off and put gel. They look amazing. Some of my real nails were damaged but she fixed them and made them look beautiful! They take card but charge a small fee of $1. Not complaining. It was convenient for me since I do not carry cash. read more

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at this salon. During my pedicure, there was a…read morecockroach in the water while my feet were soaking. I immediately brought it to the technician's attention, and she removed it with her gloves--but then continued working on my feet with the same gloves, without washing hands or changing them. She threw the cockroach away in the trash and another guy ran to empty out the trash, surely before I took a photo or video. There was no apology, no effort to restart the service with proper sanitation, and the situation was not handled professionally. This raised serious hygiene concerns for me. I contacted my doctor and now I am advised to keep an eye on my feet -look for redness, swelling, cuts, or signs of infection over the next few days. I'm keeping record of this whole situation with my Dr in case I need move forward with a more serious and medical complaint. In addition, I did not receive the full service I paid for (the massage was skipped), and my preferences were not respected during the appointment. It also felt like they rushed to get me out of there as quickly as possible. Despite all of this, I was still charged full price. I attempted to address this directly with the guy at the front desk "in charge" but he pretended that he didn't know what had happened even tho I saw the girl who was working on my toes go to him a few times and chatted with him. His only response to me was "I have to call pest control". If it is not properly resolved -with a full refund, I will be filing a formal complaint with the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology regarding the sanitation practices I experienced. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon. -----UPDATE----- Thank you for your response. However, I'm disappointed that no one has contacted me directly to address this situation. Given the seriousness of the sanitation concerns I experienced, along with being charged full price for an incomplete service, I am requesting a full refund and direct follow-up from management. A general statement about reviewing this "internally" does not resolve the issue or address the impact of what occurred. Please contact me within 3 business days to resolve this matter. If I do not hear back, I will be proceeding with filing a formal legal complaint, complaint with the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and updating my review to reflect the lack of resolution. I would prefer to resolve this directly and give your business the opportunity to make this right.

First let it be known that this is the first time I have ever left a review- anywhere!! I made an appointment 2 weeks ago for a fill. Went in, Brock did my nails. I made a follow up appointment for 2 weeks. So today, I race to the salon from work to make my appointment, and guess what- he isn't working today. And the girls working were just like- sorry, he's not here-would you like to reschedule? Reschedule???? I'm never coming back to this place. So incredibly unprofessional and completely disappointing!!!! It's even more irritating that I had to leave a star. I started going to Liz at Lovely Nails as a recommendation from my cousin late last year. I have been going every 2-3 weeks since then to get a pedicure & manicure. I am always satisfied with the way my toes & fingers turn out. The price is reasonable and the ladies are very nice. Liz is always willing to offer new colors or nail designs and keeps in mind my favorite colors. This is a great salon and very clean, I will continue to recommend Lovely Nails. read more

I randomly drove past and saw a "grand opening" sign out front. I stopped by as a walk-in and was extremely pleased! My pedicure was the best one I've ever had. The newly remodeled shop was beautiful and I can tell that the people working there have many years of experience. I have been going to Lovely Nails for a few months now and have gotten pedicures by most of the ladies. I have always been able to make an appt for the same day and when I arrive, the pedicure station is already prepared for me. I enjoy the chatting with the ladies and they take their time making sure I am satisfied. Lovely Nails is my go to from now on, best place in town. read more

It wasn't a busy day and I did make an appointment due to the reviews, it was just okay service. I got a basic pedicure w/ shellac and it was $40. no designs, no glitter just a nice coral color. But, $40? The pedicure was not worth that. Will I go back Probably not. read more
